Was away for some time, nice to see the coin already added to exchanges.
Reading few pages back, the best strategy seems, to buy some and hodl, rather then trying to burn and loose them?

No. Whoever burns the most gets the PoB block. PoW is the same as on other coins.
So it's like an extra layer addition to PoW - one of the strategies is that you first mine these coins, then auto-burn them every block, getting a chance to win the PoB block. Not clear how it supposed to protect against ASIC's and GPU then - whoever does the most on PoW, has the top chance to win PoB as well.

If I have 50 TH/s and you have 1 TH/s I will on average get 50x the reward. Is that also a broken concept?
At the very least its BAD. Dev kept us in the dark, whitepaper in no way explains how PoB works. So to clarify, it's a pure gambling after all? With pure PoW one has % from total hash-rate chance of winning a block (roughly), while here one has to win the block and risk it all to get the PoB coins? If yes, then it basically means that OPEX might be never returned - thus no way to predict the ROI.

I did just hit a PoB Mined block for 60.96 SLM on the wallet with the screen shots that I've posted earlier.
Was burning through the remaining balance with 8 SLM left in balance, so I'm UP when it confirms !
What the burning strategy? Any difference between burning all immediately, or in portions?

How to check on Linux console, if any block was mined?
Also, any pools incoming?

How about S3coin, or better yet just S3. It is short, catchy, and has significance (3 S's'). The symbol can be S3 Alternative: S Cubed, but does not sound as good
Will collide with Amazon S3 service.

I am really sorry for any delay. I just want to emphasize again: It is simply really hard to estimate the needed time for developing software. A troublesome bug can take days to get fixed and cannot be forecasted. Besides, the reallife job sometimes causes much work (normally: milestone work in projects so there are times with less work and times with much work even for the evening/nights) and the daily life also must have a place to exist. So there are many factors which caused unexpected delays and hard-to-tell timelines. Many of you have told us to take the time we need and that it is ok, but there are also many people who cannot understand the delays over delays. I ask you for a bit more patience - and we won't launch with a partially buggy client - thank you ;-) Also, yes, it is right, we could have made more marketing so far. We do not have the manpower to do it properly, but we will have more time for that after 0.6 is out. It is early enough to create more buzz around exo after everything is launched. And: any article about eXocoin (well - positive ones are preferred) help to increase the attention of eXocoin. Many celebs use negative buzz to increase attention successfully What about a bounty for a new web-site? The current version (obviously self-made) has served it's purpose well enough for the IPO, and it will be great to freshen it up towards the official launch.

This is a trading thread and OTC exchange for Slimcoin, a new crypto-currency with innovative Proof-Of-Burn coins generation. Slimcoin burn mining is truly ASIC-proof. The main point of Proof-of-Burn is that "superior and faster mining hardware offers no advantage". It does not focus on proof-of-work that much. It uses a new method of coin generation called proof-of-burn. Long story short, competitive mining can be done with a Raspberry Pi (super-low-power computer). Post bids and offers here and I will collect them into this first post. Important: If you wish to modify or cancel your order, please do not edit your post. Make a new post, quoting the first. Otherwise I may not see the edit and update the order book in the first post correctly. Partial fills are allowed by default. If you do not want partial fills, please specify that your order is all-or-none (AON). Orders must be done peer-to-peer. If you try to fill an order and the counterparty does not honor the order or reply within 24 hours, post on the thread and the order will be removed. price (satoshi) / Slimcoin / btc / trader {membership level, click for trust} (Conditions) Bids (to buy)210 / 100000 slim / 0.21 / cawson { Mbr. } 212 / 100000 slim / 0.212 / bahatassafus {Jr.} 213 / 100000 slim / 0.213 / djinou94 {Full} 220 / 100000 slim / 0.22 / SyRenity {Sr.} 225 / 100000 slim / 0.225 / AltcoinBull 250 / 50000 slim / 0.125 / atleticofa {Full} Offers (to sell)Reported Trades (BTT)( red=sell, green=buy)

I assume we cannot buy them yet, but correct me if I'm wrong. You cannot buy them yet, we have to get Slimcoin on an exchange first. As there are probably more people like me who unable to mine them, let's open a trading thread, Monero style: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578192.0

Still have problems running on a Debian machine, can you please static link the libs?
Thanks.

Note, the app tries to access the clipboard, not sure if normal or not.

PoW can still be mined through cloud mining, etc. What is different here is that PoW is given less importance. PoB is given more importance in this coin. PoB is cloud mining/not net mining resistant since it has no use for them and having them offers no benefits.
Can you please clarify this? Say I have PoW mined X coins using bot-net, then I started PoB them (on same botnet) - surely the chances of getting good hashes are higher if I distribute it over thousands of nodes?

This might have been asked already, but what about bot networks and cloud mining? Is / how this new crypto protects against them?
