Right now you should be exiting your positions not taking new ones, it's too risky, don't let FOMO set in and save your money for new opportunities.

If you don't already profit from this bull run don't worry, there's going to be another. Cheesy
923  Economy / Economics / Re: Nobody Can Have Benefit From a Big Pump on: May 02, 2017, 08:38:10 AM
If Bitcoin price pumps from $1300 to $3000 in few hours, nobody would make profit from it, because the exchanges wouldn't allow you to sell your Bitcoins and make the fast profit, it would bring a big loss for exchange sites.

Do you agree with this?

Bitcoin can only go to $3000 if it is actively traded in exchanges, how else would it go to $3000?

Exchanges business is to enable exchange, why wouldn't they allow exchange and how would they lose?
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone NOT made profit in this astonishing bull run?? on: April 28, 2017, 08:57:16 AM
My belly is full of profit. I have done nothing but hodl some alts (and of course BTC). All my losses are wiped out.

Has anyone NOT made profit during this bullish 18 month boost from $8bn to over $30bn total crypto market cap??

Some say it was always going to happen, but it's still astonishing to me.

Indeed, it is really hard to lose money with this kind of market. Cheesy

I realizing profits now, exiting positions in some altcoins.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All Altcoins near ATH? ...nothing to trade/invest!? on: April 27, 2017, 08:57:46 AM
It's time to close positions, not open new ones, everything on green has to go. Cheesy

Already sold MAID some time ago, today sold Lisk, gonna dump Stellar and OMNI.

Nothing new, proof of burn has been described long ago.

927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deuscoin - Does someone come along every day and make a 25-30BTC purchase? on: April 26, 2017, 01:01:47 PM
It's a scam, you should stay away from those kind of schemes otherwise you'll probably lose your money.

'100% premined', 'ICO', clone with nothing new to offer, these should raise enough flags for people to stay away from it.
928  Economy / Economics / Re: lest we forget, Bitcoin is a blessing. on: April 24, 2017, 10:25:54 PM
Bitcoin has pass through many stage, limitations, attack and forks issue but its price keep on increasing from inception till now. At this time Last year bitcoin price was $450 but today it is $1245 that was over 180% increment in just a year. This is what we call blessing, that is making progress in the face of strong opposition!!

What kind of opposition are talking about?

Except for 2014, it has always been a bull market with exponential growth...
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Segwit is over 70% on: April 24, 2017, 01:02:34 PM
More 1346 blocks signaling SegWit and it gets "locked_in" status in this activation period, we can get can SegWit activated in the next 18 days or so.

Hodl your hands!
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Putting All In on: April 24, 2017, 12:54:50 PM
So I've got very very small percentage of profits from my quick trades so far at poloniex, as the amount I put in was not that big enough to the profit margin obviously wasn't great either. I've been into trading for less than a month so just learning the art as well.
But now I'm thinking of going all in and putting all of my bitcoin(not very big amount) in one of the coins for a longer time so I can get bigger returns.
I'm thinking Ripple and Monero as my two options, what do you guys think? Which one should I choose?
Which one of these has good prospects? Not looking for a quick trade and not a too long one either like 6 months or a year.
So do you see any one of these, especially where they are right now, giving me 25-50% profit in a couple of months?

Like you said, you've been at it for one month, if you haven't lost a few tens of thousand in crypto you haven't learn any lessons.

Your plan doesn't seem solid and your chosen coins even less, look at projects who aren't already pumped, you may find some that will perform better than bitcoin in the next 12 months, but it will also be a gamble.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: April 24, 2017, 12:48:44 PM
Wow Storj receive 3 mln dollars and want to sell tokens more. Wth really.. They have enough money right now for development...... Or they just want to have bigger sallary

ICO is the worst move from such solid team..

Remember of Amp ico on 30k sats.. now price 3x less....

Don't compare Storj with Synereo, Storj has a functioning product and years of proven competence, Synereo is a mess with nothing to show.
932  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BTCFees.com on: April 24, 2017, 10:47:56 AM
It's quite worthless, besides you can get better keywords "bitcoin fees" with other available extensions.

933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before you begin trading read this! on: April 24, 2017, 10:27:53 AM
You took positions when value was too high, there's no good reason for you to be losing on ETH, ETH's value increased a lot in the last 2 months or so, same for DASH, LISK.

You're buying at the top, don't be afraid of losing the train, there's always another one coming.

934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have my pockets full of LTC and my home boys do too! on: April 24, 2017, 10:16:27 AM
what are these features? i keep hearing this about new features, but none seems to know, it's like they are making this up to pump the value

Take a look at the link below. It describes some of the new features SegWit will bring to LTC. The letter was written to miners by Charlie Lee not too long ago.

https://www.reddit.com/r/litecoin/comments/63cgfc/my_letter_to_chinese_miners_and_pool_operators_on/

so one fix is malleability issue, i wasn't aware that litecoin has this issue too, litecoin is not accepted like  bitcoin from merchants, so why they need this? confidential transactions sound interesting, it make bitcoin and litecoin both more anonymous without having the ring signature of monero or zero proof of zcash, this is a nice feature

Litecoin is a bitcoin clone with minor changes, instead of SHA-256 it uses scrypt and 4x coin supply, that's it.

Everything bitcoin has, litecoin also has.

Malleability fix will enable Lightning Networks and similar, which will enable L2, layer 2 will bring a lot of cool features like instant transactions, cross chain transactions efficient colored coins, this will make litecoin and eventually bitcoin a lot more valuable.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Litecoin rising again? on: April 21, 2017, 01:30:40 PM

With the Segwit Signal well below 75% now, why is LTC on the rise?Huh Don't get me wrong, I am glad of this. I was not one of the ones with soft hands, and sold immediately, after it was evident that segwit was not going to happen in period 6.

Soon:

936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Historical Bitcoin price data per minute on: April 21, 2017, 09:58:37 AM
Hi guys,

For my thesis I'm looking for historical price data of bitcoin on a minute per minute basis.
So far I've been able to find daily Bitcoin prices but i need a higher frequency.
A hourly interval would probably already suffice.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Please forgive me if I posted this on the wrong board.

Here you go:

https://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#rg150zigHourlyztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv

Hourly you get 5 month periods, for 1 minute you get 3 days periods.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin SegWit will be activated in less than 11 days on: April 20, 2017, 02:00:26 PM
The segwit percentage is creeping back up - now at 69.4% for the last 24 hours. If it can just surge and hold at about 80% for a few days, it should have made up for the recent drop.

And price started moving up again, there may be some causation between SegWit signaling and price. Cheesy Cheesy

Some turbulence ahead, put your seatbelt on!
938  Other / Meta / Re: Question? on: April 20, 2017, 01:44:29 PM
You can make a raffle but you need to make it provably fair, you can't ask a moderator for a number because he will give you the number of his raffle...
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to sell dicing strategy? on: April 19, 2017, 01:42:15 PM
I have found a pretty good dicing strategy, it seems to work [so far!] and I was wondering if it is possible to resell the strategy itself?

Also, how much do you think could be a strategy like this worth if it proves to be really profitable (or at least with a high return)?

https://i.gyazo.com/9acdfa7feb0d0aa10ad401c73bccead4.png
Started with ~0.047 BTC

Why would you want to sell a winning strategy?

People will just bankrupt the casinos, if it's only you playing you'll be able to profit forever and you'll be rich.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain embezzled customers’ miners to block SegWit on: April 19, 2017, 01:28:17 PM
This kind of stuff should be illegal, aren't authorities in China cracking down on crypto currency manipulation?

This guy is not only manipulating market for his own selfish reasons, but also being dishonest with his costumers.

Aren't Chinese costumers and users making formal complaints with proper authorities about this guy actions?

1. proof or racial speculation starting from reddit?
2. what if the proof is a firmware update to remove asicboost facility so that bitmains own customers cant asicboost. (which was last weeks desire that bitmain should do something to not be able to asic boost)
3. what if the proof is a firmware update to ensure all asics sold had asicboost facility so everyone, even those outside of bitmain had the efficiency gain

C'mon, don't be naive, all this hashpower didn't came from thin air, they are using miners who they already sold and should be shipping to costumers to block SegWit in litecoin.
