Sinner has smashed FAA in just 1 hour and 12 minutes. A kind of record...
6-0 6-2 The result is already clear by itself and Sinner confirms to be a player of another category.

FAA (personally) I see him as the bad copy of the famous player he was. Of course with Sinner there was no match, but in general he has doing literally really poor performances.

Yea, there arent any players outside Alcaraz who can live with Sinner.

Going into that match Sinner had not beaten FAA but that was going back to
2022 I think, both players are different now than they were. Felix was set to
become a massive talent and in the mean time Sinner EXPLODED onto the
scene.

Sinner plays Atmane shortly, this is going to be interesting! From nowhere
this Frenchman has beaten some top names, can he at least take a set from Sinner
I wonder?

It's incredible how Italian tennis is going so strong, truly incredible, the physical shape of these guys is crazy, wherever they go they make sparks fly, and it's no coincidence given that the guys in Italy and for Italy have won the Davids Cup, so I'd say it's not really a coincidence

All bets got wrecked today - Sinner had to retire the final just after 5 games. He
wasnt feeling well going into the match and had to retire.

In the womens final it has just started, My money is on Swiatek - straight win.

I really think Swiatek is in the ascendancy now and could claim the US Open title
and make her way back to no.1 in rankings.

US Open now, not really active in this thread but I’m happy to share that our young player Eala just won her match by upsetting the world number 15. Coming back from a shoulder injury, she had an impressive debut beating Clara Tauson. It’s another history for the Philippines since she’s the first Filipina to do this.

And along with that celebration, I also won my bet with a good return since she was a heavy underdog in that match.

US Open now, not really active in this thread but I’m happy to share that our young player Eala just won her match by upsetting the world number 15. Coming back from a shoulder injury, she had an impressive debut beating Clara Tauson. It’s another history for the Philippines since she’s the first Filipina to do this.

Its great for Eala, she is building as a player and gaining experience. Its also great
for tennis in the phillipines, she will make the sport more popular and inspire the
younger generation of players.

I didnt do any bets yesterday on the womens side of the tournament but I do have a
few on the mens side. My first bet on Medvedev lost when he was beaten in 5 sets
by Bonzi. I did a ML bet on a win, that was a mistake!

On the womens side I will be interested in Paolini, I think she is in form ATM
on hard courts.

May I know when Alex’s next match is? I’m not worried now because her possible opponent is lower ranked than her, but I may not like the betting odds for that, so I might just let it pass but still watch the game. Maybe if she wins and her next opponent is a higher ranked player, then she’ll be the underdog again, like against Tauson.

Not a fan of Alcaraz's new haircut, but it felt good to see him sail through to the next round as expected. Venus Williams crashing out so early didn't surprise me while Madison Keys upset stunned me.

Its Bucsa she plays and thats tomorrow, no time posted yet though. She isnt
a player I would be familiar with, I think she mostly plays doubles.

Eala has proven dhe is a giant killer of sorts so in theory Bucsa shouldnt be
a major problem for her.

Is anyone surprise that it was here arch nemesis that gave that welcoming speech to Maria to be in the hall of fame. To be honest, I didn't see it coming, or at least never know that both are really close friends outside as we haven't seen it. Unlike the men's division wherein we see Rafa, Federer and Djokovic together in some events. But I guess they are only rivals inside the court but best friends outside.

No nobody has discussed this and TBH I didnt realise this happened! She was
a great player although I found her "style" quite annoying with the sounds she
made while playing, like Sabalenka does currently.

While on court all the players are trying to beat each other and there are always a
handful who will end up being big rivals for a while, but off court can have
friendly relationships at least!

I wasnt wagering on tennis when Sharapova was playing so I never won
any money from her!
