881  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB Xbox Guitar 360.. on: May 05, 2019, 11:32:22 PM
If you are in USA you should just go to a thrift shop, they got tons of them in my area. I just donated mine to them, shipping that will probably cost more than the guitar itself.

Are you telling me this bid is valid? It's a brand new account with only 3 posts and the only thing they have done is bid on your auctions

-always offer escrow and dont be offended if someone asks to use escrow, it what makes our little playground work so well.  Dont always need to use it but it should be openly accepted.

That's a much better way to phrase the escrow. I updated the OP

You could have just said; "Don't act like I have for years" and saved a bunch of Internet.

You could have said nothing at all if you had nothing nice to say.

There are new people here everyday who do not know the Dos and Do not s

Updated the op
885  Economy / Collectibles / Re: The unofficial list of proper etiquette when... on: May 04, 2019, 08:49:45 PM
Although I did somewhat in jest post the "it's rude to outbid someone in a different auction who is bidding on one of your auctions" it does ring somewhat true.
I know I have tagged out to 2 or 3 people in PMs (possibly more) asking for a nod of OK before bidding / outbidding them if I felt a conflict could ever be seen.

Also:
Location of item(s) should be mentioned.
Are you auctioning this for you or for someone else.

-Dave

I had no idea of that one, and I have been here for a little bit so I felt the need to post this thread. I'll update it, those are good ones
886  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Market ‘Bullish’ in Wake of Bitcoin’s 20% Surge on: May 04, 2019, 07:14:34 PM
It looks like bitcoin has always followed the same price trend, for bitcoin to end lower than it started this calendar year it would break every past trend. So to me it is always gonna be bullish for this year at least
887  Economy / Collectibles / The unofficial list of proper etiquette when... on: May 04, 2019, 06:39:35 PM
buying items/listing auctions/ bidding on auctions/ hosting raffles etc.

I realized we do not have one of these threads, and there a million unwritten rules when it comes to being here so here are some tips if you are new. Any thoughts/opinions on what I should add or edit

These are not all of them, and by no means is this a complete list. But I would like to think its close

When posting an item you should
Mention the location of shipping
If you are posting this on behalf of someone, or a collaboration
Post photos of the items with your username and the current time/date written on a piece of paper
"always offer escrow and dont be offended if someone asks to use escrow, it what makes our little playground work so well.  Dont always need to use it but it should be openly accepted" Wheelz
Remember:
Collectibles (child board of Goods) - Trades of physical collectible items ("Including physical Bitcoin coins" as the board's subtext states). If you are selling these collectibles on another site (e.g. have an online store), it doesn't belong here.

Also, if you know it's going to be more then a day or 2 you should mention how log between someone wins & pays and you are going to ship.
Just had a issue where they only ship on Monday and I won something on Tuesday and it was a week before they dropped it in the mail.

-Dave

When hosting an auction you should:
Not change your auction terms after it has started.
Not edit your initial opening post until someone quotes it.
Add a clause that allows you to require a deposit from newbi bidders.
~This can help prevent shill bidding, and from random newbis ruining your auction with bids they do not intend to honor
Not have any crazy clauses that would discourage people from bidding.
~I.E. "I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime and not sell this"
There's no point in having a secret reserve, if you have a reserve just make that your starting bid
Have clear terms
Usually Altcoin related sales should be done in the Altcoin section's (like Marketplace). Regular sections are meant for just Bitcoin. However, this rule was never really strictly enforced from what I remember. I've removed people accepting only USD in Digital Goods, since well, this is Bitcointalk, not USDTalk. With collectible Altcoin items I feel like it's even more iffy, since you wouldn't want to break up the (already small) collectible section.

I always assumed that accepting an Altcoin is fine, as long as you are open for payment in Bitcoin as well.

I'm happy to accept BTC also. Just figured it was easier to price in LTC and accept LTC. If there is such a rule about only accept BTC, that's fine. Just let me know.

Please edit your OP to include this piece of information. BTC must be one of the accepted methods of payment, otherwise the topic belongs in the relevant altcoin board.

To others: feel free to report topics in this section if OP doesn't accept BTC.

When bidding on an auction you should:
Post your bid in the format as described by the auctioneer
Pay when you win
Note that "it's rude to outbid someone in a different auction who is bidding on one of your auctions" told my DaveF, noted here
Private message the auctioneer IF you are a brand new account/little to no trading history to make sure you are able to bid. The auctioneer than can post how your bids are valid and you are not shilling

When buying an item via PM you should:
Not ask a million stupid questions
Don't be penny pinching when it comes to shipping/escrow cost.
Don't beg

When hosting a raffle you should:
Have an escrow if its a high valued item.
If it doesn't fill up in a week, you can adjust the ticket price, add items to the raffle, cancel it and give out refunds.
If it doesn't look like the raffle will fill up, than do not accept payment till the spots are filled, or mostly filled.

Use one of these cool templates listed here

889  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corruption in The White House. on: May 03, 2019, 02:07:06 AM
When you own the judges and the jury you don't go to jail, they will either all be tried and found guilty and than exonerated by Trump, or nothing will happen at all. But to think that our government is corrupt that is like saying our police could be  Shocked

894  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Raffle] 1986 liberty dollar! Great condition! 7/16 slots! 0.00035BTC/SLOT! on: May 03, 2019, 12:02:43 AM
Maybe since I bought the most spots and you just reduced the ticket price to half you wanna give me those last few spots?
You bought 5 tickets at 0.00035 each im not sure where your getting your numbers from

Ah my mistake I misread your post, 0.00175 for all the remaining tickets, not 0.000175 for each of the remaining tickets

I'll get the leftover tickets. Wow 360 between post and post that is kinda unconvenient, I will have a look at those copper memberships.
Let me know how much eth should I send you, I have eth and swap min amount doesn't let me get it into clam... Or btc, but I have faith you will buy clams with it and invest and degen it Smiley.
i quit degening only saving now! I really hate eth though ill do all the remaining tickets for 0.00175 buy it now btc only though realpy just want to end the raffle and ship out to winner already

896  Economy / Securities / Re: [WTB] Nastyfans seats on: May 02, 2019, 09:30:16 PM
Maybe you are the proud owner of a few hundred seats and wanna sell me some for a discount. These seats will be used when OG comes out with his next coin and requires seats.

If this isnt the right subtopic for this I am not too sure where I should put it.

Don't the minted seats already come with "seats"?

If so, then why/how could or would you want to transfer additional seats to an already "seat loaded" coin?

thanks!

Some minted seats require a donation of X amount of seats if I can recall correctly and read correctly.

Like the reaaaallly nice big gold ones.

Only if this had 161 sources to go with it, with links. Maybe if all the pictures where relevant to the post but that would be hard, I think without the pictures would be way more mobile friendly too
899  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptios on: May 02, 2019, 06:38:16 PM
I feel like all the fourm money that is spent is 100% transparent in where it goes. How much is the fourm paying for cryptios? If its not transparent, its gotta be pretty close right.
