Even with that amount with the dev we have on board min target price is 30k+ so don't panic.

Thanks for the clarification!

895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing ProzCoin : Proof of Action (PoA) on: September 15, 2014, 02:52:24 AM

My opinion is still that you should *only* be working on proving the PoA.  You've made only one claim of innovation, can't back that claim up with anything tangible yet, and are already collecting money for it.  This is the very definition of vaporware.  (Some might even consider it more nefarious than just an "unmet promise" made, too.)

Quote
The client is NOT the highest priority right now as we are working on some major things.

The client should be of highest priority, as it is a necessary component for ₱oA to be enacted and demonstrated

I'm working on the client / chain / ₱oA workflow tonight and wanted to get any insight or suggestions you have. at this point I've got a crypto challenge / response exchange similar to those used to log in to sites without sending your password to the server. This will essentially prove that

  • 1, You requested the "work",
  • 2, You (and not someone else) did the work.
  • 3, You performed some action along with the work.

The ₱oA chain will not worry about ordering, each action will be atomic. At least for initial release. As actions become more advanced we will work out ordering (find x page, click y link, comment in z field)

The Client:

Technology stack:
  • awesomium (in proccess browser chromeium browser)
  • peer.js (webrtc)
  • btsync (Blockchain storage and distribution)
  • nodejs (server)

General flow of client (How to mine ₱ROZ)

Release will be issued along with a free amount of t₱ or Test ₱ROZ that can be used throughout the system.

The client will be a web browser based on chromium that can be run on OSx Linux or Windoze (.NET & Mono Compiled)

I will try and include a cloud build environment that will let you inspect code before issuing a build. This will allow all the haters to understand exactly what's being built into the client and not have to trust a binary they download from the internet.

How mining works:
  • You will navigate the CoinProz website and affiliate sites using the client. The Client will inject logic into the pages you visit to place "₱ Deposits" throughout the mineable areas. (People might be able to purchase blocks of actionable activity for anyone to mine later)
  • Each page the client visits will also include an incremental nonce from the client.
  • The server takes the client nonce, a server nonce and session salt and creates the deposits.
  • The client upon receipt of the deposits from the network will inject them into the page present in the client.

  • In order to mine a deposit you will need to perform the action, performing the action usually involves submission of a form. The form will contain a piece of the solution to the crypto puzzle, this will be stored in the chain.

  • Upon submission the client will receive the last piece of the crypto puzzle, allowing a user's client to build the pieces into a transaction and sign it with the client's current pubkey.

  • The server can determine from the resulting transaction that the owner of the pubkey is the signer of the transaction, that the server verified that the action was completed, and that the rest of the deposit was actually placed there by the network.

This is a very high level view of the puzzle/proof process, a more detailed description will live on our github page.

Thoughts? Improvements, Glaring holes?

Thanks for the update.
hope after we have a new wallet, bittrex will add proz.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (OFFICIAL COMMUNITY TAKEOVER) VvXxCoin - X13 POW/POS on: September 15, 2014, 02:51:02 AM
vote for opencoin

also if possible, we can launch a new coin and people can send their vvxx to dev team for new coin swap.

how about we launch a new coin which has 560000coins, and Another 280000coins  reserved for miners.

people who hold vvxxcoin can swap their VVXX into opencoin?

897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (OFFICIAL COMMUNITY TAKEOVER) VvXxCoin - X13 POW/POS on: September 14, 2014, 09:46:14 AM
also will we have a new wallet?
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (OFFICIAL COMMUNITY TAKEOVER) VvXxCoin - X13 POW/POS on: September 14, 2014, 09:45:48 AM
I'm for changing it completely, it will erase the old coin fully and be easier to find a new name.

Why not start a new coin with a clean block chain then ? Smiley

That's honestly the best idea... For those that have been wondering, we will not be listing this coin because of inconsistencies found in the code base.  I want to make this very clear, this is not sfrdevs doing... this was before he came on board.  To clarify, we contracted a trusted dev, Earlz, to help look at the code base and these are some of our findings.

VXX looks to be purposefully malicious coin, most likely designed to scam users for a quick buck.

The source code has been changed sometime recently to cover some of the tracks of the exploit contained within it. Thus, this is why if you compile the coin from source today, it won't sync with the binary wallets. On the github, you'll notice the code was created on August 7th. however, the code was released on the 6th. Pools/Exchanges that downloaded this code on day 1 probably have different code from the code that is currently uploaded.

The exact exploit is similar to MagicCoin. Basically, when miners mine a new block, there is no rule enforcing that they are mining the correct amount of coins. They can mine however many coins they wish.

Along with this exploit, there were some malicious changes which attempted to hide this exploit. Basically, it'd show every block mined as only having mined 100 coins, along with every transaction. This caused some block explorers to show incorrect data, along with the RPC interface.

-     result.push_back(Pair("mint", ValueFromAmount(blockindex->nMint)));
+    result.push_back(Pair("mint", 100));
-     out.push_back(Pair("value", ValueFromAmount(txout.nValue)));
+    out.push_back(Pair("value", 100));

I've spoken to SFR dev who assures me he is fixing these problems, but due to the way the coin was launched and the lack of trust I personally have with the state of the blockchain, I highly doubt we will be listing the coin.

thanks,
Richie@bittrex

Yes this coin had some serious malicious code in it. Which explains that big dump where someone had 1/3 of supply. After checking the scam code Richie pointed out, this coin dev was indeed looking for a quick buck. The scam code was added after the release and after c-cex added it to their exchange.
So initially it looked legit.
I am frustrated with this shitty scam and just feel like i have wasted a lot of my time. Most of u put money just because of my name. If i back out, you might lose ur money. So just because of that reason, i am trying to fix the code. I have already fixed a few bits. I have requested Earlz who analyzed this code to help me in cleaning the scam code.

If he obliges and we are able to clean everything well, we can get this back on track.

Thanks for the hard working!
hope dev can fix this problem.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (OFFICIAL TAKEOVER) VvXxCoin - Head Developer: SaffronCoin Dev on: September 13, 2014, 01:47:01 PM
I confirm that I am the SFR Dev that will be contributing to development of VvXx. The VvXx community reached out saying they wanted to revive the coin. I will be including a bit of SFR Tech in it. This coin had potential but the dev turned out to be a scammer.

Thanks for help vvxx community. you can give us a  community donation address.

is there a community donation adress so whe can help to get this coin back on track.
i want to donate some for richlist, blockexplorer, etc.

let us know pls.

whe can do this as a community.

+1, this coin is rare.

and we have a good dev now.

so everything is promising now.
