Regarding about the Warriors and their situation, it seems that their situation will somehow improve and they will be much dangerous in the upcoming days.

Quote
Via Wojnarowski: "ESPN Sources: Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins is nearing a return to the team and is expected to be back early this week. Wiggins has missed 21 games attending to a family matter. Huge boost for the defending champions and sixth seed in the West."

Source: https://www.si.com/fannation/nba/fastbreak/news/nba-warriors-andrew-wiggins-update-reported-on-monday

The Golden State Warriors only got three games left to improve their current standing and prevent the team from falling towards the Play-in Tournament bracket. Fortunately for them, Andrew Wiggins will be back on the hardwood again to help the whole team secure their playoff spot.

I'm thinking that he will return on the game versus the Sacramento Kings and not tomorrow versus the Oklahoma City Thunders, no guarantees as of now but this is a good news for the Warriors.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 03, 2023, 05:27:24 PM
Got a nice win on my bet earlier. Cleveland cut it too close to my handicap but still got the win. And Denver had good defense on the last possession of the Warriors to secure the win. Klay got a look on 3 points but did not go in on the first try and got blocked by Jamal Murray on the second. It is good to see that the Nuggets can win without Jokic on the floor. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr stepped up to push the win.

Nice catch and yes Klay have that good looks but unable to make the basket and the last try was blocked to bring you the win
for your parlay.

Congrats and with that kind of odds it's really sweet to see winning x4 of your bet. Playoff is getting near the next time we will
place our bets is with the series.

Again, nice win to you looking forward to see more!

Only @jakelyson saw it coming Grin Congratulations on that win mate!

I'm sure that majority of us here was leaning towards the Warriors to upset the Nuggets on their own homecourt because the latest tip-off provided an information that the Nuggets will an incomplete roster, but the home team proved again why they are on the top and that they don't need Nikola Jokic to win this specific game. It was a close game though.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: April 02, 2023, 08:02:18 PM

John Riel Casimero meeting Naoya Inoue this year is not that easy providing the supposed timeline that both boxers needs to follow.

Let's hope instead that Casimero will be able to send a strong statement at the super bantamweight thru an impressive winning in his upcoming fight. As I said before, in order for Casimero to be included in the title contender discussion, the priority is to being recognized.

It's quite too much to ask for now considering that John Riel Casimero is still working his way towards the ladder and be known in this division by defeating boxers along the line, let's just be patient and believe that certain time will come where we can both of them dancing in one ring. Well, let's say that Casimero managed to drop a huge statement against Nghitumbwa, nobody in the higher-ups will get interested because his foe is a nameless boxer. Much better for Casimero to aim for the interim title holder next to get himself nearer towards the champions.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 02, 2023, 07:43:28 PM
since Crawford doesn't have the manager to negotiate and PBC and Al Haymon wanted to take control of everything from the beginning.

Because PBC is obviously taking care of its business, it just make sense for them to owned all the rights and demands as as they are the one who will do most of the works to make the mega fight happened and Crawford as a free agent will just wait and relax.

Since Spence is also a valuable and top worthy boxer, PBC will not rely on Crawford's status to make the fight a highly revenue match.

What I don't understand is, the boxing councils can just mandate the unification match as every criteria are now being meet by both Spence and Crawford. But instead, Crawford is the only one being mandated to a title defense so far and the worst is, not even against a popular boxer.

Nobody can do anything about it because Al Haymon thrived to be in his position now and cared much for his boxer so that they can own the division, just like what they have now. So, it's practically everything they will say will go and that's what we have now. Spence might also got his own mandatory defense but there's no title to defend that's why they aren't taking it seriously.

That said, Crawford got not much of a choice but to wait until the time will favor him because even if he will have a fight in super-welter, he can't still meet the title holder because Al Haymon own them.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: April 02, 2023, 05:01:31 PM
As 2023 is going to be a tremendous year, and the elite are working towards the new world order whereby new digital currency will be introduced. If btc happens not to be part of that agenda, so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?

Bitcoin is always not a part of these elites agenda and that's really not new anymore, in-fact they are against by it that's why they are pursuing the use of CBDC and other centralized coins instead of decentralized coins especially bitcoin because these elites are pro-government as that's what they are controlling. They certainly can't control over bitcoin that's why many of them are discouraging it despite the facts that it can help us, some countries even banned it even if it means that they are taking away their people's freedom.

Wow! Another landslide win for you mate, it seems that you are not just lucky with the NBA games but in boxing fights as well. Congratulations!

Been following you on most games but in this event, I totally forgot about it and I only realized that the fight was already finished when I see some highlights on my feed. Darn! Could've put some few spares in-favor of Anthony Joshua as there was no way that Jermaine can upset him, scores says it all.

987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 02, 2023, 03:18:46 PM
I love the New York Knicks somehow finding a way to steal a win against the strong Cavaliers in their home and without Julius Randle.
Jalen Brunson, 48 monster points! Is he really that small? Grin Who else can score that much at 6'1?!

I actually didn't saw that coming because that specific game was hard to imagine for the Knicks, without Randle who tries to force his way through the opposing team's defense, they will really have a hard time. But, that's not what happened and I was surprised because Brunson proved that he can still give the team another win without Randle. For him, it seems that it's no biggy, really.

Quote
Who else can score that much at 6'1?!
Allen Iverson? The man is rumored to be 5'11 even if he was listed to be 6 flat.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: April 01, 2023, 03:14:14 PM

And now the task of Casimero is to get an impressive win against Nghitumbwa so that he can call out the Inoue's camp again to ask for a fight. If happens that Inoue vs Fulton happen and Inoue win then provably they will not the fight against Casimero will happen because they would really think that they cannot get something with him and go chase at more belt to other opponent.

Casimero will continue to call out Inoue once he gets an impressive win against Nghitumbwa because it is a fight to make and is considered a legacy fight for Casimero, so far Casimero has never tested to be in trouble in the ring and an Inoue fight will test both fighters and this is going to be a top money maker for Casimero.
He's been fighting low-level fighters for a long time, he is not only after the title but a legacy fight with huge money attached to it.

Perhaps if he scored a knockout win then maybe he will call out Inoue. But there are also other fighters that he can call though, if he wanted to get the respect and who knows maybe the other 2 belt champion in this division.

Casimero will have to carved out again his legacy at 122 lbs, he used to be one of the biggest in 118 lbs, but as I have said, the weight issues was to much for him and now going back to become a world champion. But he needs to be slow but deliberate and this is just another challenge that he needs to win big.

Yes, a close fight result of this bout won't get anyone in the higher ups get interested even if he will call them one by one. Furthermore, this is Casimero's 2nd fight so there's no need to be hasty to call out for the big boys, I reckon that he should call the interim champions first because he got more chances to fight the champions in this division if he will be the new interim champions.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 01, 2023, 02:17:24 PM
Oh well, 2 bad early picks for me, so I did the live betting on the Lakers vs T'Wolves, bet at half time when the Lakers are down by 10 points.

And it did take a lot from the Lakers to get back and make a huge run in the third quarter. AD is unstoppable in the last 6 minutes of the game although he had one bad fall and I thought that it's another season ender for him.

After that, the Lakers wake up from their misery, and it was the combination of Dennis, James, Vanderbilt, D'Lo, and Reaves.

A must win for them and they deliver.

I did got this bet as well but it's an early pick that's why I caught the Lakers while they are still the underdog because afterwards, I think the line was changed and they became the favorites. Don't know what is the basis of the bookies, anyway, it was a tight game and both teams are really thriving hard to finish the game on their favor but the Lakers are the ones who prevailed in the end.

While my Clippers bet was lost, I thought that they could duplicate their performance last time or even better because they now got Kawhi but the Grizzlies bounced back and defeated the Clippers on their 2nd game which happened earlier as well.

990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 31, 2023, 09:08:30 PM
Amazing performance by Boston Celtics, but we all know the true no?.

They destroy bucks but if this game were for Play off nothing of this happen, Bucks wake up and slap Celtics if the match really matter, because this celtics always fails in the important situation.

Seriously? did you really think the Bucks is unbeatable and the Celtics aren't capable of doing so in the playoffs? Did you just start watching the NBA this year or did you missed the playoffs last year?
Ok, so let me remind you this, the Celtics blown out the Bucks with a 28 points deficit in game 7 to end the series in 2022 conference semis. And, don't get me wrong, the Bucks were the defending champs last year, did the Bucks woke up and slap the Celtics because they are the defending champs and that game really matters? Guess what? they didn't. The Celtics are young and hungry, and I don't call it failing when every year the Celtics were progressing, they just reached the Finals last year. So, chill down bro, they'll eventually make it. Jaylen and Tatum are both in mid 20's - so they still have a lot of time left.

Frankly, this made my day! Take it easy mate, you might've burned him with those facts. Grin

Pretty sure he was just biased on his opinion because aside from he is a fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, he really believed that the Bucks were unstoppable and unbeatable. Well, all teams seriously got their own ups and downs, but this Boston Celtics team is just different, they are definitely too hungry, and they are looking to bounce back from the loss they've got last season.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 31, 2023, 07:52:20 PM
Well, you seriously got a point but if that's truly the case then why did he played and toyed Crawford if in the first place he doesn't want to make the unification fight happen. He even got the nerve to say some words after he defeated Ugas that he's going after Crawford Grin and then afterwards, what did he do, he ducked.
If he wants sympathy, then he should do the right thing because they are all professionals because it's not just him who wanted the fame and money, they all are.

Maybe if Crawford will move to 154, they might face Spence there if the latter will win his debut fight at 154.

But as far rumored plan for Crawford is concerned, it seems he's not ready yet to move at 154 as he sticks to his plan of unifying the belts there.

No choice for Crawford if he sticks to that plan, wait for Spence to win on 154 as he will stay there for sure, and wait for a new opponent when Spence vacated all his belts at 154.

Even if Crawford will make a move towards 154, it's still the same, there's no guarantee that these two will face each other knowing that Spence got an influential promoter on his back. Other than that, there's no sense if Crawford will follow Spence at 154 because just like what you've said, it's not what Crawford's plan which is to unify the belts at 147 and be the first person to be the undisputed champion in two separate divisions.

John Riel Casimero promoter Masayuki Ito looks like he loves doing the fights in the Philippines.
Quote
Speaking with reporters this past weekend alongside the Filipino, Treasure Boxing Promotion chief and former boxer Masayuki Ito noted that all of their future plans regarding holding events in the Philippines are based on how much love Filipino fans will show to Casimero once he fights this May.
https://www.ibtimes.com/john-riel-casimeros-promoter-hopeful-more-philippines-based-events-moving-forward-3680954
This is good news for Filipino fans as we can literally watch him live if we want to. About the support that was being asked by his promoter, I don't doubt the Filipinos who do love the sport. I mean, our government should've been funding this industry more because we are really good at it instead of wasting money on sports that don't fit our heights.

Casimero will surely give out all his best attacks here and will try a knockout as fast as possible giving the fans something to cheer on again before the title fight of Nonito Donaire this Summer of 2023 against Alexandro Santiago. Maybe we will have another title holder before this year ends.

It is indeed a good news for us Filipino boxing fans because they are giving us a favor to support our fellow countryman live in his fight against Nghitumbwa, Casimero definitely need our utmost support because he is campaigning to make a close climb to the champions of this new division that he's into. It's just unfortunate that our government isn't funding to any kind of sports, even our athletes who are participating in the recent Olympics doesn't get any financial nor even moral support from the government, what more if it's about funding this industry.

Anyway, talking about Casimero, it's a good news that the fight will happen here in the Philippines, and he doesn't have to go to any foreign country to set a camp to adjust from their climate because here, he's already used by the weather and will not have any major challenges in his preparations towards this upcoming fight.
993  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia and others, move to use Yuan instead of dollar. on: March 31, 2023, 06:21:41 PM
The use of the yuan instead of the dollar by Russia and other countries can have some impact on the US economy depending on the reactions of other countries and financial markets. For example when yuan reduces the demand for the dollar, it can lead to a depreciation of the US currency and can make imports more expensive for US consumers and businesses. It will also make US exports more competitive in markets that use yuan. Use of yuan can also increase trade and investment flows between China and other countries which can create new opportunities for US businesses that are able to compete in these markets. If the yuan becomes more widely used in international transactions, it can become a reserve currency alongside the dollar, which can help to diversify the global financial system and reduce the dominance of the US currency, something that  is not favorable on the side of US dollar.

I think that  the power yuan has as a currency for China and Russia is still relatively limited compared to the dollar, and any shift in this direction for other countries will take time and will not be easy.

This is inevitable and I think the US had it coming because they poured so much pressure towards the Russia which gave them pretty much no other choice than to lean on their ally which is China. And now, China and Russia have come together to use Yuan especially in trades and exports of black gold (oil) from Saudi Arabia.
Recently, the Russian and Chinese leader namely president Xi JinPing and Vladimir Putin have met recently in Moscow to discuss about some future developments of China-Russia relations and other strategic cooperations. In-fact it was reported that they both signed various documents about the trade and currency which will make a heavy impact towards US economy.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 30, 2023, 08:31:06 PM
<==== lots of fight has been delayed because of his selfishness.

I agree with this. In fact, I believe that he already made some drama, which was the reason why his fight with Pacman before was cancelled. Because if he had gone through a serious operation, he should not have fought Ugas after Ugas won the championship against Pacman. Now that he is back with a big win, Crawford challenges him, but nothing has happened. Maybe Spence knows his limitations and that he cannot win against Crawford, which is why he is making up excuses just to avoid him.

I would not say he is just making excuses. Obviously every fighter has to think about his own image and marketability, otherwise he might find himself shoved aside by bigger players and he might not be able to get into a good contract again. Its all about the money, really. Although having said that, it is indeed a smart move by him to avoid the Crawford fight for now. What if something happens and his operation mid-long term side-effects flare up and have a negative impact on the fight? Better safe than sorry.  Perhaps he thought it was not wise to challenge fate? Or maybe he noticed something wrong with his body? Sad

No doubt as that was the beginning of Spence's downfall from being one of the good images in the industry to being the villain because they wasted Crawford's time and gave him hopes that a unification fight will really happen. And now here we are again, another rumor came up about them which will certainly lead into a cancellation of this fight and obviously, Thurman's time will be wasted. In other words, Spence is not afraid to duck this fight because even if it's a mandatory fight, there would be no consequence on his side as he doesn't have any belts at 154.

How about the games tomorrow?

It's only 2 games but 1 of them is a must see battle, it's between the Bucks and the Celtics. Holiday just had a huge game against the Pacers with 51 points, (not sure if this is his career though). I'm still not decided as to who to beat on this game.

On the other game, it's the Nuggets vs the Pelicans, I might go with the Nuggets here at handicap.

That 51 points he made versus the Indiana Pacers was indeed Jrue Holiday's career high, and that performance he made got me interested because I'm looking forward to him -seeing if he can still duplicate his performance or even retain the energy later against the Boston Celtics.

In-fact I will bet on their favor -3 because I got this feeling that Khris Middleton and Jae Crowder might return as well because they are upgraded to be probable as of now. This will be a good game to see, a battle of two giants in the East.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 30, 2023, 06:49:30 PM
Last night was the first time I saw Westbrook have an MVP-worthy performance. With Leonard and Paul George absent, he took charge of the game and led the Clippers to a big win against Memphis with a full roster. Westbrook scored 36 points on 13-18 shooting and added 10 assists, effectively turning back the clock with his play.

That was the kind of game the Lakers badly needed from him but it seems like he can't do that freely because of the pressure against him at the Clippers, he has some teammates to rely on and it's working because they are now getting more wins in this circus runs in the western conference and it is the most important thing he can contribute to the team because they need him to play on that level, especially in the NBA playoffs. Let's just hope they won't get choked this time.

Westbrook could've got the sugar treatment from the fans if he didn't mess up his 1st season with the Lakers where he was just literally shooting bricks because that's where all the issues and criticisms towards him began up until in his 2nd season. But now, I'm just glad that he came to a team where he's free from the pressures and nobody is really expecting him to take over. And viola, Westbrook's confidence is back especially from shooting beyond the arc, yesterday he got a 100 3P% for shooting 5-5.
997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Value till 2033? on: March 29, 2023, 08:24:26 AM
Trusting the process is crucial because nobody knows the future value of bitcoin in the next ten years. If bitcoin continues to rise, it could potentially reach the $1 million mark. It may seem overly optimistic, but if we examine the graph, we can see that bitcoin often breaks its all-time high during a bull run, indicating a significant possibility of such an occurrence.

The real question now is, would you be willing to take the risk of holding your investment for the long term, such as ten years?
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a casino ever run without the government's awareness? on: March 29, 2023, 07:55:15 AM
While it's not impossible, the question remains about the level of success. The concern is that once a decentralized casino becomes more popular, it will attract the attention of the government. If they discover that the casino is operating without a license, they could easily shut it down. Even if you try to explain that it's a decentralized casino, the government may not care and will enforce their rules.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 28, 2023, 12:02:46 PM
This is his first fight this year, and for sure, if he wins this fight, there should be at least one more fight before the end of the year. Nghitumbwa has 12 fights, with 11 of his wins being through KO, so the numbers are very impressive. The big question is, were the fighters he KO'd quality fighters? Because if the answer is no, then he is still not on the level of Casimero.

I will expect that the Jazz will come back more stronger next season as they will rectify their mistakes and improve what they lack this upcoming off-season.

They have built great chemistry already, and for sure, they will be even stronger next season. Hopefully, Clarkson will be healthy again so he can help the team. Sometimes, you can really rely on him in clutch moments, as he always delivers. I'm seeing that he is an underrated superstar, but we don't know how long he will stay with the Jazz if his demands are not met.
