841  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Hardware wallet survey on: August 29, 2023, 12:32:14 PM
Ano ang issue with Ledger?

842  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Otoridad/Police nagbabala tungkol sa play to earn scheme on: August 29, 2023, 10:15:01 AM

843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: presuring someone into Bitcoin investment on: August 28, 2023, 08:02:10 PM
For sure, if your mother invested 2 years ago, she would get angry with you because the first price of Bitcoin 2 years ago was bigger than the current price, meaning you've lost money on it around 40%, which probably mocks you about it.
She will definitely get mad on him if he has introduced it way back then and forced his mom to invest.

So before telling someone, not only pressurize them but also ensure them that there is a probability of losing all your money because of it so that they are aware and not just seeing the huge price of it.
That's what they don't want to hear. When the market is up and green, they don't want to hear such negative reality from the person who introduced Bitcoin to them. But that's the right thing to do. When you're talking about the volatility of Bitcoin to them, it has to be precise and truthful and not just trying to attract them. We're not going to sugar coat our words just for them to get convinced, we don't need to convince them. We tell what Bitcoin is and its reality and up to them if they're going to study and research before investing.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 28, 2023, 05:51:28 PM
Do you think this move is a good one for the crypto adoption there and won’t the government be so strict with the use owing that it will be regulated by them fully?
Definitely a good move by the Hong Kong's government. Being strict is subjective but you can expect what to expect from them by approving these exchanges since they're regulated.

This is a good move to crypto adoption in that region since it’ll gain more use and popularity there. Privacy of ownership while trading with those platforms will be very limited. Overall, I think it is still a good development looking to the mass adoption of bitcoin we are anticipating for.
Not just entirely for the crypto community there but also for the government because it will serve more tax matters. And with the goal of its government to capitalize everything that they can gain tax to, they'll do it and that's why this is an initiative that proves of their goal to attain a certain target for their recovery plan due to covid-19 effect and global economic crisis.
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save in Stable Coin Or Save in Local Currency? on: August 28, 2023, 03:51:25 PM
Keeping from both could still lose them value as you wait for the right time to invest and buy BTCitcoin. There are two descriptions of safety that you are asking. Safety from the volatile and safety from cons. If it's with stable coins, you'll still possibly gonna get hacked by a hacker/con and that's a safety issue. While the same goes from the banks if you're someone who doesn't care about your browsing activity and you're entering important details and likely to be a victim of phishing then you're not safety at all. I'm just expanding the safety measures and precautions that you probably don't know yet prior to your investing plans.
846  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Otoridad/Police nagbabala tungkol sa play to earn scheme on: August 28, 2023, 11:31:32 AM

847  Economy / Gambling / Re: Thought's on many major fiat-crypto payment gateways ditching casino business's? on: August 27, 2023, 10:29:40 PM
If those payment processors are being monitored by their local regulators and there's a rule that they need to follow to cease accepting new casinos into their platform that shall use their services then they have to follow and obliged to obey. As much as for the sake of business, they'll surely love to follow and allow everyone to use them. But I guess there has to be a reason like the regulators that are closely monitoring and have became strict on their protocols so, they have no choice but to stop their partnership on them.

They just don't want to ruin their business by complying with what they are told to do.
Maybe, they have directive from their management not to accept any casino business anymore for the time being.
But once the regulators are fine with it, they will surely accept more of this in the future, because it is business.
We can't tell what's their reasoning but for sure they have valid one, because there are so many online casinos now that they do need such kind of payment gateway.
Yup, they're running a business and that's why they need to take care of it and whichever policy is being imposed they have no option but to follow it. And if that takes to stop making business with the casinos then they have to obliged with that. But I am thinking of a solution like them making a company B and that's solely going to offer the same service exclusively for the casinos. That's happening and they're just going to rename it and still follow some protocols and rules whatever is made for them to protect their business so, they can't also lose clients and revenue.

849  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best nonKYC exchange? on: August 27, 2023, 06:28:42 PM
Most non KYC CEX have daily withdrawal limits. MEXC is definitely a good exchange but they have a withdrawal limit of 5BTC per day. Unfortunately, is not available for US citizens unless the OP can use VPN.
That's right and most of these non KYC cexes are also likely to change that rule of having a nonkyc account and limits. Soon, it's possible that they're going to remove those free(nonkyc) accounts.

In my opinion mexc is the best one out there but you can even use binance without full KYC, your limit will be low tough.
Maybe dex are the future, who knows, no KYC so far on metamask...
I don't use mexc but if that's the only option and it supports TRC20 USDT which is what OP needs, yes it does since 2 years ago and this is what I have seen: MEXC now Supports USDC Deposit and Withdrawal on Tron Network(TRC-20)

853  Economy / Economics / Re: Having a problem a Personal Finance? on: August 26, 2023, 12:17:12 PM
[b.] Always hang out here on the Bitcointalk forum; you can see and learn a lot from this platform.
While it is common that many are successful and gives good advice on how you have to keep up with your personal finance. I'd say someone has to go better into other forums where it's mostly focused with money matters which is commonly be seen on social media platforms. There are actual influencers that are into finance but you have to choose the better ones because many of them are there to have sales pitch at their money advises so, from there you need to be wise already.
854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strategies of Institutional Bitcoin Accumulation and Their Motivations on: August 26, 2023, 09:02:13 AM
When Michael Saylor's, MicroStrategy buys bitcoin, the market price increase and they usually do so to mostly when the market is experiencing a down turn. Correct me if I am wrong but I am assuming they don't do so from miners via OTC trading offers. Keep reading . I was still years old(don't crucify me) when I learned that institutions can accumulate substantial amounts of Bitcoin without triggering significant fluctuations in the market price. They execute this through purchasing Bitcoin directly from miners via OTC trading offers. Now, I have learned that this is one of the ways that Blackrock is accumulating bitcoin. As some asked, I will ask here too: when institutions use this "silent" method to buy bitcoin, are they doing it to gain control of a large percentage of the market or it is purely profit driven?
IMHO, both. They won't just do it for the sake of adoption and the community but take note that they're an institution and no matter what is the reason for them to buy bitcoin, taking profit is part of it. Honestly, it makes me worried until when these huge institutions are going to start selling off. Like with SpaceX which isn't really a big institution that holds a lot of Bitcoin. But in terms of BlackRock and MSTR, they're the bigger player here. And that's why it's for both, they gain a huge part of the market and at the same time, taking profit is a reason that can't be removed.
855  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 25, 2023, 11:38:49 PM

856  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Otoridad/Police nagbabala tungkol sa play to earn scheme on: August 25, 2023, 10:10:57 PM

857  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: August 25, 2023, 08:18:12 PM
858  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 24, 2023, 11:46:40 PM
About classic sana nga imaintain nila ito.
859  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga POGO posible kayang magamit sa money laundering ? on: August 24, 2023, 10:48:12 PM
860  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 24, 2023, 09:45:18 PM

Baka tapos na yung me-time, good-time nila.
