Nope, I have full android (jellybean) and that stores EVERYTHING the apps produces on command. It can store the app along with the associated data.

Yeah but this requires root, and a root user would know the risks of producing such backups. What app are you talking about right now?

Also, there are many ways that someone could have gone on his phone and posted something, who said anythng about a public place? Maybe it was a friend or someone living in his house just posting something random when they got bored?

What kind of "friend" would go to your phone, and start using it? Also i doubt that he had his screen on without a screen lock. Also it does not really matter, since i think that the point of this thread was to discuss technical details rather than  discussing people who could possibly access the phone.

By "hacking" I mean more a a brute force attempt, there are parts of the phone that can be taken over from the web client of play.google.com. If these were ammended by a little programming then a pasword for a bitcointalk account can be gathered, obviously this is unlikely as they'd change the email address and password after logging in.

You cannot bruteforce a google account, because after few invalid tries it does ask you for captcha, so that makes no sense. Would you care to actually define the technical details of the attack  you are meaning, and there are no any tools that actually can solve recaptchas as far as i know.
862  Other / Meta / Re: Account comrpomised? on: September 14, 2017, 09:11:38 PM
That couldbe it. If your phone was left unattended anywhere then someone could have posted something (especially if the app was already opened).
Else, if it's an Android phone and your google has a fairly week password then that can also be fairly easily hacked (or if a backup of your phone is stored online somewhere with a weak password).

What? How does phone being unattended for few moments relate to someone posting as him? Im pretty sure he did not leave the phone unattended on public place, so that comment makes no sense at all Roll Eyes
Also he just said that he has a strong password, and google do not really get any public data breaches at least so what do you mean by "hacking"? Also only nandroid backups store such information, as far as i know, so how is a backup online related to this?

How would they get access to bitcointalk account from google hack though if that was the case?

Google has not had a single public data breach recently, so there's no way that the bitcoin password has leaked via that way. However there was a Spambot leak recently, which might have caused your password to leak, if you used same password on any of the leaks.
863  Other / Meta / Re: Account comrpomised? on: September 14, 2017, 07:39:20 PM
I just checked your trust page and it says "This user changed his/her password recently.", which means that most likely it is compromised.
Change your password IMMEDIATELY if you can, as well as if you do not have a staked address yet, stake one now. If somehow you get logged out of your account, make a new account, and post over at Meta asking that your account gets tagged, and prove your ownership with signed message so no one gets screwed over because of the stolen account.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need your help! wallet.dat on: September 14, 2017, 12:05:43 PM
Hey OP! You will need to install bitcoin core to export private keys, then litecoin core as well as the dash-qt.
The procedure will be following for all of the coins, as far as i know.

First of all, install the client for each one. Then pick up the wallet file, and copy them to following places for each coin:

Bitcoin:
Code:
%appdata%/bitcoin

Litecoin:
Code:
%appdata%/litecoin

Dash:
Code:
%appdata%/dash

After you have copied the wallet.dat files into the folders, you must then export the private keys:
You will need to check from block explorer which addresses have balance, and then export those addresses private keys.
Open the bitcoincore for example, press help -> Debug window, and then write:
Code:
walletpassphrase yourpassword 9999

Then on the same window we must dump private keys:
Code:
dumpprivkey "address"

Enter the address without quotes, and then press enter, and you should get your private key. Save it onto a place where you can easily find it.

Then we must get electrum wallets to send the funds to any places without actually needing to sync the whole chain.
We need Electrum BTC, Electrum LTC, and Electrum DASH.

The import process goes the following way:

When you install the electrum  programs, and open them, they ask you to create a new wallet. The options are the following:

Standard wallet -> Use public or private keys, and then you paste the private key there.
The process should be pretty much the same for every currency, feel free to ask if you have any more questions. I tried to write this as detailed as possible.

Edit: I just tested electrum dash, apperantly the options are little bit different. On first screen you must choose standard wallet and restore wallet and import keys.
865  Economy / Reputation / Re: hashforce101 - My suspicions about being bought account on: September 14, 2017, 10:27:52 AM
What's with the recent influx of people buying accounts, and trying to become campaign managers? Wasn't there another guy called wizardee trying to pull off the same thing?

Yep, and he even personally admitted it being a bought account (although deleted the reply, but it got archived and i cannot find it).

Nobody with a bought account should even be allowed to be campaign managers, in my opinion. If they were accepted as campaign managers, then think about what could happen. He could literally let all other account farmers enroll and don't give a crap, or even potentially allow his alts to enroll and post with terrible quality. I think that they deserve to get tagged.

I do not think that anyone who has a bought account should even be allowed to post on this forum, this encourages account farming and like you said, terrible post quality, since most campaign managers do not care about their participants replying to every thread with something like "me like. bounty dev?" and they get paid for that post. There should be some kind of standard for quality posts that applies forumwide to those who enroll in campaigns.

I'm not a long time member, but I'm definitely not a new one. I had an account on blockchain.info which had all my old private keys, but when I changed laptops, it didn't save my wallet ID and my written recovery slip was hidden somewhere (I still haven't managed to find it).

This can be fairly dangerous, and should be avoided because not being able to provide a signed message is shady. However i guess that you still did have the same kind of grammar and post quality still, even though you lost the private keys.

You don't have to explicitly offer escrow services. He is trying to (quote from OP) "whom started offering project managing services lately." which can often end up being a bundle of holding campaign funds and managing it.

Exactly. Since we should be able to assume that most legendary members are the original members behind the accounts, instead of someone who just bought the account and is about to use it for scamming.
866  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] [CARTAXI SPECIAL SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN] on: September 14, 2017, 08:58:01 AM
Usually campaigns pay max 0.035BTC per week, and on average around 0.02BTC and around 0.0006BTC-0.0008BTC per post. Why are you not hiring a escrow or a campaign manager that manages the funds, since you are fairly new and i do not think that your company has much reputation, because i have not heard of it. Hiring someone to manage your campaign, like yahoo, lutpin, decoded etc. would be also worth it for you as well, because you would help to avoid the spam on the forums. Also i think you should reduce your rates for full member accounts, because there are so many farmed of them wandering around.
867  Economy / Reputation / Re: hashforce101 - My suspicions about being bought account on: September 13, 2017, 10:28:00 AM
Looking the grammar change, as well as the posting gaps between late 2016 and mid 2017 it does look like that it is either a bought or hacked account. I wonder if we can find a confirmed password/email change in the seclog. I'll try finding that *archived* variant. If he outright ignores or refuses to provide a signed message without a decent reason, then his account is ripe for tagging in my eyes.

This is the reply i got from him, did not get any reply before making this thread:

To me it looks suspicious as well, i do not think that for a long time bitcointalk member, it would be possible to lose the addresses he used to sign messages with in the past.
868  Economy / Reputation / hashforce101 - My suspicions about being bought account on: September 13, 2017, 07:15:44 AM
I stepped lately to hashforce 101, whom started offering project managing services lately.
I tried reaching him out yesterday about this matter, but he has not  answered to me at all even though he has been online many times. I requested him for signed message politely, but never got answer.
If you check the posts between july and august, you can see that the grammar has changed alot in few days.
About the grammar, if you check the posts after august, and then you check the posts before july, you can see that the grammar has went from many typos into almost a fluent grammar, which i find very suspicious.
And after the change of grammar, almost instantly he started to offer campaign management services, which i find kind of odd.
869  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nexchange.io Developers trying insult to respected Members pls stop it. on: September 12, 2017, 09:52:45 PM
Of my opinion, yahoo is the worst campaign manger, who always late with payment. He love alcohol too much (he is alcoholic) and do not care about company he manages.

Sorry of my English (I am Spanish).

Proof: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2144594.msg21706267#msg21706267

Sorry all, went out with some friends last night and got trashed. Just now waking up and feeling like shit. Gonna start grading the campaign and paying out soon. Sorry for the delay

We must giving new campaign managers the chance!

So what you are saying is, that yahoo has no right to go out and relax at some point?
Give the man a break, since he is doing a good job about managing his campaigns.
Most of the campaign managers have some things to do, and that is why they can be delayed sometimes, and at least he was being honest about it rather than trying to hide it.
I suggest you try campaign managing one day and see how often you will get trashed  Wink
870  Economy / Services / Re: Need Escrow Serivce provider from forum on regular basis on: September 12, 2017, 06:12:16 PM
Hi All,

The strange thing for me is none of you are having any trust not even +1 , so not sure how to proceed further .

I would still be seeking some more options ?

Thank you for your offers

That means that we have not got any trust that is on your trust circle nor on default trust, if you click trust, you can see all of the trust score.
I have few completed trades already on the forum, as well as numerous non-collateral loans paid.

You can add more people to the trust circle from the Trust page by default, you only have Default trust members on there, which only is a small portion of the forum, and to get green trust visible to everyone, you will need to have positive feedback from one of the DT members. Most of the people on the forum do not have dark green trust from DT members, because they only deal with small portion of people. However good luck trying to find a escrow  Cool
871  Economy / Services / Re: Need Escrow Serivce provider from forum on regular basis on: September 12, 2017, 04:52:52 PM
Hello there technocoins! I recently started offering escrow services for free on bitcointalk, and i would love to assist you with deals that you need escrow on.
I only charge the transaction fee of bitcoin, which at the moment should not be more than around 0.1$ per transaction.
You can see my working hours from my Thread
Waiting towards on making business with you, Best Regards.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help setting up bitcoin.conf file on: September 12, 2017, 04:01:39 PM
The bitcoin.conf file should be located at ~/.bitcoin
You'll need to do your config, and then edit the file.
Have you already made the config, or do you need help setting up the lines or for what?
I can give you step by step instructions and even make the config for you if you need help, if you are new to GNU/Linux systems, you can see the hidden folders on file manager when pressing CTRL + R.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wallet malfuction on: September 12, 2017, 02:19:46 PM
Hi,

Thanks onnz24 to answer.

I did tried a new wallet : didnt work. I tried change servers : didnt work either, actually electrum wont connect to any server if I dont switch it off and on again..
I gonna try your node solution.. Ill be back.. ^^

And many thanks Danny to reassure me : so they wont be lost.. ever ? Smiley
Good !..

The time I get back the new wallet did connect and start sync.. It stucks now in june 2017 with not verified transactions and will go on I hope.

Will update..

Your coins will not be lost if you hold the private keys or the wallet files. what is your electrum version if i may ask?
If it is old, please update it since it might have some old nodes.
You can also try to delete all the files on the electrum folder apart from the wallets folder

press windows + R and then write on the box the following: %appdata%/electrum

Then delete everything except folder named "wallets". WALLETS FOLDER HAS YOUR PRIVATE KEYS, WHATEVER YOU DO NOT DELETE IT!!

This kind of approach could work as well, however i recommend trying to update your wallet. Hosting electrum node takes quite alot of tech knowledge to succesfully do.
874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wallet malfuction on: September 12, 2017, 01:39:52 PM
Hey! Some of the electrum servers do not work sometimes, so you'll need to switch the server that you are currently using.
Here is how you can do it:

1. Click "Tools" from electrum, and then "network".
2. On network you will see many servers, which you can pick out of from which you want to use. You can change them quickly depending on which works and which do not.
3. Then just press okay, and wait for 10 seconds to see whether the electrum syncs the transactions or not.

You can run your own electrum node as well, if you want. However this requires a computer with at least 150GB of free HDD space for the blockchain, since electrum nodes search for the transacactions from bitcoin nodes which are setup.
I hope this helps you, and if none of the servers work, you will have to update electrum probably or sign a transaction seperately and broadcast it or just simply export and import the private key to another wallet.
875  Economy / Services / Re: How to make your own exchange within an hour on: September 12, 2017, 12:50:24 PM
Great to see a tutorial about how to make a exchange using your API. However i like the fact that you are still on hold of the wallets, so no one will be able to use the code to scam people. However there are alot of cryptocurrencies, that have different JSON-RPC calls (at least cryptonote as far as i know), so im wondering if a support for example cryptonote currencies will be added on the future? Would be really cool to at least see Monero, Bytecoin and such added to the exchange, because so far there are only 4 of them. I just do not realise why the people who want to exchange would not just directly go to your site, instead of frontend clone site that uses your site.

I don't need to open and watch this video to understand that in some point is coming moment where you have to register or download something.. old school of malware implementing..

Be careful guys  Cool

Great, we have a signature campaign spammer here. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, and are just doing this for spamming on your campaign. Thank you for contributing with nothing!

Ps. Please next time when you make a thread, make it self-moderated so you can delete comments of the spammers that are not contributing at all.

"These will be announced once the design is done Smiley Just posted a PRE-ANN on a good time, so people know that such a coin will be launched and they have time to prepare."

Any  details? Is it a joke?))

How so? I want a fair launch, and give people time to prepare. It's still a WiP anyway, so what would rushing the release help exactly with?

I hope all informations will be final for the launch.
It will be a POS coin ? You plane to add masternode ?

No, this will be an CryptoNight PoW, but you can mine it with any computer since the algo is fair to everyone! Smiley
I don't think anyone has yet succesfully made a CryptoNight coin with masternodes, or PoS.
878  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 0.02198 BTC for trusted Paypal exchange on: September 11, 2017, 01:44:13 AM
I need 0.009BTC. Could you possibly sell such an amount?
You can send with as low fee as possible to save on fees. Let me know, can complete this trade in like 40 minutes or so on.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][CryptoNight]Saunacoin on: September 10, 2017, 09:38:50 PM
No airdrops, no bounty? Sadly

Im still trying to figure this out, nothing has been 100% yet decided.
What kind of bounties were you thinking about?
Usually airdrops just lead into people dumping the coins at the moment that they get into exchange, so i think that no airdrop would be better for the coin.
If you would like to contribute with your ideas, feel free to PM me or reply here, i consider every single idea Wink
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][CryptoNight]Saunacoin on: September 10, 2017, 09:31:40 PM

To qualify for airdrop you must have at least 60 posts, and have been registered before 1st of June.
Cry Discrimination!)

Hi, when will the airdrop start? The amount of 5 billion scares, but it will take a few years for that amount to be in circulation! It's topic was created on September 7, but apparently people were not excited.  Cheesy

I was actually thinking of just removing the airdrop part, and making this launch non-profit, and i will only mine few blocks to test the network. Also the plans have changed a little bit, so all of the coins will be mined in around 3 years, and total amount of avaible coins will be changed to 100 million.
