941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who should own a demo account? on: November 26, 2023, 04:29:25 PM
There is no restriction to who can own a Demo trading account, a new trader or an expert trader. I know many traders may feel like they are now bigger than demo accounts, and only new traders should have demo accounts for demo trades, but I think that to avoid losses still, expert traders should also have demo accounts for trying out new strategies before they try it live. What do you think?
I have not used a demo account before. I prefer to use like $1 to test new strategy and see it in a way that is not demo.

Do you as an experienced trader that has made profit from the market repeatedly, do you still have a demo account for trying out new strategies?
Demo account will let a trader not to be a good trader because the trader will trade without no emotion involved. But it is for beginners. When I was a beginner, I used $0.25 to a open position and it helped. So beginners do not also need demo if they can use small amount of money like $1 to practice.

943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 26, 2023, 07:10:12 AM
I don’t think there’s any need for me to go to a casino because of an ad I saw somewhere, I don’t know for others but I prefer to stick with the ones that have managed to build their reputation with forum members and also those that I can have a discussion with directly with their representatives rather than a random site.
Ads is not the problem at times, but inability for users to make research to know if a gambling site is having good reputation online not. Good sites too are marketing their services with ads, I can see many of local gambling sites on ads online. But you are also right, this is what some scammers will take advantage of and Google and some sites will also still help market them for some people to become their victims and be scammed.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin purchase using proceeds of a sold asset on: November 26, 2023, 05:48:58 AM
There are many other ways someone can buy bitcoin. He can buy bitcoin from his salary or the money he is earning. He does not need to sell his property like house before he should think he can buy bitcoin. CZ bought bitcoin when the price was very low and people have not adopted the coin like of this day. He should not sell his house or property, he should look for other ways to buy bitcoin instead.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Closing Central Bank is Non-negotiable says pro-bitcoin Argentina Pres Milei on: November 26, 2023, 05:40:10 AM
However, my question is, if he's going to be shutting down the central bank, what will be the instrument he will put in place of the bank or is he willing to establish a ‘Bitcoin Bank’ or what exactly?
Probably the country may be using a foreign currency, or have a fiat that uses the average prices of some strong foreign currencies. This is just a guess.

And later bitcoin may also be a legal tender in Argentina.

Well what is the point of the central bank now that their currency is useless. You keep the central bank and they issue new notes, most likely the same inflation problem will happen.
The central bank have function, but inflation is the indication of bad economy which their government is responsible for. They can tell their central bank not to inflate their currency and let their economy to collapse.
946  Other / Archival / Re: Improving proposal for trust system on: November 26, 2023, 05:28:04 AM
What are you proposing? As I read what your have in OP and you other post, I did not understand what you are proposing What are you proposing?

I like how the trust system has been, I wonder how theymos was able to come to the idea used to make up to trust system. The trust system is also doing a good work and it is in a way that no admin or moderator or staff have control over unless there is something absurd going on.

Regardless of what you are proposing, just see this as a waste of time, although your campaign manager will pay for it, but the trust system is good as it is.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best game with a cryptocurrency deposit? on: November 26, 2023, 12:13:51 AM
Almost all games that fiat gambling sites have today, crypto gambling sites are also having them. So why referring to the best game with cryptocurrencies? Also that individuals have preference for something. The game that you like might be the game that I hate most. Also the game that I like might be the game that you hate most.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 25, 2023, 08:09:09 PM
It's now a must for every casino under the law to require KYC. So, I can't say for sure if there's any need for having the best country, where KYC can be bypassed or for crypto gambling.
But there are still some casinos and other gambling sites, especially the new and not well known gambling sites that are providing gambling services that do not require KYC. These gambling sites that I am talking about are centralized. They can force any of their customers to do KYC at anytime though, but they are no KYC gambling sites.

Also are other gambling sites that are web3. Web3 do not require KYC.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: November 25, 2023, 01:55:53 PM
TRC-20 is cheap, and bep20 is also cheap. In some exchanges, the fee to withdraw is almost the same thing, which is equivalent to $1 to withdraw out of the exchange. If you withdraw $150, you will receive $149 minus the $1 fee.
On Binance exchange, BEP20 transactions are cheaper, but it can be of the same fee on other exchanges. In over all that I have seen, BEP20 is cheaper.

On noncustodial wallet, BEP20 is cheaper.

Most widely used for USDT, TRC20.
950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss ? on: November 25, 2023, 08:28:32 AM
There are two that I know and they are:

  • stop limit
  • stop loss

Stop limit is used for spot trading in a way you can buy an unstable coin with stable coin and later automatically buy back the stable coin at certain price if you are losing. Assuming the price of a coin to USDT is $1. You use stop limit for the coin and the limit price your set is $0.9 while the stop price is $0.91. That means if the price of the coin fall to $0.91, the coin should be converted back to the stable coin at $0.9. The stop price should be slightly higher than the limit price that you set.

But the question that you asked which is stop loss, it is used in derivative trading. To be specific, it is used in perpetual and future trading. If you open a long position with a coin at price of $1 and you set the stop loss to be $0.9, if the price of the coin fall to $0.9, your long position will close and you will not further lose again. If you open a short position with a coin at $1 and you set stop loss to be $1.1, if the coin increase in price and reach $1.1, your position will close and you will not further lose.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 25, 2023, 08:14:12 AM
There are some old people in my family which are paying cricket fantasy games. They usually talk about the games and their performance is matches almost daily. It is obvious that if any younger guy in family will listen about this, he will also be eager to know more about this. How can I stop the younger generation in my family being carried away by this and focus on other important things like studies only ?
Let us get this right. The old men are playing cricket game for fun or they are using it to gamble? But let me assume that you mean that they are using it to gamble because if they are just playing the game for fun, there is nothing bad for your child to also know some things about sport in life, not everything is about studying, life is also about exposure.

If the old men are using it to gamble, the only thing that you can do is to encourage your child, let him know what gambling is and how some people can be addicted. Let me tell you something, the problem is not about gambling, but about addiction. Just always advise your child how gambling can lead to addiction and what can come out of addiction.

You advise will let him know not to waste money on gambling and the child may likely even not gamble and if he later gamble, he will still remember your advice not to get addicted.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblin with crypto because taxation makes no sense? on: November 24, 2023, 11:22:18 PM
I also think that the governments are cheating their citizens, gamblers can win or lose, but gambling sites are the ones that are constantly winning and making money from customers. In that sense, only those gambling sites are supposed to be taxed, not the gamblers.

It would be better if the government want to tax gamblers, the government also supposed to pay the percentage taxed of the amount the gamblers are losing. I mean assuming the tax is 10%, if gamblers lose money, government also supposed to pay 10% to the gamblers of the amount they lose. This will make taxing gamblers justifiable.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 24, 2023, 04:14:34 PM
The rich people source of income are not gambling, they are only having fun with gambling, but the poor are not having fun with gambling but to to win is what they want. Which means the rich people are not desperate when it comes to gambling unlike the poor that want to hit a jackpot.
954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have anyone heard about a platform called Adswage? on: November 24, 2023, 03:56:49 PM
Just avoid this site, it is a scam. Yes it is a scam site.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: November 24, 2023, 07:47:03 AM
Personally, I firmly believe that there are people who have achieved real success in gambling. What perplexes me is why many discourage gambling as a means of making money. Instead of outright saying no, they could guide gamblers with the right strategies on how to stay disciplined, enhance skills, minimize the risk of bankruptcy, and increase the chances of winning.
I start to doubt if you are gambling. I have been gambling since February 2014 and I know a lot about gambling when it comes to profit and loss. It is good to let people know the bad side. Nobody is discouraging gambling, but newbies should know that gambling is not a way of earning income, this is where the addiction starts. As for most people, the success in gambling is not actually the money you make from it, it is what you achieved from it and a way you will be able to avoid losses with the money you can not afford to lose by not using such money to gamble.
956  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can government track us. on: November 23, 2023, 08:41:21 PM
If I wanted to know something from people on this community, can government track us if we questions against there rules and laws or if they find it inappropriate.
It depends on how you communicated it. If it is through social media, you know how centralized and how they know your IP address used for connection. Once you know the work of Tor and how to block your real identity from being known to people, then it is possible. To be more anonymity, you may need some other special tools, but I am not that sure.

Governments have the tools to track anyone if they want to,  with decentralized coins like Bitcoin of the bitcoin is stored in your private wallet,  with your secret wallet keys,  it may be hard for them to track it but that is not the same with some centralized coins like USDT which is centralized and can be frozen even in your wallet.
Do not assume it would be hard if you are using your IP address.
957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If i have 1k how to trade future on: November 23, 2023, 07:44:48 AM
The only safe leverage is 1:1 which is no leverage at all.
1x leverage is also leverage.

You are not wrong that using leverage is highly risky and that 1x margin ratio is better. But it also depends, because some people may have $1000 but trade with leverage like 0.5x or low. From 0.5x leverage, that means using $500 to trade from $1000. This is done by traders that do not want ti risk too much money on trading.

958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance reaches deal to pay $4.3B settlement to American regulators on: November 23, 2023, 07:33:16 AM
Well we knew SBF was a criminal as soon as his claimed bankruptcy last November. But nobody would of expected CZ to actually be charged with all this.
Did you know the meaning of violating the anti money laundering law? CZ violated it and it may worth being jailed, but was not jailed. He was instead told that Binance should pay a settlement of $4.3 billion and he was granted bail which means he can still be arrested again.

His exchange was actually fairly honest and never scammed or defrauded individuals. This is why it was a shock to many and many are saying is was blackrock that claimed this needs to happen for the bitcoin etf to get approved. Binance just was way too big and they want the market share to separate.
Binance has been a good exchange though but there is nothing Blackrock has to do with this. If Binance is existing, Blackrock will still begin providing bitcoin spot ETF to their customers. Also not that Binance has stopped operation.
959  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If i have 1k how to trade future on: November 23, 2023, 12:51:41 AM
The leverage you should use will depend on the coins you want to trade. There are some altcoins that do not need leverage at all. There are some that require you to trade with less than your trading fund.  But if you are talking about bitcoin, it depends on how good you are but do not go more than 3x.
960  Economy / Exchanges / Re: $86m+ stolen from HECO bridge. ANOTHER Justin Sun service HACKED on: November 22, 2023, 04:04:36 PM
HTX (known before as Huobi global) was said to have suspended deposit and withdrawal. I have no fund there and I do not bother to login into my HTX account. But it was said that all losses are going to be covered.

It was also not long when HTX was hacked. It is just of recent.

As for me, I can never use anything like Heco chain.
