901  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will control the world economy!!!!! is it true? on: October 26, 2017, 11:12:33 AM
Some media shows that bitcoin can be the next weapon to control the world economy. i think it is true and it will be seen soon.
Controlling is bit harsh or ambitious way to put the bitcoin use. It is better to assume that in future world economy will be centered around bitcoin and its backend technology like blockchain. As far as dominance is concerned then bitcoin is bit easy to control or manipulate if a company has deep deep pockets to accumulate the huge chunk of bitcoin. Any example, recently biggest drop in the bitcoin market was direct result of JPMorgan chief warning, threatening people against bitcoin. From the 5k dollars bitcoin dropped to 32k dollars.
Bitcoin in its current format has strongest and evolutionary way of transfer of money or value from one to other. Sooner or later bitcoin or at least the vision being the bitcoin, crypto currency from the Satoshi will rule the economy.
To date, Bitcoin is becoming very popular among very rich people. First of all, this is due to the fact that as offshore companies are closed in other countries, it is nowhere to hide their illegally earned funds. and in this situation they will receive help from the crypto currency, which by its anonymity will help to hide their incomes.

There are good and bad in the side of blockchain technology which gives people advantage to hide their wealth. I think for the world economy its the same because people can control their money specially if you invest today because of the trend of the bitcoin which rise up to $6000+ and make a big profit in which people are unknown to the world. Hope that bitcoin can be use in a good way for the cashless technology which will be the future of the monetary in the world.  Cool
902  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: October 26, 2017, 09:28:21 AM
I am not sure if Bitcoin will change the distribution of wealth in the world, but I am almost sure that its helping so many people around the world financially, and that its making new rich people daily almost. Its at least a way for the poorest people and the unemployed to earn their living and make an income from working online with Bitcoin.

Till now, since bitcoin is still growing and not all country are using it, the wealth of a certain country would not be affected because not all the sectors are involve in the blockchain technology. But for the whole world to have a great distribution of money, it would involve not just a great project from ICO Project because they are all being traded and it is uncertain if where the money really goes because using a blockchain technology have a anonymous addresses that can't be trace.

904  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Gold is Forking Off on: October 25, 2017, 04:49:11 PM
I doubt that BCG would be worth anything a week after its release. What's troubling me is that all these constant forks could erode trust or further confuse people who are just starting to hear of bitcoins. I just hope this is not some underhanded move from the Chinese government.

I think this fork will just need time because like BCC and other altcoins which are dump already because of the upcoming BTG. Hope the segwit2x will make other currency balance with bitcoin until the end of the fork.
905  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Jack Ma's Talk at DLSU about Blockchain Techonology and Bitcoin on: October 25, 2017, 04:36:50 PM

Nagbanggit nya ang Blockchain Techonology and Bitcoin. At ito ang kanyang mga sinabi:

"I'm a believer in blockchain technology... We're investing in that. Bitcoin, I'm not into that. We should make Philippines a cashless society. If we are cashless, no corruption. Life is easier."

Anong masasabi nyo doon sa kanyang talk about Blockchain and Bitcoin?

Corruption will always be there. Kahit nman maging cashless society ay lalong mahihirapan matrace ang mga transactions kung saan binato ang pero. Although technology is good enough but the use of it from good and bad are still present. Hope blockchain technology will also surpass the corruption. Dito na magsisimula ang blockchain sa Pilipinas.
906  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 25, 2017, 03:26:03 PM
The use of direct transactions with paper money continues to decline, we can see that payments on toll roads, hospitals, hotels, restaurants to online shopping do not use paper money, it makes me believe that the future of paper money will soon disappear.

I agree with you. Just like today, people using credit cards instead of paper money. Bill are already paid thru online payments which banks also provided with the partnership of the goverment. I think the future of paper money will be obselite in the future because of this. Paper money will be antique in the future so spare some of it. It will become a token of the past.😁
907  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: October 25, 2017, 12:56:17 PM
I do not know, because I am also confused with this question. But if I see bitcoin is able to improved a person's economy,or but for a county I still have not found anything that can make sure I think by day by day it will be large position also be improved by day by day, because now a day it will grow up some.

Yes.Many people involved in bitcoin now. Many people quite their real Job and involved in bitcoin now. Since they get income from bitcoin, their life is depend on bitcoin .Hence the bitcoin involved in the development of country .Many people inverse Their salary in bitcoin to get profit from it.
Only because the economy of a person has improved because he makes now money with bitcoin doesn't necessarily mean that the economy of that country has improved as well.

And if people win money from trading bitcoin, then other traders or other people has lost that money. So this is basically a transfer from the fiat money to the bitcoin system and this also doesn't mean that the economy of a country has improved.

To see if the economy of a country has improved because of bitcoin, we need to see the whole numbers before and now?
There is no such thing as an improvement of an "economy of a person" maybe what you mean is the improvement of his or her financial status. To measure the economy you must look at the micro and macro factors that involve the growth of a country in terms of wealth and resources. Now if many people are paying with Bitcoin especially the tourist you know that it is helping increase the wealth of a country.

I think paying through bitcoin would not help the country specially tourist because here in our country, tourist go to places with no internets and people dont know about bitcoin. They only know cash for their daily needs thats why I think it cant help to the economy if bitcoin will be a factor in the economy of the country.
908  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 25, 2017, 12:18:09 PM
Ok lng po ba na ilagay ko ung TIN # or SSS # sa verification ng coins.ph? Secure ba talaga ang coins.ph?

Wag mo na i provide, baka ma report ka lang sa BIR kapag malaki ang cashout mo. Madali kapa mtrace for tax evasion.

909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Bitcoin Gold, hard fork, and BTC on: October 25, 2017, 05:15:21 AM
so are we getting bitcoin gold from blockchain.info or not? i guess we wont know until they let us know. Also my btc is in blockchain.info wallet right now, if i switch the over to electrum wallet will i still get the bitcoin gold from blockchain.info ?

Pretty sure they'll do it just like they did it with Bitcoin Cash, which is they'll automatically make it available to you.

Though I didn't receive my BCC from my blockchain.info wallet because I only put my bitcoin last week of August, they have some notification at the upper right corner that if you have a bitcoin at your wallet, you will receive a BCC.
I think i was not really hidden, they have just a late notification because they want to make that BCC works fine with the platform.

911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin ATMs? on: October 24, 2017, 01:36:52 PM
I used one when traveling because I knew about it and just wanted to try it.
I already knew about the astoundingly high fees and for that reason I would never use it again. The fees are ridiculous, so I just used it for the experience, which wasn't bad.

Yet there aren't many people who know about Bitcoin and they need to cover their expenses somehow, it's not like they can do anything else.
Otherwise I agree with the idea and I find Bitcoin ATMs very convenient, but as I said they should have reasonable fees. The one I used was around 15-20%.

That was a big hell of a fee for an ATM machine. I think they should have a fix fee for this kind of transactions which are evidently useful to every bitcoiners around the world.  It would be nice if other altcoin will be available on it rather than trading from people to people.
912  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: October 24, 2017, 01:05:44 PM
I don't think that banks will be elliminated, there are still services that only banks can offer to their clients. I think that banks will only adopt what bitcoins are doing but elliminating them is i think not possible.

To think that they are copying all the ideas just like the blockchain. Bank transactions also have their online service which I think is more reliable because of the histories of withdrawals unlike with blockchain which make people anonymous in their transactions. Banks securities are i think are more reliable because there's a small risk on it unlike the cryptocurrency.
913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a political coin on: October 23, 2017, 03:34:53 PM
We have been experiencing lots of up n down , contradictions on bitcoin scaling solution  .. even Dev teams are not united , forget about miners, in addition big whales hv their own gang and their positions on fork , or pre/post fork ..

do you think Bitcoin is victim of bad politics or became a political coin .. ?

Corruption is the proof. People are fighting for it, not developing bitcoin because of its price today. Many are being driven to control its position specially in the government sectors. Bitcoin i think will not be the victim of it but people with greed towards money will destroy everything.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can help for working abroad specially OFW on: October 23, 2017, 10:04:48 AM
Bitcoin can help Filipino's not to work abroad anymore.  Grin

Just like other said here, it is not recommended to earn from faucets because only working at the forum, you can earn more than your salary from abroad specially the non professional if you only have eagerness to learn from the forum. Read, learn and explore is the secret here.

For extra income for our OFW families, it would make a big help too specially for transferring money country to country no matter where you are just a browse away in your mobile phones.

919  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin regaining dominance. on: October 22, 2017, 02:52:34 PM
Apart from reaching a new ATH, bitcoin is also regaining dominance vs other alts. It was halved between March and June and bitcoin has been slowly regaining it but lately seems to have received a boost.

http://i64.tinypic.com/dh4xx.jpg

Source: (https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage)

Any ideas about why this is happening?

IT might be because that people are now starting to believe in bitcoin in a way that it is becoming more palatable than other cryptocurrencies just because of its longevity and that it is still higher than some of the other currencies. It might also be that the influence and popularity of bitcoin is spreading.

I think the hype of the fork is coming into effect.  The news about Bitcoin Gold and the value or profit that a bitcoin holder can take once fork is done.  Probably greed is driving Bitcoin market upward since more bitcoin means more coins on the forked chain which means a profit for them.
Yes, exact same thing that happened during the Bitcoin Cash fork.

On top of that the crypto market is getting bigger since Bitcoin is in the news almost every day now.

This could be a major pump after the fork or a dump. Although bitcoin cash fork was made, does it become reliable? Does it improve? What will happen after bitcoin gold? People are still sticking to bitcoin because many investors are buying bitcoin because of its known popularity today. Many people are still asking, what is bitcoin?  I think crypto market will still rise in the future
920  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin regaining dominance. on: October 22, 2017, 09:35:09 AM
I think that what is happening is a simple economics. I was taught in economics that once you have either fear or nostalgic feeling in market or product, it either help to push the popularity of the product positively or negatively .

Thus, in this light, whatever is happening is supporting bitcoin to continue the bullish movement and we know or have speculated (maybe rightly) that the incoming fork is responsible for this. This is causing holders to hold tightly and not to release nor sell because they expect some bonus in their wallet.

Again, because people are not selling, it then means few that are willing to sell will do that at a higher rate, meaning many users chasing few bitcoin available.
This theory is however anchored on one of the economics theories - 'the higher the demand, the higher the price'.
It's mostly because of the upcoming fork and the expectation of free money like during the last one.

I agree that this is the reason why bitcoin is very popular right now. People heard about the Bitcoin cash fork, maybe missed out on it, and now want to make sure they don't fall behind on the trend.

Along with that, however, Bitcoin has had the strongest growth so far. That has to be an aspect of the interest as well.
Obviously interest in Bitcoin is rising. But the fact that pretty much all altcoins are going down is mostly attributed to the fork. Pretty sure Bitcoin will go down a little and then keep doing its thing after the fork, while altcoins will start rising again once Bitcoin Gold has been dumped into oblivion.

No, bitcoin will never be abandoned and forgotten. It is always taken care of and will be forever. With the constant amount of bitcoin currency, the increased demand for its value keeps increasing, I do not see any impact that can affect the value of bitcoin at the moment.
I meant Bitcoin Gold will be dumped into oblivion. Not Bitcoin. Bitcoin itself will be safe for quite a while, but definitely not forever. It just happens to be the first of its kind, but it's going to have a hard time keeping up progress forever due to how strongly centralized it is by large mining operations.

Correct, being bullish of bitcoin is not forever. If the popularity of it reaches its peak, I think the market will be stable. After the fork, Im sure that bitcoin will be dump because many of them will be returning to altcoins or the other way.
