A heads up to anyone in the US having these shipped via the new FedEx option to save a few bucks. I have been called/emailed multiple times today from FedEx asking what a 'Bitcoin miner' is. The latest is an attempt to have me fill out some FCC form (which I have refused to do.) I don't know if I will be receiving my shipment next week via FedEx. I will update the thread with results.
If you want hassle free delivery in the US, I recommend sticking with UPS for the time being.
UPDATE: I was able to state to them in an email that the unit is FCC/CE certified for emissions (which it is by Bitmain) and they accepted that.
FedEx called me today on my S5 shipment. I told them it was a specialized computer. He said he needed to know if it was FCC compliant. When I told him it was not a wireless device, he quickly was happy.
Passed on the feedback, thanks.

Good to know. All they need to know is that it is a computer. FedEx called me today on my S5 shipment. I told them it was a specialized computer. He said he needed to know if it was FCC compliant. When I told him it was not a wireless device, he quickly was happy. That's weird, you actually need FCC compliance for all electronics regardless of whether or not it's a wireless device. The FCC doesn't just care about intentional radiators, the also are tasked with regulating unintentional radiators. Not that the FedEx guy probably cares. He just wants an answer that lets him get the box moving again in his system.

what's a big deal with a form? It is basically an importer doc-it cost nothing. They only ask for it once-I did it for a competitors machine one time and then it was OK later on. Our order was held by FedEx. They required our EIN. Perhaps due to size of order/dollar amount. Now... What do I do with these stock S5 Fans??? Strato You can use your SSN in place of EIN if you are a sole proprietorship or personal import. I act as a corporation; so either way it gets tracked to my K1. Strato

UPS does also. I've seen it a lot in tracking. The US gov't requires an SSN or EIN for imports over a certain amount to track everything people do. Supposed to be to combat tax evasion and money laundering but they want too much information on what people do.

That is a shroud "Hollow" 120mm delta fan with the air blades still on the back AND THAT IS THE STOCK S5 FAN IN THE PICTURE!!!
Appears an interesting conclusion, though I've no access to dead Delta fans! A bummer! BTW: I was granted a coupon by Bitmain, but when I tried to order my wallet refused to allow me payment access. So that provides a challenge, but more immediately, my coupon disappeared! IE. if you put up your coupon and the order fails, then you lose the coupon! Damn!

Well, since "Searching is temporarily disabled", I should ask here. Sorry if it has been already asked, but can we somehow set/modify voltage for further S5 overclocking?
We all know that at frequency 400 hashrate stop to grow, so may be rising the voltage we can achieve higher hashrate?

I am not sure that is entirely correct as I've managed to squeeze marginally more @ 412.5 than at 400 albeit with a significantly higher HW % rate at the former freq. But as has been suggested above, I believe an increase in voltage can yield a better rate, however, I have not seen any guidance as to how high(er) we can safely over-volt these strung units.

I did 412.5 over 1310gh with 2 oem fans one pulling 1 pushing in a cold room 50 f /10 c with very few errors. I did not bother testing more as the sound was a issue. if you can get a 32f 0c room and use 2 oem fans you can do 425- 431 with no extra volts.

Never mind a "room", I've got mine in a garden shed, and it feels like -1 out there now! Only difference is I only have a pull fan scavenged from one of my decomissioned S3's (.... stock fan was a DOA and never turned at all in anger). Temps are 43 / 51 at the moment and doing ~1350Gh/s average 20hrs with 0.0094% HW @ 412.5 as opposed to 0.0009% @ 400.

bitmain again increased the price of S5.

They are digging the grave, only to yourself. Today the cost of 3 x S5 with shipping to me was 4 BTC 945.448 USD Now it is 4.225 BTC ( 1038.448 USD ) +20% VAT =1246 USD Better I buy 3 x SP20 for 1195 USD and I ask the bill for customs 600USD . Yes, I Pay 100 USD more, But for the miner, what not need to rebuild. And having a closed housing , not a open fireplace.

Yes, I Pay 100 USD more, But for the miner, what not need to rebuild. And having a closed housing , not a open fireplace. +1. purchased a trio of SP20 today. Ive had both it and the S5, and my thoughts for what was better: S5: 0.5w/gh, even up to 1.3TH+ , LOUD fan with no ability to adjust pwm settings. Getting the fan to run at 7V reasonably cools the unit at 375MHz in a 20C room. SP20: far better design, cables are all on the front face, little less efficient at 1.2-1.3TH, but capable of ~0.45w/gh when underclocked below 1TH. can overclock if an increase in BTC value makes the added electrical draw worthwhile. Can set the fan to any speed The SP20 is a better product, capable of similar specs at 1.25TH as the S5, and manually turning the clock to 10-15% is sufficient at that hashrate with similar volume to a 7v antminer fan. The antminer has to compete in price to stay relevant.
