I don't think it's wise to sacrifice signature campaign for the sake of some scamcoin. COMM proved that community does nothing, only waiting for miracles. There were just several people who did something useful. Community without a leader - nothing.

Yesterday I watched the Fireside Chat, patiently waiting user-friendly GUI. Account term is more reasonable. You know Andreas Antonopoulos also don't like wallet term because it's confusing, he sees Bitcoin Core is like key-chain with all the private keys on it. I support "account", non-crypto environment can understand it better.
he really does says that, and makes sense because its not a wallet, you only hold the keys and the coins are in the blockchain... its seems xmr is giving another small but remarkable step in the right direction. question: will the new wallet give an option to recover/import old wallets (before the wallet seed being implemented) thank you monero team, amazing job!  How you can recover wallet without seed? It's impossible. Only if you have *.keys file. |

You know that Ubuntu is based on Debian, right ? Uses the same packages and so on...
But yes, Ubuntu has nice fancy GUI, right.
GUI does not matter. With ubuntu you will get up to date packages and don't screw yourself with stale "stable" code. It's a pain to build something successfully nowadays, especially crypto stuff on Debian. |

Oh yeah, idiots already placed buy orders for nothing. 18% of 2,000,000,000 coins will be dumped hard right after launch. Devs will be on a flight to Caribbean when miners will be able to start mining potential 1-satoshi coin. Endless story.

You can adjust diff using profitability. But if you are sure that there will be no instamine, I don't care. If I right understand, no one can mine 300 blocks with some shitty SHA ASIC in a 5 minutes, right? |

so when exactly is the launch?
Right now we're still looking at 5pm PST today. If that changes we will post immediately as soon as we know, but so far the only thing that has slipped is the soft launch which is mostly internal. Countdown timer pls? Its 7:30PM in the uk ATM I think PST is 8 hours behind the UK normally but not sure what it is in summer. Devs really got me now. PST, UK, WTF... Just use UTC for announcements and update it as soon as possible if launch delayed. |

Такой вопрос. Ранее Ivan166 говорил что на каждой добывающей машине должен быть демон. Актуально ли это утверждение на сегодняшний день? В данный момент демон установлен лишь на одной машине с воллетом. Монеты падают, на пуле отображает совокупные мощности всех машин. Пожалуйста, разъясните.
Ещё один момент. Какая зависимость команды start_mining от майнера? Что нужно сделать в первую очередь: набрать эту команду, запустить майнер, или здесь последовательность этих действий не играет никакой роли? Речь идёт о нескольких машинах.
Нужно просто забыть про start_mining и соло-майнинг на демон. Демон не нужен на каждой машине. Это было актуально несколько месяцев назад, когда не было пулов и все майнили через start_mining. |
