OMG! I made 3.7BTC profit on Maza, it's in my wallet, where do you think it came from? Really, if this is your understanding of economics and markets, you shouldn't be here. I'm not cool and I'm not "tuff"..... I do use a calculator though. Buys and sells like he's at a casino. This is why Bitcoin still has trouble gaining traction in the mainstream. Far too many gamblers and few too many investors. I have proudly never sold any virtual currency - EVER. I'm waiting for the day we're free of banks and I can use them for goods. . . .So long as gamblers continue to plague this movement we can expect more centralization, tyranny and violence. But congrats on what you think is a profit, have you converted into something real yet I hope? Otherwise it remains a number on a screen. I bought MZC at 500 and I'll gladly ride it right back down there. I believe in it, this is a good focus for a coin, this can help people. It's not always gambling, sometimes it's a certainty, like Maza was. Oh, by the way everyone, the whales are long gone, there is no money in Maza to interest them. |

Ok guys, this is how I see, it, I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that this viewpoint worked for me: The initial, massive rise was solely because of press articles and the earlier rise of AUR. It is obvious to anyone who's spent time trading that this rise could not be sustained and nor could the press coverage. So, I saw this rise starting and I looked at the coin and people behind it. To me, it seemed that a lot of the claims couldn't be substantiated, all that "sovereign currency" bullshit, and Payu struck me as a little dodgy (just a feeling really, although I did find others who thought the same) I then looked into the Lakota people, short and tall of it is they have no money and no real autonomy. Finally I did the maths, the "airdrop" could only crash the price, it's the only possible conclusion. Soi my conclusion was that this was a crazy spike that couldn't be sustained in any way at all and that the fall would be dramatic. Given that, I invested 1.5BTC in Maza and had sold it all within 24hrs for a 200%+ profit. Basically, I trusted nothing unless I could verify it for my self. I actually sent an email to the Penington Sheriff's Dept asking for info.... never got a response - hate the feds. Go and look at MAX or EAC for what happens when things like this happen, it's not getting better. Can it be repaired? Maybe, but it's an uphill struggle. You need to widen the coins base, maybe all native americans, not just Lakota - 55,000 people is just not enough to justify the huge price. Devs need to be more approachable and pro-active, maybe replaced. Block reward is a problem., so is giving coins to people who don't know what they are, better to build a kiddy playground for them out of Maza rather than give them maza, maybe persuade a playground equipment manufacturer to accept payment in Maza (they will get publicity for it) Get more publicity, but it MUST BE HONEST publicity, stop using semantics to justify a mis-truth. It'll be slow, it won't make you rich overnight, but it stands as much chance as any other coin if the work is put into it. Having done that, the moment it hits a price you are happy with, SELL!............... only kidding..... well, half kidding........ good luck guys.  |

As to the naysayers and haters.
I don't think they're here to push down price, not worth the bother and I don't think its effective. I also don't think they're here out of spite, no one would hang on that long after they cut their loss and ran. So what does that leave? Bitcoiners worried about the rise of national currencies, maybe, but they've got their own things to worry about and should by now expect that alts will succeed as BTC succeeds - there will be no bitcoin only future. So maybe Fudsters are from the gov? I don't think so, they would be much more concerned with Bitcoin right now to bother.
What does that leave? Racism. Now I'm not accusing those who are here for legit conversation, I can be critical too, but I'm referring to the people that just won't give up saying the same things over and over with a very negative attitude. The old thread definitely had some racist comments earlier on, but they died down after it was evident how ineffective that is for rallying support. I believe the ones who really can't leave it alone and seem to be here despite no stake in the coin are here because they see the potential in this coin and will do whatever necessary to fight it out of hatred. Prove me wrong, explain what the motivation could possible be.
Whatever the scope of this thread and the last. I promise you day traders and fudsters are not here to save you money. Figure out why they're here for yourself.

The reason I kept posting is because many of you who put money into Maza are unlikely to invest in anything else again and a conman was trying to get rich - I was also, to be honest, fascinated with watching the car crash. You are right, I am a day trader and I am here to take your money off you, but there will be no-one to take money from if crypto gets a reputation for out and out conmen. Please guys, be more careful next time - trust no-one, this is a game. |

LOL! Some of you guys are sooooo funnny! You all forgotten how btc even went from 102 down to 2 dollars? And how many people are their now that panic sold at 2 dollar and are still smashing their heads because they bought at at 0.02 or so! Sometimes reasons for a drop are so dam logic. And if you keep focusing on the short term rather then the long term. You will panic sell and lose. If mazacoin gets to the top of coinwarz and its the nr 1 profitable coin to mine.. Litecoin went all the way down to 4 dollars from 48 dollars. Check fontas his twitter. HE said that their was a second big pump planned but they put it on hold untill their was a lakota verification. Bitcoin is down to 600 and some bought at 1200. I have laughed at noobs in the trollbox of btc e because they bought at around 1200 and sold at 400 when we hit it. Bitcoin will hit 2k. Its still so early. More and more are accepting it. You just need time. Bitcoin diddnt go from a few satoshis to 100 dollar over a few weeks time either. So STOP THE FCKING PANIC SELLING. Just hold and if you are smart like me when you bought at 0.1 BUY more! For just 200 dollar I can buy 20k while I have 9k bought with 800 dollars. So I am going to buy more and I will NOT watch this price everyday. I don't give a shit if it drops. Long term this will hit a dollar. And this year it WIL hit 0.50. And when that happens. Me and Tomi will laugh at all you panic sellers who only care about short term profits. And this coin will be a huge succes longterm for lakota as well. As soon as merchants accept it. And I don't know about you guys. But I don't really know any other devs or people who started a coin that get into the media as much as payu does Your maths is flawed, why are you measuring against dollars when you should be comparing to BTC. The $ price of Maza depends almost exclusively on the BTC price. |

Are there any plans to sell some of the pre-mine at launch of an exchange or are you going to rely on the coins mined so far to determine market value by the miners selling them?
I asked a related question on the sub-reddit but still waiting for a reply there so might post it here too. My understanding is most of the pre-mine goes towards this investment pool used for trading. Do you need to sell AIR for BTC from this pool to fund the trading or will there be AIR trading pairs established by the exchanges or will there be some initial seed funding used for early trading?
The AIR will be converted to BTC or LTC (depending on available markets) to trade this investment pool, and then converted back to AIR when the pool grows, to raise the exchange rate or to counteract dumps. This is the primary way we stabilize the exchange rate. The pool allows us to leverage gains with this large volume. A 1% gain on a pool of 50,000 AIR equivalent allows us to counteract a 10% price fall in a market depth of 5,000 AIR, for example. You presumably need to convert a significant percentage of the AIR into BTC at the very start to enable your trading - how are you going to be able to make your initial BTC/LTC trades without crashing the price? EDIT: Is this what the preparation and discussions were about with the exchanges, arranging to have your funds available on the exchange before anyone else? |

Accountant warrior..  Come on relax, it's just a crypto coin. It very well might evolve if u let it breath a bit.. I am just saying that some peoples expectations are WAY too high. NOTHING with these cryptos are certain. The entire expedition is an adventure (bitcoins get lost, banks refuse co-operation etc..) If you want to play safe invest into gold, its bulleting right now. If you are ready to fight - stay with Maza and the other cryptos. - Tomi He doesn't need to be a good accountant to say where the $1000 went - he just needs to be open and transparent. You're right though, nothing is certain in crypto - that's why these questions need to be asked, to improve certainty. |

This is one of the reasons we are still testing on Poloniex, and not launching immediately. I'm really suggesting that an exchange that has just been hacked is going to be in some turmoil and have a lot on their plate. Busoni seems very honest and personable, but he may be out of his depth. |
