161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 23, 2024, 04:17:38 PM
There is no logical reason for people to buy bonus rewards even when it's obvious that you are not making anything out of it, possible reason could be they attracted towards particular provider so they just want to experience the play no matter what and others just do it without thinking much about the outcomes.

For casual Gambler it may not affect but it's important to take everything into account if you are spending more money on gambling.

You said Why we should not connect our hardware wallet to any platforms especially for upgrades, swaps and development related things of a project that doesn't really worth anything.

I would say don't even use your hardware wallet for storing this kind of shitcoins, just let it there on Metamask like wallets and if that really become a thing in future then consider moving into the cold storage.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your take? on: March 23, 2024, 03:36:34 PM
Betting on lower odd games may seem to be risk free approach on paper while it's not in the reality. As you said an underdog can beat champion sides that can change the whole dynamics of betting while it's not everyday scenario that stage of uncertainty and unpredictability keeps the gambling exciting no matter what and one who tries to outperform the system will taste the failure at the end.
164  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit locked/pending withdrawals on: March 23, 2024, 04:59:55 AM
Hi guys!

Ive been a loyal Rollbit player for around +2years. I have wagered around 125k US dollars. I have never had any issues with withdrawals or deposits on the site. Yesterday I hit a big win (not going to lie it’s life changing) and now have to submit my KYC. Apperently Belgium has been added to the strict list recently. So I’m not able to submit my Belgian ID..

I never used a VPN and I always could log in and use the site without any problems. Some providers where restricted but i could use around 75% of the website.

I always loved Rollbit and the community around it, I’ve seen people with the same issues that got their withdrawal but after it their account got suspended, if that’s the only way i have to take it ofcourse..

Anyone had the same issue or knows a way to resolve this?

Please only friendly replies Smiley

Have a nice day!

If the name has been added very recently then you may get a chance but I don't think it happened very recently and they notified you about the updated list in someway and it's your responsibility to keep yourselves updated about their rules and this might come into your mind when the country made any changes regarding the gambling laws.

You can submit the ID and hope the withdrawal will proceeds or there is no other way.
165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to use unused BTC adressess from dynamic wallet as a new? on: March 22, 2024, 03:03:06 PM
I have several wallets. These are dynamic. BTC address is renewed every time I receive/send token with them.
Is it possible to use one of the previously generated empty addressees to receive token once more in future?
How to avoid messing up with old/new addresses in any wallet that generates them each login?

BTC is coin not a token.

You can use any address that's generated by your wallet as many times as you want, some wallets doesn't give all list of used addresses but still you can use it if you have saved somewhere else.

You won't be given new address until you find the provided address which means there will be no previously used address can have zero transactions in it
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friends engaging on P2P gambling insights grudges amongst themselves on: March 22, 2024, 12:13:43 PM
Gambling is gambling, win or lose one who involved must accept it and mocking part is just part of bully that associated with natural behaviour of that friends while the important thing is the one who lost seeks compensation in terms of what? Is that what he did when he lost money on a casino right? Then rules are rules and there is no place for sentiments in it.

Which is why I prefer it on sports betting sites to avoid issues on p2p betting. I am into p2p betting before for more than a decade. Many times I bet against my friends and there are really times that some of them are not willing to pay accordingly. It is really harder to collect winnings on p2p unless you only bet against people that are reliable.

Betting against another person is good and mostly it will be careful or skill based games and one who is better off winning it will make more wins. As you said in friendly bets some of them will not pay afterwards that's why it's important to collect the bet amount before you make bets to avoid conflicts and there are actual places where we can gamble should be preferred for smooth gambling experience.

168  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 22, 2024, 06:11:26 AM
Idea is nothing until it implemented in the real world, and if you found someone only with the idea then ask them Why they didn't take the next step forward then you will know the struggles involved to make it in the reality and that's what differentiate the success ones are very few and others are living in a life that they don't have any control over it. Cashing out your idea as money itself a skill that very few people successfully managed to make it happen.

currently, just an idea alone will not be enough to achieve success, because privilege, capital, investment, qualified resources and an extensive network are some of the factors that can enable someone to implement their idea into a success. as for people who are able to implement their ideas into reality with limited capital, that is only 1 out of thousands of cases, moreover we don't know how he was able to reach that point of success, maybe because he was lucky to meet someone who supported his idea and was willing to provide capital.

and because of this, there are a lot of ideas in this world that are very innovative and could be revolutionary, but they just end up like that and are never implemented, because it is very difficult to implement them in the real world.

Luck plays role in success? Technically not, it's just happened due to the determination towards reaching the goal and keep on working no matter what happens while others who has similar approach may give up due to whatever reasons that doesn't let them to reach what they wish for.

Finding investors is not really the beginning stages but you will be given with lot of opportunities when the idea is actually potential to make lot more money.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: brazil sanctioned law that taxes online betting in the country on: March 22, 2024, 04:23:56 AM
Here in my country too the taxation works the same, there is no compensation for the loss we made but taxes will be cut down from the rewards straight away and if I am not wrong that's how taxation on gambling works in most part of the world. From individual perspective it seems unfair to collect taxes in every possible way from their citizen but they say it will be used for the development of the country thus including yourself too.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 05:24:16 PM
I won't be sad because my favourite team lost the match but I will be sad because I lost my money and it's okay since winning and losing is part of being a gambler just like for a team and for the record you don't have the extra pressure called important match, every match you bet is important but for the team some matches they might take it easy and not going with their full power unless every match they play is some form of knockout.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 21, 2024, 04:54:15 PM
My worst nightmare would be I won an amount that's huge to my financial capability and casino says there is some malfunction in the machine so that bet will be void. Grin

Imagine what will be your reaction if you are in that situation? Shocked, feel cheated or lose hope of your life even...
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Marketing Strategies for New Casinos? on: March 21, 2024, 11:54:25 AM
Signature campaign is the most effective way to reach bitcointalk users but there are lots of crypto users apart from this forum, so you need strategize and advertise depends on your needs, if bitcointalk is the sole region that you want to grow then start with signature campaign by hiring quality posters and good manager. If you have budget to spend then SEO marketing strategy will take the brand name to many other sites.
Signature campaign alone is not enough, the product which is being advertised is also need to be attractive to make the advertisement works effectively. Otherwise, signature campaign can be the worst way because it will waste their money only. Maybe some people will be interested to visit after they see the signature in this forum but if they do not find something attractive in the product, then they will not be interested to use the product.

It is not very common for a casino that isn't worth visiting risk their money by investing in their promotions but promotion part is very minimum and as you said if the casino doesn't satisfy the users then it's not going to get any results no matter where it's promoted so one who has been interested in reaching out people should make their product complete first.

It must be admitted that as you say is true, it takes a lot of support and skills to carry out and realize ideas. Everyone needs great motivation and strong determination to make it happen. But don't let the idea pass you by, it's better to save the idea or record it in a special book so you don't lose it or forget it. When we have the opportunity to start, it is better to start by making a kind of road map. The aim is to make it easier for us to understand challenges, get support, and try to prepare other support such as money. Starting with small steps first, who knows, we might be lucky enough to make it happen someday. Sometimes many ideas that appear just pass by, because we have difficulty where to start.

Most of the successful companies or services started as small business so capital should not be the biggest hurdle if someone wants to implement the idea but it should be optimised in a way that we can handle while majority of the people with ideas think big that's why there is no way that it can become reality.

As you said start with small steps and move towards achieving what you dreamt of is the right way.
174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 18, 2024, 07:24:45 PM
One of my primary principle is never collide relationship with money that will always end up bad which I learned from life experiences so I will make myself clear if I don't want to help whoever it is because it can affect me financially then it's okay but basically I don't help in the name of loan, if I am giving money to anyone who is in real need then I really consider it as charity and I never expected that to be returned.

176  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 18, 2024, 03:16:11 PM
The cost of things has gone up so much so that it's glaring. Imagine paying 5-12$ for an average meal you could get before for 3$. The jump cost is extremely high. Cooking a meal at home can cost you the same amount you would spend on eating in a restaurant. Funny enough people still afford all these things without complaining. My anger is that we make money to spend it all into our normal life expenses. It's difficult now to save or invest unless you part of the rich people in society. An average man has to just eat, pay bills, and survive.

This is one of the topic that I am always fascinated to dive in...

The reason is simple inflation reduced the purchasing power of the Fiat money so we are paying more to buy the same product that costed less in the previous year. And why we can't save is different and it's due to change in the dynamics of consumerism and people influenced by people to spend more and the concept of saving money, thinking about future decreased to extreme.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop gambling if you don’t have free time to do it on: March 18, 2024, 01:33:36 PM

This is what happens when you are addicted to it, to recover from this solution did you made any extra effort like medications and therapy sessions or you recovered just by making lifestyle changes or in worst case you continue to be same but realised this is wrong and giving warning to others?

Most of the time we get addicted to something without even knowing that and we came to realise when it's too late by that time we may be in a place there is no looking back.

I don't think @OP is addicted to gambling, he maybe hooked to playing after working hours and staying late for gambling activity but as we can read, he is able to change his gambling pattern and is able to not use his previous gambling schedule to not get affected in his work.  That is not a sign of gambling addiction, IMO>

There are different levels in addiction, OP realised his addiction in early days so he able recover on its own but in most cases users consider gambling is escaping from their daily stress and something that's bothering who are the one will keep on going and reaches the extreme level of addiction from there it's not possible to go back to complete start is not possible and it need rehabilitation for sure or atleast that's what I saw in every kind of addiction.

Cigars and betting in school that's crazy as *uk. Cheesy

I don't remember doing anything like that to be honest, kind of disciplined kid in the school days and then as well, I only used to bet on fantasy that's kind of crooked game still I went to bet because the amount is too good to be true if I actual tops the table and that's happened a couple of times that I consider still a crazy decision.
Each country has a different school system and you can be expelled for doing one thing, but in another country the same thing will only get you a warning. A great example of such differences is the attitude towards cheating on tests. In my school if you were caught you'd only fail the test, but in many schools in the US it's a serious offense.

I am not degrading the education system or OP himself I just imagined how crazy it will be if I were in that situation. The rules are kind of similar everywhere but how serious when it gets implemented in the real world defines the country/educational institutions. Last but not least bullying is criminal offence in US but is there any country where we can say there is complete bully free.
