941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain embezzled customers’ miners to block SegWit on: April 19, 2017, 01:16:03 PM
This kind of stuff should be illegal, aren't authorities in China cracking down on crypto currency manipulation?

This guy is not only manipulating market for his own selfish reasons, but also being dishonest with his costumers.

Aren't Chinese costumers and users making formal complaints with proper authorities about this guy actions?
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jihan blocks segwit on LTC: price crashes on: April 19, 2017, 10:09:38 AM
The LTC price increase was somehow very attractive and many have joined the flow only to find out that it is just a bubble. I lost a few dollars from investing in LTC only to find out that its value will go down. And all of those things will be attributed to the blocking of segwit in LTC. But life must go on and the best thing to do really is to stick with bitcoin to avoid those bubbles.

Daytrading is quite difficult, if you don't have the proper knowledge you will lose money, you cannot simple put $200 dollars into Poloniex and become a successful daytrader.

Anyway, Litecoin still +133% in the last 30 days and that's a lot.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jihan blocks segwit on LTC: price crashes on: April 19, 2017, 09:37:51 AM
Blocking SegWit in litecoin was a major dick move, not just to users and other miners but also to the people who bought the miners they are using to block SegWit with.

Those guys have no ethics whatsoever.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin SegWit will be activated in less than 11 days on: April 18, 2017, 05:01:13 PM
According to the following they're at 63.8% in the last 24 hours:

http://litecoin-segwit.info/

which is not great, but still retrievable.

Non SegWit pools control more than 35% hashrate now:

LTC1BTC: 18,2%
LTC.top: 12%
Antpool: 5,2%

Doesn't look good.

These scammers don't even try anymore...
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: April 18, 2017, 01:07:57 PM
Just received a refund for shipping costs when returning an item to the merchant, you can't compete with Paypal when it comes to online shopping, well, you can but it will be very difficult. Smiley

Bitcoin and Paypal aren't even competitors, don't know why bitcoiners are so obsessed with Paypal.

$LTC miners which were due to be shipped by @BITMAINtech between 15th & 20th April have been delayed because of a "firmware problem".

This guy is doing everything he can to stop Segregated Witness, even when there's clear support for implementation and even lying to customers.

Does anyone know in which exchange the ESXCUDO currency will be traded?
The ICO of the same will be on April 25 and I did not find information about, if they know something we will share here.

You registered an account just to ask for a project that was never discussed in this forum?

You should ask in the same place where you have heard of it!

951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger, please sell your coins on: April 14, 2017, 08:30:59 AM
Dear Roger,

Please sell your fucking coins and GTFO so the rest of us can get on with our lives.

Sincerely,

The Bitcoin Community    Grin

How is this going to help Bitcoin?

Roger isn't mining, so he doesn't control hashpower.
Roger isn't a developer, so he isn't influential technically.

All he's ever done is help Bitcoin by investing in
companies like BitPay and Krakken, that helped
Bitcoin grow to what it is today.

How exactly is him leaving Bitcoin going to help anything?

I'll leave this here:

Will that break up?

It's certainly looking very bullish so I'd say yes. A lot of eyes are currently on LTC and there's a palpable sense of upward inertia.

Historically, when Litecoin rises a lot it tends to do so with a very relaxed attitude which can sometimes throw people off guard.

What service is that graph from?

It's https://bitcoinwisdom.com
953  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info wallet problems on: April 13, 2017, 09:41:13 AM
If you lost your private keys there's nothing that can be done to help you.

Stop using the computer and try with data recover software, maybe you'll be able to find your wallet backup.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chandler Guo Terminates ICO For New Mining Pool on: April 13, 2017, 09:35:40 AM
Just the market speaking, there is not enough support for Bitcoin Unlimited outside a small group of miners and a few very rich bitcoiners, the industry in general doesn't see Bitcoin Unlimited as a viable path forward.

Or it was simply a bad deal. Cheesy Cheesy
955  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] CoinByCall.com - Get paid in BTC for listening radio over the phone on: April 13, 2017, 08:19:43 AM
I emailed you a couple days ago but no response, i call the number and enter my pin code but it continues asking for pin code, what should i do?

Try another number or try again later.

That happens from time to time but after a few minutes it's working fine.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some more good news about Litecoin. on: April 12, 2017, 09:45:06 AM
It seems someone had a change of heart, we might have Segregated Witness in Litecoin after all.

957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter-like app based on bockchain? on: April 11, 2017, 01:21:25 PM
Is there a kind of application like Twitter based on the blockchain?

I think the blockchain would be suitable for such an app. Steemit and Qora have shown that a decentralized blog system works well with the blockchain. So why not a decentralized messaging app, too.

Yes, there is:

twister
Peer-to-peer microblogging

twister is the fully decentralized P2P microblogging platform leveraging from the free software implementations of Bitcoin and BitTorrent protocols.

958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which country backs "Bitcoin" as currency? on: April 10, 2017, 04:47:56 PM
In EU bitcoin is to be treated as currency, at least for tax purposes.

In Japan bitcoin is now a legal method of payment, don't know if also considered a currency.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin up alts down on: April 10, 2017, 04:19:01 PM
Can someone list some coins that typically go up when bitcoin does and coins that go down when bitcoin goes up?

Ltecoin usually maintains its fiat price, so when bitcoin price goes up LTC/BTC goes down and vice-versa, but now litecoin is on its own path so it's a little harder to predict.

Check out doge, it may have similar pattern.

They'll continue signaling but will pull out before activation.
so you ARE making a guess, because if you read the tweet it only talks about a concern about Litecoin becoming different code than bitcoin in case bitcoin never activates SegWit. that is a lot of ifs there.

also read the answer that Litecoin developer Charlie Lee gave him.

Not a guess, read his tweets: https://twitter.com/f2pool_wangchun
