1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between gamblers and real Bitcoin investors? on: May 25, 2024, 12:00:03 AM
Gamblers were the short-term focusing people, whereas real bitcoin investors were the long-term focusing people. They never think of an immediate bounce or making a profit. They look for stabilised growth, and in between, if the market has reached the predicted growth, they'll take the profit and wait for the opportunity to invest in the bearish market. Short-term focusing, people try to enter the market, unlike the trend. Even at the peak, they'll enter and try to book profit. This used to be successful, whereas the risk is big, which is a kind of gamble.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 24, 2024, 11:49:51 PM
RR and SRH fought for the final spot to play against KKR. Rajasthan winning the toss chose to bowl first. Sunrisers Hyderabad had a good start but the lower batting order could not score as they kept losing it. They gave an average target 176 which was thought would be easily achieved by Rajasthan Royals. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel did their job but other batsmen failed to have quick runs making everyone's strike rate except these two to below 100. This slow scoring and quick wickets at later game made it difficult for RR batsmen to attack SRH bowlers and lost the game with 36 runs.
Finally, the league ranking proved to be the real ranking even after playoffs. SRH has been the second best team on the whole league but the final can move to any direction.
The wrong decision with the toss and the fact that the middle order didn't contribute to the score were the reasons that the Rajasthan Royals lost the match. The primary thing was the dew factor, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad made perfect use of it with the spin bowlers at the right time. At the bottom order, the pressure was high, and this left Hetmyer and Powell without scoring much at the required moment. Jurel tried his best, but he wasn't able to take the match towards victory. It was a good match again. KKR is going to meet SRH in the finals. Mostly, this is going to be a win for SRH.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never borrow money to be able to gamble on: May 24, 2024, 11:45:40 PM
Borrowing money for gambling is not supported by most users because we don't have the assurance that you'll be able to repay it within the mentioned timeline. With gambling, one is risking the money with the hope of winning, but he or she isn't sure of the outcome. When you borrow to gamble, you need to think of the repayment with interest. When your plan doesn't get executed, you need to make arrangements for the interest to be paid in the upcoming months. Once you've learned to borrow and gamble, the habit will continue. It'll be hard to break, so it is good that you don't go by that.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: The End of Credit/Debit Cards on: May 24, 2024, 11:41:00 PM
Debit and credit card usage won't come to an end just because of the increasing usage of cryptocurrency and other digital wallets. The features get advanced with the cards, which means waiting to swipe and then giving the pin and proceeding with the payment is now made easier with a tap on the POS. A similar kind of advancement will happen than just taking away the cards from the market. Even if cryptocurrency reaches the mainstream, we'll be able to see more cards getting into the market with the choice of adding money with cryptocurrencies.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 24, 2024, 11:36:41 PM
Sorry for not being able to explain clearly. What I mean is that people in middle-class households cannot invest in anything they want because their limited income makes it difficult to manage the household. Those who have only one income field have less income, so they have to save first if they want to invest. I am not saying they will save to earn good profit. They will save to raise investment capital.
It's sad that from the poor to middle class are dealing with the same thing but obviously, the poor is the one that's struggling more. While before and several years ago, the middle class can live a lavish life without having any problem at all. And now, this seem to be the new poor description by being in the middle income earners. But there are a lot of middle class that are wise with what they earn and learned how to save and to invest properly so that they won't downgrade their lifestyles in the future.
Apparently, poverty-stricken people may appear to be struggling more when seeing their suffering. (sorry - I am not belittling them because I don't have the ability to belittle them) The middle class once lived a good life without any kind of calamity but in today's context it has become really difficult to live in an economic crisis with these rising market prices. I am saying that the suffering of the middle class is greater because they are far removed from their position and cannot tell anyone about this misery. In any case intelligence must be introduced through creative planning and action to manage life smoothly from now on.
That is the real situation now, almost everywhere in the world regardless of the kind of living and status of life in each country. You will see the huge gap of the rich and the poor with the middle class. But I think that middle class will be able to survive and adapt more with the situation because of them came from being poor and don't want to get back on that tough situation of their lives. I wouldn't classify myself as rich and I think I belong in the middle of middle-poor class.
As said, middle-class people easily adapt to every living condition. The ongoing economic situation around the world has made people keep their needs limited and move towards saving more. We don't know what could happen tomorrow. Already, more countries are struggling because they aren't able to support their people by providing proper food. As mentioned, the gap between the rich and the poor keeps widening, which itself is an indication that the system isn't functioning in the right way.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get your Dad (or Mom) to buy Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2024, 07:39:48 AM
Most of our parents will be around 50–55 years of age. Right now, their thoughts will be about having a healthy life and a happy retirement. At this time, their minds have the fear of risking. For this reason, even those who are convinced of investing in cryptocurrency will go for a second opinion. Right now, people in the same age group who are having a conversation with our parents could easily convince them to invest in cryptocurrency. Importantly, our parents need to experience a change in the financial or lifestyle of the person convincing them. When we suggest it, they'll hear from us, but they won't take it seriously.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 24, 2024, 05:56:47 AM
According to the information from the OP, it looks like he had bad luck with his recent gambling activities. Right now, it is really hard to come to a conclusion about whether to continue with the instinct of the mind or go against the mind, as the recent picks were all lost bets. In my view, rather than going against the mind, it is good to take a break because when luck isn't favoring us, whatever way we try, we're not going to win. Even sports betting is connected with luck, though 90% depends on the data collection and recent match history, the remaining 10% is completely on luck. When the 10% isn't supportive, the bet is once again going to lose.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you advise a friend in the same way? on: May 24, 2024, 03:41:25 AM
Is this the wrong advice? A friend of mine took over his father's company because he is so old already and he told me about the money thats available doing nothing in the bank.

I told him to think about investing that money if he wants to keep the company growing, I told him about how MicroStrategy is doing so well using Bitcoin as a strong backbone of the company, I believe that even a small company can turn big if they use Bitcoin as their main investment.

Or am I wrong? I need to know if this advice is a good one or a bad one, I gave him this advice because we are very close and also because I will do the same thing if I am in his shoe, this is the best thing i can think of right now.
We can all give an advice and is up to them if they are goin to believe it or not, they need to decide by thier own so also make an advice to do more research and not just invest quickly let them know first the two possible outcome which is win or lose, if we cant earn then we will lose this is normal and this was already been experience by most of the investors specially small time investors.
We can give suggestions as well as introduce them to the possible choices, because not many are aware of the cryptocurrency investment. Later, your friend and his family will decide whether they need to invest or not. Before making an investment, it is always a must to do research and have statistics on the success. While giving suggestions, we need to just give the outline and shouldn't make a comparison with companies like Microstrategy. These companies will have different businesses and invest in Bitcoin, whereas small-scale companies couldn't do this. If the friend goes by your word and makes a lot of money, he will be happy, if not, it might lead to the end of your friendship.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: May 23, 2024, 11:37:16 PM
When you win something through gambling, you need to use it wisely. This needs to be common practice, what the majority of gamblers do is different. They need something for their lives, and to fulfill that need, they get into gambling and end up losing. Maybe very few succeed in such a kind of gambling. OP had done it in a useful way, and maybe if he had played with the plan to wager, win, and then buy a television, this couldn't have happened. So making use of win needs is the right choice rather than running for win to fulfill the needs. In real life, one can run for wins to make themselves successful, but the same shouldn't be tried with gambling.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in match fixing? on: May 23, 2024, 10:46:35 PM
Match fixing can be seen in soccer. In recent years, this has been seen in small tournaments conducted in African countries. In the past, it was possible to see match fixing taking place in popular leagues. At some point, more players were caught, and the upcoming players corrected themselves. I believe in match fixing for a reason, because I have placed bets on such matches and won them. Once I got a signal from a telegram group, as mentioned, everything happened and the bet was won.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: May 22, 2024, 11:39:15 PM
Affiliate marketing is a job that takes time to make yourself strong at. Very few keep themselves focused and move forward, whereas the majority leave the market in between and look for better earning opportunities. These days, affiliate marketing is dominated by social media influencers. In this fast-moving world, we've got lots and lots of opportunities, we need to be prepared. This way, it is good to find out one's own interest and move on from it.

Being passionate about the work you do will surely bring you money in the long run. If you have the right vision, there are platforms that can help with funding and turn your plan into a real-time product. This is how businesses are progressing, and we need to be good enough with better understanding and knowledge.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: May 22, 2024, 11:26:50 PM
Rajasthan Royals won by 4 wickets against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Team RCB starter batting first, although can't satisfy about their performance. Virat Kohli (33), du Plessis (17), Rajat Patidar(34) and this time Glenn Maxwell lost wicket without single run. I think these top batsman could do well from their place and specially Stick Rate was lower than expected. But they collected 172 runs as well. Avesh Khan, Ravichandran Ashwin bowl good today. Besides Rajasthan Royals was seem more dedicated from beginning. Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal(45) as well as Riyan Parag (36) did well in this match. But Shimron Hetmyer (26) and Rovman Powell(16) both played vital role, they collected good amount of runs from last overs and make RR won the match
Maxwell's performance in current IPL season..
0, 3, 28, 0, 1, 0, 4, 16, 0
Maxwell's performance is the worst in this year's IPL and such an aggressive batsman like Maxwell has scored the highest 28 runs in this year's IPL which is completely unbelievable. The failure of Royal Challengers Bangaluru's top order batsmen in today's match is entirely to blame and their failure is certainly responsible for the low score. However, Virat Kohli's chances of winning the IPL have ended. I thought maybe this IPL would create an opportunity for Virat Kohli but despite the opportunities created, RCB lost today's match only because of the batsmen's failure in the top order.
Maxwell hasn't performed well throughout the season, but he's the reason why the Royal Challengers were able to play the playoff match. In the final league against CSK, he is the one who took the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad and maintained the economy of 6.25 rpo. Throughout the season, it was Ruturaj Gaikwad who stood strong as a pillar and led the Chennai Super Kings towards victory in most matches. If he had stood for the powerplay, surely that could've been a winning match for CSK, and today CSK would've played the eliminator. Anyhow, once again, bad luck for RCB, and it is a must to say that the Rajasthan Royals were perfect with the bowling, fielding, and batting. The first catch of Du Plessis by Powell is really great, and there we can see how dedicated the players were on the field.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 22, 2024, 11:16:47 PM
Just because a person is using or holding bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, he can't be termed anti-government. Bitcoin holders are common people who want to be part of an innovative technology and want to enjoy the benefits of it. It is mentioned as anti-government because the government opposes bitcoin and it wasn't able to collect taxes in a perfect way.

Governments are for the people, when they're unable to fulfill the needs of the people, they look for an alternative. Governments used to provide tax exemptions to big firms and all, what was the need for that and whether the billionaires were paying tax perfectly? Everywhere there is a flaw, and just because a person uses bitcoin, he or she shouldn't be tagged as someone who can't be trusted.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: May 22, 2024, 11:02:11 PM
Every year, it is possible to see a good number of cryptocurrencies reaching the market and moving out of the market. Many don't have any purpose, but they're injected into the market to create circulation. In the long run, the leading cryptocurrencies will survive, whereas the rest will just be seen on the list without any use cases other than trading. For now, very few cryptocurrencies have real-time usage access. To have a better future, it needs to move into mainstream culture, which is a really hard task. While moving towards mainstream, the opposition will be high as they need to compete with the traditional fiat, which the governments won't allow.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still risky to Invest into Altcoin now? on: May 22, 2024, 10:44:38 PM
When it comes to altcoin investment, it is a little more risky than bitcoin investment. Here, we need to be more careful in selecting the altcoins for investment. Rather than choosing it in a random manner, it is better to analyze, understand, and further invest in it. Whether it is bitcoin or altcoins, we should have the ability to hold them, and if so, we can easily overcome the chances of losing.

Right now, the entire altcoin market is looking for Ethereum ETF approval. If the news turns positive, we can see a good move with the rest of the altcoins. If not, the market might turn bearish, and bitcoin too can move towards correction. For now, the majority believe that the Ethereum ETF will be approved.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are new altcoins being too risky? Current market trend on: February 13, 2024, 11:50:06 PM
New projects are not always risky and many good new projects are constantly entering the crypto market. Investing in many such new projects yields good profits. Actually developing new projects is seen only when the bull market comes. You should know that 2017 saw a lot of new project success. But for long time it is better to invest in established coins than new ones. It will always protect you from risk so use the best time you want.
As suggested, there will be risk in new coins, and for the lucky ones, sometimes this could be life-changing. In recent days, the discussion about Zetachain has been seen all around. It is a new coin on the market, and the same has gotten the attention of people for different reasons, and there is a lot of expectation on it. So, we need to be educated to analyze and understand the right coin to invest rather than going on new ones in a random manner. Established coins have a low risk, yet things weren't assured, as we can experience incidents like those that happened with FTX at any time.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: February 13, 2024, 11:32:44 PM
Actually, we want to call 99% of them dead or scam coins, but official statistics tell us that only 50% of them are dead. Smiley Altcoins are a bit of a risky area. Before investing in altcoins, it is necessary to make some examinations and evaluations. As the market is still in its infancy and scammers have a voracious appetite, inexperienced investors have to travel through a minefield. I tell everyone around me who asks me for advice that this is a very good market, but it is also a very risky market.
During the days of 2016, it was possible to see every project turn out to be successful, unlike the product of the project. By then, there was not much cryptocurrency, and more giveaways were taking place. Slowly, the market began to be complex, and competence started to increase with more and more projects existing effectively. This is where the successful ones started to stay alive and the rest started to fall off. Coins that were in good position during the year 2016 were nowhere in the market.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: February 13, 2024, 11:26:01 PM
so why isn't it OK to mix bitcoin prices with altcoins? What I know is that bitcoin and altcoin price movements always go hand in hand. anyone would want to get the best price and hold it to get maximum profit. But sometimes there are many things that can hinder that plan, for example not having the capital or choosing the wrong time to buy.
The market movement won't go hand in hand all the time, and profitability varies. Just a simple calculation based on what OP had invested, he mentioned his investment as a small fraction of BTC and ETH. Let us take 0.1 BTC and 0.5ETH in the value of $30k and $2100, which will be $3000 in bitcoin and $1050 in Ethereum. What profit has he made out of the investment by now? From bitcoin, his profit adds up to another $2000, as the market value of bitcoin is around $50k whereas the profit from Ethereum's $1050 investment is just $275, which is the difference between holding bitcoin and altcoins.
