we picked coming sunday to give everyone time enough to get their wallet updated.

the update is taking a bit longer than expected. my apologies. you can turn your wallets on and the exchanges are still on the old chain. ive been working on this with Banzai and Tillkoeln till late last night and i think we are close to the final release but have to do some more testing first to see if everything works ok. thank you for your patience and support so far.

ok the moment of the fork is very close now guys. i would advise everyone to keep their wallet closed for now and dont move coins from the exchanges untill youve installed the new wallet and its confirmed that the exchange is running the latest wallet. c-cex is waiting for my reply to switch to the new wallet, im currently talking with dominikherzog from yobit. stay tuned

yes the fork is right on shedule. first i'll change the code to the new APR %, have it compiled and distributed amongst a few people who run services etc, then i'll add the nodes to the source and have it compiled for public release. most likely the 1337 wallets on both exchanges will go into maintenance for a few moments but since its not alot of new code to review i dont expect it to take too long. you dont have to do anything besides making a backup of your wallet and replacing the .exe after its released.

ok guys a little update, the fork to bring down the APR to 669% is delayed till wednesday. this will give us some more time to test a few things and i can put some hardcoded nodes who are on the right chain in the wallet. sorry for the delay but for now you can still enjoy staking at 1337%/year.

I'm currently waiting for a plugin to use on a webshop platform so i can accept 1337 payments. i already bought some nice games etc so i'll post a service thread here on BCT to get things started. im also looking for other kinds of good or services to resell so if you have some suggestions feel free to post them.

great, i created an account yesterday and sent some 1337 to see how it stakes on there.

probably a bit sooner then that. the thing is that its hard to say an exact number because all 1337 blocks have different sizes. best we can do imho is make a good estimate. also, i hope that at least the stake2play shop will be fully fuctional before the 2nd halving so people will get to spent their 1337 and so taking away some of the sell pressure.

consider yourselves insured by me. send me a pm if there are no changes in the next few days. although this was just a beta testing phase i have to admit that their support needs some work too. rest assured, you wont lose your coins.

yes it will be reduced to 669% APR when we hit 750m and will keep 'halving' from there till its final 13.37% APR. this will need some planning with the exchanges etc. c-cex's owner has been very helpful so far.

I received a PM from Gliss (coinmarketcap) and he has implemented the fix provided by Banzai last night. Its a bit behind at times, possibly updating x times a day or so.

not sure what you heard but im talking with some indie game devs and a big social platform for indie gamers to accept 1337 as a tipping coin. i have to admit that things are a bit slow now because i had a flu for the last 3 days but looks like it improving.

agreed, ive sent a pm to Gliss who looks like the owner of coinmarketcap so hopefully it will be fixed soon. as for total supply, there wont be a cap on that. since 1337 is pure pos its nearly impossible to have a cap on it because the blockchain wouldnt move with staking. i am however debating to lower the APR % to decrease the daily supply. this will be done slowly and most likely when we reach a current supply of 700M.

We have to look a bit further though, crypto is not only to be traded on exchanges, i'll try to give 1337 a purpose other than that. I'm currently working on the Stake2Play concept which will give the stakers a place to spend some of their 1337 to purchase games, hosting, VPN's and more. Beta will launch on BCT in the services section, after that we will launch the webshop.

Im also trying to get some indie game devs onboard of the 1337 train, some of them released fantastic games for free so it would be nice to give them a few tips in 1337. 1337 is cheap and stakes very generous, ive given away more than 2M in total till now and will try to continue with doing that.
