Brentford was not a strong team to make a problem for a team like Manchester United and I think were expecting a much better performance from Ten Hag and his players but until the last minutes of the game Manchester United was about to lose this game against Brentford. Scott McTominay saved his team and he scored two goals in the last minutes of the game, he said David Beckham inspired him for him good performance he had against Brentford.
Brentford was leading until the end of the legal time and McTominay was able to prevent his team from a defeat. I find Manchester United weaker than what they used to be. Their victory today was quite lucky.. Ten Hag has to avoid an embarrassing defeat or else his days will not be long. Didnt expect that Al Ahli would win the match and with this win they have made things a lot complicated in the league. Also didnt expect Al Nassr to drop 2:0 so easily against such a weak team and if they want to win the title they cannot drop points like this.

Sometimes bad teams may end up beating good teams, but that doesn't mean that they suddenly became good teams themselves, they just got lucky, and could continue to play worse. That is the same with Lecce as well and Sassuolo game and should not be all that different.
It is true that weak teams could beat good ones at their weakest moments but this isn't always the case as we know. Lecce 1 - 1 Sassuolo was quite normal result since Sassuolo is mid-table team and fluctuating from a match to another. Empoli 0 - 0 Udinese is also a normal result, both teams are hovering around the relegation zone and will remain there for a long time apparently. |

Al-Ettifaq vs Al Fateh in the Saudi Professional League match today, Al Fateh scored 2 goals to win the match. There is so many surprising results tonight, I'm not even sure which one can be called as biggest upset.
European competitions are different than domestic league matches and big names might drop badly vs what was supposed a weaker team in a less known league.. Balkani taking 2:0 win against Dinamo Zagreb. Klaksvik got first ever point in UEFA tournament in Faroe Islands history. Their opponent Lille was tough one, but IIRC this season Klaksvik is still unbeaten at home in their European campaign.
Dinamo Zagreb defeat was unexpected even though they played away. They destroyed Astana by 5 goals to 0 then just lost like that vs a team playing in Kosovan league! What happened to Ludogorets that they lost to Nordsjaelland so big - 7:1?
I didn't followed the game but that was definitely a shocking result! Same goes for Beşiktaş, they were leading with 2 goals then simply lost control in the last ten minutes of the game. They received a red card before that. |

By the end of the second round in this group stage of Champions League, there is only four teams that got 6 points: Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid. These teams are serious contenders for the title this year especially Manchester City then comes the others.
There is also unsuccessful teams like Manchester United and Dortmund in the bottom of the tables of their groups.. I think they will leave the competition at this stage, maybe it isn't a bad thing for them this season.

It is really sad to see a team like Ajax having bad days now. They have changed managers very often in the recent times. This hasn't made a good impact on them.
Who knows maybe Erik ten Hag would come back there soon. Because things aren't going well for Manchester United side either. At least ten Hag had an amazing chemistry with Ajax.

What a shock on PSG performance tonight as they were defeated like babies by Newcastle today with all the quality players that they have in the club. Newcastle took the match very serious and were determined to get all three points, which they made possible.
PSG didn't play as if they really wanted to win the match because they failed to utilize the opportunities that they had in the first half. Newcastle deserves the win since they worked for it and it was clear that PSG deserves the defeat. The only goal that was scored by PSG was to console themselves.
I believe most of people are shocked with the poor performance of PSG tonight but also with the poor results they got in their previous matches in Ligue 1.. Receiving 4 goals even if it was vs a good team and away, is not acceptable and I assume there will be consequence for that.
Manchester City did it and Leipzig couldn't resist much after the draw. Otherwise Lazio picked an important victory at the very end of the game vs Celtic! |

Man City is obviously very prepared for this game but with what they have played so far I expected more goals by now, they should be leading by two goals by now, Leipzig is more of defensive side in this game and looking for an opportunity to get a counter attack so they could secure a goal, I never expected it will be this hard for Leipzig even in their home, I hope they do better by the second half.
Manchester City didn't add any goal in the second half yet. Leipzig are resisting until now but I think they will concede a goal at the end. PSG is really finding it very difficult with Newcastle as they are down by two goals already and the first half of the game just ended, Newcastle is really playing with so much confidence which I think is influenced by the fact that they are at home and they are using the advantage to their favor, it's most likely they will go home with three points tonight except PSG puts up a come back by the second half of which I'm not seeing them been capable of such.

If they lose another game they will be in trouble. Let's assume that they will lose against Bayern Munich again. I think this topic has some actuality given what is going on in the Champions League. What is Manchester United doing? I don't know if anyone put their bets against them, but by now I think it makes as much sense to bet against Manchester United as it makes to bet against Chelsea. This is the moment when ten Hag's life will become much harder as a United coach. Is this even acceptable for now? We are talking about Manchester United and yes they can have a bad game or two, but this is a fundamental problem that needs to be solved or otherwise this season is going down the drain.
Manchester United form is just sad. Imagine a team like them could not score more goals or at least equal to what they receive in both EPL and Champions League games. Same goes for defeats number vs victories.. I don't feel Ten Hag figured out yet a solution to his club failure and pression will increase after each defeat. Breaching midfield and fooling the defence line was used to distract players and score goals by their rivals. Hopefully they could fix that. |

I am almost sure that Osimhen will leave Napoli. You will have to pay a lot of money for it. Chelsea are ready to pay this money and they can handle this burden financially. The biggest advantage for Chelsea is that Osimhen is very interested in playing in the Premier League. I am sure he will achieve success with Chelsea in the Premier League.
Osimhen base price is actually around €120m, it is according to transfermarkt. But Napoli president always tells us non sense price for Osimhen. It is likely no interest to sell Osimhen to other clubs. The latest news I read, De Laurentiis will only consider an offer above €500 million for Osimhen. I think no club wants to sign him at that price, it is too crazy. Even I doubt Chelsea has an interest to sign Osimhen if Napoli only wants the offer above €500 million. As far as I know, Osimhen was in the sight of PSG who tried to sign him for something around €200m which failed. That was one of the highest bid for him. Osimhen is willing to go to EPL, otherwise he would be in a Saudi club or PSG. From what it appears, Chelsea is the most interested to bring him, not sure about Arsenal. I find any price above €100m for him as abusive, especially with his current form. I believe Napoli could let him go this winter if he continues playing like that.. |

Now after 2 matches, Manchester United have 0 points, worse statistics than Copenhagen and letting Galatasaray and Bayern Munich running in top. Diego Simeone should be very happy after this game, Diego Simeone and his palyer were losing the game with a 2-0 result against Cadiz, and losing this game could put him under pressure because so far in this season Atletico Madrid couldn't have a good performance at all. But they didn't give up even after the 2- result and especially in the second half of this match Atletico Madrid had a perfect performance against Cadiz.

Reversing the table upside down was good for Atletico Madrid especially when they were 2 goals behind. I think Xabi is still better than Raul and Arbeloa, Madrid seems to be prioritizing Xabi. It is reported that De Zerbi, the Brighton coach, is also currently on Madrid target list, this could be the second option if Xabi fails to be brought in from Laverkusen.
Yeah that news has been rumoured from a while and it seems that Real Madrid is still studying the best option to pick and its availability. Exactly my point, Pochettino is piss and frustrated, if he should lose the next match to Fulham, his chance of getting sack is going to move from 50/50 to 70/30 and that 70 is probably of getting sack before the next transfer window while 30 is stay at Chelsea. Chelsea need a tough man like Erik Hag, if not that he is a wisdom man, Chelsea and Manchester United are not so different from each other.
The victory against Brighton in EFL Cup reduced tensions inside the team and relieved the stressful environment a bit, even though winning with a single goal was poor as a result. In less than an 90 minutes they will face Fulham in an away game. I am afraid Fulham isn't a bad team. The Chelsea we know will have hard time keeping positive result until the end. They might be lucky since Fulham dropped in performance, yet they aren't that weak. I find odds a bit exaggerated for Chelsea. I tend to think it will be a draw unless Pochettino surprises us! |
