842  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos - Request: Multisig addresses for treasurers on: May 13, 2019, 08:43:47 PM
What about:

1: Theymos
2: Ognasty
3: Otoh
4: GP
5: Minerjones
6: BG4
7: Blazed
8: coblee

I think that if the fourm goes to multi sig, that at least 3 or 4 of the people that are picked, individually have more than 500 btc.
843  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos - Request: Multisig addresses for treasurers on: May 13, 2019, 08:00:21 PM
I know OG gets 0.5BTC meaning more key holders, more money to pay every month.
I think the current BTC0.5-per-month fee is ridiculously high and having 7 treasurers wouldn't require paying each one a similar fee.
Probably BTC0.02 or BTC0.05 for each one would be more than enough.

In my opinion 2-of-3 isn't enough (but still much better than now of course).

You think that 0.1% of the total is not a fair escrow price? What % do you think would be fair than? I see a ton of escrows on here that want between 0.5-1%

I don't even see the point in having fourm treasurers anymore its not like the fourm is sitting on any large amount of btc. It seems like it is all pretty much spent
844  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Papersafe Bearer Bond 12.5 BTC(Loadable) on: May 13, 2019, 07:39:12 PM
It just sounds like you overpaid,,, by a fucking lot.

I would love to see this go up for auction to see what it would go for.

maybe start it at 0.00 btc with 0.001 increments
845  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] . 999 silver BTC themed playing cards, CryptoDeck on: May 13, 2019, 09:34:05 AM
Well I would like to purchase one of these and I will not spend more than $250 for one. If the hallmark pushes the price from $250 a card to 500. I would much rather not have the hallmark. But if the hallmark just increases the price by a reasonable amount, maybe 5-20% I would so much rather have the hallmark of course.

Considering I'm the cheapest American on the collectible section, I think these will go for a looooooot more than im willingly to pay.
846  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 13, 2019, 09:10:19 AM
Theymos, I hope you realize you are opening yourself personally as well as the forum up to huge legal liability by not taking any action regarding this. If something were to happen to OGNasty, him or his family would have a very solid case, especially since Vod has exhibited this behavior multiple times in the past. Legally speaking you would have no excuses.

How?

Theymos saw the post and then magically the Dox were removed - pretty sure he cleared his liability there buddy.

How? It's pubilcy known that OG holds 500 btc and OG himself has posted his address on the internet.

Nobody shows up to bill gates house to rob him. What about the fact that banks probably have a lot of money in them I don't see people running and jumping to rob them.

How can theymos be held liable for information posted on a semi public forum? That is like saying Christopher Poole is responsiblily for everything posted on 4chan pre 2015
847  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] . 999 silver BTC themed playing cards, CryptoDeck on: May 13, 2019, 08:50:45 AM
A little something i have just learned is that in order for me to comply with UK regulations on selling silver products i must register with the Assay office. This will directly affect the pieces I am doing as they will require a hallmark from an independent third party to verify they are indeed 999 silver. This hallmark will be very small, it will include the purity of silver used, the code for the office which hallmarked it and a tiny version of my 'sponsor logo' (corrosive creations logo)

I will also get the silver graded whilst it is there and aquire a physical copy as proof of purity on these cards. I will include this document with every card won at auction.

This may cause a slight delay to my start of June estimate for bringing these to market however if something is worth doing, its worth doing right.

Cheers

Is it too much of a gray area for you to just give these away than and ask for a suggested donation? Or is trying to get around the law the same as breaking the law.

Or if you gave these to someone in the USA or anywhere else and than they hosted the auction.
848  Economy / Lending / Re: No collateral 0.02 BTC loan to any Legendary member - experiment on: May 12, 2019, 07:05:49 PM
I’m going to sweeten the deal and make it an interest free loan for 14 days.

If you’re interested, just reply to this thread.

Am I invisible? I posted, I don't see how you can deny me
849  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] . 999 silver BTC themed playing cards, CryptoDeck on: May 12, 2019, 07:02:30 PM
Looking to buy a full set with jokers. Lmk!!!! Will send first !

54 Oz of Silver .....

Viz

And? 54 Oz of silver is cheap man lmao

You will end up paying 10+x spot for this you do realise the work that goes into it don’t you?

I cannot wait for these to go to auction to see the sale price. Every card is unique that means 54 different molds right? Maybe if 100, or 1000 of these decks are presold than I could see the cost being close to 10x. I don't think for one deck it's gonna be anywhere near 10x. I bet it's 20-25x
850  Economy / Reputation / Re: What's wrong with Vod, and Hhampuz on: May 12, 2019, 09:20:05 AM
Didn't someone else pubilcy doxx OG a while back and Like with photos and everything if I remember right. And nothing happened to them

There is a rule somewhere, that theymos dox can't be posted,, should that rule be expanded to include all bitcointalk staff members, and those receiving payment from the fourm. IE, fourm treasurers and cryptios
851  Other / Meta / Re: A wave of bans: 400 yesterday, 300 the day before. What changed? on: May 11, 2019, 09:29:27 PM
So someone created a working bot to detect them?

I have no idea how he spots them but he does a good job.
Suchmoon is transparently one of the people who is reporting plagiarized posts (I am not sure if this is who you are referring to). She is transparently scraping posts in the forum and putting them in some kind of database, which is concerning for a variety of reasons, including the type of business she is in and her lack of integrity. She is most probably cross referencing posts in her database with some other database and/or with google/another search engine.

She also targets, in part specific members, and I know this because she was able to cite a plagiarized post that Redsn0w created from many years ago that was written in a thread with a very small number of posts, and the most recent post in the thread was also from many years ago. I would not make her a mod, and I think a decent number of people would leave if she was made a mod, or if it was discovered she was a mod.

All of the posts here are all public with the exception of a few boards? (No idea what they are, not the point) so if all the information is public anyway, why does it matter if its collected and saved or not? If you think anything you publicly post on the internet isn't saved than you are just kidding yourself.
852  Economy / Lending / Re: [Seeking] 0.04 BTC repayment 0.046 BTC by JUNE 1 on: May 11, 2019, 09:01:21 PM
I really feel like you don't wanna work, I know people that worked at overnights walmart just to walk to mcdondalds to work the day shift and than walk to an office to do some light cleaning and than sleep on the floor there and wake up to do the whole thing over and over again 4-5 days a week.

Its not hard to work 80 hours a week, that would give you a gross of 800$ a week more than enough to rent a motel room if your credit is shot. But instead you come here asking for loans.

Why don't you go join job corps or the service.

Ill fund this 0.04 btc loan if you have collateral,
853  Economy / Lending / Re: No collateral 0.02 BTC loan to any Legendary member - experiment on: May 11, 2019, 08:51:23 PM
I am not a legendary, but I cannot believe that you are still active. Ill take a loan if you wanna give me one.

You can send the btc here

If you are going to make dice you should make a 20 sided dice for all of those DnD players. It would be cool to roll a silver die in order to kill a vampire or something
855  Economy / Collectibles / Re: The unofficial list of proper etiquette when... on: May 11, 2019, 12:35:37 AM
Please add that TMAN excludes kill you from all of my sales moving forwards for being a prized dickhead.

We had such a great PM back and forth after you posted this,

Ill throw it in the OP.

Here is another rule to add to your list:
Collectibles (child board of Goods) - Trades of physical collectible items ("Including physical Bitcoin coins" as the board's subtext states). If you are selling these collectibles on another site (e.g. have an online store), it doesn't belong here.

Ill throw that one in the OP too. Thank you for the source.

And I was nothing but polite in the auction thread, it was you, tman, and LC that jumped down my throat telling me that I was wrong, when infact I was right.

856  Other / Meta / Re: Auctions in the collectibles on: May 10, 2019, 10:32:15 PM
Usually Altcoin related sales should be done in the Altcoin section's (like Marketplace). Regular sections are meant for just Bitcoin. However, this rule was never really strictly enforced from what I remember. I've removed people accepting only USD in Digital Goods, since well, this is Bitcointalk, not USDTalk. With collectible Altcoin items I feel like it's even more iffy, since you wouldn't want to break up the (already small) collectible section.

I always assumed that accepting an Altcoin is fine, as long as you are open for payment in Bitcoin as well.

My question is that, can auctions be hosted in the collectible section and NOT be in BTC. Because I have tried to host auctions and not take BTC and I was told I couldn't but it seems special people get special privileges

Special people do get special privileges KY. Don’t get minty about it

If Bitcoin is not accepted as payment or it is not related to Bitcoin or crypto in any way it has no business being here. This has been the standard forever. People wonder why there are complaints of nepotism with jamokes like you on the default trust.

To be clear: Charlie Lee, Creator of Litecoin and subject of killyou's idiotic thread here is auctioning a few physical litecoins.  Charlie is accepting bids in LTC, payment in LTC or BTC.

Killyou is very much a net negative to our community.   I have tried to support him in the past, as he needs it, but he continues to prove to be an inconsiderate asshole.

I am not the one mentioning charlie lee here, YOU and TMAN are. I am asking about the rules on the collectible section.

and to be clear, he is only accepting BTC after I nicely asked him if the rules changed or not.

I am here asking about the fucking rules of this community and I am getting shit on for it

so than you are saying I am correct in my OP?

Because it sounds like from reading your posts I am correct. I am not minty about it. I think that auctions in the collectibles should be able to be had in any currency

I am trying to get clarification on the rules of the forum

Since when can auctions in the collectibles not be done in btc? Because I can remember trying to host an auction there with bidding not being done in BTC and I was told by multiple people I couldn't do that. But now I look at auctions in the collectibles section and I see a ton that aren't in btc.

So can I get some clarification of when this rule changed?

Told you before Charlie can do what the fuck he wants, when you have enough money to join in the auction then you can comment, until then KYjelly please stop bitching for your sig.

This has nothing to do with Charlie, this has to do with auctions in the collectible section

We have rules, I thought the rules applied to everyone
860  Economy / Collectibles / Re: The unofficial list of proper etiquette when... on: May 10, 2019, 09:59:40 PM
I saw a user post this in another thread:

Excuse me coblee, but I was curious if the rules of this section have changed, because I was under the impression that auctions in this section have to be in BTC. I see some people get around this by taking bids in an alt currency and than accepting the equivalent in BTC when the auction ends.
I don't see anything to address this in the list of unofficial official rules in the OP. Does OP ever get updated or did the author just post it for merit/sig spam? I can see how this user quoted above might be confused if they read the list in OP and do not see anything included about this type of rule.

Looks like the confused user is also posting in Meta:

Since when can auctions in the collectibles not be done in btc? Because I can remember trying to host an auction there with bidding not being done in BTC and I was told by multiple people I couldn't do that. But now I look at auctions in the collectibles section and I see a ton that aren't in btc.

If this was such a wide spread rule I wonder why he never included it in his OP. It seems the confused user and the author of the unofficial official rules list are the same person.. weird. Is he purposely not updating the list of unofficial rules and keeping it vague so he can get more posts for his signature campaign? Merit? Why is he posting in Meta and not this very thread that he started for this specific purpose. My mind is blown, some kind of special.

Jeez you have such a big problem with me just gotta follow me around right

I posted it in meta, because questions about the fourm rules belong in meta.

I am not a saint, I cannot remember every little rule there is on here, especially ones that don't come up so often.

I'm happy to accept BTC also. Just figured it was easier to price in LTC and accept LTC. If there is such a rule about only accept BTC, that's fine. Just let me know.

Please edit your OP to include this piece of information. BTC must be one of the accepted methods of payment, otherwise the topic belongs in the relevant altcoin board.

To others: feel free to report topics in this section if OP doesn't accept BTC.

coblee recently posted he also accepts BTC and I told him to include that info in the OP, next time feel free to report similar topics.

I always assumed that accepting an Altcoin is fine, as long as you are open for payment in Bitcoin as well.

Yes, that has always been the case (since altcoins were first used on bitcointalk).

WOW I WAS RIGHT. and yet I will get noooo apology from anyone
