Even I have at least 1 GT in every round which makes me feel I am still a part of the round and I still have a chance to win.
Fun fact is that I never know when and how I got the GT but in every round it's there sitting in my account making me feel happy.
I don't play much and so I don't think it would be the wagering, not sure though.

On the one hand, if any of us look at our win chances in the current round of the Lambo lottery, we will realize that it's extremely difficult to win the Lambo. On the other hand, we all know that one lucky guy with just one lottery ticket once managed to win the top 1 prize in the weekly lottery. Honestly, that case still gives some hope that one day someone will be lucky enough to win the Lambo lottery with just one golden ticket.

The regular lottery and GT lottery are two different stories I think. There is no way anyone would ever win the GT with just single ticket. GT draw seems to be based on entirely different algorithm for sure. In case of lottery the prize is also way less, it’s also pot based and lottery tickets are very cheap. I think this also creates it easy to enter contest. Plus you are getting free lottery tickets for most of the free roll actions on the freebitcoin.  However, GT is something big, literally no comparison. More premium kinda lottery and you definitely gotta need insane luck to win with just one.

Well, although the probability might be less but there are still chances that a person holding just 1 GT might actually win the round.
Note that in every round only one ticket is winning the lottery and so it means if we have just 1 ticket then we are as capable to win the round as any other person.

Once you've clicked on the green button "FUN SAVINGS WITH 25% APY", you should get a pop-up where the amount of FUN tokens you want to lock is requested. You will just need to choose the duration of the investment after that, before confirming. You should note that your funds won't be available anymore before the end of the lock duration.

Thanks but as mentioned in my edited post, I had already found out the option to lock my FUN tokens.
It's just that the confirm button was not displayed when I tried to lock the tokens and later it was appearing.

I've heard a lot about the potential of Bitcoin as a store of value. Can someone explain how its scarcity and decentralized nature contribute to its value proposition?

Just look at the chart below and you will find out how the scarcity of bitcoin contributes to it's value proposition.
After every halving the bitcoin becomes more scarce and it becomes more tough to mine more bitcoin.
This eventually increases bitcoin price and value.

903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency. on: August 05, 2023, 10:52:42 AM
I was reading and I saw something that I would have agreed with before, but not anymore because of how much things have changed in the crypto gambling.

Quote
Faster and more secure transactions: Crypto transactions are processed much faster than traditional bank transfers, and they are also more secure.

Anonymity: Crypto casinos allow players to remain anonymous, which is appealing to some players.

Wider variety of games: Crypto casinos offer a wider variety of games than traditional online casinos.

More generous bonuses: Crypto casinos often offer more generous bonuses than traditional online casinos.

https://indiacsr.in/what-is-a-crypto-casino-meaning-advantages-and-potential-risks-explained/

Because of KYC verification which is now done by most crypto casino to know the people who gamble on their casino, I think anonymity is no longer a benefit of gambling with cryptocurrency in crypto casino.

Am i wrong to think that this information on the internet needs to be updated.

While you are right at your point but unlike exchanges, there are still few reputable casinos left which do not need KYC details.
At least upto a certain limit they won't ask for KYC details for gambling on their platform.
For the time being, anonymity is still a benefit in gambling.

Can someone tell me why I am not getting the option to lock my FUN tokens ?
I searched for the option everywhere on the site but didn't find it.
Earlier it was present with the Buy/Sell button but it's missing from the dropdown now.

Can someone tell me why I am not getting the option to lock my FUN tokens ?
Click on the green button.

Thanks. But I had already tried clicking on green button but it didn't show me the confirm button.
I tried it again and now it worked.
905  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Pig Butchering Scam! on: August 05, 2023, 09:53:48 AM

It involves tricking individuals into sending their cryptocurrencies to scammers who promise high returns or investments with guaranteed profits. The name "pig butchering" comes from an analogy scammers use to convince victims to participate. They claim that just like a butcher would divide a pig into different parts, they can divide and multiply the cryptocurrencies sent to them, promising significant returns in a short period.

How it is done?

This scam operates on a classic Ponzi scheme principle, where early investors may receive returns to create a false sense of legitimacy. These returns are typically funded by the investments of subsequent victims, creating a cycle of deception. Scammers often use tactics to lure people into the scheme, such as social media promotions, online forums, or personal recommendations. They may present themselves as experienced traders or cryptocurrency experts, leveraging persuasive techniques to build trust. Once victims send their cryptocurrencies to the scammers' wallets, they quickly realize that the promised returns are nothing but empty promises. In most cases, the scammers disappear with the funds, leaving victims with significant financial losses.
<snip>
It seems that your thread somehow lacks some specific and vital details about the term "Pig Butchering Scam". Honestly this is my first time hearing that term, but I'm glad you embedded a link an article related to that scam.

It is specified in the article that the scammer works by trying to establish an emotional connection with the victim, posing as a 'lover' or 'friend.' Over time, the scammer will attempt to convince the victim to invest in a platform they control (although this may vary), promising returns to strengthen trust and potentially encouraging the victim to invest more. Eventually, the scammer will steal the funds and provide multiple excuses.

The term was new to me; however, the concept of the scam is familiar is familiar to me as I recently watched local videos about it.

This is what I was looking for because something was missing in OP and it looked just like HYIP ponzi scheme.
But you mentioned makes sense now since there are people on Telegram who keep doing this.
I have myself encountered people posing as a friend and few girls who talk very nicely at beginning and then tries to convince us to invest in their platforms.
Obviously I was aware of not investing in HYIP and so I didn't fall for any of them but I wonder how many others would have easily fell for this.

...

I can say the same for RPs and lottery tickets but I know for sure 100% of my tickets in Lambo draw where they come from (wager on multiply btc lol). I take my wagering very seriously hehe

The only way you can get them if you don't wager is if you win WoF, unless you bet on sports or Bitcoin price maybe? Those bets also count Smiley

snip

Same here, who will count RP's and lottery tickets, but my GTs came from wagering, I didn't win a Golden ticket from free WoF for a while.

snip

I guess we still have a lot of time for getting a few more tickets. Smiley

I have won GT from WoF spins few times. I also place bet on price prediction so may be that does count towards wagering.
While most of the times I have 1 GT in every round, sometimes there are 2 tickets so may be the wagering would have crossed 0.005 BTC.
But eventually it all goes in vain because I never win any of these lotteries and lambo draws.
907  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Responsibilities of hierarchy in the forum on: August 04, 2023, 04:42:44 PM
For quite sometime due to external factors I left and wasn't following in the forum only to see a post that talked about newbies posting thing they have no idea about! The simple salient question I have to all high ranked members is how are we encouraging learning in this platform...I'm not fighting anyone I want to know...who should be blamed also ...the newbies? Or the person who shared link for registration to them and didn't enlighten them of the modus operandi of the group?
I think this should be balanced by lashing newbies who hurry into posting irrelevant things and members as well as higher rankers who just abandon their invitees at the point of entry
Most of the times I wonder if our post are read because I've shared link of the rules of the group most times here but I don't think it's noticed or something this should be one of the ways this unnecessary post by newbies can be reduced while learning and important contributions remain the upheld norms/functions in this platform/forum

I hope this comes to you well!

At some point of time, many of us would have been in the same position as those newbies. We all had a beginning similar to many newbies and so I think we should just avoid it.
They do post in hurry sometimes without bothering to search for existing threads and that annoys many people but as they spend more time they learn the ways things are in this forum.
It's just about time and how mature one is to seek the knowledge they desire. The wise newbies do search for threads before posting and their posts do sound like genuine queries.
But not all can have the same approach and so just leave them for they are because as time goes they will know how it has to be in here.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 04, 2023, 04:32:25 PM
I noticed that when I start to play games like keno, limbo, dice, etc. First some bets don't hit and after wagering some percentage of my balance it starts to hit,
How it works? like when we wager we have more probability to hit win, anyone noticed this? Do you know how it works and what is the calculation behind it?, do server sends outcomes by checking our wager?
My own understanding of your statement is that the casino determine the outcome of a bet and you have more chances of winning when you wager your bet, I don't think that's possible because the outcome of gambling predictions are always determined by skills, strategies and luck and I don't think there's an interrelationship between the outcome of different bets, because the various outcomes can be determined by luck or your skills, and not the server.
Sometimes what you believe on works for you and that belief might attract goodluck and make you successful sometimes, according to your statement I've notice that you indirectly have a believe in wagering your bets and it works sometimes for you, this is not something that happens in general because some people might try this method and be unsuccessful but I work for you cause that's what you believe on therefore if you add some good skills to your believe you might be very lucky to win a jackpot someday.
Truth is that the higher your wagering the higher your chances of losing the bets and that is why most gamblers prefer to wager less since the chance of winning are limited with multiple wagering,  and for that, we must have to state categorically that wagering has nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

But more also we have to be clear that wagering in multiple times reduces your chances of winning since there is no guarantee of repeated winning

While that is true I personally think this fact holds true when betting continuously for a longer time.
But if we take casual breaks in between then it breaks the streak and the next time when we return lets say a day later or two, then we get better results.
I have observed this happening multiple times which is why I tend to breaks inbetween and get better returns.
909  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 04, 2023, 04:26:37 PM
Believe in yourself Wink People have won the weekly lottery with even more incredible odds (1 ticket winner, remember?) so 1 ticket in Lambo is much higher possibility.

I guess everyone knows the joke (I'm sure there is one in every corner of the earth in some form) about the man who prayed and cried to God every day to win the lottery... one time God came to him and said "So buy a ticket". Smiley

I can't remember the last time I won GT from daily free WoF... but for now, I have 7 from playing. I think someone already suggested some "wagering counter", it would be awesome to see that! It would be nice if we could track our progress to the next GT.
Lol, I have never heard of that before, that's actually pretty funny and also very right about freebitco.in as well. Every single week I have some tickets, and every single GT time I have at least one, I usually have more but I had one where I had just one ticket as well. That is just the right way to approach this and I believe that it should be considered to be the way you should make this work.

Doesn't mean that you are going to end up winning, it just means that you are going to end up with a situation where we are not going to see it change anytime soon. If it does, then we are going to see a big increase in ticket selling and I do not think that more tickets means more chances, so have at least one, but that's about it for importance, rest is preference.

910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending on Harlots/Hook Up Girls Instead of Investing in Bitcoin. on: August 03, 2023, 04:58:42 PM
The topic is so funny but deeply looking at it there is sense. There are some people in the society that want to invest in bitcoin and saying it to your hearing sometimes but they don't have money to invest, but you see those guys changing women every week like the way we change cloths in the week. Why can't they used that money given to the women just to satisfy themselves for five minutes or one night stand to invest in Bitcoin so that anytime when bitcoin rise they can see profit from the money.

Though to satisfying the body is good but that is mainly meant for married women and men. If you carry 2 or 3 girls in a week, you will spend a lot of money that you can use to top up your wallet. And one thing we all know about women is once you have exhausted your money they will not come again. They are coming because of the money so earlier is the best, if you are in this forum and still carrying women to your bed and hotel rooms, you have to refrain from it and use the money to invest in Bitcoin. To be a rich man you have to discipline yourself. I have heard some guys saying that "testing them will make you to know the right one to marry" my brothers that is not true, good woman is a good woman by their character we shall know them and not by bed and hotel rooms.

Lol, they can also do one thing. Invest the money they spend on hookers in bitcoin and get profits and then use those profits to sleep with hookers.
At least they can sleep with hookers at lower frequency while still being invested in bitcoin.  Grin Grin
On a serious note, I don't think one has to sleep with a hooker to know which women to marry.
The right one will come at the right time and it will just happen.
911  Local / India / Re: Uber shines light on acceptance of bitcoin on: August 03, 2023, 03:27:47 PM
That is great news from Uber as it is available in all big and small economy countries. I doubt they would be able to accept Bitcoin in India. There are two reasons behind it, the first Indian government and the second Uber Indian drivers. It seems now days they are asking more money than what Uber app is asking. I have recently shifted to Rapido from Uber & Ola as I found them better.

Oh yes ! I didn't face it with Uber but damn these Ola drivers keep asking for more money than the estimated fare.
Also, I see this happening in selective cities only. Not all cities are facing this issue though.
The amount they ask is at least 20% of the estimate fare which is insane.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 03, 2023, 03:25:00 PM
The logic behind this betting method isn't complex at all. You bet $2 on x2 and on the next bet you sum +1 to the bet amount and it looks something like this:

Code:
$2 - x2
$3 - x3
$4 - x4
$5 - x5
...
$10,000 - x10,000

I know, in the example looks like a lot of money to bet, but now think about starting from 0.00000002 BTC or better known as 2 satoshis, with increments of 1 satoshi, you can be betting in the long run with 0.001 btc.

To do this I hire a guy to make a betting bot for a casino, and is looking good, is really hard to find a losing run with it.

So, what do you think about this betting method, Has someone tried it in the past?

So no matter you win or lose the bet you still increase the bet by 1 is it ?
I think the amount you lose will keep increasing using this strategy.
Once the losing streak starts the bet amount will keep increasing thus losing more money.
Besides that, since the odds are increase the probability of losing streak will become higher with every bet.
But it's not bad to try out different strategies and so keep us posted with the results.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: August 03, 2023, 03:19:25 PM
When it comes about getting updates, football being the most recognized and populous fans sport in the world, it is very easy to get updates from people around us about football than when we play other games and bet sports and games that are not common, but in football, we can easily get the best updates going and use any of the informations received to bet base on how we understand the formation of the info received since football is very common unlike other sports.

What you are saying to an extent is correct if you are surrounded by people who are into football. In my country people are crazy about cricket and the local media does keep us updated. Apart from cricket, football does intrest me but it is not easy for me to keep a track of all leagues. That is why I follow only one league and place bet on matches where I feel confident. In case of cricket I am not selective or saturated to one league. I am following multiple league as I am more updated due to my surroundings.

I am a fan of football myself but I don't really follow many leagues but only the major ones.
I think getting updates on any sport has become very easy these days since there are sites out there which do these jobs.
Especially doing live matches, there are sites which gives live updates and so I think getting updates for matches which are not live yet should be fairly easy.

I don't think so. Most reputable casino sites that we use these days does not link our bets with previous ones.
Most of these sites use the provably fair algorithm which shows that every bet is individual and wagering does not have any affect on our bets.
You should keep analyzing over the next few weeks and see if you can observe a pattern and then share with us in case you do.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: August 02, 2023, 02:38:33 PM
They obviously do have such tools to monitor everything happening, running a business is not a joke, you can't just let your business go bankrupt only because a player in your casino got a big win, they have everything planned so that it doesn't happen, and as you said, they would never have a reward as big as their bankroll or higher than it, even the highest jackpot one can hit in a casino is way lower than the total bankroll of the casino that they use to reward the players.

So a casino that is well-built, everything is planned and there is very good management, can never go bankrupt because of the fact that a player or multiple players won big rewards, it might happen if there is a breach in the system and some hackers or exploiters steal their money some way.

Yes ofcourse, but I won't deny the fact that there are casino sites who gives huge rewards/bonuses to their users or so as they portray.
But the reality is that after one point, they make a classic exit scam just to let the users know that all of it was a trap for them.
We have already seen hundreds of such cases where users have lost money by casino sites luring them with huge bonuses.
No matter how big rewards they give to their players, they always make sure that the rewards are according to their bankroll and they have algorithms to make sure that the games don't give out rewards as big as the bankroll itself, and the algorithms also make sure that the players don't be able to make bets so big that can win an amount bigger than the bankroll, that is the reason why most casinos have a limit for the max bet at certain games.

Also, they are monitoring everything 24/7, so whenever something goes wrong, they act quickly so that the platform don't face a lot of problems, whether it's a bug or a system error that is giving more money than a player should get for a certain win, so that the players don't abuse the system.

Yesterday I saw a clear example of this while playing slot machines at Stake website and there were a lot of people playing there from what I was chatting with other people in the chat, also exchanging ideas what slots to play. Most of the players were blaming their bad luck for their big lost amounts while after a certain time some guy hit that max win of x10.000 in a well known slot.We all congratulated him and he send to us generous tips because his bet was really big and he won a lot of money.

This example to say that no matter how big someone wins there will be 99 others losing which would consist of the casino getting profit and as such the casino, the reputable one can never go bankrupt from such things.

That is actually a good point and acts a catalyst to my previous post. The casino sites make sure of this that their bankroll is always in positive.
As you said, when there's one person winning there are 99 others who are losing which eventually makes the casino site in profits.
So basically the casino cannot go bankrupt because of a single person winning big.
916  Local / India / Uber shines light on acceptance of bitcoin on: August 02, 2023, 02:01:24 PM
I was scrolling through Instagram when I noticed a post saying that the CEO of Uber has made an announcement that it will start accepting bitcoin as a payment.
This is a huge news because accepting bitcoin as a payment from such big companies will boost bitcoin adoption.
Although they have not mentioned any timeline as of when they are going to start accepting bitcoin but they are determined with their decision.

Uber runs across various countries including India and so we will have to wait and see how they are dealing with the regulations in various countries.
This will become a major challenge for them because crypto is not a legal tender in India and many other countries where Uber is used.
Although the news is good but we haven't seen any impact of this news on BTC price. So either people are not aware of it yet or may be there's something that I am missing.

Did you notice that the engagement in our local board is gradually growing especially since Jan 2023 we were at the rock bottom of local boards now climbed back to 4th from bottom since Jan 2020 the place we used to be?

That's interesting. I guess @pakhitheboss and his post was the trigger because it was only after his post that people started engaging more in the Indian local board. It might also be a coincidence but you never know.

Quote
How do you see this growth?

What are the things that contributed to this growth?

What else we can do, to keep up this?

Something is better than nothing which is why the growth we are seeing today is a positive sign for us to keep contributing in this board.
Keep posting interesting topics to discuss and that is how we can ensure further growth.
918  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: August 02, 2023, 11:07:18 AM
Did anyone noticed India's digital INR doesn't have the face of Gandhi. The opposition did not even look into this while the ruling party is quietly changing everything. With the national currency.

We can't expect anything more if we have leaders such as

Finance minister - with no knowledge about finance
RBI Governor - Who will agree to whatever the central government says
Prime Minister -  Who never address people's struggle

And the list goes on indefinitely. Cry

I won't say that our current ministers are not competent enough to hold such governing position. The might not be as interested in our domain as they are in other. In just 10 years time India has become an economic giant. They might have committed mistakes but we can't ignore the fact that our country has developed a lot from what it used to be earlier. I am wating for the G20 meeting to start as a lot of confusion in our domain would be clear. There are an indication that a global regulation might come up in the meeting.

Can't disagree with this. India has become better in so many things in the last 10 years and has achieved many things which Congress wasn't able to.
I won't say that the current PM is the best but from my perspective he is still far better than any of the previous ones.
We cannot ignore what he has done for the country and it's just that we would need to stay patient for the time being while things are not in place for Indian crypto community.
Our time will surely come and we just have to be ready for that.
919  Local / India / Re: Supreme Court Grants Bail To Man Booked For Cryptocurrency Fraud on: July 31, 2023, 04:08:45 PM
This is really good news but the answer will be most likely we are working on it then it will be buried.

I was expecting that as an answer from you. Grin

Sometimes being positive is all we need to make us happy. I had a positive mindset and your reply made it negative. I know nothing would happen as Supreme Court can only ask and the government can snub them or not reply at all. For once this issue got the media attention. As a Bitcoin community member, it made me happy to see the Supreme Court asking a genuine question from the government. The reason was simple the monsoon session of parliament was in progress. I was expecting the leftover opposition would ask the government about it. Which was too much for me to expect from any opposition political party.  Roll Eyes

Even I have read somewhere that Supreme Court is "pushing" the Indian government to create proper regulations.
If the Supreme Court has taken this initiative then I think it will keep following up with the government until regulations are in place.
Once that is done I think we will have a better situation for the Indian crypto community. I hope the 30% flat tax decreases soon.

Hello Everyone;

As per my understanding, the lighting network adds a feature where you a payment channel between to individuals where nothing is transacted until the payment channel is closed. This is to reduce the fees on individuals and number of transactions on the blockchain.

I know you can run a BTC node by running the original Bitcoin wallet. So I assume the BTC lightning network is on the blockchain.

Since if it is not that would be a vulnerability.

Thankful for any info.

You can't say nothing is transacted because the transactions are done but on layer 2. Lightning network is a layer 2 solution to make fast and cheap transactions.
Yes, opening and closing a lightning channel requires us to make a transaction on the bitcoin blockchain and all the rest of the transactions are on layer 2.
When you close the channel the final settlement is done between the addresses with the final transaction being recorded on the bitcoin ledger.
