Bulls, could you kindly shut up please? Each time you say rally is starting it goes back for dollar or two  Grin

I think we go down to $120 again now.

I just loaded some rocket fuel, we're about to blast off to the moon!

...snip...

LOL 0,6% for GOX when you sold and 0,6% when you will buy.  ... are you sure you will make profit ?

I'll make 1 BTC.  Its not much but the stake I am playing with isn't much either.
BTW
2100(2003) btc ? ... there is no more than 11,000,000/2,100 = 5 238 people in the world with this amount.

He was talking about his 1 BTC profit and 97 BTC investment. Although 13k USD is probably still a fairly decent size to be playing the market with compared to most of the people on this sub-forum.
903  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading Log on: April 29, 2013, 08:46:30 PM
their fees are disgrace.

Don't know about you guys but I pay .3% Smiley

HOLY SHIT YOUR PENIS IS HUGE! Thanks for sharing!

You forgot the fees for buying. You get charged selling and buying.

When you buy that 98 BTC, you only get 97.412 BTC. 0.588 BTC is the fee. That assumes you are currently at 0.6%.

Decent MtGox fee calculator. http://bitcoin-fee.sbrk.org/

So you'll make .412 BTC, around $60. MtGox fees are crazy high. They reward heavy traders as you can scale down to 0.25%. https://mtgox.com/fee-schedule

Rally time!

906  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's Monday, 9am in Tokyo! Let the games begin! on: April 29, 2013, 12:41:26 PM
OMFG lol!  Cheesy

Who says to their gf/wife, "You know honey, I would like to take a video of you without your shirt on bouncing around in my car. I think it will be a hit on the internet."

Ow, my sides. XD

Volatility has never looked so good!  Grin
907  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is just the beginning of the crash. on: April 29, 2013, 12:32:07 PM
Today we saw a flash crash to 121, a dead cat bounce back to 140, followed by a steady decline back to the mid 120's. Investor confidence continues to be shattered every week the market does this. No smart money is moving in, I guarantee you no smart investors are saying "hey look what the price has been doing the last few weeks, let's put all our money into bitcoin!"

Wish there was a feature on this forum to auto ignore anyone who uses "dead cat bounce". Fastest way to spot people who have no fucking clue what they're talking about.

Do these "OMFG it's over" threads actually help push the price down? Just wait for a drop and buy back in like a normal person.
+1 I can't stand these noob idiots. They are the turds turning this place into a sceptic tank. I don't care if someone is a bear, but a couple of these late March 2013, early April 2013 guys are losers.

If you actually check out their posts, they turn into a cheerleader when they buy in. When they sell, it's doom and gloom trying to push the price down so they can get back in. There's so many more traders, more money, I can't imagine these threads actually push the market either way. When people are holding BTC it's RALLY/BULL/TO THE MOON. When they have USD it's "BTC WILL BE WORTH $0!". Just wait for a spot to buy back in like every other day trader and go easy on the forum spam.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading Log on: April 29, 2013, 12:27:09 PM
I've mined over two thousand Bitcoin and my shops have generated 97.  Mining difficulty is high and shop sales are for a fraction of a Bitcoin so to build my stake, I will try day-trading on mtgox.

This is my first attempt and just in case anyone wants to see how a newbie does in the free market, I'm posting a trading log.  I know most day-traders lose their funds so if I do so, feel free to point and laugh.

If anyone is interested, my only preparation is reading "The Disciplined Trader" by Mark Douglas from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/17639754/Douglas%2C%20Mark%20-%20The%20Disciplined%20Trader%20%281990%29%20-%20ISBN-0132157578%20%5B245%5D.pdf

Event                                                                                 BTC Balance                                                                       USD Balance
April 29 0958: Sold 97 for $138.99 each.                                    2100.00000000 BTC                                                           $13,401.13782

I now have an order for 98 BTC for $136.74 waiting to be executed but the price is over $143 .  Hopefully, I'll have something to post back here within a week or so.

Very good idea. Please keep this updated, will be fun to follow.

Totally off topic, I assume you're a fairly well off guy in his late 30s early 40s, no thoughts of cashing out your 280k and just paying off your mortgage, buying a car and chilling? I know a few miners who had 500-100-1500 BTC and the recent run to 266 was enough for them to say "it's been fun, I'm out!".

Someone please go coin dump 10-20k. This is fucking boring. I need to buy back in.  Grin
912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real crash/correction coming. on: April 26, 2013, 09:14:22 PM
It's like 2011 all over again.

If it crashes down to $50 again (it won't go lower then that, wayyyyy too much money on MtGox and wayyyy too many people believe it's worth far more then $50), lots and lots of people would make a ton of money. So, yeah I hope it does. It will probably be back right here 4 days later.

When it goes from $150 to $50 to $150 again, people make a KILLING. Lots of people want crashes, just so they can have rallies. There's no "correct" value. It's how far people dumping coins can push it down (and sucker in panic sellers). And how far people buying coins can push it up (and bring in people wanting a rally). That has nothing to do with Bitcoin's success, adoption rate, how well things are going. Enjoy it, make money off it, try not to get upset.
913  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Volatility Reduction Group (Market Makers) on: April 26, 2013, 09:10:47 PM
There are already big players who actively try to limit volatility. It's up for debate whether that's a good or bad thing.

Anywho, just realize that people are pumping up the price to sell, then dumping coins to push the price down so they can buy back in. Buy/sell along with them, you'll make plenty of money. It's pointless to fight it, I'm not even sure if you were successful it would be a good thing. You're trying to take an unregulated market, unregulated virtual currency, exchanges that are not the least bit trustworthy, and regulate them? Control them? Control the price?

MtGox has an insane amount of power in the market. We don't even know if the volume is real, the buys/sells are real, the bids/asks are real, really we can't verify anything that they tell us. Anyone reading charts, analyzing data, trying to stabilize the market, could be wasting their time because those actions assume MtGox is 100% legit, honest and telling the 100% truth. Which is highly debatable.

Accept the volatility, make money off it, you'll save yourself a lot of energy and make more money. And I doubt a "wild" market will hold back or kill Bitcoin. If Bitcoin needs a stable exchange price, then it's already fucked, because that won't ever happen. Bitcoin doesn’t need anything, except the community. That isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. At $5 or $500 Bitcoin will endure.

915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 24, 2013, 03:40:04 PM
I got crushed today, $10,000s underwater. I don't think it is fun, and don't recommend shorting bitcoin.

Buy and hold.

Vladimir knows something you don't.

Why the fuck would you short bitcoin. There's been tons of buying pressure and obvious selling pressure trying to contain it (ask walls, not actually people wanting to sell). There's been a zillion bullish indicators, if you're shorting bitcoin right now you're blind.
916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 19, 2013, 08:05:16 AM
Best dead cat bounce ever. MOAR PLEASE.
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: And now - the sucker's rally on: April 19, 2013, 07:30:55 AM
Guys,

Everything is by the book....

But then it shall drop and shall become under-valued for a while - let's say 10$ ??

GotBitCoins

The book says $10? Burn the fucking book dude. There is no book. Forget the charts. No one has a clue where this is going. You can predict 15k coin dumps? Rich people blowing 500k on coins?

Enjoy the ride, stop trying to figure it out, it's not working.
918  Economy / Speculation / Re: This will go down as the largest shakedown in Bitcoin HISTORY on: April 19, 2013, 06:50:30 AM
No One wanted to listen

Market has been awesome the last week. If you're not making money off this, you're doing it wrong.
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: The only thing more volatile than BTC are the opinions in this forum on: April 19, 2013, 06:44:48 AM
It will not matter since this forum will not be around when Bitcoin crashes to zero tomorrow.

Go to bed Dad, you're fucking drunk.
920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: April 19, 2013, 06:43:27 AM
Damn that ask wall at $125 got his ass kicked. News flash, get the fuck out of the way, these buyers are not joking.
