941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: January 13, 2015, 07:21:31 AM
Returning to the origin of this thread... this is probably a good time to sell gold and buy btc, isn't it?
I'm calling bottom. This was a panic. The percentage increases the lower you drop.

I sort of hope we get more real life users soon, rather than just waves of speculators. But I guess that's just me.
In many countries those decisions are up to the lawgivers.

In most countries it is up to Bitcoin companies creating solutions that people want to use.
In China and Russia you cannot purchase anything with bitcoins. Australia has forced an exchange to move to the UK. Many USA bitcoin devs have left the country due to shaky policies..

Somebody wanted to pop Bitcoin's ATH myth like it was a virgin sacrifice. Big deal. Now they are afraid to drop it below the previous bubble's low or $60. I want to see them drop 8000 BTC on stamp in one sell order to get it that low.

You just said we would see $200 in another thread...
One can only hope.

951  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: January 13, 2015, 05:15:56 AM
The problem with trendlines in a thin market is whales can ignore them and change the trend at will.

Invest/don't invest because chart. Seems legit.

You can ruin the market, but Bitcoin can't die. Mining is still increasing. We just need a better market.

I'm fully convinced that it's leverage that's killing us right now. It's way too easy to be able to short after a bubble top. The truth is though, I'd never trust an exchange with any significant amount of coin. If you don't hold the keys, the coins don't belong to you.
That's just it. In a panic buy, nobody can log in. DDOS attacks ensue. Orders get cancelled. People are forced to buy back high or are out.

Next for sale is Alana the Hula BTCeanie BTCaby. She retails for $9.99 USD... which means that she has risen in value over 1,000,000,000% since she was first created out of scraps in an Indonesian factory in 1996! Think of the potential! Any bidders?

Idiot traders are completely ruining the market. They won't stop til its dead. Enjoy your pump and dump beanie babies!

$250 good time to buy Wink
200 is better. Hold off. Make the dumpers wait until May.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 13, 2015, 04:34:15 AM
Come on dumpers, is that all you got?

Who's good with CSI stuff? The reflection in the left sunglasses lens seems to show Satoshi's girlfriend pregnant with child, hence him smiling, knowing that all his early mined bitcoins will one day belong to Satoshi Nakamoto Jr. (regardless the sex, still Jr.).

For every seller, there is a buyer!

His warning is fair. I lost a bunch of bitcoins and I thought I was careful. Bitcoin needs major child-proofing. It needs banks that can assist with transactions without having any control of your private keys. 2015 is the year to make Bitcoin ironclad.
