maybe he never thought that BTC would reach hundreds of dollars each one day in such short time period?
I don't remember any comment directly about it
Im also interested on this. Did Satoshi ever mention price predictions? I guess he never imagined 1 BTC reaching 1K 4 years later, like not even considered it.

Much needed reminder given the current obsession with IS and the like, that the craziest mofos in town are still the Koreans of the North. Beyond all dispute.
IS and NK are equally insane. Kim is just doing the usual scare mongering tactics with his shitty soviet missiles.

Just get a online wallet at blockchain.info with 2Fa enabled for small amounts of BTC. I do not mess around with "unknown" wallet providers ...... I also store BTC in cold storage on paper wallets to be on the safe side. 2 000 000 wallets is not a bad track record, and it make sense not to use something, nearly nobody knows. This, dont fuck around with experimental stuff. Also if you are going to store bitcoin super long term then just get a bitcoin-qt wallet and save the wallet.dat in several places imo.

Transaction fees, plus if it's still used when all the coins are mined, there will be such a strong infrastructure (also government controlled probably) that security shouldn't be an issue.
How can be bitcoin "goverment controlled"?? ... you are making no sense. They'll never centralize mining, they cant do it now, let alone in the future as the network grows even more.

What exchanges do in order to provide more anonymity and don't have a single address is generating random addresses when you click "deposit btc" so no one knows if you are depositing it in an exchange or sending it to someone other person or whatnot.
I would like something similar to receive donations.

why not? BTC is really good stuff for payments. there is no much fees, no wait, secure, etc. not just facebook. bitcoin or altcoins are really best shot for websites. for example steam or game sites. think about it. there is a little boy age 15. parents dont trust him. because he is too young. he might do mistake when he spend his pocket money. give him a wallet. android or ios app. send BTC to him. and maybe your son will be coinrich but if their are good use on the other side missuse also so young students must know how to use and legal way like some gambling in some country gambling is baned Authorities can't never know if you gambled or not. Fuck countries that don't allow for some gambling fun anyway.

I might have to re-think selling on localbitcoins. Although I never really hold much bitcoin on my phone.
Yup but they assume you do so you are always risking getting robbed. I dont use localbitcoin IRL interaction anymore. Cant trust these hoes.

I have withdrawed from VirWox approx. 2 days ago (30-+ hours, I think) and I haven't received my coins yet. I was wondering if anyone here had previous experience with them, or if I just lost my money.
If it is your first transaction or so, sometimes they hold it to process manually. It took me 3 days to withdraw for some reason the first time I tried Virwox.. slow withdraw, but fast buy.

So that if all gold speculation goes to Bitcoin (at the prices of 2009) the price of bitcoin would be 1000000$ If bitcoin goes above all electronic payment methods it would be around 240.000 USD per coin.

"It's a method of transmitting money."
Wrong. Bitcoin is money. Bitcoin transactions are ways of transmitting money. Just like checks, bitcoin transactions have little value in themselves. The value is what they transmit. OLD people like Buffet will never get their 20 century brains around Bitcoin. It's HOPELESS. I hope they live enough years to get proved wrong big time.

In Built Graphic cards don't have enough power to be worth it for mining, plus I wouldn't risk damaging the MOBO.

So I'm thinking about getting into bitcoin trading and stuff, and I plan to begin storing my first bitcoins soon. I've read for this sense it is much safer to have Linux than for example Windows (as it is for a lot of other aspects aswell). Do you think is this really a thing to consider? Do I need to have tons of bitcoins before I get concerned about their safety? Should I consider switching to Linux if I'm storing just a few of them, or is it stupid?
Thanks erry'one in advance.
you don't need to switch to linux just because of bitcoin, there are other ways for securing your bitcoin like paper wallet or like thisbut linux is more secure and if you are willing to migrate from "familiar" windows to a new environment then go for it, especially if the programs that you use day by day have also linux versions The problem is if you like videogames. I do and I also tend to use audio programs for music making. So If I want to use Linux I have to shut down and boot under Linux. Going through Win to Linux just for Bitcoin isnt worth it for me. yes, exactly. this is my problem too. that is why i said "the programs that you use day by day have also linux versions". well videogames are a big part of it. but mostly some professional programs do not have any linux version and so a peroson who uses them on daily basis will encounter problems p.s. i am not sure but i think there are ways to run there apps in linux too Yeah you can sort of emulate Windows under Linux and play, but the performance is terribly bad compared to the real thing.
