1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $84k the Peak for Bitcoin? on: Today at 08:26:07 AM
No mate, literally no one could predict the Bitcoin's price and we see all such speculation only when the market is upward and we don't see them often during market dip. Bitcoin may even cross $84k or even $100k or even drop below $60 k once again hence we cannot predict much about Bitcoin unless there is a strong factor threatening it's usage which usually results in temporary dump.
If we are all optimistic here, I guess $84k is lesser than what we expect to see in the market. It could be $100k or above, that’s what we want to witness happening in the market. However, bitcoin price is highly volatile that makes it so unpredictable to anticipate a price. Reality is we can witness higher or lower than $84k, and we have no control of that. But if positive news and updates will consistently hit the market, then it’s highly possible for bitcoin price to achieve $100k at the year end or even higher than that.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My model of an ideal investment portfolio on: Today at 07:45:43 AM
You have big plans, OP. But I don’t think that a four-year period is enough to implement them. You can also divide what you call diversification because not all the points that you outline require finance. Plans for educating children and investing, as you call it, in people may be completely free at first. The biggest investment is your specialty, which should fill your entire “portfolio” with the rest of your investments. Where will you buy Bitcoins from? With what funds are you going to build a school and hire people if you do not have a constant source of income? And it is from him that it is worth making plans for future passive income. But you have to earn handsome sums to cover the four years.
Right, a very huge plan indeed. Although I can see a good diversification of your investment portfolio, but for these to achieve within your time frame, you must set a single investment first and focus on working on it. When that succeeds and make profits, you can start with your next plan slowly and set a goal for it. Eventually when you manage your investments well despite of some flaws and losses, you will achieve everything you have in your portfolio in the end.

However, the process could be tough and hard most especially if you are still starting to learn the process. But eventually, with your knowledge and skills, and positive attitude in facing all the challenges, you will overcome those risks and makes everything in your portfolio become highly possible and successful.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Disregard false religious teachings and invest for the future. on: May 22, 2024, 10:35:55 PM
Do people really follow everything told in the Bible or Quran?

Nope and not even possible to follow everything as it is. And many things told in the religious books don't have literal meanings so we just used to interpret them in the way we want and here the leaders or whoever is controlling take advantage and abuse the religious beliefs of people for their own belief.

Only you are responsible and accountable for your future and if you are starving there might be some people might throw some bread loafs but decide is that all you want?
I guess not. Although they may internalize the words from the holy books but are not actually doing things accordingly. Otherwise, there will be no crimes happening all over the world since everyone follows what the holy book says.

Now when it comes to investing, I don’t think religion still matters. The Bible or the Quran never say get rid of bitcoin. It’s actually our personal choice because we have all the freedom to invest, as long it’s not illegal and is not making the world worst.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust bitcoin holders? on: May 22, 2024, 09:34:38 PM
Since bitcoin promotes mostly anti-government, banks, etc.

I am wondering; Do you trust bitcoin holders?
What do you mean by "trust"? That could mean many things, too many. Trust them like they are good persons? Trust them like I would invite them to my home even without knowing them? Not every single bitcoiner thinks and acts the same way: some of them are more radical and others aren't; some of them think bitcoin should be the only payment method and others are ok with fiat as well. Your question is just too broad.
Well, just because bitcoin is anti-government, its holders as well are certainly against the government? You are wrong with that. People can be trusted not because of its beliefs and perspectives, but because of its thoughts and actions, and its decision making that reflects if he can be trusted or not. And I think siding bitcoin is never wrong and is not considered against the government activity. You can be a government servant but silently investing in bitcoin, just like those big names in the government as they might be engaging in bitcoin privately.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed matches group in 3rd world countries on: May 20, 2024, 02:59:14 PM
Nothing surprising, third world countries are poor and they don't mind to trade titles for money.

But I doubt someone want to publicity the fixed match for free, why they need to tell it to other people when they alone can advantage over it and bet as much as possible to earn maximum profit?

They might have their reasons for doing that, probably to spread out the bets so they won't be noticed. But my real concern is that the bettors are given money by the mastermind of the syndicate and then expected to share the winnings. Isn't it also skeptical that someone, the capitalist, is willing to lend that money to bettors without assurance that it will be used according to purpose?

Quote
I'm really skeptic with people who offer to make more money.
Your opinion would be valid if they required a payment from a gambler to get that fixed match information or tip.

This is from the OP.....
....that he's in a Facebook group of approximately 100 users, where the "administrator" is distributing money on certain matches of completely unknown teams in India, Guatemala, Pakistan, or other countries, with odds usually higher than 1.7 to 1.8.

The only catch is that they have to a share portion of the earnings with the group's administrator, who is basically giving you the money to make the bets.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What need to follow to play the stress free gambling game on: May 20, 2024, 12:31:44 PM
Many gamblers who come new to the gambling was play the game with more confidence to win the money. But they forgot the money used in the game will allow to multiple or to be loss. The gamblers should play the responsible game to avoid of the stress after the gambling loss,if they agree to use the money with both the possibility. So the gamblers won’t complain for the loss in the gambling, they agree with the loss and move to their real life. This was the first thing to avoid the stress after the loss, the second one was playing the gambling with less capital. If you get 500$ free money, use only the 100$ to the gambling,So use the remaining money for the trading on cryptocurrency and for your family expenses.
To me for a responsible gambling if someone have such amount of money then I won't encourage to used about 20 percentage to gamble.. for instance $500 and someone's using 100$ is like 20 percentage from his salary so it's bad to use upto that amount to gamble at least 5 percentage is minimal to risk than going up to that amount. 25$ can be used for the main time but depending on how responsible you are to manage the money.

We have different ways of thinking when it comes to gambling. However, since we are all gamblers here, we enjoy the thrill of the action. Even within gambling, we have different preferences for games. The key here is to only gamble what you can afford to lose. It doesn't matter if it's 50% of your income as long as you can afford to lose it. By saying you can afford to lose it, I mean that you won't struggle financially if you lose that amount. Gambling is uncertain, and in reality, most of us lose, so it's better to be smart and accept these possibilities when gambling.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 20, 2024, 11:51:46 AM

Yup, Dallas already improve their defense I think that young stars inside can work against the two towers of Minnesota, while the competitions between Luka and ANT that's something fans will closely be monitored, both are electrifying and really have that huge impacts with how the team will play the game, adding to that both are the future face of this league, hopefully that friendly competition will serve as good inspiration for both superstars to bring all in winning the confernece title and possibly take the world title.

No one expected this match at the start of the playoffs and now that we're here, we can say that Mavericks is not that easy for the Timberwolves since they can play well and manage to adjust their play in the crucial moments of the game. They also have more experience than them but their problem right now is how they gonna stop Ant since they don't have a capable player to stop him right now except Luka will play and do his magic tricks again.
In order for Mavs to advance NBA Finals, I think also Luka needs a lot of his magic, even the amounts of we've never seen before. I respect Mavs but I agree with your points, yes they have more experience but who's gonna stop Edwards? Luka needs to be some legendary level, so much so that for years his legendary WCF performance must be talked about. I can't see a clear favourite but I am certain that Mavs's job is harder. Timberwolves defence stopped Nuggets at the end and won those 4 games, they might do the same to Mavs. In the beginning of this year and also in the beginning of playoffs, I didn't expect this much efficient Wolves. I can't see any reason why they can't get the title.
It's a complete different team so the approach would be different. If we compare the journey of these two teams, yes the Wolves have the tougher journey and that's the reason why they are listed as the favorite to win the series. Odds for the series bet are as follows.

Dallas to win 2.34
Minnesota to win 1.61

So with that odds, we can tell that the Wolves are only a slight favorite, that's a respect to the Mavericks because they also have a great journey so far.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 20, 2024, 05:54:55 AM
There's no problem with that strategy if you don't invest emotion in gambling. But the thing is, we gamble in the first place because we are having fun, and profit is just secondary. You know, there's no challenge in gambling if we are not having fun, so the best fulfillment as a gambler is when you are having fun and being profitable at the same time.

You can bet against yourself but learn to enjoy it in the long run, because if not, you are just gambling with no sense, it's just all about the greed of money, just like working in a company, you make money but you don't love your job, how would you feel?
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 20, 2024, 04:51:39 AM

At least Dallas were able to come back and win, I thought there will be a game 7 as OKC have dictated the game early. they just could not stop SGA, good thing Dallas have their own run as well and Luka shooting well despite having many turnovers.

I guess we gonna move to the 2 upcoming games.

First game, Knicks vs Pacers.

I have Pacers +3.5 and under 207.5

2nd game Wolves vs Nuggets

I have Nuggets -5 and under 196.5

\\  Updated record 20(W)-20(L)..... 50%

I thought I would be 3-1, I can't believe the Nuggets played like that, they are the defending champion and they aren't playing like they are suppose to in the 2nd half. I'm fine with the Wolves coming back in the 3rd quarter as it's expected, but in the 4th quarter, Nuggets didn't make the right adjustment and once again, they can't match the suffocating defense of the Wolves.

Anyway, I guess one day rest is needed, we will be back with the game 1 of the ECF.

Congratulatins to the Wolves bettors by the way.
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game asking for KYC before letting me Withdraw on: May 19, 2024, 09:39:29 PM
This KYC thing is the worst thing that has ever been implemented, that doesn't surprise me anymore, I know that things are like that with all casinos, KYC is required, but casinos should be more sincere, they should make the KYC culture always do it well, that is, instead of saying that they deposit, they should say that they have to comply with the KYC to avoid moments as uncomfortable as these, unnecessary dramas, until the casino does not do this, be honest, things They will always look that way, and it is unpleasant, both for the player and for the caisn, but more so for the player, because the player wants to have his money and the sun. If the caisno denies it, that puts anyone in a very bad mood.
I think KYC is fine as they are regulated, so they can implement that, however, asking too sensitive requirements is not acceptable IMO because they can just simplify it like asking a valid ID and take a live selfie with it. The same basic requirements that are being required to other gamblers, just for the sake of fairness and giving gamblers a comfortable feeling while they are enjoying the platform. For a gambler that has been loyal already, they should be treated like a VIP as they are one of the reasons while a casino is successful. With that said, I agree with @Crypt0Gore, instead of waiting, we should pass the KYC the from the very beginning so we can avoid this kind of situation.
We should accept the new normal now as these places are already that regulated on which means that even if t he past they arent that asking some KYC and now in todays years on which they've been changed up then it wont really be shocking yet government would really be needing for these business to get their license and they would really be under with some regulation on which it would really be something that would be passed up into the users and on the time that they would really be needing to comply some KYC for whatever reason it would be then as a user or gambler then you wont really be able to do something but needs to follow. Whether we do like it or not, they would really be going into this path on which such changes could happen overtime. It is really that might be taking up some time for other platforms but we are really that heading there.
Basic understanding on regulated casino is necessary so we will not be surprise if one day they'll make us comply the KYC even if we are gambling for years unbothered with this thing. I really don't like when casinos are asking sentitive information like passport and some maybe asking for a bank statement. Yes, a valid ID or a national ID to be specific is already enough to pass the KYC since KYC requirements should be specific and it should not be hard to comply, unless you are a terrorist and you want to hide your indentity.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake curse strikes again, rapper loses on Fury, Usyk bet on: May 19, 2024, 08:52:09 PM
This man just doesn't know when to stop gambling; he just finds so much fun in betting on some of these heavy boxers with so much confidence and staking large amounts of money.

Maybe the money that he has been losing doesn't affect his finances; if not, why will he still be gambling without taking a break? After all the losses that have been recorded, he still doesn't want to stop. How long will he continue like this? And if he doesn't stop, does he think his wealth and reputation won't be affected in any way?

With the big losses we've seen from his bet slips, I hope he's really having fun. yes, another bad bet by Drake, it seems like he always go with the obvious pick, that's why he lose most of the time. But that's him, as long as he's still making a lot of money, he can gamble with huge stake like it was just a regular bet for him. This is how millionaires gamble, just recently there was a news that Mayweather was held in Dubai due to $100 million debt in gambling, so this loss is not surprising at all but the curse is.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 19, 2024, 09:14:54 AM
Still an impressive game by SGA, dropping 36 points. The Thunder had 2 more field goals, but the Mavs had more free throws and were ahead by one 3-point shot. They were also beaten in rebounding by a difference of 16. That is very frustrating, losing your chance to go to the WCF by only 1 point. Anyway, I got 1 correct answer in the poll; the only one left is for the Wolves to win.
You have to remember that there's a game 7 if OKC succeeds in that game, so even if they win, it's still not guaranteed that they'll win in game 7. It's more disappointing for Dallas if they are not able to win that game when the opportunities were given to them. They came back from a big deficit and finished it right. I think they are more deserving of that spot.

I have PJ Washington as the hero of the game although Luka had a great performance and Irving played well too.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 19, 2024, 08:14:52 AM

It's a do or die game for the OKC tomorrow, while the Dallas would want to win the series at home. On the last 5 games, Dallas has more impressive win so I don't see the OKC coming back and force a game 7 on their home court. It might be a public bet but I believe based on the trend on the series, the home team could easily dominate, therefore my pick is ...

DALLAS -3.5 (loss)

\\  Updated record 18(W)-18(L)..... 50%

14  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 18, 2024, 09:59:18 PM
You don't need to consult or listen to analysis from any analyst, bitcoin's price increase is inevitable and will definitely happen, the only problem is time. That's why people often advise each other not to pay too much attention to the short-term volatility of bitcoin, look at the long term and bitcoin will never disappoint us.
I have not heard this in a long time and like the advice Smiley
It's funny how all these guys have appointed themselves experts of Bitcoin but where nowhere to be seen when price was worthless and few believed in crypto...but today have become the loudest!!

Btw, I do agree we don't need the so called consultants because we already know that Bitcoin supply is in a limited supply and price is going in one direction..which is UP.
Precisely. Bitcoin price increase is inevitable so we should not be bothered too much whenever bitcoin price touches some dips because clearly, that is a good motivation for bitcoin to reach an all time high after. We have seen this on the previous years so this isn’t new to us anymore.

Bitcoin is highly volatile so never expect that its price will stay high or low consistently. But for sure bitcoin won’t settle for any low or less value, but it’s price will always appreciate in time, we just have to wait for the right time when it’s suppose to happen.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivated you to join the forum? on: May 18, 2024, 09:19:33 PM
Different individual will have a different concept of what motivated then to join this community because I know quite well that from initial this community was not having a larger number it has today because there are still an advertisement by many persons we are doing in order to make the community to be known but today the community has been known based on much interest on people to Bitcoin because here is the shortest way you can learn the advantages and the disadvantages of Bitcoin without payment and I can see that what motivated people to come to this community is to acquire the knowledge of Bitcoin.
Acquiring bitcoin knowledge could be the first goal but in the end, it turns out making some profits out from being knowledgeable about bitcoin could be the final goal. I believe a lot would agree to this because through bitcoin knowledge and development of skills, we can always look for job opportunities that suit our skills and talents, or we can start engaging in bitcoin investment through long term hodling and make good profits when we start selling our bitcoin.

However, either it’s for pure knowledge or for profits, it’s still an advantage for us knowing about bitcoin and the crypto space since the world is turning into digital, and this could be a good preparation for us so we can be more aware and ready to use them as a mode of payment in the future, as they’re actually designed to perform as a currency, not just an investment tool alone.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Buying Vs Renting a Home- Which is the right move? on: May 18, 2024, 08:46:13 PM
Not a financial advice but if you have the financial capability to buy or build yourself a house then this would be better. If the idea is to generate profit with a large amount of money, which is why others choose to rent, well price of a property continuously increases over the years. But if you don't have this stretch on your budget then of course renting would be a better alternative. Bottomline is long term and short term views. There are also rent to own properties which could be an option as well

But I do also like the idea of renting an apartment or house. If you're in an apartment, you could leave the house for a vacation and just advice the landlord to make you free of worries. Another is if you are having a bad neighborhood, you could just move to other rental properties. Lastly, since you will be having enough financial margin, you will have an edge to engage with investments and if it will be profitable, you could plan of purchasing a property of your own afterwards.
You’re right there. Renting could be the best option if you still don’t have the means to buy, or if you want to reserve your funds for other purposes like building a business or investment first and when it profits, buying a house will be one of your goals. However, not all investments come into flourish and progress that you might end up with a wrong investment and lose all your funds. The reason why some who have all the means to buy prioritized buying their own house first before they will try to engage in investments where risks are inevitable.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 18, 2024, 08:08:30 AM
Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks game is tonight, New York Knicks are ahead 3-2 in the series and if they win tonight, they will play against Boston Celtics in the final.

Pacers didn't allowed that to happen, we have a game 7 and the momentum now is on the Pacers. Aside from that, Knicks seemed to have another injury problem with Josh Hart's abdominal soreness. We have to follow the update of this, if that will heal soon the better so he'll be ready in game 7 as they can't afford to lose another player after losing OG recently. Also, Knicks look tired, and they played small ball which doesn't really help them as they can't grab rebounds, and that resulted to a big rebounds disparity, 35 for them while Indiana has 47.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 18, 2024, 07:12:49 AM
it was a great morning when I wake up, a big win by the Pacers and the Nuggets have controlled the game. From down below 50%, now I'm up to 52%. Just a slow process and hopefully we will reach the 55% in no time.

So having another early picks, hopefully the streak will continue.

Cleveland +8.. Celtics may win but this time it will not be a blowout. I think the Cavaliers will play harder, will make good adjustment before leaving for the Celtics in game 5.  (win)

Dallas -1. I like them to take the 3-1 in the series. It's been 2 straight the Dallas had won and the OKC was not able to make the right adjustment. Irving hasn't played his best yet in the series, this game he might explode. (loss)

\\  Updated record 18(W)-17(L)..... 52%

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 17, 2024, 10:25:17 PM
I will not going to suggest any newbie to invest in crypto before learning because cryptocurrency trading is high risky, you can loss you all fund if you invest with out proper knowledge.
While I am going to suggest them to invest in Bitcoin only if they want to start. But it doesn't mean that they need not to invest to learning first. Every investor should be wise and that's what I am going to tell them to do. They need to DYOR.

Even it is with Bitcoin, they need to understand how it goes and how the market works for everyone. If they proceed to trading without that much understanding and idea of how the market works, they're just burning their money easily.

Because even then if you want to invest on bitcoin long-term you have know at least the basic about it .
I agree and I hope they understand it very well.
Investing in bitcoin is not actually risky. It only gets risky if you see it as a get rich quick tool. However, of course basic learning is vital so you can avoid too much losses while starting, and I think that’s not hard at all. Just merely reading and understanding what you have read can also already provide you valuable insights. Just never stop learning and finding out the reasons why you lose consistently, that way you will master your investment in due time.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I get into trading on: May 17, 2024, 09:59:50 PM
The first step is find resource materials online for trading. Read veraciously like your life depends on them. Babypips.com is a good place to source trading materials as a greenhorn. Get hold of different trading platforms (maybe two or three) to demo trade what you've been reading.
If you are having problems with understanding what you are reading, and it is not really making sense to you, you can get someone to assist you by explaining in their own terms and understanding some of these trading lessons.

Learning to trade will also need you to motivate yourself heavily because many traders who start out to learn trading end up quitting because it looks too difficult to learn.
I have to agree. Don’t make trading difficult for you regardless if you are still a beginner. I don’t actually agree that it’s always best to learn the harder way. Because for me, that would only make you easily quit and lose interest in trading.

If you can find someone who will serve as your mentor in trading, I think that would be more great. Trading even if a lot would say that it’s highly tough and risky, will always end up easier once you have someone that will help you along the way. Just do your own diligence to learn as well, and try to be patient as much as possible, I believe you will be a successful trader in the end.
