If there were a 'loss of confidence' in litecoin I would expect difficulty to be dropping. If anything the current state of events would indicate stronger than ever confidence in Litecoin. Consider this: Many people for a long while have only mined litecoin to convert to btc. With the exchange rates sinking there is still no shortage of hash power for litecoin. Bitcoin is doing well now and that is great for not just bitcoin but all cryptocurrency. Last i checked the prices of Litecoin vs. US Dollar have changed around 2-3%. That is fairly small or close to even and correlates with the difficulty holding up. Most large gpu mining is done for profit and sale of the coins for btc. If those who operated the farms wanted to just "baghold" litecoin or other alts for a long term investment it would be far cheaper and easier to just buy the Litecoin or other coin and sit on it. When you see the difficulty of Litecoin drop lower and stay there I think you can say people have lost confidence. Not now. Break it down for me - crypto for dummies It doesn't drop much because there is not much option to support large GPU mining operations. They can't mine BTC, they have to mine LTC as long as they can just recover the electricity cost.

I did not see this thread and send to coin-s yestarday 249.9 WDC . Other WDCs that I sent do another exchange , arrived for 1 hour ,
but this at coins-e after 24 hours already stays as pending and not confirmed so I can trade it , can withdraw it , nothing.
Besides that , I have a transfer made almost a moth ago for 120.61662652 SPT , and it also stays as not confimed .
I wrote at "contacts us" with subject assistance , and no answer.
Did I loose my coins ? Can you advice me what to do ?
The exchange function well till now , I can't belive that they simply decided to run away with people's coins.
You have lost the coins, mate. Just read through the thread and you will see thats how it works at coins-e land. I should have kept bumping this thread.

I have around 100$ worth of coins stuck there in the WDC and TRC wallet. They should just update the wallets and I believe I could get the money back. But it seems like admins escaped without taking any responsibility for people's funds.
They updated their PXC wallet but still didn't send me those 12k PXCs. Instead, they said to check my wallet I doubt anybody has their problem solved. Once you are stuck, you lose.

But PhenixEx was the only one trading SXC at that time I have refunded your 8000 SXC, because I think sex should never be a bad experience. If any of the devs want to donate a refund:S16zpr18SugJcemZQTgzWbMhwpzddnt8ic Thanks for that I saw it come in and thought these guys are now refunding. Now I see the scammers are still at large.

it is always an option, you can buy bitcoins and start trading. Sure some money can be made in trading. Some reliable trading bots now available for btc-e. I personally almost never stopped trading, once some amount mined I'm putting it into trading.
Mining and trading do not contradict each other, but rather complement.
Its not about trading. The way ASICs are going, its better to spend money to buy the bitcoins rather than buy mining equipment and electricity to mine them.

Global hashrates are calculated by the average blocktime of a set number of last blocks. This can vary widely, especially after a sudden profitability change.

It was on a bubble due to Gox announcement. Now that screwing up seems to be a routine job for Gox LTC is correcting.
I was holding LTC like a frog in a pot of water being slowly heated. The gox maintenance and the associated pump shook me out of my slumber and I sold off.

CL, cause noone likes Russian premines or Russians in general
Hold your horses. I have 2 CL I need to sell. Now I have to find my wallet. Just delete all those which keep on dropping and show minimal trades. I don't care useless coins being there, except the exchange remains sluggish all the time and most of these useless coins are just eating resources.

Anyone feel generous enough to reimburse me for the Coins-E debacle? I lost 9980 PXC because of their incompetence In theory, the coins are not lost. If I understand the situation right, Coins-E failed to update their PXC daemon before the last hard fork and sent your coins while on the wrong block chain. Once they upgraded the daemon and switched to the correct block chain, the transaction disappeared and the coins re-appeared in their wallet. If they didn't repeat the transaction or credit the coins back to your balance, it was a scam. Use Cryptsy instead. Yes, its a scam alright. I bought 12k PXCs at almost 0.25 BTC and Coins-E stole it. They actually mailed me saying to check my wallet again https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294224.0Anybody feeling generous please donate a bit.

If you trade there and lose its your own fault - you have been warned.

Bump.
Be careful while trading there. If you lose anything there you don't have any excuse now.

Most coins get to gpu pretty fast so you gotta be quick if cpu mining
The N factor changes and GPU efficiency drops after sometimes. Right now mining Copperbars with GPU is a waste.
