961  Economy / Economics / Re: What month 2018 will bitcoin price increase by eight times, just like Nov. 2013? on: December 25, 2017, 01:22:09 PM
If the prices increase by 8x once more, then the exchange rates will be close to $120,000 per coin, and the market cap will be around $3 trillion. Is that even possible? Right now there is no company listed in the stock markets around the world, that is worth $3 trillion or even half of that amount. And it represents almost 40% of the gold market capitalization.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 25, 2017, 01:07:12 PM
The 4th test match between Australia and England starts tomorrow on Boxing Day. Australia will start as favourites in this match. The pre-match barbs have already started, with England saying that Australia lack depth in their bowling and will face problems when their fast bowlers are injured. But in the end, Australia are up 3-0 and will look at whitewashing England in this series.

Tomorrow got other matches as well. Only text match between South Africa and Zimbabwe. This will be a very easy guessing game and we can make some profit from this match by putting on SA to win this match. Not sure about the weather report so better check that before betting otherwise match may end in a draw.

The third one-day match between New Zealand and West Indies. NZ already won the first two matches and this match also NZ will win because WI team is not so good at the movement.

I am not even interested in the South Africa vs Zimbabwe match. SA is going to win and everyone knows it. Even if we bet in favor of SA, the returns are not going to be that great. Now let's talk about the NZ vs WI match. Last time, Trent Boult destroyed the windies batting lineup. He is in great form, along with the other Kiwi quicks such as Ferguson. I will be betting for a NZ win tomorrow.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: December 25, 2017, 01:04:04 PM
Just admit that luck has deserted you. If you gamble further, then there is a 45% to 49% chance that you will end up with a profit. But I don't know whether that profit will be enough to make up for your previous losses or not. And still, the most probable outcome will be that you will incur another set of losses. So take my advice, and stay out of it.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: December 24, 2017, 12:51:09 PM
Great win by the Minnesota Timberwolves again if it wasn't for Jimmy Butler's hassle plays the Phoenix Suns will have won against them again. Erasing a 22 point lead after the 1st half you know that the Timberwolves always get a little bit careless when they reach a double digit lead. The bad thing about the game is that only 4 benches of the Timberwolves played that Shabazz Muhammad and Cole Aldrich are being paid just to be in the bench which Aldrich is having one of the most overpaid contracts out their 7,000,000$ for a bench not being used.

To their credit, the Phoenix Suns fought really hard in the 3rd quarter, with Troy Daniels and T.J. Warren helping them to close the gap. But unfortunately their performance was not good enough against Jimmy Butler & Co. Phoenix Suns are now in the 13th position and only the Memphis Grizzlies and the useless Dallas Mavericks are behind them.
965  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in a crypto currency casino (Just-Dice) on: December 24, 2017, 12:42:39 PM
CLAM has gone from $0.82 to $8.85 in a year. Add to that what you would have made in CLAM by investing them on Just Dice. Obviously that 0.82 to 8.85 return isn't sustainable.

In my calculations I'm assuming that the market cap in USD stays stable, and that profits come from staking more than you "should" (thanks to most CLAM not being used to stake) and from gamblers's losses at the casino. If you also consider that the market cap is going to increase, then investing in Just Dice is even better.

The exchange rates have risen just because of the hoarding by Just-Dice. When they face a financial emergency and decides to dump the coins, the prices will crash by 90% or more. I have checked the price patterns of CLAM. And it looks like a currency for which the prices have been artificially inflated, by keeping only a limited portion in free-float.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: December 24, 2017, 12:39:29 PM
What is the best way for bet and win against the house???

The best way to bet and win in any gambling site is for you to wish that lady luck is standing right before you, winning against the house is almost impossible but you still have a 50% chance to win, dont trust the martingale method it doesnt work as others claim.

I agree with you. I have tried the martingale method, and lost money in it (multiple times). I have tried a lot many methods, but none of them seems to be successful. Everything depends on your luck. After taking in to account the house edge, you may be having a 45% to 49% chance for a win. Just place your bets hoping for the best.
967  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen $20 withdrawal fee on: December 24, 2017, 12:35:56 PM
Is nitrogensports holding bitcoincash still, or did they spend it for themselves? Each bitcoin cash coin is now worth $3500 each.  They are having a big party with their users coins.

They made off like bandits.  This is a shady casino as far as I'm concerned.

You can verify for yourself that they haven´t sold the BCH so far.

Therefore it is still possible that they are going to do the right thing and distribute
the Bitcoin Cash balances to all users, who had a BTC balance at Nitrogensports
at the snapshot date.

Coinbase tried to do the same (they refused to credit their users with BCH initially). But they were forced to reconsider that decision, after multiple lawsuits were filed against them in Miami. I am not sure whether Nitrogen is based, but if the American users complain against them, then they will be facing lawsuits in the American courts.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 24, 2017, 12:31:10 PM
Seriously? Shocked I wouldn't do that with any doubt!

I don't think that anyone here would dare to disagree. The basic rule with investment is that you should take risk only up to a level, where you can afford to lose Selling your house to make investment in Bitcoin is not something that a normal minded person would do. Even if there is a 1% chance of losing your money, you should refrain from such decisions.
969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: December 24, 2017, 12:27:13 PM
I read somewhere that the supercomputers will be able to crack the Bitcoin private keys in about 10 years from now. So I would say that holding your coins beyond 2027 is quite risky (if the core developers are against implementing a hard fork, which eradicates this possibility). If such a thing happens, then one of the altcoins will be replacing Bitcoin.
970  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can I earn bitcoin using facebook, youtube, or in any social media? on: December 24, 2017, 12:24:40 PM
You can earn Bitcoins, but you need to work hard for it. But first you need to boost up your social media accounts. It will be good to have at least 500 followers in both Twitter and Facebook (and trust me, if you are willing to spend $10, then you will get them within 48-72 hours). Also, creating a Telegram or Reddit account takes just a few minutes.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 24, 2017, 12:22:14 PM
Personnally I think that it either one person who is dead or a group of people that shared the key and one of them died.

I am also thinking that is is the most probable explanation why Satoshi has not been active since 2010. I am 99% sure that he is dead. And I don't think that Satoshi is a group of individuals rather than one person. Because the language of the white paper, forum posts.etc doesn't show any divergence. They follow the same pattern.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Futures on: December 24, 2017, 12:18:55 PM
Hello,

In my opinion, putting futures on liquid exchanges increases the likelihood of the US Securities and Exchange Commission to approve a stock exchange Bitcoin fund (ETF). This would attract more money to the already crowded market.
At the same time, it is possible for institutional investors, who are negative about the prospects of a Bitcoin, to use the futures market to put money in that direction.
Growth in the futures market places the Bitcoin more as a raw material than as a currency, and more so as an investment asset than as a technology that has the potential to change the finances.

IMO, Bitcoin ETFs will be having more impact on the exchange rates when compared to the Bitcoin futures. Because ETFs can increase the demand for Bitcoins, while with futures the situation is more balanced with the abundance of short-sellers. Hopefully, the first Bitcoin ETF will be approved sometime in Q1 or Q2 2018, and that will result in a spike in the prices.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: December 23, 2017, 07:17:19 PM
If there is a law or ruling that makes gambling a sin, then it will be a sin. But no one can prevent or arrest a person if he want to gamble unless his gambling activities is already harming other people.

No one can arrest a person for gambling, if that activity is legal in the jurisdiction in which he is residing. It doesn't matter whether he is harming others or not. If he loses his investment in gambling, then who will get hurt? The gambler himself and his family members. And how the general public or anyone else is going to be affected by this?
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC 219: Cyborg vs Holm. NEW EVENT!] The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 23, 2017, 07:11:14 PM
If I am not wrong, Cyborg is yet to lose a fight in the MMA. On the other hand, Holly Holm lost three matches consecutively (including UFC 209), before defeating Bethe Correia at UFC Fight Night 111. I am going to bet on Cyborg. On the other hand, Edson Barboza vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is going to be a tough call. I'd rather skip this one.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are the Big Gambling sites paying taxes? on: December 23, 2017, 07:02:47 PM
Most of the gambling sites are registered in countries such as Dominica and St.Kitts-Nevis, where there is no corporate tax. But at the same time, the users are liable to pay income tax on the earnings they receive from these sites, as they meet the residency requirement of the country in which they are living in. Actually this puts offline casinos at a disadvantage when compared to the online ones.
976  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC gone down today on: December 20, 2017, 04:55:21 PM
I thought that the prices would stabilize at somewhere around $17,000 per coin. But now the rates are sliding down once again and the current price is around $16,200 per coin. At the same time, Bitcoin Cash has breached all the previous records. Right now, it is trading at around $4,300 per coin. Two months back, it was trading at ~$300 per coin.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: December 20, 2017, 04:51:01 PM
It is true that it is one of the reason why the government is banning bitcoin because they can't control bitcoin and everyone who are doing transactions can remain anonymous. If people continue to use bitcoin in a bad way, a lot of people will have the wrong expression of bitcoin unless they will do a research about it first.

The government can't ban Bitcoins, because it is a virtual asset. It is just a bunch of codes. How the government can ban such an asset? However, they can make the lives of Bitcoin users miserable by serving them with tax notices and banning the conversion of Bitcoin to fiat (and vice-versa). They can also close down the crypto-currency exchanges.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bizarre news: One of the founders of bitcoin.com has sold all his bitcoin on: December 19, 2017, 12:16:03 PM
Co-founder of bitcoin.com Emil Oldenburg, is extremely skeptical of bitcoin’s future. He calls it the riskiest investment one can make at the moment and blames it on the market liquidity. He also has sold all his bitcoin and switched all of them to bitcoin cash. What do you think of this? Do you think this sort of news will drive people away from bitcoin and it will all fall off one day or he's just paranoid for no reason?

I am not much bothered about it. After all, he converted his Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash, rather than converting them to fiat. It is an interesting sign. I am OK as long as Bitcoin Cash benefits from the fall of Bitcoin. Because I have almost equal amounts of both BTC and BCH.
979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: December 19, 2017, 12:14:27 PM
Actually it's not very practical, September when the Chinese government banned the currency, and then the currency fell to 2000 Us dollar, but after 2 months already reached 10000 Us dollar, so can't be prohibited all countries in the currency.

Imagine the situation of the Chinese users right now. They were forced to sell their coins at $1,800 per coin. And the current exchange rate is almost 1,000% higher than that. The Chinese government is doing a great disservice to its own citizens, rather than anyone else.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: December 19, 2017, 11:53:19 AM
Oh god! Please keep religion out of this. I am not an avid gambler and I am someone who understands the negative consequences which can arise from addiction to gambling. But if you want some of your friends or relatives to give up gambling, then please point out the hard facts rather than using the religious blackmailing tactics.
