861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 17, 2023, 07:38:14 AM

Probably that is one reason why Donaire is still or can still fight at this age. Because he knows how to take care of his body and as you have said, he has that mentality to go to the gym and train even if he don't have a fight, just to keep himself fit and ready and of course, always be sharp and perfected his craft and tools.

That's the kind of work ethic he has, and we have to commend him for his self-discipline. It's evident that he remains a dangerous fighter, even at his age. Many fans still believe that he has the potential to win another championship. For fans like us, there's no need to worry. Donaire has our support, and we can confidently continue betting on him once the odds are released. Let's keep that money coming!
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 16, 2023, 01:32:57 PM

We will see if he's gonna be the next Dennis Schroeder or his market and position is demandable and that's why he knows what his worth is.

That is unlikely to happen for him as he is a starter. We can at least refer to him as a star player of the team, whereas Dennis Schroeder, I believe, was only a role player when he rejected the offer from the LA Lakers. In the past, there have been players who rejected good offers and ended up struggling to secure a favorable contract.

A good example is Victor Oladipo.

Victor Oladipo Is The Biggest Loser Of Free Agency After Rejecting $112M From Pacers And $45.2M From Rockets Only To Sign A Veteran's Minimum Deal This Offseason

If my information is leaked, there's only two casinos to blame.

But how far can we go in terms of legal action against them?

These casinos are operating in different countries, so it's challenging on our side since there are no specific ways to sue them for leaking our information.

Stadus, where have you been all this whole time?? Cus I cannot believe that you're always active in the forum then you missed the times when several merit sources did alot of aiding to members that actually deserved them?? How's that even possible...I'm curious!!

That was because most of my posts were in gambling sections. I'm active in sports like the NBA, and we all know that there are only a few merits given in gambling discussion sections. Or perhaps my posts don't deserve merits. But enough about me, my observation is for the general audience, especially newcomers who want to rank up where merits are necessary to make it happen.

I don't find it a good idea for a merit source to create a topic and then give participating members a merit, perhaps such a suggestion would be appropriate in local boards with low activity to encourage members to be active in the local board.
I wish all of the local boards have an active merit source.  Smiley

I see that the negatives of the idea are more than its positives. The sources of merit are not employees to give merit only, they do their work in the forum normally and when they find a post worthy of merit, they are stingy with giving merit.

I'm not saying it should be compulsory, though. I'm just suggesting that maybe if they have time, they can create something similar to Jet Cash's initiative. However, since the majority of us do not find it appealing, I suppose we can continue with the current system where we can have organic discussions on whatever topic a member creates, as long as it's valuable.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my suggestion. I appreciate the honest responses, and all of you have valid points. I also believe it's a great idea to promote "organic discussions" in this forum. Instead of focusing on quantity, we should prioritize quality. By doing so, the forum moderators' job of deleting spam threads and posts will be reduced.  Smiley

I'm putting my current balance of $72.50 on the Miami Heat moneyline, which has odds of 4.41.

Good luck!

I'm sorry for your loss. It's a pity that the series ended at the same time as your deposit.
Do you plan to analyze your bets, maybe fix something and try a similar experiment again in the future? It seems to me that your main mistake was that you violated the rule about which you yourself wrote. Rebalancing the bet size would allow you to keep at least part of the deposit.

Yeah, you're right, but it doesn't make sense to bet 5% of the total bankroll when the amount is too low. I would rather go all in since there are only a few games remaining. So, for example, in game 5 where the Nuggets could win, then I might as well risk everything I have and consider the experiment a failure if my bet losses. I'm sure I have learned a lot from this experiment, and I will try again next season right from the start of the regular season. Hopefully, by that time, I will end up with a profit.

Current balance "0" . I am closing this thread also. Thanks, guys!
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 13, 2023, 02:09:03 AM
First half down. So far the Heat are surviving. They’re shooting terribly though. They’re mostly being saved by the fact the Nuggets are shooting 1 for 15 from three point range in the first half. It seems like Miami is making a massive effort to win this game. If they can sustain their defense for another two quarters I think they might win. That’s a tall order though.
Once again, 3-point shooting is a huge factor. If the Nuggets continue to shoot poorly from outside, there's a chance this series will go back to Miami. However, the game is currently tied, and the Heat's chances are still slim.

869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 12, 2023, 12:43:32 PM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

No way, gambling is the reason why I am making life-changing money. Why would I quit gambling? In fact, there's no reason to quit gambling because you don't have to gamble all your winnings. You can enjoy your winnings and still gamble at the same time. The only risk is if you cannot control yourself, as you will surely lose what you have won if you become addicted.

People would only think of quitting gambling if they view it as a burden instead of entertainment.

I stumbled upon a thread by Jet Cash, and it appears to be like a professor interacting with his students, rewarding them with merits for their answers. Honestly, I'm quite impressed with what he has done as it encourages posters to provide more valuable posts, especially those who want to receive merits. As we alll know, not all good posts are merited since some boards do not have as many merits as others.

This brings me to a suggestion for our merit sources out there. Maybe you can create a thread on an important topic for discussion and reward those who share their valuable insights. This way, it would be easier to determine if a thread contains valuable information, as it is initiated by the merit source itself. I hope you understand what I'm trying to emphasize.

I'm not suggesting that it should be compulsory for merit sources, but I wanted to share what I have observed. It's up to you guys to decide how you perceive it.

871  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 01:20:22 PM
but we forget one thing, that investing in bitcoins is safe,....

You forgot that, as it is incorrect. Although we believe that Bitcoin's price may explode in the future, no investment is completely safe. In fact, Bitcoin is classified as a high-risk investment. Let's be realistic.
872  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 03:46:58 AM
What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?

I believe it's too risky, and you might miss the opportunity to benefit from the skyrocketing price of your Bitcoin. When you lend your Bitcoin, you send the coin to the borrower with the expectation of its return based on agreed-upon terms. However, not all the time are these terms followed due to various circumstances. Therefore, it carries significant risk because while you can potentially make a substantial profit when the price increases by, let's say, 300%, you won't be able to sell it because you've lent it out. It's a matter of managing the risk. It's fine to lend, but it's important not to lend everything you have. Moreover, if it's an unsecured loan, it becomes even riskier on your part.

875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 06, 2023, 03:26:51 PM
With the Heat winning a game on the road against the Nuggets, betting on them just became a whole lot more interesting though.

That's obviously the right thing to do. The doubt regarding Miami's capability to beat Denver is now gone due to their win in game 2. Therefore, it is highly likely that this series will be similar to the ones against the Bucks or the Celtics, where the Heat would likely come up as the winner.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency a financial pyramid on: June 04, 2023, 04:29:02 AM

So I had to bring this to the forum to know if you guys also think, cryptocurrency is some ways a financial pyramid.
Let's discuss please

Do you mean a pyramid scheme? Because that word sounds like an outright scam.

I think people need to understand how Bitcoin actually works because not everyone treats it the same way. Let me give you an example. If I use Bitcoin for gambling purposes only, that means I would not care about its investment value. So, my point here is that every user has a different definition of Bitcoin, and I can assure you it's not a pyramid scheme or a scam. The system is built to be decentralized for transaction purposes, and investment is just secondary.
877  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: June 03, 2023, 12:43:58 PM
Betcoin is the new standard that casinos should look up to. I play mainly sports but some casino. Stake isn't close to Betcoin for sports. They are closer in the casino but Betcoin has better bonuses and perks.
The old posters here for a long time probably never played at Betcoin just Stake. The newer people all moved to Betcoin.

You are wrong, Betcoin.ag has been here for a while, it existed first before stake.com.
878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management on: June 03, 2023, 11:57:23 AM

_ Don't risk too much money, start with what you can afford to risk. Focus on the risk not rewards.
It is important to not only start but always adhere to the principle of risking only what you can afford to lose, regardless of how long you have been trading. This principle ensures responsible risk management regardless of your experience in the trading market.

_ Identify potential risk as;if it goes down, if you don't take profit, if you don't use stop loss and if the coin goes against your analysis.

_ Reacting to risk, use stop loss and always take profit.

A stop loss is a type of strategy, specifically a risk management strategy. However, it is crucial to be highly efficient in implementing such a strategy because our goal in trading is not merely to minimize losses, but to maximize profits. Personally, I would rather risk losing everything than remain in a prolonged trade that remains unprofitable.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 28, 2023, 11:19:23 AM
It was an incredible endgame, I honestly thought the Miami Heat would beat it, but things changed at the last second. A really exciting final match will be waiting for us. Both teams need to be very well prepared, the team with better individual player performance will win the last match. It was one of the most exciting series we have watched in recent years Smiley
Who would have expected Boston to be able to come back? Now they are the favorites to win the series after being down 0-3. I would say they were fortunate to get that last shot. There are some controversies among fans suggesting that the game should be investigated. However, it's all in the past now, and we have to move on. Especially for the Heat fans, there's still one game left, so don't worry.

Increase your knowledge and continue with your business, as that is the only way you'll be able to grow your money faster if you succeed.

It's not just about what you know, but also about how you implement that knowledge. It can be very challenging when you are already in business. Some people may be knowledgeable in theory but not in practice. Therefore, the key in life is to love what you do and do what you love. This is the best way for you to grow in your business. You will learn from your mistakes, and eventually, your business will thrive. In short, it is a step-by-step process, and there are no shortcuts unless you win the lottery.
