8661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to do a coin distribution? on: December 13, 2016, 02:39:27 AM
Hello, I just finished a project I started a few months ago. I created a coin from scratch 100% new code, but I was wondering what is the best way to distribute it fairly.

Even though some of you do not like ICOs I think it is one of the best methods because it prevents false accounts from getting coins like what happens in a free distribution.

I was thinking of doing a small ICO and maybe raise like 10 btc to fund a year of development. What are your thoughts?

Edit: the coin is 100% proof of stake

Then you have a big problem. The only fair way for distribution is for energy to be utilized to acquire those rewards or coins. So like bathrobehero said, non ASIC POW is the way. Most of the "supporters" and "developers" of POS are really out there to scam the community. Maybe ICO/POS coins were invented with the no.1 purpose of scamming. I know that is arguable but it is also possible.

i agree with this and this is why many of traders don't like with ICO because ICO can be scamming after its finished and after that, the investor can not get profit as the devs said in the beginning. but if you are really serious with your project, then maybe you can start your ICO for testing how much respond from people and what will benefit that your project can give into the investor and for the people.
8662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: December 13, 2016, 02:35:03 AM
simply do your research and made your personal thought, is the only thing that i have learned
This is simpliest for a beginner but i have some other ways to share that actually i got some  idea what is altcoin need to choose.. coinmarketap is one of the place where you can see all of altcoin in rankings.. most of altcoin that i choose is top 10 or top 20 depends if there is trending coin in top 20.. Those altcoin for me are worth it to buy and sell it in the right time..

The same thing I did here, before buying an altcoins...
I checked in the coinmarketcap which altcoins has a potential in the market...
I buy altcoins which is at lower price and sell it when I reach the profit what I want...

yes coinmarketcap can be our guide to choose what good coins to buy and we can see how much the price in many market exchange, beside that, we can have many clue to make our analyze for the coins, we can make prediction about the coins so we can buy when its in lower price.

8664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It - whatever it needs to be noticed in the trading margin? on: December 12, 2016, 06:34:31 AM
Margin trading is basically adheres to the guidelines of "Trend Is Friend" so we do not fight the current trend if you do not want to lose, just follow the market trend direction where he is going. And do not be greedy in taking profit.

if we are really sure about the trend to go and we have much of fund, then we can go to margin trend but if we don't have much of fund, then i will not suggest this because its too risky and we can not make sure our prediction is always work so be careful when we want to make margin trading.
8665  Economy / Speculation / Re: As bitcoins price holds steady on: December 12, 2016, 06:01:54 AM
its almost ten days the price is not moving into higher price, always down and then up but its not more than $776. if this is stay like this until then its hard to get it more than $800 in the end of this year. but if suddenly china people make a pump, then the price will be reach the higher price.
8666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's guess the bitcoin Price ;D on: December 12, 2016, 05:52:57 AM
I think the OP had a good surprise to see the price of bitcoin increase much more than predicted by him when this post was written last year. I think Bitcoin is in a very favorable position in the market, it is possible to notice certain stability in the range above the seventy dollars, and it seems that the uptrend is still strong.

I think so. his prediction is wrong because now bitcoin price is almost $800. it means that twice than his prediction for this year. probably in 2015 bitcoin price in December was not too high (I forgot it anyway)

well I think in the next year bitcoin price will be $1300 by the end of the year. in 2020 it is probably around $2k

If I am not mistaken, the price of bitcoin in december 2015 its around $400 and yes its increase almost two time from before. if the price is still like this and not move up, then its hard to reach $800 in the next year. but i am sure that bitcoin price will be up in the next year.
8667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead / Dying Coins you want revived on: December 12, 2016, 05:22:55 AM
if the coin is dead and don't have fans or people is not interested to buy, why we want to revive? who will be behind the coins after it revived? because i don't think it is a good idea, the dead coin is history and there are always many new coins for replacing the dead one.
8668  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Is it safe to sell BTC for paypal here? on: December 12, 2016, 05:13:23 AM
I have read of some horror stories. Is it safe tho?

i think its safe to sell BTC on here but as many people said, you should find the right person and recommended, better if use escrow too so you don't have to worried in anything. but for safest more, better you sell your BTC with your friends that you already know and you can trust your friends.
8669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How legal is to create betting/gambling site? on: December 12, 2016, 04:31:45 AM
i don't think that creating a betting/gambling site need license because we only have buy a domain and hosting, build the site with installation the scrypt, and make promote. i would suggest you to create bitcoin gambling site rather than gambling site using fiat because its more safe if something bad is happen.
8670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: December 12, 2016, 04:25:41 AM
for me, i will not play with my profit money and i will keep my profit in my wallet, i will only use my first time money for playing the gambling because i don't want to make any risk with my profit and if i get loss, i only loss with my base fund and not my profit.

8672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is the next Ethereum? on: December 09, 2016, 02:31:55 AM
Well, now people are talking about litecoin, if the price can exceed litecoin 0.01 ,it may be very many people are interested in having litecoin. and when many people are using litecoin, then, I feel that the LTC would exceed eth, and in fact, will be the next eth.

litecoin is a good choice if there are any good movements from the dev and the community of litecoin because until now, the litecoin is still in to deep and still sleeping but i am sure that litecoin will be wake up and be the next ethereum. but for the other option, maybe i will choose ethereum classic and doge. i think the real ethereum is the ethereum classic and we can see that there are a movements for etc classic in the market and so far the price is stable, and for doge, i see that doge is the one of classic coins that have a big fans in the market and i am waiting for good price.
8673  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: December 09, 2016, 02:27:00 AM
Holding Bitcoin long-term (5-10) years has been proven to be historically very safe and profitable, I'd go with it if you don't have any other use for the money right now, probably better than putting it in savings account could make your retirement a lot quicker!
Yes its very good to do and you can make a lot of money with it too to be honest I would go for the long terms again and again.

yes i am agree with Supebox and Deep In The Mines LLC said but i don't want just to holding bitcoin in my wallet, i want to make it grow more than what i am holding and i will do the other way to make it growth. i think its good for us, while we have one investment and we do the other thing to make our bitcoin grow.
8674  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: December 09, 2016, 02:24:26 AM
If I have to quit like OP, I would rather save the altcoins and also invest to the rest that i think has potential in the future. Most good coins or tokens today are getting better plans for its adoption and are also smart enough to just run on platforms. Check them out one of the best I think is ICN.

yes its a good advice but for me, i would save only bitcoin and for me bitcoin is really worth it to keep for a long time. but for the altcoin, i think we only choose the best altcoins that will give us a value in long term. beside that, i don't think that tokens is a good to keep because we should make a list and then we should read all of the tokens that maybe can give us a value and its need a time to understand the long journey from the tokens.
8675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: December 09, 2016, 02:18:58 AM
is it possible that bitcoin will be accepted in local stores, shops etc. since transactions are to slow and customers have to wait until their transactions are verified. And nobody wants to wait.
Can transactions be seeded up to save customers time or any other way to use bitcoin  at local stores.
yes bitcoin transaction is very slow but i think it's better because ensure it's really you or not .and your approval transaction

Transactions are instant. So. Ya. The @OP worded it incorrectly. Confirmations take time but the transaction itself is instant. Did you know credit cards take day/weeks to confirm transactions? What exactly is a better, faster method than bitcoins? Send an appropriate fee and it'll be confirmed in the next block. If you're too damn cheap then you deserve slower confirmation times.
Correct bitcoin is still faster than most other methods of international transactions like Western union, or banks transfers but I think that most people want of bitcoin very fast transactions especially if we are to move to the mainstream and use it everywhere.

But what the guy said in the first quote makes sense. Will the restaurants, stores want to accept Bitcoins as payment method, even if it takes some time to complete transaction? I think people can feel a bit uncomfortable about it.

Maybe the Bitcoin technology can advance a bit more and find a way to make the transactions faster to be completed, what do you think? Would this be possible?
Right now if you add a nice fee you can get confirmation between 0 and 30 minutes I think if we can reduce that time to something like 0 to 5 minutes then we could make payments in places like restaurants were time may not be as tight like in other circumstances.
thats right , Bitcoin confirmation is quite slow thats why other shops has a reason why not they accepts bitcoin as payments to their shops. They accept bank transactions because bank transaction is a instant transaction . They dont need to wait for a couple of minutes to wait for.confirmation.

yup and i think it is the main problem for the economic businessman because they don't want when they make a transaction, they need to wait to get 1 confirmation in almost 30 minutes or so, but they only want to wait for short time while they can do other transaction and this should be improved to be a good enough when the economic businessman wants to use bitcoin.
8676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: University Business School ESMT Berlin Now Accepting Bitcoin on: December 09, 2016, 02:09:03 AM
finally another university business school accepting bitcoin and its really good news for bitcoin community like us, and i think its a new innovation from the university that make this decision. i think they realize that bitcoin is one new currency that will be growth in the future and i hope there is another university wants to accepting bitcoin. good work for University Business School ESMT Berlin.
8677  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'd like to get some bitcoins. Is now a good time to do so? on: December 08, 2016, 03:27:38 AM
There is no way to tell for certain. But I would suggest you to buy now, as the price is also increasing in a stable manner, so profitable for short-term trading, I guess. Its going wonders in minutes, and I have seen it grow for a long time from the middle of this year. The halving comes much later, so if you can buy and save until then, you are in for a great profit. Really your choice, though. But some factors to consider are the news of Bitcoin in China, and Donald Trump becoming President of USA, they are some chief factors and these factors are going to increase the price of Bitcoins soon enough.

Buying now is probably okay as long as you plan to hold it long term. But if you want a short term profit, you may be better off waiting for a drop in price since we are now at around $760 per Bitcoin after a recent increase.

i think we should wait for a moment because i think the price will be down and we can wait to see how much the down price so we can decide in what price we want to buy. or if you already to buy, you can hold it for a while to see the price is back to increase.
8678  Economy / Economics / Re: How stable will bitcoin be? on: December 08, 2016, 03:24:06 AM
its more stable than the past few years. and bitcoin is growing rapidly hoping that all of us would use bitcoin so we can make bitcoin price more higher today . until now im waiting till bitcoin reach 1000 us dollars because im buying bitcoin on my friends because they're giving me a low exchanged than the market. and im still waiting for the price range become more higher than today Smiley i think it would be stable for more 5 years.

the price is stable but there is a sign for down before its move into higher but i think it will not reach 1000 us dollars and its too far before we can go for that price. i see on the poloniex, the sign give a new trend for the down and i hope its not down to deep because if this is happen then its really hard to get raise again.
8679  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1000+ is anytime now on: December 08, 2016, 03:13:04 AM
I wish the day will come very soon, when bitcoin come cross $1000, Because in my bitcoin career, i never see the bitcoin come at $1000 in a huge price, That's why i am very greedy, also i hold my bitcoins, and many time i am panic when bitcoin's price suddenly down, But now i mustily hold my bitcoins till the end, when bitcoin would be come at $1000.

i am not yet see the price at $1000 too and i really hope that i can see that price soon like you wanted. but it would not be happen until the next year and the price is around under that price.

LOL better start to wonder what will happen if the prophecies of $1000 in December don't come true.
Last time, and all the times before, we went through such a failed mass delusion prophevy we had a significant crash.

I would say a crash between now and January next year is pretty much guaranteed as all of your 'to the moon' predictions, again, didn't come true.

I'm detecting a pattern of failed 'to the moon' predictions here.

Time to wake up sheeple!

really? so the pattern show to you that there are only down for the price? can you show to us about this? because i am really curious is its true and i don't want to see a crash from now on.
8680  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to start seriously talking about a $5000 BTC on: December 08, 2016, 03:09:34 AM
It seems that your $5000 per BTC1 is still far away from the true situtation at the moment yet it looks like many things to do before attaining that money to valued to bitcoin now.

Anyway dreaming is unlimited..

yup, this dream will still be dream and its not be happen in this end of the year, maybe its need more years when we can see this price and it would need more preparation from bitcoin dev and community.
