842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible Sports Betting Shop Operations on: August 26, 2023, 01:18:26 AM
This is how every sports betting shop should operate, in my own opinion. It's more about the mental well-being of the client than about the revenue accrued by the business. The screenshot I am going to share is from a Twitter user who shared his story of how a betting shop operator stopped him from betting after he noticed that he was placing bets on games every day for one week. The bet operator suspected that he was addicted to gambling. This is very commendable. from the bet operator who is educated on the symptoms of gambling addiction. If you were in the narrator's shoes, would you take a break from gambling despite knowing that you are not addicted, or would you patronize another betting shop?

Commendable!!!
And I believe that every betting site should have similar control, whether it is something predetermined by the site itself or a manual "inspection" by a casino operator.
Every casino always has someone keeping an eye on the bets in order to catch a strange operation that could be the result of a scam/fraud against the site, why couldn't that same person also detect a player's addiction and alert him?
Or else, if this is to increase the cost, the site could at least have a tool in which the player himself could stipulate his daily/weekly values of bets or maximum losses, being able to block new activities, force him to take a break or then just issue an alert.
I'm sure a lot of players would love to have something like this, and it could increase players' return rate.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much it cost to most ALL internet with your casino advertisement? $6.2m/d on: August 26, 2023, 01:12:58 AM
~snip~

so if we multiply everything on everything we will get.. $6,234,850.00 per one day.

Here is my calculation to check (and also list of about 200 top websites, discords, forums, media and twitters to check): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BYc7otdNjCEUvBf8KWz72zjXDAEmVqGtSzCWPQCvKik/edit#gid=1996305011

well, not that expensive, after all Smiley

Certainly no casino site will invest this entire amount in a single day.
It takes good analytics and marketing tools to choose the right channels at the right times.
Some platform will give more return to the site on weekends, another in festive seasons or else in some quick promotion that the site wants to promote, but they will never happen simultaneously all on the same day in the proportion you estimated.

However, still the values should be astronomical. However, I believe that the return pays off and the profits are greater than what is invested in marketing.

As long as salah will not be showing good progress in liverpool, the club may consider him to be sold anytime soon. Salah has become the main target by saudi pro league club but liverpool just wanna keep him much longer.

I disagree with you.
As has already been said... Jürgen Klopp doesn't want to lose any more important part of his squad at Liverpool. Despite Al-Ittihad having made a millionaire proposal to take the Egyptian, it is notable that Klopp was quite upset but said that the striker is "committed" to the club and that he would not release him if that proposal actually arrives.

I think this is very good, because the Saudi government and clubs need to realize that their money cannot buy everything. At least the players that European clubs can hold on to should do so at all costs.

As I mentioned in a previous topic... Saudi Arabia is also starting to focus its scouts on promising young talents and will soon dominate world football. So Europe needs to start protecting itself and not give up.

848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 23, 2023, 11:49:21 PM
I don't know where some gamblers are getting their confidence from, do you know that online casinos can keep rejecting your ID after you made some high amount of money? Some people cares about winning first before passing KYC, it's cool you believe that you won't always win but the luck comes when we least expected.

Imagine winning and you find it hard to pass KYC, trapping your money on the casino for like ever.

It's not always the casinos fault, I know some are dubious but the thing is KYC verification is something you should first deal with before making your first deposit.

Online casinos can be frustrating at times, some casino won't accept your submitted document even when you haven't make any deposit on the platform yet, so always confirm your identity first.

Submit your identity and wait for approval, do not be in haste to make deposit first, because the identity you submitted without a green approval from the team can still be rejected, take your time to get the passed approval first before proceeding with gambling.

I disagree with you. I have an account in some casinos where I did not carry out the KYC until today, I did not do it for the reasons below:
1. I play for fun, relatively low values and I always convert my winnings into more bets because I don't have profit as the ultimate goal;
2. My bets are mostly sports, so the profit I get from each bet is smaller than other games of chance, I am aware that I will not become rich overnight;
3. No money in this world buys my privacy, I'd rather be guaranteed to remain anonymous and "try my luck" than send my documents and selfies to all casino sites;
4. I am of legal age, residing in a country that is not restricted in the casinos where I play, my documents are up to date, my source of income is legal... I have nothing to fear and I believe that it would be a lot of incompetence for a casino to tarnish your reputation with me by trying to fail me in a KYC process.

Protect your privacy!

A man experiencing cardiac arrest and who later died was slumped over a blackjack table at Wynn Las Vegas for more than 15 minutes while the dealer continued to deal cards to another player, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed this week in District Court. David Jagolinzer, an attorney from Florida, was staying at the Wynn when he suffered a cardiac arrest on April 6, 2022, while playing blackjack on the casino floor. The dealer at his table continued to deal while Jagolinzer was slumped over, according to a complaint filed Thursday.

Man, I believe that every country has very clear laws about medical emergencies, I don't know if in the place where this fact actually occurred it was necessary to have a medical team or first aid kits available, but obviously I am to believe that AT A MINIMUM they should have called the emergency requesting urgent medical help.
It's notable how even today many face-to-face casinos value profit in the first place, as they believed that any "different" movement could generate turmoil and losses for the house.... regretful to have to read this.

But I agree with a colleague here.... I believe that no one noticed that the bettor was feeling sick, even because in this game it is necessary to "maintain discretion" in order to be able to bluff correctly and also interpret the opponents' body result.

In any case, I believe that the casino is the main culprit in the case of omission of help, and should be punished.

I can't even believe it. I remember that how long napoli was trying to approach him but he said yes to join in the al ahli since he was still 21 years old. Is not it a loss for him? I meant he is still very young and he can consider to play in a good team on serie a like napoli.
~snip~

Now, Arab football surprised me too.... in fact, their project of taking renowned players to their local league seems to be entering a new "stage".
It was very clear to me that the presence of Bobby Firmino and Mahrez in Al Ahli, Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, Karim Benzema, Fabinho, and so many other stars with a solid career in Europe does not seem to be enough for the government's plans saudi. Now their objective is to also bring players still promising from the European continent? Now we're screwed!!!

Just this week I was commenting that this is a great opportunity for young talents to have an opportunity in Europe, as the Arabs were hiring renowned players and so Europe had a great niche of opportunities for new talents. However, this signing of Gabri Vieira changed everything.

The Saudi government is really not playing around and it seems to me that they will continue to invest heavily in new hires.
851  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: O bearish case para o bitcoin on: August 23, 2023, 12:10:41 AM

O Bitcoin apesar de seus momentos de instabilidade sempre irá "se corrigir" e novas melhorias sempre são lançadas;
Questões regulatórias emaçam o bitcoin desde sempre mas a sua capacidade ser descentralizado nunca impedirá os "chefões" de derrubá-lo;
Sua UX não é complexa... o Bitcoin está a cada dia mais fácil de usar, não entendi esse ponto;
Hacks ou bugs eu vido que ocorram, a equipe é muito prudente nas suas atualizações, o software é robusto e seguro, mantido pelos melhores devs que existem e com o mundo inteiro de olho em cada linha de código (eu nunca olhei, mas acho que o @TryNinja revisa tudo sempre Tongue);

853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: August 22, 2023, 11:51:58 PM
Brazilian players dream of playing in European clubs.  Various clubs in Europe view Brazil's minor tournaments as a big deal and take good notice of everyone's games. After taking good notice of each one's performance, the president of the club offered him a contract from the club, which fulfilled the hopes of the Brazilian star. Most of the Brazilians are being watched by Real Madrid and Barcelona. Directly these two clubs offer young players. Many Brazilian players are performing for various clubs across Europe. There are so many Brazilian stars in Europe that the Brazil team management has to take on a lot of challenges in announcing the squad because in Europe every player plays well in their own position so it becomes a big concern for the management to decide which player to leave out and which player to keep.

Certainly now scouts are much more attentive to good players, not only from Brazil but from all over Latin America, because the Arab Emirates are "stealing" European players with offers they can't refuse and so it is necessary to try to fill the gap occupied by these players.

Not only in America, but all over the world we have excellent potential players, the big clubs just need to have a less discriminatory vision and know how to see these opportunities, invest in new players.

I believe that this departure of European players to the United Arab Emirates will not last long, they signed some relevant players to be able to attract the attention of the world and raise the greed of other players in order to create an "organic flow" of new signings without the need to pay astronomical amounts for it.
Meanwhile, still unknown players may get their chance to break into Europe.... I hope this is a good thing.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: August 22, 2023, 11:45:48 PM
My question is simple, do star players really affect the odds of a bet, or wager or stake on a match, putting into consideration the four levels of contribution in a match, as I mentioned earlier?

In terms of the game, the result obviously depends very little on a single player, no matter how "idolized" his team is, so I believe in the "placebo effect" that you mentioned.

However, we know that the existence or not of these players on the field in a certain way end up influencing the betting probability a lot, even though the result does not change much technically, people believe that this player in some way always has a great importance for the match. team. In this sense, I think bookmakers also take this into account and adjust the ODDS more or less according to these movements.

My opinion then: Technically, the stars don't make much difference, but when we talk about betting then this has a relevant impact.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Stay Safe and Avoid Scams When Gambling Online on: August 22, 2023, 11:32:37 PM
The only thing you must do to avoid scams when gambling online

You must only do one thing to avoid scams when gambling online. So what’s the one thing sports bettors and online gaming players must do to prevent scams? Check it out!

The only thing you must do is sign up with a bitcoin or other crypto only online sportsbook and online casino
The best way to stay safe and avoid scams is to open an online gambling account with a bitcoin only, or other crypto only, online sportsbook or online casino.

~snip~

Man, I'm sorry to say, but even on crypto betting sites you can get scammed.
The most important tip is to know where you are depositing your money or cryptocurrencies, there are many scam sites that accept cryptos, in fact I believe that it is much easier to steal cryptos than to steal fiat.

As for providing data, crypto sites in fact only ask for an email when you sign up, but most of them will ask you for documents, selfie, address and in some cases even proof of income when you try to withdraw a large amount of money .

857  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Quem você gostaria de conhecer pessoalmente? on: August 20, 2023, 06:48:03 PM

858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: August 19, 2023, 01:12:47 AM
I spoke to my nephew and he told me that he has never stolen from his mother to gamble. And he gambles with only his savings from his weekly stipend he receives from the family. And he won't gamble if he has no savings to do that. From my observation, he is a responsible gambler that is just enjoying the game and making a little money occasionally. The gambling age in my country is 18+, but his mother is insisting that he must stop. What will be your advice for this young boy?

It is a complicated subject, as it depends a lot on the discipline and education that the young person has received.
If the parents are communicative and the child is obedient, the best way is to teach the youngster the harm that games of chance can cause if they are played irresponsibly.
In addition, it is necessary to "awaken" in young people the need to direct part of the money they receive to something that is not related to gambling, either in some investment for the future or in another leisure activity that provides moments nice.

If it were a child, it would certainly be best to fully control the spending of money, but as we are already talking about an adult, it is necessary to think that he will be able to seek other "sources of income" to continue playing, so the best way is certainly dialogue.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 19, 2023, 12:54:59 AM
Not only the teams but also the fans themselves do not really like the game for third place. There is something illogical in the game for third place - two teams that have already lost continue to participate in the tournament (at least formally). In general, I am a supporter of modern formats that are used in eSports - for example, the double elimination system. If it were used, then there would be much less talk about the randomness of results in national team tournaments.

Despite being a, shall we say.... melancholic match, in fact third place is still something that needs to be decided in many championships and the FIFA World Cup is one of them.
I like the third place decisions as much as the finals, because they usually have more goals than the championship final itself. And look at this... who loses the final and takes second place still wins at least one medal, but who loses the decision for third place gets what? For this reason that the decision for third place is practiced with a lot of vigor and desire for victory, the disappointment of the previous defeat is always filled with the desire to conquer third place.

On the other hand, there are those who think the opposite, but also in a positive way.... believing that it is a more beautiful game because the skills are demonstrated more calmly, the nervousness of the players is less because there are "less things at stake", so both teams tend to play more openly, without worrying so much about losing.

Anyway... the third place needs to be disputed and the desire to win prevails for both teams.
