Hello Everybody,
It has been a while since anything has happened here. We have put a lot of work into Quarkbar and Frycoin and they're still going. The hosting for the explorers and the website will run out in a couple of weeks. Are there still people here that want us to continue and are perhaps willing to contribute something to keep things online?

only 3 day remain,.... dev..come on. Three days? Bittex wil delete their XCash-Wallt on April 1th,...so the dev should give us an adress to save the coins. If you just read one page back, you can read an instruction on how to create a normal wallet address: You go to the debug console and type:

I apologize, I got held up with work to pay the bills , so its hard to get on here, but I'm still interested in this coin or the new version of it anyways. There are a few things that are going to need to be made clear in regards to the current xCash holders. Integrating the old coin value into the new coin I plan on attempting will be difficult if I attempt to do it directly. By directly I mean, add into the code special conditions to look at the existing xCash online database and transfer etc... Therefore, we'll have to come to some community assessment for how we plan to transfer xCash holders to the new coin. I do have a few ideas for how it could be done. Since the amount of major xCash holders is so small this should not be too difficult to do. Possible Ideas1.) We put the xCash funds into an address online that is public and visible for xCash holders currently. I can then hardcode an equivalent amount of currency to preexisting addresses in the blockchain of the new coin I create. As long as this is public knowledge which funds are going to what addresses and we are open about that here I think it will be okay for the coin just starting out. Pros- Very easy to transfer funds
- Proof you will receive funds within the blockchain of the new coin
Cons- Requires trust that I will integrate into the new coin
This is the first idea I have so far, I'll put more as I think of them, but I want to do something to reward the current holders of xCash and transfer them over as best as possible. I say go with this one. Very sensible, indeed. We should probably also decide if we want to make the new coin mineable or make it PoS. I think PoW is better.

Drupal Meetup PresentationRobert spoke at an Indianapolis meetup about FoldingCoin and the marketplace we're planning on creating. We edited the recording so you can also see the slides he was showing. It is a little over an hour and it gives you the opportunity to get up to speed with everything! We appreciate it when you share and like this video!

Robert gave a presentation at a Drupal Meetup in Indianapolis of which a video was made. I hope I can launch the video this weekend or even tonight. Robert explains the coin very well and also offers an insight into the marketplace we're planning to build. More soon

And its frozen now at Poloniex Yes, that's because I notified them about the potential issue. It's much better that we get this sorted out properly first than have to try deal with it later. It could just be one of the block explorers messing up or something. I'm not sure. I'm guessing though that it might have something to do with the update though. Maybe everyone who knows people mining GMC should reach out to them and make sure everyone is mining on the same chain and are fully updated and such. I think one of the block explorers did not update so is on the old fork. The one with a block time of 90 seconds is the correct one.

Thanks,,, CS had said : "I cannot use a stealth address" so, how can I get a normal address? in OP the same types Yes got the same problem how to get a normal add not a stealth add ? I heard from their support how you can get the address they want. You go to the debug console and type: You can only do it by creating A normal address in your wallet and send it there. I tried but the wallet is not working properly it is out of sync i've also lost some coins because of this. Do you have the latest version of the wallet? Mine is version .15 and it is synching.

Pulse sounds like an intriguing feature. Can I ask that the OP be updated to explain what it actually is? I had to look through more than 20 pages to find details of it.
{ "height" : 265000, "rate" : 120, "min-rate" : 30, "min-value" : 50000, "min-fee" : 25, "factor" : false, "explicit" : false }
If I understand the white paper correctly,
height = height after which Pulse is applied (ie a hard fork point) rate = unconditionally allow block minting once 120 seconds has passed since the last block, even if the Pulse conditions are not satisfied min-rate = disallow allow block minting if last block was minted less than 30 seconds ago (regardless of Pulse conditions) min-value = conditional: allow immediate minting if cumulative value of pending transactions exceeds 50000 FRY (subject to min-rate) min-fee = conditional: allow immediate minting if cumulative fees of pending transactions exceeds 25 FRY (subject to min-rate) factor = ? explicit = ?
So putting it simply:
1. If there are no pending transactions (mempool empty) AND it has been less than 120 seconds since the last block was minted, any PoW solutions found will be rejected by the client. After 120 seconds, any new (valid) PoW solution will be accepted.
2. If there are pending transactions which satisfy either value or fee conditionals, AND it has been at least 30 seconds since the last block was minted, any new (valid) PoW solution will be accepted by the client.
Am I understanding this correctly?
Hi, You get it exactly right. We created this feature for Quarkbar and also implemented it in Frycoin. This graohic shows the block creation: I'll ask the OP to add some more info. You can read a lot about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587457.0

Quarkbar is still alive. We hope Pulse will guarantee the stability. Any suggestions for the coin?

I'm working on getting GMC integrated in to mobile games. After basic integration with the Game Payments Platform we'll focus on getting a fiat gateway created that people can use to purchase crypto. Lots of people are already familiar with in-game credits now since mobile games are so popular. So it shouldn't be much of a stretch to introduce people to cryptocurrency since it can behave in a similar way in games. And GMC should be well positioned to take advantage of that since its primary focus will be on gaming. As a skeptical person I have to say... that is genius! :-)

This coin is still quite young, so I'd rather wait.

Having issues moving coins from bittrex to cryptsy, due to an invalid address. Where can I find this debug console?
You can only use it in your own wallet, so probably best to first move it there.

FOLDINGCOIN RECEIVES MAJOR DONATIONAs you might know, we were running out of funds for distribution and are also in need for money to pay for official non-profit legal registrations, hosting, etc. Robert has been actively talking to local companies in Indiana that would like to donate money to the non-profit. We received a major donation from longtime supporter A&O Irrigation in Indianapolis, so we are safe for now!
