What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?
I would like to hear some advice. What are pros & cons of each option?

It's never a good idea to keep your long term holdings in the exchange.Read about the exchange hacks .Move it to your own wallet or better get a hardware wallet |

Come on man be realistic here .Yeah ripple is good for real world adaption and it is used by several banks but overtaking Bitcoin seems a bit far fetched now

Looks like this is actually the year and will be remembered as the year of ico's.We are already past the 2017 capital and next year I don't expect theae many ico's because of the regulations kicking in

Well it's not dangerous per session , then again it depends on the coin you are holding and the market condition.if market goes down then most of alts without strong backing go down as well

Go diverse it into both. If you want guranteed returns then go with ethereum but with 500$ go for moon shots .Who knows one of them.might make you rich but you also stand the risk of.losing the money |

There are many threads on this Buddy.One hardcore rule is don't listen to the shills and buy it blindly.Instead research about the project, the token usage ,metrics and most importantly the team.

Have a look at the concept how would it impact the world ? How proven are the team in the filed they want to disrupt? What is the roadmap and how many are working on the project ? Are there any big investors ? |

Under two dollars, I think Ripple is the best choice you could pick. It's on the TOP 10 Marketcap with established use and team. It is now down by 70% from it's all time high 3$, research well and try to enter on ripple, this is a great buy.
I think ripple is a good one and I would advise the OP to diversify at least in the same field .Like have a look at stellar lumens which is you can say a competitor to ripple |

Should we hold on to altcoins which we have invested and see the price dropping every moment or it will be better to sell them or hold.
There is no real yes or no answer to this .It depends on the cryoto you hold , the team that runs it and the recent developments in the project .If the project is doing well and believe in it then stop looking at the market |
