861  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need help to make a payment on: February 04, 2021, 07:19:23 PM
You didn’t mention for what you are going to pay. That would be good as someone certainly wouldn’t like to pay fee of something risky. Just give a hint.
Why don't you move this service section? That would fit the purpose more.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: etherscan vs ethgasstation vs realtime on: February 04, 2021, 07:15:09 PM
Both have almost same or close output because almost all the times, such gas price observation and the prediction comes from the fee used in previous block and the current pending txs. There's nothing wrong with their speculation.
863  Other / Meta / Re: How can I check traffic on this forum on: February 04, 2021, 06:22:46 PM

What is the reason for this lapse? I think it would be interesting to compare these statistics with the current ones, in order to see at which point of the bull market we are, compared to the one from late '17, at least in terms of activity in the forum.
There are many unofficial data analysis with different time range have been done by community members. You just have to check the threads. I can't remember who used to do such data analysis and compare with different time. I guess it was tranthidung.
864  Economy / Reputation / Re: legendster Unfair Neg trust given based on a having a bad day and disliking me on: February 04, 2021, 06:10:13 PM

Yobit being a Ponzi is a matter of perception. Ponzi scams offer you "guaranteed returns" Yobit releases coins that act rather like a game or gambling. You are made aware of how everything works unlike in a ponzi which you are lied to about. That "10% per day" was 10% tokens per day, not fiat value. Just because you have 10% more coins doesn't mean you have now gained 10 profit. It could also be argued that users wearing mixer signatures are also supporting something that could be considered criminal. I have never had issues with yobit. I know some people have but we don't know their exact circumstances and all exchanges have bad things written about them. Even a very good exchange will have someone that doesn't like something or another.
Do you know how a PUMP & DUMP group make money? Dumping the coin on the noobs face. Don't you think it’s kind of scam strategy too? I don't know what would be your perspective here but I can't even see any difference between such a PUMP & DUMP group and YOBIT. They both are same, they both have the same goal & strategy; scamming money of the noob crypto investor by making them fool.
865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you believe this? on: February 03, 2021, 06:46:59 PM
Many people had speculated it as a bubble only and later they had invested in BTC. Nevertheless, you are not forced ro believe what I have said or what others have. All the information is available in the internet. Check out why bitcoin is here to stay. The only point I would like to remind you; bitcoin is a p2p currency which requires no third party to trust.
866  Other / Meta / Re: Should all scam busting techniques be made public? on: February 03, 2021, 06:19:16 PM
We have an investigations board, and that one is not publicly available for JR. Members and lower ranks. Maybe scam investigations could walk down a similar path.
A newbie here who start the forum journey to earn, starts with bounty. Others are either real users who have no interest in signature campaign (later they may take the advantage of) or alt accounts hiding their negative feedback, evading ban. So, it doesn’t matter if you are using that boards. Alt will have access to that board as well.

Have you tried to reach him with other channel? I guess he is active in telegram; IIRC, I have seen him in the Indian Bitcointalk Community in telegram. That was long ago though.
I believe that this feedback isn’t a valid one. If you can reach him, he will remove it as this is not the correct use od the system.
868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can't such a school or online class be arranged from this forum? on: January 25, 2021, 04:50:17 PM
Have you ever been in a forum where there’s online classes for the new users?
Anyway, steamtyme have created 3 videos for welcoming the new members; I believe you will find them very much helpful- Newbie welcome video
869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good exchange for altcoins on: January 24, 2021, 06:53:01 PM
Binance and Kucoin are simply best for cryptocurrency trading, Kucoin have 5 BTC withdrawal limit per day without KYC.

Is Uniswap to be considered safe? I see it in few alts.
It’s safe and better as it’s not centralize exchange but there are risks too. If you check some projects in CMC, you may see a notice liquidity can be stopped.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: does the block chain go back to the very first BTC ? on: January 24, 2021, 06:31:45 PM
You can find out the first ever transaction, sending and receiving address but to find out the man behind the tx (sender and receiver), they must have used centralize services with bitcoin from their known addresses. Otherwise, it’s very unlikely to happen.
To find out the tx from the beginning, check with block number.
871  Other / Meta / Re: Pining useful thread on: January 24, 2021, 06:21:09 PM
For each board, you have to create a hub thread to link them all. Who is creating such threads? If you are interested, you are free to create one thread for any single sub board and ask for petition to the thread sticky. If admin once does, you can go for other boards as well.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else still regret not buying Bitcoin in 2011? on: January 23, 2021, 06:22:40 PM
There are some memes we often see who used to have fun out of BTC back in the day when there was ceratin drop but eventually they regret it. One of them is @Gregschoen who sold 1700 bitcoin for $0.30 each and regret later when it was $8 each.
I was more or less active on the internet in 2011 but never heard the term Bitcoin at all. Otherwise, I would have regret as well  Cheesy
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Flare network is getting a Spark token airdrop to LTC holders. on: January 23, 2021, 06:02:07 PM
How to claim them? I'm holding some LTC in the electrum wallet. Can I use this to claim the airdrop?
What did it mean by integration with Ethereum? Is spark a kind of parachain like available in the Polkadot platform? What's the benefit are we supposed to get? Please share me some links if anyone have.
874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thoughts on future Bitcoin supply on: January 23, 2021, 04:58:29 PM
Let me give an example of the wallet that am using.
The wallet that am using right now is : Zebpay and there few months before the wallet added Nominee
It's the same as a bank; a centralized custodial wallet which I doubt most of the users would use. If you are a little concerned about bitcoin, you should never use a custodial wallet. For your info, I'm certainly not talking about such wallet; they can be accessed anytime if anyone have enough proof. On the other hand, wallet like bitcoin core have the private key or the wallet file itself can be encrypted with a password which may no one know. Or a paper wallet hidden in a very secret place or an electrum wallet which seed is known to the owner only.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin halal? on: January 23, 2021, 04:31:25 PM
The issue of stock has been resolved for a long time. The Shariah Commission publishes listings of companies to invest in.
Write a request to google "halal stock".
Yeah, stock of companies that deal with interest, alcohol, or other harams, are haram as well while investing in other stocks have no issue. Then why would Bitcoin be haram? Does bitcoin deal with interest? No. It's just another currency; people may use it for any purpose, same goes with fiat as well.
876  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Avatar for Rent [first 🦊YEAR🦊 (96 weeks) rented out] on: January 23, 2021, 04:22:19 PM

877  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 23, 2021, 04:06:09 PM
I am can recall correctly one of the tread of BitDice were locked for some reason, not the reason we are talking here obviously.
It was probably for incentivizing/encouraging their signature campaigners to post on their ANN thread. I can't remember exactly; was it BitDice?

Quote
Few users are talking about the red warning. I get it - but I am pretty much sure from my experience that when you are in an unknown forum, never heard of it before then you will not realize how much weight those warnings will have in your mind.
If you are talking about the users who are very unknown to this website, would it bring any benefit? I guess no.
However, a decentralized voting system from DT members to unlock such a thread would be great; the forum won't directly be involved with moderating scams but a voting system would automatically lock the thread. That can be manipulated too but I doubt such DT members would remain DT for long.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Random thoughts on future Bitcoin supply on: January 23, 2021, 03:41:21 PM
What will happen to my bitcoin after I die? This is the question that comes to my head while I was thinking about my future, wealth, etc.
I don't hold lots of bitcoin; there are people who own thousands of bitcoin. What if they die suddenly without sharing anyone about their wealth? We have lost lots of bitcoin already from the circulation but after a decade or two, I guess the number of lost bitcoin will be huge. The supply of bitcoin is limited by nature. With the lost bitcoin, it's getting more scarce. At some point, after few decades, the supply will huge limited.
What effect do you think will it have on bitcoin? Certainly, you may think that price will be higher. Well, it will certainly but will it anymore be usable? With very much limited supply, won't it create disruption? Or, it will be as precious as diamond; I mean very much rare.
879  Other / Meta / Re: How about locking some ANN threads that are from proven scammers? on: January 22, 2021, 06:01:51 PM
Forum doesn't moderate scam. If the threads are locked by the forum, indirectly it will be moderating scam which I guess would be against the regular practice of the forum. If I'm correct, the OP has been tagged and user trying to join a site should do their homework; otherwise, learn a lesson. If they don't do the homework before joining an unknown site, they must be the people who search on google for best sites and join them; you can never prevent them from getting trapped.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin halal? on: January 22, 2021, 05:58:11 PM
You are taking risk when you are investing in BTC; what's the wrong or arguement there? Did anyone say it's not Halal? If they do, what about stock? That certainly can't be Haram.

It is purchased for Gambling or Speculations, and used in illegal or unlawful transactions”.
Have you ever been forced by anyone to buy bitcoin and gamble with that? Well, I can use BTC to buy a tshirt; I can use fiat as well to buy a tshirt. Did it make any sense to you?
