PMP is pure POS.... the PMC is a bitcoin clone ( POW ) with 2 week difficulty retargeting... people might stop mining it and the blockchain would freeze..
AND it is PMP... ( a slightly funny acronym )
Yes I know that PMP is pure POS. But this is not my question. In the value peak 1 PMC equaled 1.22$ after that it fell to 0.01 - 0.05 $. I don't think that pure POS will give a coin a stable value of 1 - 2 $, which would be a market cap of about 1-2 Mill. for PMP. Of course PMP will not have this value from the first day on but what does PMP have so it could reach this value within 1/2 or a year for example? |

I still don't get why there has to be a huge giveaway or a giveaway at all. From an investor's point of view this is pure poison.
Coin's supply would had been dramatically shortend, if there was only a swap. In Your scenario there will be even more coins.
Well the idea is to attract new people and new interest to PMP. It became clear that with the current amount of users we aren't able to keep the coin alive. Rarity in itself does not mean value. Rarity combined with many users (demand) does. The new PMP still has only a few coins compared to most other coins out there. I ask myself why PMP should be more attractive. What does PMP have what other coins don't - Except the free giveaway? Rarity alone doesn't mean anything any more. What is the difference between PMC and PMP? What is the innovation that should make PMP more valueable than PMC? And more users doesn't necessarily lead to more transactions or buying interest. Most if not all coins are backed by nothing but hot air (from mining ;-), and pump&dump). |

It doesn't help to post "Bittrex" in this thread. Contact Bittrex directly or tweet them about XGR and why XGR is a good coin which should be added.

I don't think there's much to do. Backup your wallet.dat and install the new wallet when it is out. The address space will stay the same it's only the ticker symbol changed! |

It seems that several pools went offline suddenly! Switch to the working ones, like Pool.mn or some other...  since the start there were only 2 pools (from the first post) with a significant amount of hashrate (pool.mn and minep.it) The other ones were not relevant for the net hashrate. Are there any other known pools except the ones given in the first post? Unfortunatelly the rest of the hashrate goes to private pools! yes, i guessed that. private pools or private farms. |

The 3,800,000 ( x 80%) of pre-mine unaccounted for will need to be sold at >= 0.00003289 to provide the BTC100 fund to buy gold. That will require a lot of buying pressure.
Say it works out great, theres BTC100 worth of gold in an account, using todays rates, what will each of the 40,000,000 PoW shares be worth?
about 1.25kg gold 1 XGR is about 0.00125 $ (1oz gold = 1250$) 1 XGR could be worth quite bit more if you ask me... The price you are stating should be the minimum of what should be the coin's value yes this was the minimum value according to the amount gold. of course i expect a higher trading value for this coin. |

Can any1 pls explain as you'd explain to a child, what's the diff between POW and POS stage? What does it mean/changes for me as a miner? Ty POW = you mine the coin actively with a computer POS = you just keep your coins in your wallet and earn "interest" on them when you keep them and the longer you keep them the more interest you get. |

why do you try so hard to get on exchanges.... a GOOD coin does not need to ask for exchange .... it will get added by itself.... gosh this coin isnt even 2 weeks old

Bittrex really deserves the profit their making from Cloak, I mean they were the only exchange to add Cloak in its early days. Bittrex seems to be catching up to Mintpal (daily volume). People want Cloak to be added to mintpal so its pumped (everyone here sells) and then dumped to the ground as most coins do there. Bittrex is just fine, if people want to buy Cloak then they'll have to come to bittrex to do so PS. Polo sucks, it sucked when it first started and still sucks now. Yes it's better to focus on one exchange and make this one the "home" any other exchanges might add oder might not add Cloak. it's up 2 them I wouldn't push it. Promote Cloak on bittrex as it's home exchange! |

How is staking working? Since the fork yesterday I kept my wallet open and nothing stakes?
On the right bottom there's a button where it says "expected time to earn reward is 16h". This is there since yesterday.
After the fork I had to use repairwallet in the console and there are mined cloak from a staking process before I installed the new wallet. But these ones don't get confirmations.
Did you upgrade your wallet to 1.9.2 deaddrop? I downloaded from the website www.cloakcoin.com. The version is cloakcoin-qt-1.9.2-windows.zip Is there another download link?
