301  Economy / Economics / Re: On retirement on: December 08, 2023, 09:46:37 PM
What term retirement usually denotes to is, to stop working. People often don't like job, so to retire usually tends to be on top of the list. However, if one likes what he does, he will do something similar to pass the time even after retirement.

Now, I'll be honest, I dunno what I am driving at but I wanted to spark topic about retirement. Now, you go,
I think retirement doesn't really mean that you'll stop working. It means that you'd retire from your corporate job but you'd still do things that you've used to do whether they make you earn money or not. It's just like releasing loads of works and you're free from stress and that's what makes someone retire for real. Look at the ultra rich people, they have all the means to retire and stop working and spend all their riches until they're dead but they don't just stop, they keep working on but with lesser loads and tasks. Maybe, that's what really retirement is.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term BTC Holders Who Still Haven't Cashed Out Any Big Profits? on: December 08, 2023, 08:37:56 PM
Let us just give an example and say that I am one of those people that have been holding for the last 5 years with the same amount. The reason why I am not selling because I am waiting specifically for a bigger amount that I can cash out big by that time. While it is seen that Bitcoin's price is going to keep on moving positively, this makes me optimistic to hold longer than to withdraw everytime the bull run is out but I am not sure where I'll spend that money. I don't want to let that profit sit on me because of inflation and that's why fiat sucks and bitcoin rocks. As fiat gets more inflation, bitcoin is more with deflation. So that's it, more about the bigger value that we can take in the future.
303  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 08, 2023, 03:28:21 AM
<snip>
Seryoso ba? Magkasalungat yung pansin natin, medyo natataka ako, haha.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: Inventing a job is better than finding a job on: December 07, 2023, 11:09:56 PM
I think everybody wants to have their own business but the fund to start something is where the problem lies.
And those everybody that wants to have the business that they're dreaming of, many of them are not capable of managing it even if they'll be funded. Because the lesson is there when they first start it and it's expected to fail.

It is easy for us to say we are going to do this and do that even after planning but we might not have the funds to keep that dream burning because of so many factors that includes, what to produce, how to produce, where to produce, fund to enable production etc.
Let's say you're already on the point of operation and you're able to do much with it. The problem goes now with the costing, there are a lot of factors need to consider just like what you've mentioned and the ones you've said are just the beginning because there's more to them.

This is one of the reasons why so many projects and investment keeps falling apart because yo get a rea answer to this could be very difficult or challenging to us even though we have the capital.
I admire those that started with a little capital and they rolled it throughout their operation and maintain it until they've seen the growth of it. Anyway, it's not always the capital that matters but how you know what you are doing when you started your own business and your long term vision including providing more workers job under you.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 07, 2023, 09:27:46 PM
Congratulations on your very first purchase. You just have to be consistent in DCAing because when everybody is telling you to do so and you have obeyed, you're also the one that shall take that result that's beneficial for you.

I had 2 btc when their price was less than $200, sadly my situation forced me to sell them at $300
That's sad but as long as you are able to use it when it was $300 and it has helped you by that time, I know that it sucks when the price is higher today compared to that time and it's way higher, there's nothing you can do now but to buy back and take the experience.

therefore I came to the conclusion that if we do not have economic stability we will not be able to maintain it in the long term.
but without a doubt it was a great investment.
It is true and that's the reason why you need to use your spare money or amount that you can take whatever happens.
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cooperation in trading crypto on: December 07, 2023, 12:40:15 PM
I thought that you're giving some advise and tips to the traders here and to the aspiring ones as well. But after reading these questions and answers that you've got. Are you a profitable trader? if yes, there's no need for you to ask people to trade for them. That's a bad offer that everyone should avoid because if someone who's lack knowledge that these things shouldn't be patronized, they're going to lose their money from these likely scams. $5k for cooperation as minimum? LOL. That's easy money for you, do yourself a favor, trade today and make that much.
As I said before, it is possible to do it with small money for testing. But to cooperate for a period of 3-6 months, working with amounts less than $5000 is not justified for me at all. I must add that I prefer to work with 4 people with a capital of $5000 instead of with 20 people with a capital of $1000. The reason is that the trades are not done by robots but by humans. Therefore, it is not possible to work with a large number of accounts.
It's better to consolidate all of your replies into one post because a mod is likely to do that if you won't do. Actually, this isn't about working with people but working with the money that will be allowed for you to use. I don't see a sense of it if you can make winnable trades, why there's a need to cooperate with other people. I won't even put it on public that I am the best profitable trader in the town and will keep digging the holes and caves of the exchanges until I become rich quietly.

I am the one who should laugh, not you. If I am willing to cooperate with an amount less than $1000, you will say that this amount is very small, why do you want to use the cooperation of others.
$1k or less than that isn't a small one, maybe from where you are it is but mostly it's not. If I'd do that to a stranger, I'd rather learn with that amount with my own trades but then, that's just me.

Someone who has been trading for years and has reached enough skill, why should he spend his time for small amounts?
For sure you are able to save and don't need the money of others.

309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where the mixers will promote their projects? on: December 06, 2023, 11:38:53 PM
The same I see Bitcoingarden forum looks quiet visitors and only a few active posts today means this forum can not be compared with bitcointalk and obviously the difference is too striking.
Well, yeah it looks like it, and yeah it's given, no forum can be compared to this forum, even the forum of bitcoin.com that was recently stopped its operation, i mean a year or two years ago i guess.
That's not an argument as nothing can be compared to bitcointalk. I think those companies(mixers) that want to continue to run their campaigns will find other way but even if they launch it with those alternative forums, they'd find little to no success there.

I'm sure one day they will find a good forum platform for mixer promotion.
Maybe or they'll keep their presence hidden from the clearnet and will have to stay on the dark shadows of the underground forum websites that can't be tracked(?).
310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoin investors violators? on: December 06, 2023, 10:09:28 PM
IMHO, in every country with that definition that you've said about Bitcoin investors there are other things that people are going against with their government. There are still some strict reinforcements from them but no matter what they do, there will be violators everywhere. Is this an important matter? Well, for me that it is not since I'm in a country that's so chill with things like related to Bitcoin but I don't know what may happen in the future. But this is a big concern for those that are found in those countries that are strict with the implementation of their rules against Bitcoin but I know that they can survive and know their thing and what must be done.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with the exponential appreciation of Bitcoin? (for the oldest on on: December 06, 2023, 08:58:28 PM
Those that have been buying at the top, it could have happened to you, me and everyone on this forum and even on the outside of this forum. It's a typical thing that usually happens for the Bitcoin buyers and we can't do anything about it. What we have to do is to just appreciate the gains that we have and forget about that mistake while learning from it. We're not always going to buy at the peak of the price because it's not going to do you any good unless you're fine to wait for another cycle that could be long like 4 years or more which is the typical duration of the next cycle for the bull run.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 06, 2023, 07:54:09 PM
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin?
Start by your practice and only looking into it. So, the practice is if you still have other assets in the forms of altcoins, sell them for Bitcoin and that's not just all about having the mindset but doing it actually so you'd stay.

And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?
Depends on how you're living and earning. Do you earn weekly? Then spend a portion of it, maybe 5% weekly will do already but you can increase that depending on your availability and willingness. There's always a way how to do DCA and only you can determine that since your info isn't complete so it's difficult to give you some plans.
313  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: December 06, 2023, 06:48:34 PM

Code:
No Priority | Low Priority | Medium Priority | High Priority
26 sat/vB       123 sat/vB       134 sat/vB          146 sat/vB
$1.60           $7.57            $8.25               $8.99

314  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: December 05, 2023, 09:57:25 PM

Cheesy

Sa ngayon ito ang fees natin:

Code:
No Priority | Low Priority | Medium Priority | High Priority
34 sat/vB       206 sat/vB       212 sat/vB          224 sat/vB
$2.10           $12.71            $13.14               $13.82

315  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Can we create a thread/post in english here the same as Indian Board? on: December 04, 2023, 11:32:52 PM

318  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Goodbye Philippines for Binance. on: December 02, 2023, 10:09:44 PM
While they're able to get the sentiment of most Philippine users, they also need to settle it through having their license to operate. I thought that when CZ was coming back and forth here, he's able to do that but it seems that there's still a lot of things to be made. I am hoping that the new CEO will do something to do about this before the given deadline because they just need to get registered and be legal in operations here. Well, if they don't and they'll be gone out of our country through blocking access through their website, that's fine for me and not a problem but for sure other local users will find a way to access them through VPN.
319  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 02, 2023, 10:41:25 AM
Good day everyone!
