The Belacam idea is a good one. Plenty of ppl buying into it. I am struggling to see where the input revenues come from to sustain any longer term growth.
The best way for us to monetize Belacam is through advertisers. We envision a model where an advertiser's ad shows up in your feed, and you have the opportunity to interact with it. If you do, you will get Belacoin in return. For example, Company A may have you play a quick 30-second game that reinforces their brand. Since you are interacting with the ad, you are much more likely to become a converting customer versus a user on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter who simply sees sponsored content and scrolls past it. After the interactive ad is over, the user might earn 1 Belacoin paid for from the advertiser, and we would take a 5-15% cut of that. We also are very focused on creating an atmosphere where users feel that they have to give Belacoin to earn Belacoin. This might be promoted by having high-giving users show up higher on the list of people who have 'liked' a photo. Also, there is significant white space on either side of the post feed on Belacam. During alpha testing, we plan to add a segment that will showcase the most popular tags of the day as well as the users who gave the most Belacoin (assuming they opt in to this feature). That way, they are much more likely to get noticed, followed, and given Belacoin back. Honestly, you guys deserve all the profit coming to you. This is a well orchestrated and dedicated scam. Today at our meeting, we got to see another live demonstration of Belacam. There's still work to be done, but it is moving well. Comments were streamlines, and once they receive a little bit of design improvements, the main feed of Belacam will nearly be complete. Once we have the main feed finished, we will release a screenshot.
Also, GIFs were integrated into Belacam. Users can post GIFs and they will display just in a moving fashion. Allowing users to post GIFs gives them the ability to post higher quality media, increasing the likes and Belacoin that they will receive as a result.
The next things that will be worked on are the messaging system (direct messages) and improving the user's profile page. The upload page will also be streamlined to allow for drag-and-drop uploads. This simplifies the process of posting content for Belacam users on the computer.

We know a lot of you will be watching Belacoin on its third birthday on January 29th, so we would like to explain our plan for the day. As we've said before, we will be revealing and showcasing the three businesses that won $500 each from the http://Belacoin.org/invest initiative and will be using that money to launch and integrate Belacoin. These businesses are in varying stages of completion, so we should get to watch them all roll out over the month of February. This is significant because January 29th then marks the start of Belacoin integration into these businesses. We have learned that releasing significant news all at once can cause an undesired dump in the price, so we are trying something new this time. We will showcase each of the three businesses at separate times. For example (these times are not decided, this is only an example for better understanding), the first business might be revealed at noon, the second at 4pm, and the third at 8pm. That way, traders are incentivized to not immediately sell their coins after the first release since there are more reveals coming. This should create a day filled with anticipation, excitement, and learning as the community is introduced to three new leaders in the Belacoin community. Just as Coinbase is influential in shaping the Bitcoin community, our intention is that each of the three businesses will form their own spheres of influence in the Belacoin community. Also, we believe that these releases will incentivize investors to buy and hold Belacoin on a long-term basis. This should have a positive effect on the price. The reasoning is that since these businesses are being revealed on January 29th but will not officially launch until different times in the next few weeks, the real event is still on the horizon. It will be exciting to watch these businesses grow. They are not under our control, but they all are receiving guidance and assistance in areas where we can offer it. If this initiative is successful, we will consider having another round of funding in order to attract more businesses and entrepreneurs to Belacoin's blockchain.
