841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if...Satoshi Nakamoto suddenly burns 1 million bitcoins? on: September 28, 2016, 08:59:58 PM
If I assume that Satoshi Nakamoto has 1 million bitcoins and he sends them to an address that has no known private key, I think that bitcoin's price in general rises because there is less value of bitcoin in Satoshi Nakamoto's hands so the value of the bitcoin I have is higher and I could ask for a bigger price for it.

I was helping a friend and his wish included a software that was being sold on bitcointalk. So, I registered to buy that software and later I read about bitcoin on this forum and I became interested in it and the discussion where I participated in kept my interest for a long-term relationship Smiley
843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: September 26, 2016, 06:46:20 PM
Bitcoin can be and is widely used as money. However, bitcoin is different than physical money in nature. For most people, we have yet to explain what gives bitcoin its value. In addition, we have yet to have them accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is not only money, though. Bitcoin is an investment, too, in itself.
844  Other / Off-topic / Re: What you do with BITCOIN ? on: September 26, 2016, 06:42:47 PM
I use bitcoin to put my investment into it and to send anonim transactions.

I spend it on web sites or in private / personal deals.

I do not usually "sell" my bitcoins, but sometimes I exchange it to altcoin.

I do not usually "buy" bitcoins, but earn it from services, but when I do, I buy it from exchanges.

845  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: passphrase.io - zero knowledge privacy notepad - NEW SECURITY ENHANCEMENTS on: September 23, 2016, 04:37:58 PM
The problem is JavaScript using in the Web browser. If you do not use Java, then you can not use notepad. For security reasons it is much better not to use Java.  Grin

I advise us not to confuse JavaScript with Java, though. Java was removed from browsers a very long time ago while JavaScript is still widely used in stable projects. Unless you know what you are doing, disabling JavaScript is advised, but the nature of the JavaScript that web sites use is that the script runs on client side so it is possible to white-box analyze it in a secure environment and if you find it safe, you may enable JavaScript for that site. Using JavaScript is not a Devil's tool nowadays!
846  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: September 23, 2016, 04:24:57 PM
Yes, it is possible to earn a living with bitcoin, but I do not suggest living just from bitcoin. For me, my life is the most important and I would not put it on the price of bitcoin, but I have very good experience with blockchain because I actually manage to earn a living amount of income from bitcoin and more from blockchain technology related development.
You can live in bitcoin if you skilled but if not you cannot live in bitcoin or if you have a good 2 s9 miner you can earn in lazy ways depends how much your electricity bill cost per kwh..
For its still good to collect bitcoin as extra or hobby to have saving that you can use for a long time.

And it is not only about the coin's price, but the blockchain and the technology that you could build with the blockchain. You could build innovative projects that uses blockchain to run innovative features as super computing, P2P lending and extended discussion boards. Since I have never seen the mentioned features in work yet, I think they are kinda risky, but certainly you could be the #1 in them and as #1 in something, earn a great amount of income.
Inovation is something we do like, but related to bitcoin i do believe the best options to make or get a great income has been made, being the exchanges and casinos the places where the most people do invest, besides that its just pennies. To get a good income now you need to invest or make your own coin and offer something people may use, soo your coin can get value and investment.

I know people who live from altcoin development, but forking a blockchain may not be enough to attract investors. You have to program some really good features, too. So, you could create a new platform with blockchain technology and live from the development of that platform.

849  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why do you need to download 7 years of chain block on: September 22, 2016, 06:55:03 PM
I think, if you can download 7 years of chain block, you should do it to support the the decentralized system. Do not fall into the trap of collective irresponsibility! Well, if you cannot download that much data, you still could use the client and do transactions or find an alternative, lightweight client. In the long term, we are advised to find a solution for the big data problem in-before bitcoin network starts a centralization pattern.
850  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: if blockchain can be applied in other areas, what are the incentives??? on: September 21, 2016, 08:00:34 PM
"Other" than what? I have not seen any high quality (!) financial platform that, for example, would have a stable feature for P2P lending. I can think of one at the moment, but to be honest, it still is under development so I cannot know how many others will implement the idea. So, P2P lending is a feature I yet want to see in work.
851  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows 10 Integrated Bash/Ubuntu on: September 21, 2016, 07:56:22 PM
I just caught it from the corner of my eye on the internet the other day, but apparently Linux is bringing some Windows like features into the next build, will have to look it up.

As far as I know, the Bash implementation was not only a working solution, but pretty neat too.

When I write 'pretty neat', I am thinking of speed and stability factors.

According to these factors, the developers have done a very good job.

What is your opinion on this experience? Can you confirm or argue with it?
852  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen Output Address File Reader/Searcher/Aggregator Script on: September 20, 2016, 06:16:38 PM
@digicoinuser, I have just read that Windows 10 integrated Bash that supports every feature that an Ubuntu's Bash supports. I do not wonder this fact much because it integrated Ubuntu, too lol. So, you may find the following discussion helpful WINDOWS 10 HAS NOW BASH. Your script should work fine on Windows 10 without additional dependencies from now on  Wink Also, you may use more advanced features on a Windows server, too, from now on.
853  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Windows 10 Integrated Bash/Ubuntu on: September 20, 2016, 06:11:38 PM
I remember that someone asked for this feature some days ( weeks ? ) ago. In that time, I suggested installing a Bash port for Windows as I, too, have done in the past. The problem was that I was not sure whether the Bash port that I suggested had all features that the person whom I helped to needed. So, I could just give a tip at maximum. Now, I know that Windows 10 integrated a full-feature Bash so maybe I will return to update some of my older suggestion. Thank you for informing us about this new possibility!
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Running a exchange is a very active job on: September 19, 2016, 06:35:51 PM
I know that is it a very active job. As a matter of fact, starting up an exchange necessitates alot of work, especially much test. By time and with the help of scripts, you can automate a lot of jobs and hire more people but further development will take much work too and you cannot just automate the whole development.

I have received my payment, thank you! I received it right in time. I am not very happy because of the recent negative-direction changes in the payment rates, though. But I will be able to deal with it, I guess. Thank you for my first payment! I appreciate it.
856  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Running 50+ Altcoin daemons + Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2016, 06:43:41 PM
You surely will need more than one server if you want to host such an enormous project. Putting aside the hardware power that it would need, you cannot host a financial system from one server for security reasons. You need at least three dedicated servers to do that.
857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The safest wallet? on: September 15, 2016, 06:40:31 PM
You always should consider the local threats and actual vulnerabilities of the storage material. Hardware may be very vulnerable even to a drop of water while a piece of paper could easily burn or rot. You could look around the collectibles within the forum. Some of them were designed to be very protective like the Keyois Capsule.
858  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen Output Address File Reader/Searcher/Aggregator Script on: September 14, 2016, 06:27:58 PM
I could use it in a vanity address scraper as a part script, I guess. I will be able to test it on Linux soon since I am working on setting up a new Linux based web server. But as far as I remember, there is Bash for Windows too, just not by default. You can download it from the internet.

Very nice and I wasn't aware of that.  Is it only for Windows 10?

There are more than one Bash ports for Windows. I was using win-bash in the past. It is also on SourceForge. You can install it onto Microsoft Windows NT based systems. I have not tested whether it covers everything what you need, but it is the most complete Bash port for Windows that I have used so far and since it has GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2), it should not be too complicated to issue new tickets with your requests.
859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to alt coin trading, Help on: September 14, 2016, 06:20:02 PM
Try to select only those altcoins which will have reliable and known developers and will have a good number of investment and will have a good volume of trade.

Yeah these features are most affecting the value of any altcoin, coins with that features will have good potential to increase in value in the future so any person who will have investment in that coin will not be disappointed and will earn a good profit in the future when the value will increase.

You do not know beforehand how much money people will invest into the altcoin, do you? Transparency truly is an important feature to determine a coin's reliability, but even when everything seem cool, there is risk so you are still advised to be cautious and keep your eyes on the development progress and check that it actually is progress, not simple forking.
860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to alt coin trading, Help on: September 13, 2016, 07:12:40 PM
Do you have any places where we can see almost new exchange sites so that i can collect their trial coins to try their service?

If my news are actual, people at TuxExchange still give coins to newcomers. You can find them on Bitcointalk forum so I am not copying their current offers. This is their forum thread where you could find everything https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1541333.0 Good luck!
