1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Am 74% for plat iv how to wager without loss on: Today at 05:18:19 PM
Thank you smart people your answer was very helpful

Fastest way is to wager the casino games cause it gives instant results so you can bet as much as you want in very little time but the other thing of no risk is not even possible so don't get tempted by the misleading clickbait titles used by the influencers cause gambling never comes with zero risk or else the game will be paradise for everyone to make money non-stop.

My suggestion will be don't concentrate too much on the ranking cause it does not good when you are forcing yourself to achieve certain rank for certain perks.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: child board like this will help newbies so much. on: Today at 03:45:44 PM
A new board for beginners isn't needed. This is the board they should visit.
Ratimov had a thread that cover everything about bitcoin and forum as Beginners & Help Encyclopedia, But he took down everything with him when he decided to leave the forum.

Here is the archive from Ninjastic https://ninjastic.space/post/58120908#post_point39 but it doesn't have everything which also I don't know why...

Maybe it is time to recreate such threads by someone else which may work as an ultimate guide for every basic query.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources can join casino campaigns, it's a choice on: Today at 06:45:41 AM
Gambling section should be about gambling and discussing gambling options, not a fan base on telling us what the score was and who scored, and who they think the bets player is.
If you want to prove there are metit worthy post there go here, it was the last updated topic when I opened the section:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5441938.0
in the last 20 pages find me a few post that discusses odds and not the previous scores that are worth merit.
You have good point. Sometimes this board looks more like just Sports discussion rather than Gambling discussion. Don't see big issue about it. If it would just about posting some bets or discussing about things like gambling addiction, it would be very boring.
But sometimes you can't even call it as discussion board. Look at biggest spam megathreads and you barely can find actual discussion between members, not even talking about merit worthy posts. Wouldn't say that merit distribution isn't enough there, if your post is really good, it's likely that it will be merited

If a post is merit-worthy then it is going to be buried deep by those spam discussions again so even if members are creating merit-worthy posts the chances of getting into the visibility of merit source is very low.

Sometimes I read those mega threads it's just nothing but rephrasing and elaborating the scoreboard, nothing else but if someone really wanted to know the score they can find it better and easier than reading those stupid comments but what can we do cause they are not violating any of the forum rules so they are getting away with it, so I stopped reporting them.
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can anti gamblers accept cash from gamblers when they're in dire financial needs on: May 29, 2024, 07:44:26 PM
No one will deny money even if it has blood stains on it, trust me. Smiley

People may have their own opinion about gambling and the people who do it and it's perfectly fine but it doesn't mean you have to use this as advantage to mock someone when they are in real need, just let go of ego and help them if you can or just let him clear that you won't cause playing with people's feelings especially when they are low is worst crime though which isn't funny.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fighting scam and crime online means supporting privacy on: May 29, 2024, 06:17:06 PM
Privacy in crypto or at least with bitcoin is nearly impossible now thanks to governments (Pun Intended) for shacking mixers and implementing strict KYC requirements for every crypto service platform.

I want to remind you that online scams and hacks existed even before cryptocurrency and this complete anonymity thing so this is just an excuse from the government to hide the fact that their centralized system is even impotent in tracking down these scammers. I agree we should expose the one behind any kind of illicit activity for the good but we can do a tiny part in the big picture.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: May 29, 2024, 04:38:08 PM
I prefer not the two but in this situation, I prefer to be just addicted rather than be greedy

Gamble Responsibly...

Greed is something that you can control if you wanted which isn't the case with addiction, and if you're talking about the extreme optimistic behaviour of someone's greed led to sell all their assets to win more but I am sure at certain point they will come to realise they are losing more than winning so better not to try anything stupid.

That's not possible with addiction, even if you realise still you can't control your urge to bet assuming the severity is higher so he may start small bets but sooner or later it can go to any extreme, literally any extreme cause I had seen men even wagered their wife as bet.
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I need hints about renting sig spaces on this forum. on: May 29, 2024, 02:51:18 PM
Signature campaign or renting some reputed members signature space the concept remains same, you want them to wear the signature which can be any link or just a plain text that depends on who hired and what are their demands.

You may ask why they don't apply on signature campaign thread like everyone?

Well, they got some reputation which can be anything so their post will be given more exposure than just a normal member's signature that's the reason they chose to decide what and how they want to advertise.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did/do you handled a gambling addict story. on: May 29, 2024, 01:43:17 PM
I came across a lot of people who were addicted to a lot of things but I don't remember any particular incident in which someone confided in me about their addiction and how to get rid of it. Maybe no one ever came to tell about their issue personally, but at the end of the day, sharing is not going to help in anyway but might bring a temporary relief and that's it. It should be dealt by the professionals so if anyone came to you with their issue then your first step is to convince them to visit rehab centre for better future of them and their family and that's the big thing that you can do.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1,200 stimulus check in 2020 = $12,392 in 2024 on: May 28, 2024, 08:11:19 AM
These kinds of posts FOMO the fuck out of the paperhands on twitter who think bitcoin's going to be the solution to their poverty. So when they spend and invest money on it and find out it's not making them any richer any quicker than they hoped to, They sell and swear against it, urging even more people to hate on it which hampers with the progress of bitcoin in general, cause instead of having newer people who are more supportive of the coin and are gonna hold no matter what, instead we have more haters who are going to swear against bitcoin even if it became the signal to the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Bitcoin is not the solution to eradicating the poverty of this world but this just explains why the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, this is just to make people who are weak hands and trading in the short term to make pennies can realize what is the potential reap when they do nothing but simply buy and HODL bitcoin that they bought earlier.

Anyone bought bitcoin with their stimulus instead of groceries?

What you have to think about is that the stimulus cheque stimulated price rises. Everything, going to the supermarket today is much more expensive than in 2020, buying a house is much more expensive today and buying bitcoin is much more expensive in 2020. So I would blame the stimulus cheque rather than thank it.

Even if there is no stimulus were issued for the people still there is no way that the inflation will be under control because US government printed tons of money for many things so stimulus package helped the people to survive at the situation.

Besides, it's a biased way of doing the maths. The price of bitcoin ranged in 2020 between $5,000 and $30,000. For the sake of accuracy, I'm going to assume an intermediate figure of 17,500, since the checks were given after the March 2020 crash. That would be 4x, and instead of the $12,192, it would be $4,800. And if you got it at the end of the year, it would be 2.5x, or $3,000.

I did the match before posting this, not simply posted it.

The price of 1BTC was around $6500 at the end of the March 2020.

Now, Let's do the Math $1200/$6500= 0.1846BTC then 0.1846BTC x $70,000 = $12,922

The numbers are a little bit higher than what's mentioned in OP.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Lotto Winner Takes Time To Claim Their Rewards, What's The Point? on: May 27, 2024, 03:36:11 PM

I read that some lottery winners take weeks or even months to claim their rewards, but what's the point?

The actual reason is to avoid taxes depends on the country where you live in, if the law is straight and pretty simple that you need to pay flat % of your winnings as tax no matter what then claiming as soon as makes sense but in many states government run lottery so they offer different options and one who withdrew all in once has to pay 50% as tax and one who take the rewards in the installments every month they will get 100% if their winnings with no tax deduction but it will take 10 or even more years to collect the rewards completely.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / $1,200 stimulus check in 2020 = $12,392 in 2024 on: May 27, 2024, 02:00:30 PM

One more thread to make people to realize the significance of HODLing with bitcoin and as the picture says whoever bought bitcoin with their stimulus check will have over $12K in their portfolio value which is around 900% growth in a cycle we still have time to accumulate bitcoins instead of regretting the missed opportunities.

Anyone bought bitcoin with their stimulus instead of groceries?
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An interesting story and experience of a gambler on: May 27, 2024, 11:59:49 AM
Indeed it's a story, cause it's too good to believe and someone who is desperate for internet likes/attention might create stories like these to satisfy their social media urge. All you need is money to bet, not balls though.

If he can able to hit 1900x on their first bet then he already gave some money to mom and bough tons of stuffs which means you made more than what you had in your bank account which means you should feel satisfied and realize that it doesn't happen everyday.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 26, 2024, 02:55:02 PM
I would like to ask everyone here who is into sports betting for some advice. I've come to realize that maybe I should start fading myself. I've noticed that my recent gambling journey hasn't been profitable, so I'm thinking maybe I'm missing something. I tried an experiment by just recording my picks and then betting the opposite of my analysis. Surprisingly, this resulted in profitable betting.

So how about you? Have you ever thought of this idea when your picks aren't hitting? I mean, if we keep following how we think and feel with our picks and it doesn't translate to profit, there's no reason to continue following the same strategy. But are we comfortable with betting against our own picks just for the sake of fading ourselves strategy?

This isn't a strategy but superstitious belief and coincidence met at the the same time. Cheesy

Can you elaborate on whether you won the bet every time or most of the time? Cause that can give an explanation of what you are seeking from others. If I were you I would just hope on with this thing as long as it gives me the result but it's become obvious when you started to feel that goes against your expectations right?
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does addicted gamblers only lose money all the time on: May 26, 2024, 12:19:06 PM
I feel so bother and that is why I decided to ask this question.

We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

On this board, we are always referring addiction as a terrible thing but does it mean that those addicted gamblers doesn't win money, are they only bounded to losses upon losses?

Addiction isn't really about win or lose, it's about how much control they have over their wins and losses. For the fact addiction means they don't have any control over their actions so even if they win big still, they are going to continue and that time they might lose and this keeps on going in an endless loop.

I am remembering an internet story which is true though, someone who worked in garbage disposal won millions in lottery but after few years he came back to work again for the same work cause he lost all the money while gambling, irony though.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about Casinos rewards? on: May 26, 2024, 07:47:42 AM
I don't give much attention to these rewards, bonus and any extra perks to be honest because nothing is free and we might burn more money if we try ro chase those rewards with the assumption of making profits.

But anyone who tempted by the rewards should read the terms of specific bonus and restrictions for claiming it also the wagering requirements is very important because people often assume they can deposit and get the deposit bonus and just withdraw everything but hello, things doesn't work like that buddy.
16  Other / Meta / Re: This need to stop on: May 25, 2024, 08:11:27 PM
This isn't new, I had seen a couple of times when those users were removed from the campaign for being involved in such activity. And if they do is to avoid the post-bursting rule in their campaign so they reserve some posts here and there and come back and edit all those posts in a day or two so they will get paid for that week.

If this becomes their post habit then they should change it cause it doesn't do anything good for the campaign nor the thread. Still, sometimes I do too while I am on my mobile wanted to reply but due to my fat finger can't write everything in detail so I came back and edit as soon as possible when I am on my PC if I didn't make things clear in my previous comment. Still, it happens on very rare occasions though.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Day streaming as gambler experience on: May 25, 2024, 06:18:50 PM
Lately, I have started day streaming as a sponsored gambler on one of the casinos I use to be a tester there, I chose one of the known platforms to start my stream, bought the gadgets I need even though Unfortunately I live in a country where the internet speed is limited, the quality of my stream isn’t as good as other popular streamers, however, I have got much support from the community and viewers, had fun and good slot hits.
For now my experience is pretty good for now, but I certainly need some advices from you to upgrade my channel, community, and how to grow and to the next step.

Do you think it is a bad thing to do, promoting gambling?

Promoting gambling isn't bad, abusing is bad though.

Sky is the limit for the creativity and I don't know which platform you stream but try to keep it real and the growth will occur on its own, faking things will make the viewers to stop watching the contents.

For now you can add variety to the games you are streaming so that people won't get bored of watching same thing over and over.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: May 25, 2024, 04:46:38 PM
younger peeps are in the age of being curious in everything, like they really want to try new things that they see in social media even if there's a disclaimer that some contents are not suitable for their age that's why they need more guidance because they are prone in any bad thing that may happen. Influencers usually put a disclaimers in their contents that's why we cannot blame them because they just do it for the sake of money, however other influencers are intentionally display their content to catch up some viewers for their engagements.
Many kids have gone wayward in the mordem times due to social media, in some medias advertiding +18 rated contents have become very normal and most kids are currently gettng exposed to those contents including gambling as well since most gambling platforms use them or pay influencers to advertise their business. Well i don't blame those influencers though since they're doing their job.

It is the duty of those social media platforms to create policies that would restrict underaged people from creating an accounts with their platforms, you don't expect influencers not to do their jobs because their are underaged kids they’re not even aware of using the platforms and viewing their contents, the least they could do is advise underaged people from gambling and the effect it has on them.

It's hard to stop people from accessing that anything they wanted to via internet, they simply can create a gmail account it won't even take a minute and all they need to do is enter wrong date of birth so creating strict policies doesn't do anything at all. But what about we can do is to create awareness about gambling and don't keep it as taboo subject anymore and teach kids about why gambling is bad when it's done out of control instead of teaching genders. Cheesy
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please need help on: May 25, 2024, 03:07:24 PM
Please need help

Good evening...
Please, I need help, if that is not too much trouble for you.
A few years ago, I entered Bitcoin and bought a portion and opened a wallet at that time, but I do not know how to find its location. I only have the wallet number, and this is possible in 2020 or 2021.

There is no such thing as called wallet number in Bitcoin.

We have Bitcoin address, Private keys(string of letters and numbers) and seeds (combination of words which can be 12 or 24 in most common wallets).

As others said you may have to provide more information to assist you if it's possible.

On extreme cases if you left it on the exchange's wallet then recovering is easier if you don't have anything at all, all you need is the email you used for registration and recover the account.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best LiveStreaming sport services? on: May 24, 2024, 07:13:40 PM
Honestly I never seen sports getting streaming on casino especially in crypto casino, so I am really excited to see if there is any?

There are multiple free apps comes with my bill as package so I never worried about missing any game I wanted to watch in high resolution as they offered so I didn't really needed that feature to exist.

But for a regular sports bettors this might be very handy, no need to look at multiple screens. Smiley
