1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin broke $13k today on: October 26, 2020, 08:33:23 AM
Maybe we really are going to see an awesome bull run in the near feature with all the news that have been coming out lie PayPal and aware and other companies buying loads of bitcoins.i hope it exceeds the 2017 bull run.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: October 26, 2020, 08:30:49 AM
Right  now I would say Fiat is more important for daily usage as Bitcoin hasn't been widely adopted yet and cannot be used as a medium of transfer in all place but that may change in the future.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops Confusion on: October 24, 2020, 09:35:19 AM
This thought just comes to my mind especially these days, with a lot of altcoins doing airdrops or giving away different altcoins.

But I got some confusion here when the "airdrop" term used.

Because for what I believe the meaning of "airdrop" is a way of giving a free coin/s to some wallet addresses without seeking any investment or doing nothing.

Are those spreading all over around especially in this forum known to be an "airdrop" is considered an airdrop or bounty campaign since some of those are requiring people to fill up some of the forms or need to sign up or follow some social media accounts, etc?
Since you did some task or work to get those coins.

It has changed a little bit over the years now. Previously airdrop used to be a just simple tasks like saying hello or joint telegram bit now they are getting more out but I would say it isn't very tough work.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you really use alts for the purpose they're supposedly created for? on: October 24, 2020, 09:33:21 AM
Right now I can't think of any alt that we can use directly . There are quite a few alts which you can stake and enjoy the benefits while running a node and the node serves the purpose for which the alts weree created.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: October 24, 2020, 09:32:01 AM
I also think of the same thing why does some hunters rush on joining bounty when their previous bounty ended they should choose carefully or wait for a deserving bounty to promote.
I feel like some of them doesn't really care and just want to join any bounty that they could and try their luck on it.

Of course I agree with being patient and not to rush into any new bounty campaign as soon as the last one ends. But sometimes you can never avoid getting scammed if the project doesn't want to pay the hunters from the very start.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: October 22, 2020, 07:44:47 AM
So introductions to KYC in a bounty means the bounty manager is a scammer? There are few moves like this from some old bounties and it's the project team fault not the bounty manager, if the team decide to change rules there is nothing that the bounty manager can do about it, if you don't want to work for nothing you will have to comply

As said by the OP the KYC is decided by the team and not the bounty managers . It's on the users to decide if they want to participate in bounty if it's needing Kyc. Also the project should be clear about the Kyc requirements from the beginning.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of Defi hype! Time to invest in real business with real products? on: October 22, 2020, 07:40:51 AM
I don't think this will be the end of Defi but the defi concept is still in it's early stages and needs to improve a lot. The scam yielding projects need to wiped out too but who knows maybe defi will play a big part in the future.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 22, 2020, 07:34:47 AM
I think we need to see the different needs a project which is trying to raise money needs. Signature doesn't provide credibility but it provides marketing for any project which is certainly needed.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why hesitate ???? on: October 21, 2020, 07:04:41 AM
If you feel like you are happy with the price you see right now, you should sell at this price. In some time the price will be much lower and you will be able to buy back.

What would you do it the price increases and there is a massive bullrun just like the 2017 run ?
Will you be able to digest it and bee happy with the profit that you booked ? If you can then fine go ahead with day trading else stick to what you hold.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies have the lowest transaction fees? on: October 21, 2020, 06:59:13 AM
I have started using from network for transferring my USDT tokens instead of transferring it on the ethereum network between exchanges because it literally saves me 2-3 USD per transaction.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you join to Graph ICO ? on: October 21, 2020, 06:57:09 AM
Well I've come across articles promoting this ico a couple times. It is one of the most waited now, so if you feel loke joining it - go ahead!)

Not just because of the articles or public mentions but the Graph is getting much publicity because it can change the way web3 will be because of its decentralized nature  and ability to have many subgraphs.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why hesitate ???? on: October 20, 2020, 11:50:05 AM
With your example, we know that from $1 to $3 is 300% price up and this is the time for sell to get the profit.
I don't know why people still holding if they find their coin price already multiplied 3x.
Even traders usually sells their coin when the price up only 10-30% already, we must learn how to know the time for hold or sell our coin.

Maybe he is not a trader and he is a proper holder who did a lot of research and trusts the project for the long-term. I am sure a trader will definitely bite the hands for a quick 3x.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistake Costs User $1.1 Million in AAVE on: October 20, 2020, 11:47:29 AM
This keeps happening over and over again. A user of the decentralized finance platform AAVE mistakenly sent 28,050 AAVE tokens, worth approximately $1.1 million, to the token's contract address. There are now discussions about possibly restoring the user's funds.

https://decrypt.co/45537/user-loses-1-1-million-in-aave-due-to-mistake?amp=1

This is something that keeps repeating but the question is if the team reverses it doesn't it give centralised power to the team ? How can the project call it to be decentalised one any more ?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time that there will be no new altcoin projects anymore on: October 20, 2020, 11:45:48 AM
It is possible. Maybe in the near future there will be one currency used for everything. A powerful currency that will suffice the need of everyone.

I think you are taking about something that maybe used for medium of exchange but there will be altcoin which create tokens what will be utility tokens. So I don't think this is likely to happen.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Token on: October 19, 2020, 07:49:40 AM
You can see all listed coin/tokens on UNISWAP on here.  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/uniswap/

from CMC, we can see there are ~40 coin/tokens listed on there (5 of them don't have any volume anyway). I don't think it's scam or not, but rather about pump and dump coin/token on UNISWAP
this explains everything. however, the tokens to avoid are tokens that do not have a large volume. You only need to click on the link above, then sort it by volume, then you can see a list of coins that have the potential to scam there. although not all tokens that have no volume there is a scam, but you can do your research and shorten the time that way.

Apart from checking the volume also have a look at the number of trades and the number of holders of the coin in etherscan. Of the number of holders is too low and if large percentage is held by a few address, then it's probably a scam.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Fund Management on: October 19, 2020, 07:46:02 AM
So is the next phase of evolution in investing in crypto currency?
Instead of users directly investing by themselves they give their assets to be managed by a third-party, just like how mutual funds are.  But is this a wise way to go centralised ?
17  Other / Archival / Re: Potential shortage of bitcoins? on: October 19, 2020, 07:42:49 AM
I think the shortage created by the huge demand that is incoming from institutional investors will create a huge spike in the process in the coming months. That's the genius behind the idea of Bitcoin's limited supply.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin lose its value? on: October 18, 2020, 01:43:19 PM

Did bitcoin lose its value?
In the era of pandemic 2020, Federal Reserve Bank printed paper currency notes which ultimately decreased the value of us dollar USD. And in that period, Bitcoin btc was also stagnant and did not move much. So did bitcoin has losen its value with usd? If yes then similarly other fiat currencies like usdb, usdt etc. also lose their value with devaluation of us dollar.
.
You have exactly mentioned why Bitcoin is more valuable now that the federal reserve has printed something like 20 percent of all USD in existence these last 6 months. We will see Bitcoin having more value.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2020, 01:39:56 PM
To anyone who is thinking this may be a good idea, never ever take a loan to invest in something.Be it Bitcoin , gold or anything this is the first rule of investing. You may end up losing the loan money and pay interest.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unique to man. on: October 18, 2020, 01:38:07 PM
There is a whole lot to discuss about bitcoin but the mind blowing aspect is its being the world first digitalized currency and decentralized at that, How interesting to know and Its worth basically comes from being the first digital currency that has no human organization or authority to control. It’s has so much become common that anyone can buy, sell or receive it .In our world today a Bitcoiner  is a great investor and has good savings without no limit.

Bitcoin isn’t just safe to keep your funds but it keeps you in charge of your funds. despite the fact that bitcoin is a decentralized currency many human organizations and Authorities still seek for it and use it a means transactions (sending and receiving). I have no doubt that with these uniqueness the future of bitcoin is bright and promising for those who puts interest in it.

Bitcoin is safe and decentralized and you are in charge if it.  But the people outside the crypto community is ignorant of these facts and they think that it is easily lost it hacked. We need to change this to being mass adoption.
