981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 08, 2023, 08:04:01 AM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not
When I was a kid in age 10 - 15 years old, my parents mostly did not allow me to touch money. They bought food, juice, water and other things I need for my life and my education, they did it because they want to protect me from many risk related to money.

They did give me very small amount of money each day just because they wanted me to enjoy childhood fun like buying a candy, ice cream then enjoy eating it with friends at school. That's all and with such small money, I can not do anything else.

I don't agree to let your kids knowing about trading too much as they have yet been able to earn money and at such ages, they should concentrate on learning. That is better for their later lives. They should have time to enjoy most interesting time in life of each person.

If parents can not control themselves in trading, why do they think of exposing their children with trading and believe that their children will be able to control emotion.

986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value till 2033? on: March 07, 2023, 03:35:16 AM
I was wondering that what could be the value of Bitcoin as Bitcoin Is always rising if we take a look at its peak chart from 2009 to 2023. And if it continues than what will be the price after 10 years and I am very curious to Know about this.
You can not say anything surely about price of Bitcoin in 2023, next 10 years. What you can say is simply prediction that mostly is not correct in reality.

The only thing you can say and it is true is How many bitcoins will be mined totally at 2032 halving block and how many bitcoins is left for mining until all 21M bitcoin is mined at 2140.

Controlled supply.
At the halving block in 2032, there are 98.44% bitcoin will be mined and after the end of that era in 2036, 99.22% of bitcoin will be mined. So from 2032 till 2140, there will be about 1.6% bitcoin in total supply will be mined in about 80 more years.

Price impacts for Bitcoin is huge as you see after next 3 more halvings, effects from halvings would be smaller than 2024 halving. If in 2020 bull run, Bitcoin reached to nearly $70,000, in 2032 I believe it will not be less than $150,000.

Another version of controlled supply but better presents effect of halving on miners, Equivalent Network Time

Binance Team Fretted Over Binance US Ties, Tried to Recruit Gary Gensler: WSJ

CZ is smart enough to know importance of the USA. market and he tried to connect to Gary Gensler and wanted to hire that man for Binance. He failed to do so but he is also smart enough to quickly realize the long term impacts from a trade war between the USA. and China which started years ago.

By all of his smartness, he reacted very quickly for Binance to shift Binance out of the USA. and open a local branch in the nation. It is helpful for Binance to minimize impacts from the trade war between two giants and help Binance operating better against fuds and regulatory problems in the USA.

Thats the thing, education is key. A lot people are attracted to Bitcoin by its market value.
Each person has unique reason to be interested in Bitcoin and to join this market. Nothing is wrong, bad or good by their first reason to join here.

They dont realise everything Bitcoin can offer besides being solely an investment.

And on investing for the future, its not just for weeks, months or even a year, its long term.
However, sometimes they don't mind what is Bitcoin all about. They simply feel convinced that Bitcoin is a tool to make them richer, and get richer quickly then they join. I used to feel very weird to know some people who buy, sell Bitcoin for about 2 years but did not know what is Bitcoin block explorer and don't know what is transaction hash (txid). They think after they make a transaction or withdraw their bitcoin from an exchange, it will be move quickly to a receiver. They have no knowledge about confirmation.

It means they must be educated more from very basics and they must be less lazy.

Forum is powered by SMF software and it's good to read documents for SMF software for general information. However, theymos customize some forum features and it's no better place to check it than in the forum.

Forum user avatar gives you most up to date information.

Select the avatar you want to upload. It must be no more than 120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size. It must be a non-animated PNG, GIF, or JPEG image. It must be safe for work. To remove your avatar, submit this form without choosing any file to upload.

It does not provide all information about accepted images here but about image type, it has enough information.

Animated avatars were disabled since February 2019.
OK, APNGs are now detected. Old ones are grandfathered for now, in part because people have ongoing campaigns, but in the future I might (or might not) go through and remove them.

That visualization tool reminds me about my childhood when I played such old style car racing games. I loved it when I was a kid but now this tool is not interesting with me.

Anyway if anyone need funny visualized tools, let's find them from [LIST] Bitcoin Visualization. Funny but not too useful.

Something is brewing in the Bitcoin world?
It happened many times in the past and it will appear again in future.

For the last 2-3 days I can I witness slow transactions and huge fees. I got used to 1sat/byte transactions and they always get through so I sent a couple of sats to myself
Cheap fee rate and cheap transaction fee won't last forever. You learned a lesson this time so let's be prepared better for next times. When transaction fee is cheap (means you can get a confirmation with lowest fee rates like 1 sat/vbyte or 2 sat/vbyte, you should move your bitcoin or consolidate your small inputs.

Take advantage of such time to consolidate small inputs that is helpful to reduce transaction size later when you need to send it to somewhere. It is very helpful and fee-saved when network and mempools are heavy and you have to use higher fee rate.

See your Tx in mempool with Bitcoindata.science and impacts on transaction sizes by inputs and outputs.

[Guide] Consolidate your small inputs

Quote
you can't imagine how surprised I was when I saw my tx is ~75mb from tip! My wallet suggested a fee of 10sat/bytes!
Not surprised at all. Centralized exchanges and centralized platforms always proceed user withdrawals with very high fee rates but they charge very expensive withdrawal fee on users. As a user, you can not control it and another lesson is: if you want to control fee rate you use for your transaction, let's use self custody wallet and broadcast your transaction from it.

So, what's going on? Is this connected with that ordinals mumbo-jumbo?  Huh
Likely the cause is partially from Ordinals.

However, more general, Bitcoin network usually has more demands when BTC price moves sharply upwards or falls down rapidly. It results in greed and panic that will cause more demand to move Bitcoin on the network as fastest as possible.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is lost in a wallet can it ever be recovered on: March 03, 2023, 12:48:10 AM
The reason for this question is that I just wanted to know if after losing one's bitcoin, will it be accredited to the number of Bitcoin mine even if the wallet can never be recovered
If you lost your private key, you lost your bitcoins, forever. Bitcoin is not a centralized project and blockchain like altcoins so it is impossible to revert the bitcoin blockchain, ban an address or seize it to credit to another one. It's impossible.

It was asked in 2010 and Satoshi Nakamoto aka satoshi in bitcointalk, answered it as follows
Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create Taproot address for your Bitcoin on: March 02, 2023, 06:00:01 AM
Create your Bitcoin wallet with Taproot addresses to minimize fee you pay for transactions and to support Taproot adoption.

The adoption is upward parabolic in last one year.

Bitcoin Taproot (Bech32m - bc1p) adoption in past 1 year.
995  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Taproot (Bech32m - bc1p) adoption on: March 02, 2023, 05:57:50 AM
Taproot (Bech32m, starts with bc1p) adoption has changed upwards a lot since July 2022 when I made this topic.

There are a lot of ways to learn. If you want to learn you will always find ways.
There is a willingness, there is a way or lot of ways.

Today I logged in my old Freebitoin after 2 years.  Smiley
I kind see some changes here and there, I recall playing some Hi-Lo back in the day. I would have expected them to have changed the interface a bit more, make it more easier to use, adding a slider (like those one can find on dices). But I do not complain, I will try to see what else I can find after some much time.
After two years maybe you will miss the launch and integration of $FUN token on Freebitco.in.

One user shared his investment experience with $FUN. Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment. You should check the token that is well backed by Freebitco.in and with a strong casino behind, the token has good utility and it will not be a dead coin. In 2024 and 2025 bull run for altcoins, I think $FUN token will have its good show.

2/3 of my bitcoin is in Stockpile and the other third is with my dad (I'm not sure how he's storing it). At this moment I own a total of 0.01798185 bitcoin Smiley
I have never heard about Stockpile but if it is a centralized service, don't use it to store your bitcoin.

It actually makes sense to try a cheeky bid on Arsenal now. They are on equal points but with a game in hand.
Manchester City only temporarily stand at the first position by having better goal difference but Arsenal has good advantage with one more match in hand.

I think odds are great on Arsenal to win Premier League now, and they have good chance of doing that.
No guarantee that Arsenal will get three points from that match in their hands but having it is an advantage than don't have it. I believe the odds is related to that match for Arsenal too.

Quote
Manchester City is going to have bad days and I think Arsenal can get into good form period soon.
Man City is going to be busy with Champions League and FA Cup, while Arsenal can focus only on Premier League.
The journey of Manchester City in Champions League is important for Arsenal. Arsenal can easily sacrifice Europa League but Manchester City won't do it easily in Champions League. They really want to win it after many years with expensive costs for transfers, salary and other things. Pep really wants to win it too prove his ability and to beat all criticisms against him that he was luckily to win a few Champions League with Barcelona when they had a golden team.

Quote
Let's see what happens in next few rounds, but tomorrow we have Aston Villa vs Arsenal and Nottingham vs Man City.
It's important to see Arsenal reactions after a defeat by Manchester City. If they win Aston Villa, we will have better belief that they will be able to win the match in their hands too and make 3 points difference against Manchester City.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: February 18, 2023, 03:20:19 AM
Al-Nassr won again after defeating Al-Taawoun in last night's match with a narrow win score of 2-1. Each goal was scored by Ghareeb and Madu, while from Al-Taawoun scored by Alvaro Medran. Even though Ronaldo didn't score in this match, he contributed with 2 assists which resulted in the win for Al-Nassr. With this result Al-Nassr returned to the top of the standings with 40 points, but Al-Ittihad also had the same points as Al-Nassr in the standings.
Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer young and he is not be able to score goals in every match like seasons that he scored about 50 goals in La Liga. Even Ronaldo left Europe to join Saudi Professional League, his old age affects his performance so much.

Furthermore because of his reputation and verified capability to score goals when he has good chances, defenders in Saudi Professional League always pay very much attention on Ronaldo that reduce his chances to find goals.

Two assists are good contributions from Ronaldo and I think with this change to contribute for the club more in assists and general tactics, Ronaldo will become a more dangerous players. Defenders of opponents will not easily to guess what Ronaldo will do next, shot or pass the ball. His change brings more uncertainty to opponent defenders.
