0 innovation = fail What's the difference between real world currencies besides the backing they have. Currencies don't need to be innovative, they just need to work. Do you think real people will support a currency called asijdoapsjd that does something different or a coin that works on a proven method but has a great name and team behind it? Yes if earth was 100% made up of complete geeks like us then asijdoapsjd that adds something new that is not needed might be in a good place. |

You guys have 2 issues.
1. mBTC is going to become the standard soon.
2. Dropping to 80 coins per block is going to be worse then coins with a 5% premine. You will have a 100 users with millions of coins and the rest will be beggars.

this coin is at the very bottom of things right now, but I like what im seeing.
a dedicated dev can take a coin to riches ...
problem lately is all the devs just want to dump soon as they hit cryptsy.
if you all stick with this dev and he doesn't change his drive that im seeing right now,
than your all in for a lot of $ at the end of this year!

the total number of coins I came up with is modelled after how the u.s.a distributes 10 dollar bills annually. I believe the total number of coins that can be produced should encrouage new people to get in the virtual currency without fear that it's price is too high for them to.buy, say because there won't be a large amount of the coin ever produced, ehm bitcoin..., or the price too low for the coin to have any real practical purpose.
There are 2,100,000,000,000,000 distinct units of Bitcoin. Explain how this is not enough?  This is true, even the iCoin developers have picked up on this and why I firmly believe iCoin is the only one that could potentially compete with bitcoin in the future. It has a great name, great design, it keeps getting better slowly instead of BANG and then fizzle out. Laugh at me me now though for these comments.  |

Breaking NewsKimoto Gravity change will occur sometime next week, we will confirm the block once the final test has been completed. This will also give us time to let the exchanges know and before we take iCoin mainstream. One of the reasons we have been holding off is we didn't want new users to crypto to have to update the wallet so soon. There will also be something extra included in the wallet that I am sure you will all appreciate. This is the best news I could of heard for iCoin, it will make those involved into Cryptos a lot more confident when investing in iCoin whether it be mining or buying. For the mainstream public you targetting they won't know the difference but multi-pools would definitely kill the coin off if people wanted to buy more and no one wants to mine it. Great news!Once the change goes live I will buy up some more, looking forward to seeing how you market this coin to the world, it really deserves to be out there. |

What does concern me is the amount that was dumped out for iCoin in one go on coinmarket.io. That is around 40 000 coins in one hit. I will do some investigations on the main premine account
of captainhook to make sure it was not him, but it was most likely a mining pool or big miner that dumped out after the promotion.

I would suggest staying away from mining promotions until the block rewards have halved this year and focus on giveaways where people receive small amounts at a time.
It's good that the premine is being spent and a lot more wisely then most coins but I feel giving 100 ICN for block finders is only benefitting the miners that really don't give
a shit about iCoin and just want to dump out.
I have no doubt this was a miner with big network hash that dumped out, everyone in the team is buying up iCoin like everyone else at these low prices. Some of my own btc was within that order that got sold. The premine will all be used to the benefit of iCoin as discussed with Captainhook last week. The price has already bounced back to 3200 on coinmarket.io the last I checked. The iCoin will start drying up again now that the mining promotion has ended and this will have a positive impact on the price. This is even without the plans we have in place for iCoin. I have just noticed what has happened on coinmarket.io, the person who dumped out put in a order for the same amount at 1110, so just traders trying to make extra iCoin. That is a really good sign but maybe a dumb move if no one sells out that low. lol |

I got feedback from captainhook, they can change to KGW when the situation calls for it and they are monitoring the network hash rate closely... so the coin can be added to coinwarz in the meantime.

Yes symbiont, this has been on the minds of the iCoin team and there's been discussion between @Viperbass and the head developer in regards to this. Perhaps he can hop on and give you a more concise update / timeline shortly Ok. Thx. I would like to invest more in this coin. I like it very much. But without KGW there is no way to survive. As soon as icoin will hit coinwarz or a bigger exchange some mining farms and/or multipools will jump in and let the coin die on a high diff. I have seen it many times in the past. By he way nice new logo and website! The dev in charge of the coin is captainhook, just PM him if you need confirmation. I would recommend this gets implemented before the coin gets listed on coinwarz. |

iCoin is truly amazing, might I suggest you market this coin outside of bitcointalk, most of us here are geeks and have already backed a coin already.
So majority of the people here would prefer a coin named anmawnoncoqn that has no future.
