1  Economy / Gambling / Re: UAAP Season 88th University Collegiate Tournament on: September 21, 2025, 11:52:31 PM
But is it possible to watch on cignal's website or anything on the web through browser after subscribing to them or it's only through TV? I think that it's more viable to watch the upcoming and future basketball pros than the current that we have in the PBA although I still love it as well. 300+ for 3 months isn't bad and I guess that it's also already in HD.
Hey dude Im only watching via my smart phone. Maybe it can on browsers too I think. What I did is play it on my phone and mirrored it on my television since it got a mirror function like this.

Anyway I think its worth it for 300plus pesos yeah the video graphics is good already for me. Ive only avail the premium but theres a premium plus which I think not necessary but it give you access to more channels and more movies and exclusive on cignal play.
Alright, thanks bro. I thought that it's only viewable on TV and requires a cable connection for it to be accessible. I've got now an idea about this cignal channel. On Wednesday, it's going to be UE and Ateneo. I'm only familiar with how UE plays but I'll get to see how this game will end up. And I am surprised that this schedule is for both women's and men's basketball.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Bet on the PH President Finishing His Term? on: September 21, 2025, 10:53:26 PM
Do you think he’ll still manage to serve out the full term despite the scandals? Or is the pressure just going to get too heavy?
The pressure is heavy on him but, if he's really loving the people he should step down or if he's going with the challenge of putting the corrupts into jail, he should do it right away. But sending back home one of the masterminds of the corruption, he can't even do that. Because speculation says that he's part of this massive corruption from the time that he's step in up to this moment. And so, they're careful in the deliberations and reading of the 2026 GAA budget. If they do the same insertions and blank spaces for that budget, they sure will be doomed. But I think he'll end up finishing his term.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: UAAP Season 88th University Collegiate Tournament on: September 21, 2025, 06:34:53 PM
In what channel or pages do you watch the UAAP games? the last time that I've watched it was telecasted on a TV channel.
Hey mate, Ive watched on Cignal Play, Ive subscribed to their 3months program worth 300+ Php. Theres a alot of channel there for Basketball like pba and even some series and movies for premium users.

Yeah I love UAAP thats why I subscribed at the time of their opening to watch games cause I cant rely on free streaming on Facebook which is not good to watch.
I can't watch on TV because my child wouldn't want me to change the channel as she watches her favorite shows on it. But is it possible to watch on cignal's website or anything on the web through browser after subscribing to them or it's only through TV? 4  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Blockchain ba talaga ang solusyon sa malawak na corruption? on: September 21, 2025, 05:24:32 PM
Tingin nyo may pag asa pa kaya ang bansa natin?

Or tuloyan tayong lulubog sa hinaharap?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we be concerned big firms and countries are hodling more bitcoin? on: September 20, 2025, 11:37:59 PM
The early adopters would have said that countries and big firms should also buy Bitcoin. And when it happened, we didn't like it anymore? I don't think that we should be bothered by that. They're part of the herd and this adoption is also giving them the sense to contribute of the growth of bitcoin. They're part of the massive adoption that many of us would like to happen. So, if they're hoarding more of it, the supply becomes scarcer and that will result to bigger demand and price. Although the scary part is when they start to dump it off, the price would also react rapidly and negatively.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours do you play in slots? on: September 20, 2025, 10:44:44 PM
It doesn't take me long hours when I play slots. I just assign an amount that's very small because I don't want to be too much for myself. Or any amount that I can afford to lose. It's not reaching hours of stay there and that's why discipline is very important whether we play slots or any game at all. And that's because if we spend too much time on it, we might lose not just our money but also our sanity. It's very important for someone to have that reminder for themselves so they won't be like the others who spent a lot of time and money and got nothing after.

Slot games are not something that you analyze or make research on so it's always best to actually have a fixed amount when going to play it because everything with slot is based on luck and when you don't have a fixated amount you intend in going to play with then you can end up wasting even more money than you initially plan and slots can keep you glued because the thought that the next spin will be your next win.
Yes, it's a RNG and luck based game. So, I think that I am doing it correctly when I have some specific amount and when I lose that, I stop and wait again until I have some thoughts of doing it again. The money there is very quick, you are quick to win but you're also quick to lose.

It doesn't take me long hours when I play slots. I just assign an amount that's very small because I don't want to be too much for myself. Or any amount that I can afford to lose. It's not reaching hours of stay there and that's why discipline is very important whether we play slots or any game at all. This is what i miss, not the slots on online sites which i find really boring, i mean the slots i see at the casino
It's very far from where i live so I've never really been able to experience the thrill of trying them live.
I think after a while I'd get bored though
When you get bored, as long as you have the access online. There is nothing you can do nor complain with that. While going with the physical ones is still different but depending on your situation, that's what you have to do with.

7  Economy / Gambling / Re: UAAP Season 88th University Collegiate Tournament on: September 20, 2025, 01:52:53 PM
I've just seen this thread. This gives me an interest to watch the games again in the UAAP. I don't watch often anymore our local basketball leagues including the PBA. But if there are people like you OP and the other kababayans that we have, this gives me the interest to be with people to talk about the games. In what channel or pages do you watch the UAAP games? the last time that I've watched it was telecasted on a TV channel.
8  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Babala sa mga shitcoin or pump.fun stream coin on: September 20, 2025, 12:45:14 PM
Hahahaha, welcome to pump.fun. Sumubok ako bumili nung kaka start mag stream si yska siguro mga around $80 total lang yun, then before siya mag send ng stream, nabenta ko around mga $100+ na total.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: FOREIGN AID- A HELPING HAND/ HINDRANCE on: September 19, 2025, 10:09:13 PM
In conclusion, foreign aid can't build prosperity but can just be useful during time of aid. Formerly poor countries like Singapore , South Korea and so on, shows that good government, trade and good investments is what a developing country really need. So, what's your take on this ? Do you think developing countries should rely less on foreign aid and focus more on trade, self reliance, innovation, etc., or is foreign trade helpful and needed in the growth & development of developing African countries.
The same with my country, the Philippines. We've been receiving foreign aids every year and it's another kind of help when natural disasters like typhoons, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and flash floods happens to us. But as the corruption have grown with those times, they're now exposed. The money that should be for the help of the people and for development of infrastructures, and should go to various sectors, are not being used the right way. I think that for a country to progress, it still need some help but not in this kind of aid but through trade deals. And that's for us to be taught how to fish and not to be given with fish.

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The rich is hugely favoured in gamble. on: September 19, 2025, 07:34:04 PM
I was having a conversation about gambling with two young men and one of them said gambling is not for the poor people, that it has the proclivity to favour rich people much than with the poor, and the examples he gave  made me to come close to endorsing his interpretation.

His argument is that the rich people gambling do not have to pack a lot of odds as in parlay bet to accumulate a high odd size that will give a satisfying potential win. The rich has the money to risk huge amount to a single game for instance 2 odds staked with $1 million to win $2 millions,  but the poor staking with $100 to win  $2 million has to pick multiple legs to accumulate odds to get such potential win.  It hence decreases the gambling winning chance whilst the rich gambler chance remains increased.
That's some bias argument he did there, the only thing that's favored in gambling are the houses. Because there is house edge and they're on this business to earn and not to make others win as all times with their money. While the rich has better chances due to the fact that they have more budget than the others. And so, that's what maybe he wants to tell. But to be honest, many poor are gambling because of the hope that someday they'll hit the jackpot and that's going to be the best thing ever for them that's going to be life changing.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: El Salvador's bitcoin on: September 19, 2025, 07:56:56 AM
They can and how funny that predictions market can bet on anything that can potentially happen and not in the future. From the politics, to economic markets, to bitcoin itself and countries which have adopted bitcoin. And now, into this, soon the country of El Salvador will no doubt going to reach a total asset of a billion dollars because of consistent accumulation and then the appreciation of the actual holdings that we have. But they only have to put out IMF with what they do because they're done with them and they have to pay the interest.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy is about competition on: September 19, 2025, 02:38:40 AM
The economy is not about competition, but innovation
And there's the competition in the innovation. Whichever is good for the consumers and cheaper, that's where the consumers go. So, you're right technically but that innovation is also making competition which we are seeing nowadays.

Competition is everywhere, that’s the reality. Even when we are still in our schooling era, we are already trained on how to compete and see competition not as a negative factor but a positive and healthy competition indeed.
Yes, it starts with schools. With the rankings and grading sheets that we have, there's already the competition and we've been set to do that because that's how the system works not only in education but in almost everything. Here in PH, in the perspective of the competitors, it's bad because it does damage to their business but it's not as it increases choices for consumers.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake aviator hack app is advertised on telegram on: September 18, 2025, 11:38:28 PM
And a greedy person will fall for that. They'd think that winning or earning is easy as they say but if they look into why they're told to them, they're the potential targets of these scammers or hackers. Because if a tool is profitable and it works and earns a lot of money for them, why tell the secret that they should keep it to themselves and make a lot of money out of it, right? they can enjoy that tool on their own and make themselves the richest people in their clan. But as you've said, these are too good to be true.

There are a lot of scams going on in Telegram and if we are not cautious enough, anyone could fall for them. I too fell for a stupid scam on Telegram.
There was a free group that said to be a pump group. I back tested its message and compared the price movement on dexscreener and the coins it claimed to pump seem to rise in price after they said it would. Considering the high success rate, I invested on the next coin it promoted, bought it by adding custom token on pancakeswap. After I invested it started going up x10 and in no time reached x100. I tried to cash it and sell the tokens but I couldn't.
At that time I realized you could write a token in a way people could buy it but won't be able to sell it.
And that's why people should be skeptic about things that are coming from there. There's a legitimate way to advertise in telegram but it's also used by the scammers to promote their fake casinos, scam tokens and other scamming schemes that they're advertising. There is no easy money in the market and as well as in playing in casinos. People need to remember that and they need to be curious about it and not to be gullible just because someone told them to give them some assurance that they'll earn significant amount of money with some few steps away to do it.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake aviator hack app is advertised on telegram on: September 18, 2025, 10:33:39 PM
It is always sounds good to be true when it comes to earning or winning something as a disguise for the app or website as to make their victims enticed by the fake offer. In my opinion, even if the tool is real or working is that they can modify the tool to make it download a malware to infect the victim's device before stealing the victim's crypto funds. To be safe, it's better if we don't use tools at alll as to avoid getting scammed by scammers.
And a greedy person will fall for that. They'd think that winning or earning is easy as they say but if they look into why they're told to them, they're the potential targets of these scammers or hackers. 16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your funniest gambling story? on: September 18, 2025, 09:25:12 PM
That's crazy, I can imagine if you've left with hundreds to thousands bucks left there and that kid had no idea how much he's spinning with it. You're probably in awe about it and don't want to say either be mad or find it funny but at your expense. This is why I sleep my computer if I go somewhere else or I need to do some tasks outside and will be back immediately. I guess the funniest that I've been is when we went to a local carnival and there are gambling games there as well, like the color games and other sort of it which is very popular here in the country. That like a $0.3 of bet of mine managed to be at least $10 and that's because I am only following someone's bet and wherever he puts his money on, I do it as well. The fun there is because of the crowded that's loud and talks a lot whenever they pull the trigger.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: We work to earn, not to struggle in life. on: September 18, 2025, 08:14:17 PM
This is what we get by living in a normal life and being in the rat race. While the rich people who doesn't have to be in the rat race anymore have broken the system on their own and made one for themselves. In our country, many are living with minimum wage and contractual jobs. The daily expenses isn't even going to be enough by the daily minimum wages that we earn. And that's the reason many chose to work abroad and find the better pasture. While it's completely different in other countries compared to ours. They chose to sacrifice themselves and be far away with their families to provide, to earn and at least have a better kind of life.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possibility of bitcoin pushing forward this year on: September 17, 2025, 10:16:51 PM
Is there any possibility that bitcoin could push forward to 120k dollars to 135k dollars unders the condition that momentune and institutional interest need to continue
There's the fed cut rate and it will only take a matter of time when we see those prices. Maybe going to $120k once again but we don't know if it's going to stay there for better. What we can do right now is just to wait until everything goes alright. But right now, watching the market is what we can do or if you want to stack some while you've got some spare, do it. The financial institutions are already there and all of them that have just got in are interested and stacking a lot of bitcoins for themselves, they know something that we've known even before they knew it.  Cheesy
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Basic rules in gambling on: September 17, 2025, 07:48:53 PM
Each gambling casinos has their basic rules alid down for us to follow and we must also be able to set some guidelines for ourselves for responsible gambling, because this will go in so many ways in helping how we gamble and the results we see from it, while some don't think of any of these, because they think they can do as they wish in gambling not minding how they are being affected by their actions in gambling.
It's important that we make rules for ourselves too. As it will serve as a guide and not only that, it will become a stopper if we have to stop right away. That's what many gamblers don't have when they gamble, they don't set guidelines for themselves and all they do is to gamble with everything that they have. This keeps us being a responsible gambler and we know how to make things right when we commit mistakes from time to time. They're only basic for us but to those who have forgotten how to follow it are having hard time to follow.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: politicians gambling on: September 17, 2025, 05:26:28 PM
That should not have happened. After all, politicians are also part of the government, even though they have a penchant for gambling, they should still not be able to do so. Because the government is trying to reduce the level of gambling, which means the government imposes it as a program to be completed. If politicians are found to also gamble, especially with large amounts, their performance is certainly disappointing. Such politicians may need to resign.
It's a different situation here in the Philippines. Yes, they've done something to reduce the gambling addiction from our countrymen and one of it is to unlink the e-wallets to online casinos. While these politicians and government employees, they've embezzled people's fund that should be for the flood control projects and that's the reason why we've been flooded even there is no typhoon at all and just some rainfall warning. They really are disappointing at all because they know what they're doing and they're aware that the money they're using to gamble is from the public funds.
