since i started to mine @ ban s0br pays up till the recent bad luck streak. imo, the hack issue has been sometime so not an excuse.

i'd say it's more to a bad luck streak of 5 days & still counting.

my main acct is still unpaid with a Pending Payout of 0.25824434 & secondary acct with a Pending Payout of 0.12369235

let's hope the "luck" comes back soon so everyone gets paid but hitting a block or 2 will not be sufficient for the backlog so couple more blocks to sort it out, looks like a snowball effect is in place atm.

I've also pulled out mining at my own p2pool, it has been also slow for p2pool but only for 3 days or so then 1 block yesterday & today & the hashrate were about the same as BAN.

Best of luck to BAN & i've got a feelin' daddy kool is coming.

I will never forget the day my laptop started playing Daddy Cool in sleep mode. I had no idea what was going on! I do hope the pool pulls out of this tail spin. I will keep a eye on the pool and may come back if they get the payments worked out.

I was asking for a good back-up pool!

Are you not on betarigs?

Well then for back up pool DFish would be my choice as you will get paid 96% of your hash in between rental periods.

A PPS pool is what makes sence for back up.
963  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool for a renter, leasing rig on: January 27, 2015, 07:03:47 PM
WestHash, if your in the US, you can rent your hash. You can also use DFish for a PPS pool or CK Pool for a PPLNS payouts.

The pool operator from the start let it be known the pool was only going to be a tool for another business purpose

Just going to point out that this is how most Bitcoin ponzis and scams have started.  Somebody with "another business purpose" which they won't discuss in any detail, and out of the goodness of their hearts is deciding to share some of their profits with everybody else for no reason at all.

Not saying that is what is happening here, but you should *NEVER* join something where there is a too-good-to-be-true reward (110% PPS = the operator is losing 10% *OR MORE* in the long run for every share you submit) with the explanation for its existence being "another business purpose".

I agree but this was a non issue for a very long time as my payments came every 2 hours. When the few time there was a hiccup and it was late I moved my miners. I will say the pool always has paid everything in the past but I am afraid the pool is now digging itself to deep of a hole which will be hard to get out of. The pool has also taken the neccesary steps of stop paying any bonus. But with the string of bad luck it still got to be hurting.
965  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: January 27, 2015, 12:40:54 PM
For those who have mined with BAN before. What is the longest run you've seen without finding a block?
This is it.

CKPool is at 68+ hours without a block and it had double the pool hash rate than BAN.  Tongue This dry spell for BAN is really going to hurt getting payments to the miners on the pool.
It was almost 600% diff when the block was found - that's the number that actually means anything Smiley
CDF was 0.9974

... as for the PPS risk of paying more than the pool will generate ... well ... that's something a few of us stated long ago but were told how we didn't know anything about "economics" ... oh well. The current situation here is about ... the expected statistics ... as a few of us have said a few times in this thread Tongue
Your right... Tongue.

The pool operator from the start let it be known the pool was only going to be a tool for another business purpose and as long as the pool paid the payments on time I didnt care that they paid a 10% bonus or that the pool had to buy BTC to make payments. Being a PPS pool I really don't care if or how many blocks are found. The problem is now the pool seems to only be paying payments after a bock is found and confirmed. So it seems the pool dynamics have changed and you have to question with such a streak of bad luck weather the pool will be able to pay in full as it seems the pool is no longer buying BTC to make up any shortfalls. It also makes you wonder if this is just bad luck or something else going on. That is why I moved on.

i see the s5 now.. its rolling..

We been weeks trying to get several pools to work just yesterday i finally got to compile the CoiniumServ and test drove it for a little We came back to the p2pool seems to run smoother..

Ya when I pasted the address in I left a space in front. I will let them run a while and see how they do.
970  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Stop by our pool give us feed back on: January 27, 2015, 09:39:12 AM
S5 will not work. It shows pool as dead. I put the pools IP in the S5 but the miner inputs the stratum+tcp:// in front of the pools address automatically . Not sure yet how to stop the miner from doing this?

Got it now...I had a space in front of the address.

changed it over to a separate wallet address from the S3

We noticed you and sent you a Hello! = )

LOL I just seen that. TY

S3 looks like its running good there. will try a S5 and see how it looks.

We wanted to E-vite you all to come take a look at what we have so far using the P2Pool setup.

Let us know what you think of our work so far! Thanks...

I move one S3 to your pool to try it out,  seeing your so close to me (South Bend, IN here).

975  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2x antminer S3+ or 1 antminer s5? on: January 26, 2015, 08:37:09 PM
I will go to S5, power efficiency is 0.51 J/Gh.
S3+ power efficiency is 0.78 J/Gh

Oh, i did not see that, hehehehhe
i thought they were the same..

Thank you very much again Zich for your helps!
and
God Bless!!!!!
Just be prepared for the added noise from the fan of the S5 over the S3 but besides it being more efficient it is easier to change freq to over/under clock. The S5 is just a fun miner.
976  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 26, 2015, 02:55:20 AM

For some reason this thought does not register, but it is a bit silly to immediately adjust the dollar price to any movement in BTC/$ ratio.
Why not price it in BTC, then?

Agreed.  That was the original thought process behind these bitcoin companies.  It used to be fun thinking you were getting a deal because the price was set in bitcoin, and $/btc went higher.  Hard the believe the companies that gain the most from bitcoin won't use it as the currency.

I am wondering if Bitmain has the price of the miner tied to BTC AND difficulty as well. With difficulty going back down and BTC going up, the life span of profitability has been extended  so they feel the miner is worth more?
977  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: January 26, 2015, 12:43:51 AM
Was thinking of moving about 25Th/s over myself, too bad the latest on this thread is negative, sounds like I should stay away..

Only you can decide that. I hate to talk negative but I only am being truthful as I was such a strong defender of the pool. You may want to go to the IRC chat and ask questions there so you can talk to the admin and then make a decision.
978  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: January 25, 2015, 11:55:52 PM
yeah I had to bail and really wanted to stay until feb 2 but just too long without a payment.

I understand...almost 4 days without the pool finding a block is hurting the payments big time. Digging a big hole and pool hash rate dropping....

bitmain again increased the price of S5.
maybe they should price them in BTC if thay want to track BTC price ?

Was thinking the same thing. Was waiting for BTC to go up before ordering and I guess it didn't matter.

They need to bring back that 15% discount
vote with your money - don't buy until they reduce it back.

btw maybe someone will make SP20 groupbuy?

Was going to pick up a few more with the cupons.  I will hold off.

The forum went down and bitcoin.info went down so i waited. oh well.
Seems we are all in the same boat. But I agree to vote with your money... if I don't buy another its not the end of the world for me.
