881  Other / Off-topic / Re: voice messaging on bitcointalk on: May 17, 2020, 06:44:03 AM
hey guys do you think its possible or even a good idea to add voice messaging to bitcoin talk forum?
for those people who are more comfortable using voice messages and hearing other ppl out and they rather convey their thoughts through speaking.
but then again i have never seen voice messaging on forums and im not very well informed on how it works, just thought that it would be really cool and i would use it.
but im thinking how it would affect activity and posts and maybe it does not seem like a very feasible idea idk, what are your thoughts?

I don't find that voice messages is a good idea.
We have members in the bitcointalk community all other the world and everyone has a different accent. Having said that, this is going to decrease the communication between us. Letters and words make it clearer to understand what others want to say.
882  Other / Off-topic / Re: Appreciating the things we do have!? on: May 17, 2020, 06:41:54 AM
It is so sad that you realized that you have to appreciate the things you have in this way.
Usually it comes with a bad event such as they one that you endured.
Live your life in the way you want as every moment counts. Remember that the things you have someone doesn't and you have to be blessed for that.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: May 17, 2020, 06:38:12 AM
3 players have tested positive for covid19 ahead of the training sessions starting this weekend and next week:

- Remiro (Real Sociedad). Source
- Lodi (Atletico Madrid). Source
- Herrera (Granada). Source

No word from the LFP or the government yet, but just like it happened in Germany, players testing positive shouldn't change the schedule proposed by the govt and the league federation (in germany, the restart of bundesliga, and in Spain, training sessions next week).

I don't think the players that have tested positive ahead of training will have any effects on their plans to resume, with regards to happened Germany I was expecting a further postponement of the resumption date, but It seems the government finally regard the virus to be less threatening. I learnt certain teams in spain have resumed training sessions already as of yesterday, according to goal.com

This "It seems the government finally regard the virus to be less threatening" makes me sick.
It is inevitable not to see new infections of covid-19 to players in La Liga. However, I think that leagues are going to continue normally. If this virus is not a threat why did they stop all the leagues for so many time?
884  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-05] Power Plant Mines BTC 5.5/day on: May 17, 2020, 06:30:36 AM
So what? Cloud mining is much more efficient.

For real man... Don't spread false news... I guess you haven't ever tried neither ordinary mining nor cloud mining.
What puzzles me is the cost that is needed in order to set up a mining plant that mines 5.5 BTC/day. I guess this investment is going to be millions and if the electricity is not cheap you will never be able to pay off.
885  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-16] JK Rowling Asks About Bitcoin on: May 17, 2020, 06:28:03 AM
We don't need JK Rowling to understand Bitcoin.
She cannot do anything in order to grow the network or to make it mainstream in economic worlds. The only think that she could do - if she really understands the meaning of Bitcoin - is to write a book about it and give a little fame to it.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 17, 2020, 06:25:55 AM
What a great match! Shocked Dortmund won over Schalke, and took away sleep of Bayern's eyes. Now Bayern will understand what tension is! If Byron can't win against Berlin today then it will be difficult for them to hold on to their position, Today's match will be really exciting. Shocked Both teams have a very strong position in the points table. Although Bayern are very optimistic about their next game win. If nothing miraculous happens, hope they will be able to hold their own.

It was a solid win from Dortmund.
Now it is very dangerous for Bayern to lose the league title after the restart of the league. If Bayern will not be in good form and they will lose points at least in the first matches they will lose the title as Dortmund seems to be on top form.
887  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-06] Bitcoin Halving: Bitcoin Could Be About To Make Another Major Move on: May 16, 2020, 05:22:10 PM
People believe that Bitcoin is not going to make because it have been almost a week and the price is not moving.
They are seeing that the price is falling and they do not have the patience to wait for the price to go up and they have just started to give up and selling.
888  Other / Politics & Society / Re: should china be punished for Bullying Countries? on: May 16, 2020, 04:39:48 PM
China!? If the Chinese people wanted to punish their government, they would have done it already.

In the free world, it's up to the citizens to punish their governmental authorities for bullying. "It's China's fault. It's China's fault," they keep on screaming.

S***. When did China force any of the leaders of the free world to do anything? If they did, prove it. Otherwise, get up and prove that anything that China says is the truth. I mean, prove it to your people. If you won't prove it to your people, then you are the ones who are bullying your people.

Proof. Not just talk that you have proof.

Cool

That's is so true. If citizens do not like the Chinese policy then why they do not protest in order to stop it?
They do not have any problem with that and I wonder why all other people - who do not leave in China have problems with their policies. They have never lived there and they do not know exactly how it is.
889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: University Study Finds Fire Did Not Cause Building 7's Collapse on 9/11 on: May 16, 2020, 04:36:28 PM
Seriously, after 19 years still bringing that up?
Next thing you gonna say moon landing was faked?
Or that earth is round....

Why not? If the reasons of the collapse are not true we need to reveal the truth.
Even if there was a fire that caused collapse how come an airplane crashed to a building in a huge city in the US without taking into consideration this airplane that was flying in such low feet?
This puzzles me a lot and I think a lot of people as well...
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 16, 2020, 04:32:07 PM
^^ Emre Can cannot be substituted by Haaland as they do not play on the same position.
It is more interesting to see Haaland playing along with Mbappe together so why not Real Madrid sign them both in 2 years. This would mean that they are going to build a team with them as main players of the squad.
891  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: May 16, 2020, 04:27:42 PM
I don’t see corona leaving any time soon if a vaccine can’t be produced. A vaccine that cures and make you immune to the disease.

Even if vaccines will not be produced we cannot continue to live under lockdown.
It will be a huge economic disaster and many people are going to lose their jobs due to that because businesses are going to be closed.
We are going to see huge decrease in the world's GDP already so we should not continue this bad trend.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 16, 2020, 04:20:38 PM
I'm not so sure that Lewis can only retire if he leaves Mercedes.

I am more convinced that Lewis will only retire when he will break Shumacher's records or when he will have no longer the opportunity to do so either because of the advancing age or because he will not drive a non-competitive car which can happen in two years with the incoming technical revolution, remember as examples the Button BrawnGP or Vettel's RedBull born after the revolution a few years ago?

My point is that Mercedes is the dominant team in F1.
If Lewis leaves Mercedes then he quits every change of getting a bigger legend than Schumacher because he will not be able to reach the top with any other team right now.
893  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Global warming explained once and for all. IPCC says: nothing to worry about on: May 16, 2020, 04:17:33 PM
Nothing to worry about?
The climate has already changed and we have to act fast if we want to overcome the worst.
There are so many extreme changes in the temperature of my region that are not normal. You can feel the disaster without being a scientist.
894  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Social Distancing' Is Snake Oil, Not Science on: May 15, 2020, 06:33:40 PM
Yes, when everyone is social distancing, then a large percentage of the newly confirmed cases will come from people who were at home. When Cuomo says "literally at home", that's not the reality. People leave to get food, go grocery shopping, or might step out of their home for any other reason. If not them, someone in their household could be doing the same which would then infect someone in the same house who may have not left their home at all period. I've seen a lot of rag tier tabloids take Cuomo's quote out of context to spread propaganda about social distancing or lock downs.

You can look at the charts yourself and see that social distancing does reduce the spread. - https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html

How would do you explain the reduction in growth of cases? Is it a mere coincidence that the exponential growth of cases just so happen to flatten out as lock down occurred?

This is so true. People go out at least once a day - especially now that some of them are going to work.
This means that social distancing is not working on 100% and the results are not going to depict the clear effects that social distancing might bring to our society and the reduction of infections eventually.
895  Other / Off-topic / Re: UK Covid-19 Numbers Being Manipulated By Gov on: May 15, 2020, 06:29:54 PM
Governments and scientists do not know what Covid-19 causes to people after you get infected.
This results are going to be revealed in the future as it is still under experimental tests.
Thus, scientists declare that covid-19 caused the death in order to be covered and cover all possible situations.
896  Other / Off-topic / Re: A Decentralized Painting on: May 15, 2020, 06:22:52 PM
I remember that there were a project in the TRON blockchain before a year or more similar to your idea.
There was a creator of a painting that was selling paintings. Anyone could acquire this painting and previous owners got a commission about that. The earlier the owner you were the bigger the commission.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 15, 2020, 06:17:12 PM
I think that Serie A will never end this year.
Italy had so many infections all that time and it is inevitable to see that no one of the players is going to get infected during the restart of the league. As you said if a player is found positive the whole team is going to go on quarantine but also the teams that had games with the team of the infected player.

I honestly don't think Hamilton can retire in the next two or three years, he is the only driver in the right position to enter the myth and stay there for many years.
He is the only driver who can currently reach and beat the legend of Micheal Schumacher and I believe he will try until he has the chance to do so.

Different speech for Sebastian now his chances of reaching and beating Michael are extremely low.
At the moment Hamilton can only reach Schumacher in the Mercedes, you have to see what will happen in the future with the new cars.

Then I also think that Lewis's seat will be taken by Max when Lewis decides to stop.
Hamilton is going to retire only if he leaves Mercedes.
He has made a great team in here and they help him be the F1 legend. He is not going stop until he will be the No 1 driver in F1 history.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 15, 2020, 04:51:13 PM
Mourinho is a manager who is known for his controversial. I am not surprised by what was mentioned in the media. He will always create a sensation to increase the level of his fame. So, I don't think it's necessary to take the message too seriously. There may also be a satirical message for the Bundesliga not just for teams in the premier league

This is true. Mourinho became famous due to the statements that he was making to the media.
He was always offensive to the media and this is a reason that he was increasing his fame and eventually his value.
900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin popped $10 000 on: May 14, 2020, 03:49:08 PM
10k is a strong level with huge resistance.
I think that if we are going to reach it again the price is going to be dropped again as there would be a lot of people who would like to hold even if the halving event is already over.
