Two additional requests, if I may: 1.) Allow pre-selection of the currency that counters the BTC: 2.) Display the currency symbol: e.g,. 50 (bitcoins) = 10.45 GBP
A third request, ... to accept in the URL the actual amount to convert. e.g., To convert 1.23 BTC into the equivalent CAD: http://bitcoin.1t2l.net/widget/?from=BTC&to=CAD&amount=1.23

[edited] So, let's say you are a programmer / cypherpunk living in France, you enjoy dining at the Japanese restaurant Satoshi, http://www.qype.co.uk/place/231150-Satoshi-Paris/photos/1735573are creating this software called Bitcoin and want a pseudonym so that you can avoid revealing your identity. What name would you give yourself?

Square charges 3.5% + $0.15 per "card not present" transaction, and 2.9% + $0.15 per transaction when using their "square" card-swiper phone attachment. No monthly fees, no contract. Square will send you the attachment dongle thingy for free. Android supported as well as iPhone.
Square dropped their fees. Now it is 2.75% and there is NO per-transaction fee. The fees for "card not present" charges didn't change. http://squareup.com/pricingThat certainly seems to be competitive.

NO CASH DAY™, the first international event against cash. At first I thought this was satire: They are proposing a day that you not touch bills or coins because, oh ... well paper money has Staphylococcus bacteria, and cocaine. And coins -- some people are allergic to them! http://www.nocashday.org/?p=1Then look at the sponsors: http://www.waroncash.org VISA / MC / AMEX, Smart Card Alliance, etc. Is this to help stave off a resurgance in hard currency? Nothing says Bitcoiners can't join in on the boycott. Just use bitcoins instead.

There is pretty strong evidence that this guy was involved in some theft of BTC.
I'm confused. All money to mtgox.com was deposited using liberty reserve.
Which currency is being suspected of being stolen ... LRUSDs or BTCs?

Heck, bitcoin faucet pays 0.05 BTC hundreds times a day and results in about 200 BTC per transaction due to 2xx.xx BTC change.
That specifically is a perfect example of a transaction that skews both "average transaction size" and "total BTC volume" metrics. I posted some ideas on how to come closer to being able to measure transaction network volume: http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3601.msg52712#msg52712

I sent 0.15 btc to a mybitcoin account two or three hours ago and it's not turned up yet.
From http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/MyBitcoin : Amounts sent to an account on MyBitcoin will be confirmed after just one block and will then show in the balance and can be spent immediately.
One block will appear, on average, in about ten minutes. You might want to verify that Block Explorer shows the transaction first.

I almost lost some, the donation address in my profile was for an old wallet on a different machine.
I'ld be interested in a service that acts as a wallet morgue. Such a service would accept for upload my old, zero-balance wallet. Should any bitcoins arrive later for any of the addresses held in that the old wallet, the morgue service provider would take a reasonable cut/fee, such as 25%, and the remaining amount would get sent to a bitcoin address I provided I uploaded the wallet. Actually I'ld be more interested in being able to import the keys from an old wallet into my current wallet. That's something on the Bitcoin roadmap I've read, so eventually this morgue concept would be made all but unnecessary I suppose.
