1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the most reliable way of earning Bitcoin on: July 02, 2024, 11:59:35 PM
Having your stable income or job and buying Bitcoin through that.

That's the most reliable way of earning Bitcoin because you have a stable income and that's what you will use for accumulation. Most of the people is that's what they do.

But if you want to get Bitcoin by not doing that, there are other ways like offering your service and get paid in Bitcoin.
I totally agree on this. It's difficult to acquire even a small portion of bitcoin if you don't have a sustainable flow of income. The reason why one should prioritize first getting a stable job before he will take part in any investment so that he can be consistent in building a reliable investment, and will accumulate continuously through DCA when it comes to bitcoin. Otherwise, you can't afford to invest if you don't have sufficient amount that you can't afford to lose.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin and not any Altcoin? on: July 02, 2024, 11:27:47 PM
What is your most important pro Bitcoin argument?
We know many Altcoins want to be better compared to Bitcoin but have failed so far
Please share here and also add a short comment why it is your most important Bitcoin argument.

My most important Bitcoin argument is PoW because PoW really ensures Bitcoin is safe and can't be attacked very easily, like it is possible for PoS, for example.

Why chose altcoins when there's highly reliable and trusted bitcoin? Altcoins are just alternative coins for bitcoin so if we are seeing the best potentials are in bitcoin, then there's no need to go down to altcoins. Don't make it complicated but just stick to bitcoin.

However, if you are looking for diversification, you can have bitcoin and other physical investments that still have great potentials to succeed, don't force yourself to invest in altcoins if you are not sure to gain ROI after risking your funds. The problem is you might end up investing with wrong altcoins, thus seeing all your funds going into waste.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] David Benavidez vs. Olexandr Gvozdyk interim WBC Championship on: July 01, 2024, 02:14:20 PM
So it's really best for him to just wait for Canelo, Alvarez will be criticized if he will not get David a chance. Maybe Alvarez is just waiting for the right timing to make the fight hype and ripe as possible so that it will one of the biggest fight and continue to be the cash cow in boxing. And again as we have seen Benavidez at 175 lbs, he is not as sharp and impressive.

Canelo should fight Benavidez, as I believe he can beat him. Benavidez's performance against Gvozdyk, in my opinion, was not impressive. Despite the win, I saw some weaknesses that Canelo could easily exploit. Before, I thought Benavidez had an edge against Canelo, but after seeing this fight, I've changed my mind. I believe Canelo should take this opportunity and win the battle. Canelo is often criticized for cherry-picking his opponents. This fight should satisfy the critics, and a win here will earn their respect.

He also pointed out that the nation’s gaming regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), has “unfortunately failed” to ensure all online gaming operators within the country operate legally and adhere to the nation’s regulatory compliance.
That's from the article in the OP.

What I understand about that is if we gamble on online casinos that operates illegally within the country, we will be fine 500k or $8,620 at the current (php =usd) rate. and could go to jail. So I believe this doesn't include online casinos that are not operating in the Philippines, and since most of the casinos here are not in the Philippines, therefore Filipinos would have no problem with their online gambling.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: July 01, 2024, 12:18:36 PM
And that's what the Spurs is lacking of, someone that can lead the team and with experience and age too. For sure that most of the players there are going to respect him. Compared to what with we've seen in the past that when Wemby's free and open and asking for the ball, he's not even given the pass.
At least the Spurs won't be pressured since they aren't currently a playoff team. With CP3 leading them and a good coach, the team should improve, as long as there's no problem with their chemistry. CP3 is probably the oldest on the roster, given that the Spurs are composed of young players. Now that they have an experienced and veteran PG, it's really exciting to see how they'll play next season.
Yes, there's not that much expectation during the 1st year of Wemby and now, this is a well planned addition by Coach Popo. I can't wait to see on how they're going to do with their first games since CP3 is going to manage it all and look after all of them inside the court.
The capability of CP3 of making the team better is not in question now as he is one of the best PG in the NBA. However, although I do not wish but I can't be confident enough that he'll stay healthy in the season. CP3 is already aging and he has been experiencing injuries that's why sometimes he is missing in some important games, hopefully it will not happen with the Spurs especially if they'll be in the playoffs.

While Paul George has signed with the Philly. His former teammate on the Clippers, James Harden will sign and go back to the Clippers with a 2-year $70 million contract.
Source: Reports: James Harden to return to Clippers on 2-year, $70 million deal[url]

PG's contract is huge, $212M for 4 years, that's $53 million per year, probably his biggest conract and he is blessed that after the serious injury he suffered he was able to come back and even improve his value.
Well, he deserve that. But it's known that all of the amounts that are projected and given to the players are always slashed with huge tax, agent's fee and other commissions that are taken from them. But yes, this is a big one and we can expect him to be with them for the next 4 years.

That's true, I think tax is the major deduction of that contact, however it's still a huge amount and PG had secured his future with another big contract. I know he'll do good in any team that he'll play but honestly, I have a little doubt if the chemistry will work between PG and Embiid.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: July 01, 2024, 09:34:34 AM
CP3 to the Spurs.
I guess that I was wrong with what I've said that wherever the wave is going to bring him, that he'll go there without thinking a lot and it's just for his remaining days in the league. Now, that's some extra vet really needed by the Spurs for Wemby.

I wouldn't be surprise if the Spurs will reach the playoffs next season.
CP3 love to play in a team that he can lead, and this is obviously the best team for him especially with Wemby being a guy who can dominate the paint and CP3 lob's to him would be so easy.

Great news for today, hopefully CP3's season will improve with this new team where no superstar (except the young Wemby).
And that's what the Spurs is lacking of, someone that can lead the team and with experience and age too. For sure that most of the players there are going to respect him. Multiplier or Win Amount

About this one, I have a suggestion. Can you convert the win amount into dollars? For example, 5 BTC in the past (like in 2015) was still small compared to 1 BTC at today's amount. By converting, you can rank the multiplier and the amount of wins accordingly.

As for my winning experience, I guess I wouldn't need to share here, as a $1000 win is not that large. Anyone can win this kind of amount on any day.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About betting on live events. on: June 30, 2024, 09:45:36 PM
So far i haven't found any free sites where i can set up live score parameters that alert me for right betting conditions. And i am starting to think i should build a bot for it. I don't even need it for betting, just alerting. I can do the betting manually.

I don't think there's a kind of sites that exist, maybe just a live scores like https://m.flashscore.info/ but under your condition, you have to set it yourself or just create a bot if you are good in programming.

You mean betting on live other than betting on pre-game?
Obviously betting on live because OP mentioned live betting, every sports bettor knows that term.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set a specific bankroll before gambling or not? on: June 30, 2024, 12:51:46 PM

I prefer having a bankroll for my gambling activities, so that I don't spend more than a specific amount for my gambling activities. Sometimes when I am less busy, I gamble more than when I am busy. I can use my bankroll of a week in just two days and I will quit gambling for that week.

Sometimes, I don't gamble at all because I have being busy with work, and my bankroll will be like that till when I gamble again. However, a gambler can abduct any style that suits his gambling life but the most important thing is that we don't get addicted and run at big loss.

You have great control, and I'm impressed by that. As for me, even though I'm busy, I always find a way to gamble. Since I bet on sports, it doesn't consume a lot of time, but sometimes if I feel emotional, it can really affect my job. Even just watching the box score can bother me because, with the size of the bet, I often feel mixed emotions. The amount of money we risk can really affect our emotions. When I bet $5 to $10, I can easily let go if I lose and not mind it much. However, if it's a bigger amount, I'll try everything to recover those losses, even though I always follow my limit.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think as a gambler we should allocate specific amount to gamble? on: June 30, 2024, 11:45:25 AM
Well, in my opinion, it is better to allocate some funds to your gambling balance when making a budget for the month, and I think 1-5% percent is feasible depending on the income strength of the gambler. Some people gamble without budget, and that is why they even end up to spend money that is not meant to be spent on gambling. Budget spending can actually help an individual live a reckless spending-free lifestyle, and it is applicable to gambling. If a gambler gambles with budge, it will help them live an additive-free lifestyle. It might not really work for everyone because we are all wired differently, but most people who live their lives according to the budget they make will not easily become addicted to gambling if they are gamblers.
It's easy to talk about budget when you don't have a strong gaming addiction. And if it is present, then what to do in this case? How to resist the temptation to win back money that has already been lost? Don't have an answer to this question? That's what I'm talking about. It's not as simple as it seems. At first I also thought and reflected, but practice showed completely different results. It got to the point where I even had to borrow money to play.
There's nothing we can do if we are already addicted, so we should prevent ourselves from getting addicted in the first place. This way, we can continue gambling based on what we can afford to lose. We need to have a budget and stick to it. It doesn't matter if we're rich or not because we know our own finances and we're the only ones who can manage them.

Some might say that rich people spend a lot of money on gambling because they are rich. While that might be true, it's a wrong mentality. Being rich doesn't mean they won't go bankrupt if they don't manage their money well.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 30, 2024, 07:31:24 AM
Unless you have the power to see the future, it's more likely just a coincidence. Personally, I've experienced winning a lottery (though not the major jackpot) by just thinking of a combination of numbers. I tried it again the next day and lost. So, it's superstitious to believe we can consistently win. The mathematical calculations, which give us a slim chance, still apply to this kind of game. We need to be realistic and not ambitious, thinking we can win consistently. This kind of game is meant to be played for fun, using only a small amount, due to its very slim chances.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: June 30, 2024, 06:50:32 AM
Have you seen some post about Thompson getting rumored to sign with the Nuggets, I think it's very disappointing and he might not end with the Nuggets.

As per the explanation in this article : https://www.essentiallysports.com/nba-active-basketball-news-denver-nuggets-news-klay-thompson-dream-in-free-agency-ends-despite-viral-denver-sighting-as-five-million-move-dictates-future/

Quote
Fans were surprised when one of them spotted Klay enjoying his off-season in a restaurant in Mile High City. Sure enough, murmurs began of him joining forces with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray to pursue another title. Moreover, joining the Denver side has always seemed like a “pipe dream” for Klay, and with KCP declining his $15.4 million player option- possibly becoming a free agent, KT could be the perfect replacement to fill that void, as per Shams Charania via Harrison Wind. However, how realistic is this?

This explains that it's only possible if Klay will accept a lower offer which I don't think would happen since there are other teams that are still willing to pursue him and could offer a better contract, probably not as big as his contract with the Warriors but closer to that.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways to invest in Bitcoin. on: June 29, 2024, 09:37:55 PM
Obviously, mining is no longer possible, at least for solo mining, it will cost you a lot of money and electricity so it's not feasible. As far as those mentioned by the OP, just DCA is the best one since this is applicable to everyone, from average Joe investors to big whales and institutions.

Lump sum might be good if you have that big capital and you time the market to buy when the price did go to a downward spiral.

You might want to look at @JayJuanGee [ANN] JJG Sustainable Bitcoin Withdrawal Strategy.

Talking about lump sum, I think this is also very risky when it comes to beginners. Don't dare to invest with only less knowing, familiarize the market first and if you can be able to sustain the risk and the long waiting game, then you are in. But personally, I don't suggest buying lump sum even with bitcoin. Bitcoin's future is still unknown, we still don't know how long will it last, even the whole crypto market.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: In July do we go bull and pass 75k? on: June 29, 2024, 03:51:08 PM
I am still bullish I will dca this month. I also believe we pass 75k in July.

I jumped the gun and started a July poll.

But being into dca and bullish I do not want to back off and accept defeat for btc.
Even if july do not seem to be bullish at all, I’ll still stick with DCA. That’s my best option to secure a potential amount of bitcoin when I’m no longer capable of buying anymore. However, I’m still optimistic that July will bring good news and eventually create a more bullish market for us, and when that happens, we may not stopped onto $75k only but might go beyond that price. That’s the most exciting when you are investing in a highly volatile coin, it may surprise you in an instant but it will also make you suddenly lose your future profits  when you don’t act cautiously.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't complicated but the fiat system is! on: June 29, 2024, 02:52:32 PM
There's no complications in bitcoin except those that have found it difficult to comprehend on learning new things, there's nothing heard from understanding what bitcoin is and how we can as well join from the way we see it, bitcoin is what others should see as the simplest thing to do because it will be the tyoe that can help change someone's story for good and not to use it as money, but through it, we can comfortably discover the way bitcoin is meant for others, fiat system is more complicated because it's being controlled by central
Bitcoin will only be complicated for those who are not open about bitcoin education, thinking that it will always be difficult for them to use and spend it for daily basis unlike fiat wherein they are born using that. However, for those who are always hunger for new technology, just like bitcoin, instead of seeing it as quite difficult and complicated, it turned out that they get more excited and interested using its new innovation. There is really nothing that we can’t learn from bitcoin, as long as the eagerness and motivation is present, and patience of course who will help you learn immensely.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Power of Social Trading: Can It Improve Decision-Making for New Traders? on: June 28, 2024, 10:52:42 PM
On the other hand, blindly following someone else's signals might not be the best recipe for success. So, what do you think?  Could this kind of social sharing improve decision-making for new traders?
If they, new traders, don't know how to trade, what should they do?

They should not trade. Listeing to others, on media, Facebook, Twitter, Binance Feed, Coinmarketcap feed, to trade with total dependence on analysis of others, is stupid. They will not know how their trades will end and with dependence like this, they will not learn anything through their trading experience. They can not improve themselves and will get more loss with time.

New traders must start with learning on trading courses, before they start trading with small capital.

Awesome cryptocurrency trading
Trading decision making is always hard and tough, most particularly if you are a beginner trader. However, with frequent experience in the market, with the help of social trading, that concern may also come to improve. But it’s always a must to gain knowledge and clear understanding on trading the market first before you decide trading with real money. Or else, you will keep losing your money, the more you trade, the bigger the losses you will continue to incur.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your most important crypto advice? on: June 28, 2024, 02:16:38 PM
1.  Buy
2.  HODL
3.  Not your Keys - Not Your Coin
4.  Keep your mouth shut.

5.  See #4
Keeping your mouth shut is one of the most important ways to protect one's privacy, aside from keeping your private keys and phrases safe from the eyes of others.

Some of the theft cases that I have read online are due to how lousy the holder is, which attracts people to either set hacking traps or physical attack robbing.

If some people can learn how to keep their mouths shut, their chances of protection for their holdings will increase.
I honestly agree. You will secure more your privacy and anonymity if you keep your mouth shut constantly. Don’t be too trusting to other people and share them important details, that will only put yourself at risk. And always stay low key. Don’t tell people your crypto success, but only keep it to yourself. Focus on your own growth and progress by constantly educating yourself, that will establish your bright future ahead of you.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold on: June 28, 2024, 01:26:49 PM
Guys I dont know what to do, should I invest in Gold or Bitcoin. Gold is more stable I know. But the bitcoin development is crazyy, imagine if you have bought it before 20 years... Grin
You don’t have to chose between bitcoin and gold because both are profitable investments. You can invest in them both, but I suggest put a bigger allocation for bitcoin something that you can still afford to lose since it’s still considered a high-risk investment. However, bitcoin is considered more safe and secured as long as you keep it in your own protected wallet, and history has proven that it offers the highest potential returns, something that other investments may take a lot of years before it can guarantee you.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quit the doubt, it's not too late for Bitcoin investment. on: June 27, 2024, 02:45:14 PM
Those people who think you're late investing in Bitcoin are those who are afraid to lose money. Investing always has a risk but if you believe in Bitcoin and if you can control your emotions then profitability will only come every 4 years, people who know more about Bitcoin already know the cycle every 4 years it is proven to always reach the new ATH.
Newbies or people who do not have much knowledge about Bitcoin are people who will always lose in the end because fear will consume them and lead to selling all their holdings.
Their is no late time to invest in bitcoin but fear allows some people to feel that their is only a time when it is good to buy bitcoin to hodl. For those who truly understands bitcoin it is always good to buy bitcoin whenever one can afford it, waiting for the price to get to the amount which is okay with one can be a waste of time. Buying now is a good opportunity that may take a longer time for one  to come across it again.

But I don't really blame those who think it is always late to invest in bitcoin because they do not have the real understanding to know that everything is an opportunity to buy bitcoin to invest.
Whether it’s late or not, that won’t matter at all if you don’t take action right now. Of course, fear will always be there, but if you want something to achieve in your life, control your fears and let yourself become highly motivated. Bitcoin will always be risky for those who have no real understanding and no real experience investing in bitcoin, but always know that risks could somehow be lessen or avoided if you take calculated risks, although risks will never be completely eliminated at all.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why you want to rank up in the forum? on: June 27, 2024, 02:16:15 PM
The higher the rank better the recognition will be in general,

Of course, it's not entirely true cause some low-ranked members can create attention with their exceptional technical skills but I am not that kind of intellect, I am just an average Joe who is trying to contribute in any way I can and legendary is the highest rank that a user can achieve (for now) so it's always on my goal list sooner or later I am on the journey towards it but not making it in a hurry or desperate to get merits in all these years.
I will agree on you. Not all high-ranked members received the same recognition than those highly reputable and well known in the forum. In fact, there are even those newbies who outperformed those in higher ranks, not to mention their well constructed post and high quality composition. That only proves that regardless of your rank or position in the forum, when it comes to posting performance, one who is more knowledgeable and well-informed receives more recognition and appreciation than those who’s performance is only at an average level.
