So if I understand the four punch raiders thing... this should be the short squeeze, right?

Were far from a real short squeeze.  If anything were closer to a long (probably a lot of stop losses in the 220's)

Yes. 12m or 6m swaps chart leads to conclusion that big price drop = longs drop, and we're pretty high with longs now.
Ofc we don't know for sure, but maybe longs needs to drop/crash so we can go higher in price.

More demand

Walls on both sides of the orderbook. I think we're in a holding pattern until we find out more about when the otc fund starts trading, and how much demand there will be for it. It'll be a good chance to mark the price up ahead of those wanting to get in.

Edit: I think there is a good chance there will be solid demand based on overall professional interest from Wall Steet, anecdotal evidence from Winklevii and the guys @ Bitpay (who trade a with basket of currencies) about hedge funds and investment firms looking to take positions, also high interest in the government auctions.

It opens the doors for people who don't wish to open up a Coinbase / Circle / Gemini account.  Owning btc without the hassle of having a wallet is a plus for a lot of americans.

are those 2 times 200 BTC sells on Bittinex real, in the sense will they stay=??? if so, it looks like we are going down in price??

If they wanted to take it below 250 they could of done so hours ago... Also if they are going to short it would be done a bit higher
825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 26, 2015, 05:35:19 PM
any minute now, tarmi will realize that he needs to double down on his short.

Nah, he stated earlier he is waiting for higher prices which i'm sure he will get in a few hours.

What are current amounts of borrowed money for longs/shorts? Is there a good place to find this for the whole market?
Weekly report time...

BFXData.

Currently 22k in BTC shorts and 24 million in longs.

Thanks. Interpretation? That's a lot more in longs unless I've misunderstood it.

yeah about 4-5x in USD.. at least there isn't to much swaps available, but that doesn't mean to much really...plenty of usd to go around =)

Rare limited collectors item right here folks!

Og, do you know how many of these were made/shipped?

I can't see how this is legal in any way  Undecided

Wow that really sucks.  How did you end up losing control of the email associated with this account?  There are no recovery options?  What email provider is it?
830  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Proof that ClearHash.Net is a ponzi on: March 26, 2015, 04:06:37 PM
I wonder how much they got away with.

831  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 26, 2015, 01:58:48 PM
that 2k buy on bitfinex was a shorter who panicked.

thanks dude, great entry point for my new position.

btc you have my permission to crash & burn again.

How do you know? Bfxdata still showing over 23k shorts for me

they always lag. besides, it was pretty obvious.

I think we can make another leg or two soon just to scare those shorts in the next couple of days.

I think the lag is sometimes up to 15 minutes.  I've seen it update quicker than that on occasion.

Looks like another dark market might go down?

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/304rhd/why_the_fck_are_we_dropping_faster_than_a_fat/

Code:
"Evolution market just exit scammed, and now if you head over to /r/darknetmarkets you
can see that Agora, the second largest market (now largest), has just said they're going offline for
24-48 hours for a "security update." People are extremely nervous to say the least. If Agora runs off
too then that's basically the entire real economy of bitcoin going poof."

Per the Whale Club, Agora is back up and running.

Yeah but the evo coins are still on the loose

Seems like it's stabilized for now
834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going back down to 230, then 180, then 150, then 66? on: March 25, 2015, 11:23:00 PM
I don't think we will even see 230 but that's just me.

We did see 230's for a second last night.  I'm sure it was just to test the waters, but i'm more worried if it breaks into the 220's.

Bears are pretty close to kicking in the stop losses
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: You heard it hear 1st on: March 25, 2015, 11:20:44 PM
Sub $200 will take a lot of miners out.  Can the big farms even sustain below $150?

836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 25, 2015, 02:45:33 PM
Santa Claus came to visit my bids last night.

500 contracts filled at 234  Grin  Unloaded @ 252 and opened up a few short at 253.. waiting now

837  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are headed to $50 on: March 25, 2015, 03:41:53 AM
At this point $150 is way more likely than $500.
Anyone saying otherwise is crazy.

Given that were at 24 million longs I would agree.  Once those stop losses start to kick in things might get ugly.  I don't think we will reach that point unless we get coins coming from the evolution heist.

Wooo Hoooo !!!!!!

LOL, the price drops $20 in the space of 24 hours, then bounces $5 and suddenly we're heading to the moon  Roll Eyes

Been a rough day, had to give it a shot.

We might end up over 250 in a few hours..give it a little time.  Volume isn't to high atm either so  Wink
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 24, 2015, 07:28:12 PM
Really hope this price holds until pay day Friday.

It looks rather uneasy. Maybe you'll get an even better discount.

we just keep swinging from 245-247
