921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SENTINEL CHAIN (one of the most promising ICO in 2018) on: February 23, 2018, 05:54:13 AM
To start with I was interested in the sentinel chain ico and I did their whitelist, but I am disappointed for the reason that they are asking their participants to essentially do a bounty campaign to get chance to participate in sale.I think it's lame
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) is a shame to the crypto-community. on: February 21, 2018, 05:15:44 PM
https://ripple.com/insights/continued-decentralization-xrp-ledger-consensus-protocol/

Maintaining our momentum towards further decentralization is critical for XRP Ledger to reach its full potential. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, being the only public blockchain that has experienced no reversed transactions, no censorship and no major operational issues for over five years

We present Cobalt, a novel atomic broadcast algorithm that works in networks with non-uniform trust and no global agreement on participants, and is probabilistically guaranteed to make forward progress even in the presence of maximal faults and arbitrary asynchrony. The exact properties that Cobalt satisfies makes it particularly applicable to designing an efficient decentralized "voting network" that allows a public, open-entry group of nodes to agree on changes to some shared set of rules in a fair and consistent manner while tolerating some trusted nodes and arbitrarily many untrusted nodes behaving maliciously. We also define a new set of properties which must be satisfied by any safe decentralized governance algorithm, and all of which Cobalt satisfies.

Boys can now dig deep into 50 pages of decentralization before puking their "rIpPlE iS cEnTrAliZeD"

Nice to know about this .there has been so much hate about ripple everywhere causing FUD .I am an early investor in ripple just because of their real world usage .I hope more banks start adapting xRapid and the company decentralize it
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: February 21, 2018, 05:11:46 PM
I have never held Bitcoin ever .The only time I had it was to flip it for some coin.My method of thinking is that Bitcoin is not going to make me a millionaire so I will spot altcoins early and I will invest in them.Of course when you invest into altcoins you should do a hell a lot of research as there are so many shitcoins out there.
924  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: February 21, 2018, 05:03:50 PM
I am of the believe that this Merit system shall in less than no time brings more and more sanity to the forum.[ The more, the meria ], and candidly, merit farmers, spam posters and even the so called "merit traders" shall continue and soon be fetched, bringing and resolving them into non existence at the long run or reduce them to bearest minimum. I can only suggest that every member just need to be free minded during their contribution in the forum, be cautious of abusive words, put up comprehended , compatible and constructive postings, naturally the merit shall come to their Account. The moderators at the same time should equally carry everybody along, not concentrating on our super heroes alone, though they merited it.
I completely agree with you.Nkw that the Bitcoin talk forum is.more popular and it seems many are doing "account farming" .The only way to stop this is by doing these kind of.innovative things . Although sadly I never seem to get any merit and I am not.sure why
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PRL] Oyster Pearl predictions on: February 21, 2018, 04:57:00 PM
I got in pretty early into oyster around 20 cents I think and I hodled onto it at 4$ .Now I feel that my faith is rewarded with the AIRDROP of shell tokens.I hope the project does good
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden Gems on: February 21, 2018, 04:53:02 PM
Maynot be so much of a hidden gem as it's know all around the  crypto world now.I am talking about VeChain , if you are looking for a coin with great potential and passive income then look at this. They will be rebranding it to Vet and it will generate THOR , much like how neo generates gas .So for each Ven you hold you will get Thor , I think you need 2300 VEN to generate 1 Thor per day
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in January thru March on: February 21, 2018, 04:48:26 PM

928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ICO IDEA DISCUSSION] Discussion for launching an ICO on: February 18, 2018, 12:19:12 PM
Your tokens will be looking like a company's share. If you want to buy real estate on investment money, you must register your company and pass all needed proceeding (US, Singapore).
Also, why do you think that your idea can be useful for others? There are a lot of companies that do the same things, but they have been working in regulated law field and all investors under government protection.
Everybody is trying to launch ICO and get extra money for "nothing".
1. Can you answer, why do you need to create ICO and develop new tokens?
2. How blockchain can help you? There are many projects that don't need blockchain technology and tokens.
3. If you can’t get investment from angel and traditional investors, why should crypto community trust you?
4. You haven't got experience in ICO and coding knowledge? What about your experience in estate industry?
4. Have you got money on marketing and developers? If you got nothing and just want to make your idea real, how investors can trust you?

P.S: You got nothing, no team, no advisors, just idea. Sounds like you want to raise funds and buy house and car instead of making profit for investors. One more coin with “great profit opportunity”, but no backers and strong team.
IMHO, You should create ICO with team, supporters, advisors and seed capital…

1. Can you answer, why do you need to create ICO and develop new tokens?
I dont have the funds and I want to raise the funds via an ICO.
2. How blockchain can help you? There are many projects that don't need blockchain technology and tokens.
The concept doesnt really need blockchain.I want the people to trust that they can get some profit back and I thought putting it in a smart contract that I have received funds will help them believe
3. If you can’t get investment from angel and traditional investors, why should crypto community trust you?
Because this concept doesnt need Angel investing.Any one with a big capital can do it. As my city is one of growing cities real estate is much much profitable
4. You haven't got experience in ICO and coding knowledge? What about your experience in estate industry?
I have invested in real estate for myself personally and sold the previous assets I owned for a profit
5. Have you got money on marketing and developers? If you got nothing and just want to make your idea real, how investors can trust you?
Right now all I got is an idea. If the idea seems feasible then I am wiling to hire some people locally and willing to team up

I know that there are already projects with the same idea. But what I am trying to say is I will be doing it in my place
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ICO IDEA DISCUSSION] Discussion for launching an ICO on: February 18, 2018, 12:13:51 PM
  • Do you think I can attract the required investment through a coin offering?
  • How difficult is to start a ICO without any coding knowledge. I am looking to start with erc 20 token
  • How do I make the investors believe that I wont be running away with their money
  • Yes you can attract everyone to invest to your coin as long you understand the procedure, and bassicaly as long its make money people will invest in it
  • Its not that hard, just hire people who have that skill. If you want to run real busines start hiring profesional. Do you plan to run this project all by your self ?
  • Fill all legal requirtment to run that bussines, if you convincing enough and provide all of that, people will trust you.
Anyway see post above me, there some other project allready do same thing like you want to do now.
Hire a proffesional
w
I can take care of the legal proceedings in real estate and I dont have a company as of now .I dont plan to run project by myself but with a few of my trusted friends
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ICO IDEA DISCUSSION] Discussion for launching an ICO on: February 18, 2018, 05:55:37 AM
Hi Guys, I am thinking about starting a ICO to buy a real estate in one of the major cities in a developing nation and construct apartments and sell them.

The idea is to buy a piece of land ,construct homes and sell them for profit. Out of the profit 50% will be shared to all token holders.

Investment Amount: 500k to 1 million dollar
Time duration : 1 year
Returns : 50 percent of profit
Members in team :  just me (will be adding people when I start )
Experience in Blockchain : Have been following the crypto markets but no experience in developing till now

Can you guys help me with your feedback

932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to keep track of the bounties you are participating in? on: February 17, 2018, 05:18:26 PM

Using website services like Bountyhive possible? do you know bountyhive? will help you to track everything. and facilitate the bounty hunter, without having to report.
Intesresting website. There you go mate a merit for you  Smiley
You can also check out http://bounty.biz/ which lists all the bounties managed by the AMAZIX team. They recently seem to be running many ICO's and from my expetience they are always fair in distributing the bounties. If you think my answer was helpful you know what to do  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to understand hate for Ripple on: February 17, 2018, 03:06:12 PM
Hello guys, I have seen a lot of hate and FUD about ripple in bitcointalk and reddit posts . These are the reasons that seem to be mentioned

  • Ripple is not a decentralised currency as most of the coins are held by Ripple company
  • Some people seem to think that the team and CEO of ripple are not genuine
  • There also seems to be concerns that banks wont want to use cryptocurrency for cross currency payments because of volatility in crypto space

Can you guys help me to understand if these FUDS are fair or are people just trying to keep the price down for further accumulation?I am just trying to understand .

Ripple is clearly isn't decentralized but the fact is only Bitcoin is decentralized until today.
Bitcoin creator don't want to reveal himself or their team that's what make Bitcoin's more trusted and people would like to pour in their money.
Ripple team if doesn't want to reveal their real identities - why we care? Actually most Altcoins aren't revealing their real identities to avoid sabotage and conflict of interests.
I trusted Ripple since last year and as I holder of a couple of thousands plus Ripple XRP, I am happy with the increase...
Especially this time that giant companies are announcing that they are partnering Ripple in order for their clients and customers could get more access into their platforms and services.
Exactly most of the market including bitcoin ,ethereum and other major currencies are susceptible to be manipulated by whales and they are now . That is why it is hard to understand the HATE . Maybe it is because the founder has a big chunk of holding .

935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Saudi Arabia's deal with Ripple on: February 17, 2018, 02:12:07 PM
The bank only signed a contract to test foreign exchange new techniques To determine the quality of it , but did not participate to purchase Ripple .
But still ripple as a company has been making pilot projects and deal with various banks and money transfer companies like Money gram . Now a test pilot with Central bank in a country where there is a lot of cross border transfer doesnt sound bad.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sharpe, next easy x100 ! 4 million capitalization ! on: February 17, 2018, 02:09:46 PM
Good deal for Sharpe token holder I guess. I looked at the project at least 10 times when they had their ICO but never bought into it , that being said sad to see that there was a airdrop and I missed it out. Hope it doesnt come back to bite me
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Invests on: February 17, 2018, 02:05:43 PM
It depends on what kind of returns you're looking for . If you want to play it safe then still Bitcoin and Ethereum are the safe bets to go. But if want to multifold then you should do your research and invest in ICO's or low market cap gems.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple to the moon? on: February 17, 2018, 02:02:18 PM
Everyone is hoping for $4 again of ripple
Ripple is still closing partnership and may prove use cases
Fundamental matters when the dust settles https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/ripple/usd
Honestly I am really really surprised why ripple price is still stuck at this level. They have one of the best use cases in real world out of all tokens and they have been established deal after deal. Probably the hate is because Ripple company holds a large number of tokens. Once more banks start using XRapid tech which will use XRP tokens for cross border settlement , which I guess will reduce the tokens owned by the company the price will start going up again
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 500$ on: February 16, 2018, 11:52:41 AM
Good evening people, im newbie in cryptocurrency and i need a hand from you guys.
I want to invest 500$ in an altcoin, can you help me pick one ??
Split it into multiple altcoins.I would advise you to invest in gems which might have potential and have a chance to multifold multiple times in some years .No point in playing safe with 500 $
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Is this buying period of alt coins? on: February 16, 2018, 09:37:18 AM
It is still a good time to buy I guess because most of the people.arent into crypto yet .But do dollar cost averaging where in you invest money over time and not everything in one go
