Hi all

I need to purchase some PSU and breakout boards with cables, in the EU region.

Is there an EU website, or need I to write a pm to the owner of this thread? Thank you.

You would need to write a PM to the owner of the thread who is located in France.

The restart went fairly smooth on my end.  My rigs beeped about 5 or 6 times before they went back on line with CK/Kano.

they did this with the s5s.. then at the end of the batches they sold off their own "used" inventory..

because the s7s that they dont sell, i am fairly certain they are using them.. why would they just sit there idle if they turn a profit.

If I were them, I would not let them sit idle in a warehouse.  I would use them and sell them as used if mined with for longer than one week.

Their wallet address has no significant increase in activity lately.  I really believe they are mining with most all of the batch 9 and batch 10 rigs.  It is possible batch 11 rigs could be in the middle of the manufacturing process.  Especially, if they have more 1385 chips available.  Batch 11 may be the last batch of new S7's.  It's possible they may sell used rigs after batch 11.
927  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 19, 2016, 10:17:19 PM
I would not ruleout S7's at all.At this point I figure  bitmain has got the lowest price they will on producing them.  I also figure they have very  good electricity prices at internal mines.  So add  those together they still can  profit off S7's I think.

I think S7 is at least a portion....how much we will likely never know.

I would almost be willing to bet the S7's were a large portion of that network hash rate increase.  I honestly believe they were not able to sell all of the batch 8's.  I don't believe they sold very many batch 9's and batch 10's at all.  They simply posted them as being sold out and incorporated them inside their own mines.  I would think they are willing to do the same with the batch 11.

Yes, BitFury may have increased "some" of the network hash rate but I don't believe they are the main culprit of the significant increase we've had lately.  I believe it's mostly Avalon 6's and Bitmain S7's that came on line in China.  My speculation of course.

EDIT:  If all of it were S7's and Avalon 6's, it would be a total of approximately 30,000 rigs manufactured between the two of the for the increase in hash we had over the past 2 weeks.  Does anyone think that is possible?

I like kano, it seems stable, the payouts are well within my expectations for my hash rate. The only thing I'd like to see is a little cleaner website.

Thanks for being there kano.is and I'm very lucky to have found you !!

If you have not got CKPool Monitor yet, you need to get it.  You will not be disappointed.  Trust me.  Shoot a donation to Zach as well for using the monitor.  Even if it's only a dollar.  Donations add up over time.

It can be found at https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com

There are also apps available for your android or iOS phone to monitor you hash on the pool.

EDIT:  The forum for using the CKPool Monitor is located here:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1331875.0

Got the notice from Bitmain that my 2x batch 10 miners have shipped. I should have them Monday and hopefully sans any UPS broker fees this time...

Hi NotFuzzyWarm,

When you get them, will you let me know if the controller has 6 x fan inputs and 9 x 18 pin inputs from the blades to the controller?

Thanks in advance.

I'm still at page 103 trying to catch up.  Thanks for keeping this going.  I take the time to read and/or listen on video ALMOST EVERY POST MADE ON HERE.

I wanted to take the time to share a DAMN GOOD "RECENT" YOUTUBE VIDEO of ANDREAS ANTONOPOULOS.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BULLISHNESS OF THIS VIDEO.  PLEASE WATCH!!!

Will be interesting to watch we should see batch 10 shipping any time: ANTMINER S7 BATCH 10 - Shipped out from Feb. 16~20
Currently in China:  4:47 PM  Tuesday, February 16, 2016

So I'm guessing not the 16th since no one reported shipping notice.  But should be soon as long as they keep timeline.

Not sure how many will buy at current prices.

I would almost be willing to bet they decided to keep all of their remaining batch 8 and 9.  Hence, the considerable hash rate increase we saw.  I believe they also hooked up the batch 10 over the holidays for testing purposes.  How many of the batch 10 they keep as well is unknown.

EDIT:  I expect bitcoin price to rise to about $630's to $730's soon.  It will rise to those levels over approximately a 2 month period.

EDIT:  The block halving has changed from July 25th to July 13th now.  I'm anticipating the block halving to take place in late June at the current rate.  This means the pump I'm expecting may peek the end of April or early May then go back down to who knows what.  That's if it takes a similar road LTC took at its block halving.

However, it is possible it could go up higher before falling, like what I'm depicting in the following screen shot.  I have it leveling out at about $450 in June, 2016:

Unless I see major support for any changes, I'll not be even looking into changing anything,

A block size increase it explicitly to our (kano.is and solo.ckpool.org) advantage coz of how fast we process blocks and how well we distribute them.

If anything comes clear in the dark muddy waters of soft/hard forks of core then I'll discuss it.
Until then, it's just another alt-coin of BTC ... like that other complete waste of time last year ...

Thank you, Sir!

That's good to know.

I'm curious...

I heard a rumor on tradingview.com troll box that p2pool just mined the first block of bitcoin classic.

Are we voting during some kind of soft fork process right now or what?

The so called "Captain" has obviously paid someone to do this article.  He's in "repair" mode to try to gain back a tarnished reputation.  I KNOW he reads this thread but doesn't have the balls to face his naive members.

Grats David!

It always feels good to have another notch in your belt I'm sure.

How many amps are you using these days?

Only 40,300 watts with the fans included (167.92 Amps); which is nothing compared to a lot of others.  I have a 225 Amp main breaker.  I ended up not upgrading the power here at the house after the power company also wanted to charge me $4,200 on top of my cost for the materials and labor for electrician.  I was also going to have to rent a trencher or pay someone to trench 191 feet.  I told him I will get back with him after I think about it a while.

Congratz!

Morning and congrats on your first block here.  Thank you!

Thanks!   Grin

EDIT:  Best share on that one was 206,405,991,633 but the S7 did not say a block was found.  Could only tell by the value of the best share.

Congrats David on your first BLOCK!  Can we get a Triple SLAM, WHAM BAM THANK U MAM?

Wonder where he is? Haven't seen him post in a while. Congrats all the same to him, and all other block finders!

Thanks!  I just woke up.   Grin  My first on THIS pool.  I wish I stayed here when the pool first began.  I'm not leaving this pool ever again.
940  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 11, 2016, 08:53:41 PM

Why so damn negative?

I'm sure you have heard of "soft forks" as a means of implementing changes to strengthen the network without a hard fork.  Maybe, you should spend your time on your chip development and the SP50 rather than trying to bring everyone down to your current level.  You might try a smaller rig than the SP50 as well for the public (home miners) rather than large investors only.

As far as I'm concerned, you're in league with Hearn.

We have a lot of new upcoming advancements for the blockchain to make it better without the changes you want to implement.

Check this video out for instance:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSq-58ElBzk

Also, how about you and everyone else reading some "bullish" news for a change instead of searching for pessimistic news to try to bring everyone down to your level.

Here's an excellent thread for bullish news:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1166428.2020
