To start mining: In wallet: typing "start_mining 6" in case I want 6 threads Is this ok? no need to enter wallet address?? In Daemon: typing "start_mining <address> threads=6" This is if we want to mine from the Daemon. Correct?? Does one need to have wallet open to mine? is it ok just to have Daemon running? Exactly right, no need to run simplewallet while daemon is mining. |

Quazarcoin is the fork of the latest BCN rep version. All the commits in Monero at the period between last BCN commit and QCN launch were done just to add BCN's new things to MRO. So your statement is not right, sorry  ... Is by far the most active fork, includes alot of new bugfixes, 32 bit fixes, compiler fixes, a cleaner tx extra field patch, additional macosx fixes... My comment stays, you forked a branch which doesn't get regular updates. PS: your binaries are slow These commits are almost irrelevant, don't worry, I'll get them soon. Binaries should be recompiled to catch up with Monero, the source code is the same. I'll ask NoodleDoodle to help with that asap. |

Where is the optimized miner?
What a disappointment. This coin is shit. Do not bother mining it. It is being instamined by the dev with an optimized miner.
Looks like it. Speed 7 thread FX 8350 only 4 hs. Monero 12 hs.... The source code for hash function is exactly the same as in Monero, an increase of almost 2 comparing to original hash function. There was a discussion that Monero binaries are compiled with some other compiler (Intel most likely), I don't have it at the moment. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg6614214#msg6614214 - the discussion of this.
