I think the fact that many people are sitting and waiting for this dip we are all waiting for may some of the reason it doesn't seem to be happening.

As time goes one, more and more give up waiting and start buying in, which seems to be holding the price up.  If the price starts rising significantly,FOMO may take over and many of those people with CASH on the exchanges waiting for the dip may start buying creating a decent pump.

Im starting to suspect that the majority of the bitcoin buying keeping the price up is traders getting into ALTs.

I think likes you that a lot of peoples are buying BTC only to speculate on the altcoin market. But the goal for most of traders remain the same: getting more BTC.
It's a kind of new world for most of us because it's hard to trade on stock markets (often costly, unreachable, with closing hours). Cryptocurrencies never stops and it only take minutes to start trading.

I believe we broke some resistance lines that will push the price between 1200-1300USD for a double top, then we will test the low support which should be between 800-900USD according to fibo.

Bitcoin --> Bitstamp --> Compte offshore

Hey guys. I wrote this guide on how to avoid scam ICOs. You can check it out here:

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/how-to-avoid-scam-icos/

These two posts are also very good and helped me complete the guide:

Excellent article, that link should be pinned on the Altcoin's Annoucements forum !
Good job @kanoptx
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: March 21, 2017, 09:32:32 AM
Bitcoin's Lighting Network will be the fastest.
Maybe Ethereum's Raiden Network aswell.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/5vn8r8/someone_is_currently_chaining_12k_btc_over_and/
https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/address/15tYFmUV6wG4e1Gbi1buxBM9zSQzcWSkiK
https://blockchain.info/address/15tYFmUV6wG4e1Gbi1buxBM9zSQzcWSkiK

952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zerocoin implementation bug on: February 21, 2017, 02:16:11 PM
All this has been for expecting, and who know how all this is going to be ended. I don't understand only how Bittrex did not found those code mistakes, they also can be endangered this way. I thought, they checks code before adding it.

They are checking codes only to find malicious, it's not a full review.
953  Local / Économie et spéculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF on: February 20, 2017, 01:18:49 PM
Je me pose quand même quelques questions :

954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves platform on: February 17, 2017, 01:34:34 PM
Hello guys, I believe you are experts here so can you help me answer some questions? Smiley
1, In what category is the coin first? In what category coin promotes itself?
2, What new features this coin creates? How is it unique?
3, Are promises kept by devs?
4, Are features on roadmap delivered regularly?
5, What is overall state of development?
6, Can I find somewhere number of transactions?
7, Where can I find their github?

According to Q2, Q5, Q6 & Q7, I think you must do a little research by yourself.
However, I still can answer to some of your questions

3. Yes atm
4. Yes, but they are late on some stuff
5. Still a lot of work but it's going good so far
6. Not sure you can find a site that count all TX, but here a blockchain explorer: http://www.wavesgo.com/
7. https://github.com/wavesplatform/

I'm just unable to download the blockchain, I'm downloading around 1% every 5 hours, meanwhile the chain keep growing.

Is the team working on a solution because all my tokens are just stuck.

For me as a full blown tech noob it was really hard and annoying to get the lite client running.
Now i could not transfer any coins from trex, played around with that "1W" but still no success.

It feels a bit unfair that the tech barrier is high for noobs like me to earn WCT, can anyone shoot me a link on how to transfer them from trex?
Also, is it possible to secure the lite client via 2FA?

Thanks, guess i will try to cath the next distribution round.

The lite client is easy to use, if you're stuck with it, you'll have hard time managing your tokens. You need to learn how to use it

Download the lite client and create a new wallet. Just copy and parse your wallet address on Bittrex to withdraw your coins (forget the 1W thing).

No (not yet?)

BTW Weekly #26 has been released:
http://coremedia.info/index.php/waves-news/item/384-waves-weekly-no-26

Quote
Waves’ decentralised exchange (DEX) is functional and being tested. Buy/sell orders can be created and placed in the OrderBook via the API on testnet. The backend is essentially ready now, with only a few minor known bugs to be fixed to improve the API. As ever, community members are invited to help with testing and bounties are available for successful bug hunters. The priority now is to create a user-friendly frontend for integration into the lite client.
