1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AI holding political offices on: September 19, 2025, 04:51:43 PM
The only possible benefit I see from something like this is the fact artificial intelligences are not easily corrupted as people are. Assuming the AI is coded and trained properly then (in theory) things would work more efficiently and there would be less misuse of the money of the people (taxpayer money).

Except that until now we've seen the exact opposite - AI implementations are controlled by mega-corporations that decide without any oversight how these models are created, trained, prompted, etc. So we get "mechahitler" and other crap like that, we get chatbots that prey on vulnerable kids and lead them to suicide, all sorts of dystopian shit. I doubt that a "government AI" would be magically non-corrupt and efficient. It would be at least as bad as the government without AI, and likely much worse due to the fact that AI models are notoriously opaque in their decision process.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: AI holding political offices on: September 18, 2025, 01:44:45 AM
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that an Artificial Intelligence-generated “minister” has been appointed to tackle corruption and promote transparency and innovation. The name of the bot is Diella and her responsibility is to help ensure that public tenders are fully free of corruption, and ensure that government work faster and transparently.

It's this sort of BS that gives a bad name to genuinely useful generative AI implementations.

Corruption issue isn't that we need robots to identify it... I mean we can use AI to analyze some documents and flag anomalies, which is all what appears to be happening here, but the actual legwork still needs to be done by actual humans, because the real issue is in the conditions for the corruption to exist (which this AI will not solve) and the lack of enforcement of whatever laws are being broken (which this AI will not solve).

If anything, this probably makes it easier for the perps to get away with it. All they need to do is figure out the correct prompts. And get good lawyers who can shred this chatbot nonsense in court.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The first moon landing, was it fake or real? on: September 12, 2025, 12:04:02 PM
Something doesn't add up and I think the US have been trying to cover this up over the years.

Yeah definitely. We know the Moon is made of cheese and we haven't seen any of that cheese being consumed or brought back by those astronauts. Really poor quality Hollywood production.
4  Economy / Reputation / Re: Clearing up major disagreements in rep. on: September 11, 2025, 11:04:52 PM
Has the forum changed to the point where there isn’t that community standing in at least feedbacks? Or do I somehow rise to the occasion and continue proving that even in 10 years I will hop on from time to time and not have scammed anyone yet still.

BTC is the basis for this forum’s existence. Trust but verify as a verdict let’s me ask one last question: BTC believers, have we lost the original feeling of this place and the essence of p2p currency, or naturally we succumbed to the masses’ wild visions and never put a foot down?

LOL what's with this bullshit appeal to BTC "essence". Bitcoin is supposed to be trustless by design, if we can't verify a transaction on the blockchain then it doesn't exist, but all you're saying is just "trust me bro".

As for allegations against you, such as accounts linked to you being scammers, you haven't even attempted to come clean with those. Did you sell them, who's the buyer etc, that's what is needed here, not some vague wall of text. Even then, there is no reason anyone should take your word for it, so it's kinda pointless and a waste of time. Go away, get a job, DCA some bitcoins, and seek professional help if you have a scam addiction.

Thoughts and prayers.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump Summarily Executes 11 People Without a Trial on: September 08, 2025, 08:26:07 PM
Since they were designated as a foreign terrorist organization, then he's legally allowed to execute them without a trial.

Ignoring the second part (which is not as simple as you make it sound, e.g. there needs to be imminent danger, lack of other options such as arrest etc), who's "they" and who "designated" them? It doesn't look like there were any names published, let alone proof of them being terrorists.

Sounds like a load of BS orchestrated to make it seem like the US is "at war" with some gang so that the DOJ can use this in their deportation cases by "designating" people as being members of said gang.

11 drug kingpins

Oh they're kingpins now. 11 of them. On a boat somewhere in the Caribbean. I'm sure you have proof of that but just too busy to post it.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump Summarily Executes 11 People Without a Trial on: September 05, 2025, 09:07:59 PM
Trump said he was going to put an end to the drug smuggling. He said he was going to use the military to do it. Nobody should be surprised by this. I actually think it is one of those most badass things I’ve seen a President make the call to do. Dems had no problem when Obama wanted to use a drone on American citizens but they’re outraged Trump used weapons on foreign drug smugglers. That’s all you need to know about Democrats.

Would you still be as excited if e.g. someone (completely hypothetically) anonymously reported you as a drug smuggler and you got executed because that's the punishment for drug smuggling?

Rhetorical question of course, you'd be dead so you wouldn't be able to come here and tell us how great it was.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump Summarily Executes 11 People Without a Trial on: September 04, 2025, 03:50:28 PM
What do you think? Should the USA military summarily execute people when they believe someone is associated with a terrorist group? If you believe Donald Trump overstepped his authority, what do you think should be the penalty for doing that?

As per the SC, he can do anything he wants, up to and including murdering people he doesn't like. Also the other branches of the government supposedly doing the "checks and balances" aren't gonna do shit, not for some dead brown people when they're preoccupied with a dead pedophile, so there's that. You know, priorities of a wealthy civilized nation.

Were you able to get on in a browser?

I tried a browser on a computer and a browser on a phone. There is no captcha shown but it keeps complaining that I failed captcha.

I'm able to log in via the phone app but I don't know how to join the league there, or if it's even possible. Regardless, I can't really play FF on a phone, so I think I'm gonna have to pass this year.

EDIT: OK this does not give me the warm fuzzies I just went and tried to check sleeper out and recover my old account and after 10 frigging captchas it gave me this fucking ERROR. "Error: There’s an issue with your network. Please try again in 30 minutes."

I got "Failed Captcha Verification"... EXCEPT THERE IS NO FUCKING CAPTCHA Grin
11  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: August 25, 2025, 08:57:20 PM
After the changes made to the forum to not show the last login, isn't bpip.org a bit of a 'snitch'? For example, if I go to ibminer's profile on the forum, I see “last active: recently”, while on bpip.org it tells me that he was active 3 days ago. To be more specific, for example, LoyceV has the same option on the forum “recently”, while on bpip.org I can see that he was active 5 minutes ago. You can see it clearly if you watch the list of most merited profiles, for example.

IIRC this timestamp is updated if e.g. the user makes a post, sends merits, etc, which you can also see on Bitcointalk itself if you look at user's last posts or recent merits. If the user is just browsing the forum then BPIP won't be able to "snitch".
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 25, 2025, 07:26:03 PM
Haha. Well hey if there was a vodka or better yet wine brand that was running a signature campaign, then I would probably join it.

Just to be clear, I was referring to NFL becoming basically a gambling league with some balls mixed in. Gambling ads on this forum is meh, considering the dumb ways we're wasting our bitcoins on shitcoining (again, nothing against you personally LOL) gambling seems like a better experience. But incessant deceptive gambling advertising on a multi-billion dollar platform that supposedly appeals to all audiences is irresponsible to say the least. NFL can basically print unlimited money advertising big manly trucks and shit like that, they don't need to sell out to every sketchy casino out there, just like they didn't have to sell out to FTX and other "crypto" scams a few years ago.

Oh yeah, what's fair for buy in?  0.5mBTC?

Half a million bitcoins seems a bit steep, might have to cut down on avocado toast.

  • Switch to Sleeper
  • Add 0.2 points per sack yard
  • Eliminate PPFD
  • Eliminate kickers

I hate Sleeper. Was just reminded what a turd it is when it refused to open the pickems invite link. I don't want that shit to happen on a Sunday at 12:45 when I need to find a last minute substitute. Having said that, I'll go with the majority decision.

More points good (add sack points).

Less points bad (keep PPFD).

Keep kickers.

Meh, who TF cares. Its 2025, surely there are some gay people who enjoy the NFL in this day and age. They are not cheerleading in your home, in front of your bowl of cereal. I really doubt they'll be shown on camera unless it is with female cheerleaders also in the frame. And if they are, you'll just have to muster all your emotional strength to get over it.

I don't recall seeing much if any of NFL cheerleading, female, male, or otherwise, in the last 5 years or so. I don't know if I'm just spending too much time picking beer out of the fridge, or if broadcasters stuff every second with ads and cheerleaders don't really make it into "TV".

Speaking of which, the fucking cancer of gambling ads should be getting everyone riled up. Gambling addiction is a real problem but I guess that's "freedom", as opposed to someone being uncomfortable seeing a gay person in 2025 LOL.

Yes, I'm fully aware which board I'm on, thank you very much Smiley
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 20, 2025, 01:17:15 PM
I'm in. How many roster slots do we get for male cheerleaders and what's the scoring system for those?
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Epstein Truth. on: July 18, 2025, 10:29:59 PM
Well, formerly the government wanted transparency. Now it seems they want to hide things, simply by making contradictory statements, if no other way. If the government had never, ever said anything, the people wouldn't have said much. But when the government does a 180 degree reversal on what they previously said, the people aren't so much interested in the point of topic, Epstein in this case. What the people become belligerent about is "Why the change?" What is government hiding and why?

The point is that Trump, the wannabe dictator, IS THE GOVERNMENT right now. If he told Pam Bondi or whoever to release the files then the files would be released. So why is Trump not doing that, and why are all you sycophants so chickenshit about it?
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Epstein Truth. on: July 17, 2025, 11:02:48 AM
The government trying to say that Epstein didn’t do anything wrong and killed himself for no reason is pretty wild.  If you look up the definition of gaslighting, I think you’ll find this is the most clear cut and obvious case of government gaslighting in our lifetimes. I actually don’t see how they’ll get away with this. Black swan event incoming….

LOL gotta love how it's "the government" now, when it's clearly your lord and savior Donald Pumpkin Trump blatantly trying to shove it all under the rug, and "the government" is basically his bootlickers. Still scared to call him out?
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran - Israel War on: June 24, 2025, 12:12:57 PM
Christian ... sustainable religions

Is "sustainable" here referring to how "christians" used to "sustain" nonbelievers by the neck?

Great idea to replace one religious fuckwittery with another less popular religious fuckwittery, that'll fix things in a jiffy.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran - Israel War on: June 22, 2025, 03:12:57 PM
Once again, I'm looking forward to see steaming pretzels from the "Trump will end all wars" muppets... fart of the deal innit.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Musk and Trump clash on the massive spending proposal on: June 10, 2025, 02:51:00 PM
i think it goes the same for elon's camp, no? some of them also do not like trump but tolerated him for the sake of finally bringing in some positive news to the crypto community basically both camps did benefit from each other

trump got votes and won the election and few positive crypto policies were passed but now it is over and trump will remain president and elon will remain rich

There is no "Elon camp" aside from some hardcore believers who are too dumb to admit that they got duped. He used to have some following among the techbro-worshipping kids, including some shitcoiners, but has comprehensively burned those bridges with his pretend-gaming bullshit and doge nonsense and just generally being insufferably cringy even to the brainrot generation. His billions aren't of any use to his hypothetical "followers", although some may be deluded into thinking that listening to a rich person will somehow correlate to their own personal success.

At the end of the day, Trump has quite a bit more power ATM so Elon will probably delete his mean tweets and suck it up, or deport himself to South Africa. Fingers crossed though that he's too dumb for that and ends up in Guantanamo, that'd be glorious.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Musk and Trump clash on the massive spending proposal on: June 06, 2025, 10:38:41 PM
I'm just here to watch all the insufferably illiterate conspiratards now trying to pretzel themselves out of their very recent (like literally up to a few days ago) praise for the lying piece of shit drug addict billionaire. So very shocking for two narcissists to have a nasty public falling out, isn't it LOL.

They are both billionaires, one much more than the other, they are probably both liars, one much more obvious than the other, which one is the drug addict? What drug(s)?

For all I know Trump is on drugs too, but it's obvious from the context that I was talking about Elon. Trump supporters will stick with Trump and try to weasel out of their "Elon phase" or pretend it never happened. No one really likes him, and right wingers just tolerated him for a little while when he was pandering to them and giving millions of dollars to Trump campaign.
